Just like how Charlie Brown would run during fall or winter.

And run the risk of the wrath of the FCC.

Quite interesting.
Yes same 😂❤❤
Yes it’s odd it popped up for me but I definitely want to watch, I always liked this comic strip
Right on.
Same here.
When you hears Cathy's voice, it's very familiar...
It's because Cathy is voiced by Pepper Ann ( from Disney's One Saturday Morning) herself Kathleen Wilhoute!
Irving is also voiced by Rob Paulson
@@jasminelav.332 Yeah I just noticed!
No way
I think Mick is voiced by Frank Welker

Better than half of what’s getting animated using computers nowadays.
She’d definitely be the prettiest of the young military brides in married housing at Camp Swampy.
@@LindaCooper-i3f true tbh. don't get me wrong i like a lot of movies with cgi animation, but old school 2d just hits different.

I can easily see Cathy together with Dagwood Bumstead, Beetle Bailey, and Charlie Brown all moving into Hank Hill’s neighborhood.

I am glad for you. I myself have noticed this illiciting a sense of anemoia within me thanks to the qualities you observed within the master comment. I had only gained consciousness of this property just last evening.
Reminds me of the battle between Dr. Daisy’s Chickasaw Blood Builder versus Mother Myrtle’s Magic Mixture aka Mad Dog Myrtle’s Murdering Mixture in a certain episode of “THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES”.
I love the look of these comic strip to cartoon adaptations from the 70/80s. A lot of them have that human handmade look you don't get with new digital animation
Speaking of which, there was a Betty Crocker commercial Cathy appeared in, and that was a year before her first animated special. Funny thing is the commercial used digital ink and paint, still in its infancy.
i'm an artist who works in both CG and traditional art :-) and i think you might be interested to know there's a lot of digital animation out there that feels very human and handmade, with the invention of tools like blender's Grease Pencil. check out the film 'i lost my body'.
Good grief.
Well, be that as it may, one thing that that needs to happen, if at all possible, is to have Cathy dump Irving for Orville Snorkel aka Sarge (from the Beetle Bailey comics), and after a year and a half in married housing at Camp Swampy, they along with Orville’s dog Otto load up bag and baggage for the Texas town of Arlen after Orville is given an honorable discharge back into civilian life.
So, basically off they go in their vintage 1974 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe crewcab pickup truck with a vintage Airstream Double Axle Land Yacht Safari trailer being pulled behind the pickup.
Once that they arrive in Arlen, they first sign the papers to obtain legal ownership of the Dale Gribble house at 522 Rainey Street in Arlen; making them the new next door neighbors to Hank and Peggy Hill.
Ofcourse, the down payment on the house takes the greater majority of the discharge pay, which has them taking out a mortgage to payoff the remainder of purchase to Sizemore Realty and the commission for Peggy Hill who sold them the house in the first place.
Then Orville is granted a loan through the G.I. Bill, which he uses to open up a discount auto parts store in Arlen.
Once these things are underway, Hank helps Orville turn Dale’s basement into a rumpus room while Peggy provides help to Cathy in the selection of maternity clothes now that she’s expectant with Orville Jr?!
You think maybe you can possibly help us persuade Cathy Guisewite together with the heirs of Mort Walker to team up in getting Mike Judge convinced that he needs to allow for Cathy as well as Beetle Bailey to join the character lineup for the series revival of “KING OF THE HILL”?!
Therir voices are therapeutic

Imagine how it would look if she was in the series revival for “KING OF THE HILL”, living in the old Dale Gribble house at 522 South Rainey Street as a new next door neighbor to Texas propane salesman Hank Hill and his wife Peggy?
Yeah I had never heard or seen this before (as far as I can remember) but something about it is familiar.
Born in 86 here and I used to read the Cathy comic strip (among others) in the newspaper when I was kid.
There was a lot of hate towards the comic at the time. They thought she was anti feminist and only cared about losing weight and finding a man. I thought she portrayed womens anxieties and joy brilliantly
How unusual.
I've never heard of this it's so charming
Just wait until she dumps Irving for Orville Snorkel aka Sarge (from the Beetle Bailey comics), and then the fur will fly from Camp Swampy all the way to the Texas town of Arlen.

I can easily see the possibility of Cathy becoming a new next door neighbor to Hank and Peggy Hill.
For starters, just have Cathy dump Irving for Orville Snorkel aka Sarge (from the Beetle Bailey comics), and after a year and a half in the married housing at Camp Swampy, Orville gets an honorable discharge back into civilian life.
So they all three load up their vintage 1974 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe crewcab pickup truck with a vintage Airstream Double Axle Land Yacht Safari trailer hitched up to the rear bumper, and then they all head out for the Texas town of Arlen, where they buy the Dale Gribble house at 522 Rainey Street. Ofcourse, they have to take out a mortgage to payoff the remainder of what they owe to Sizemore Realty and the commission for Peggy. Then Orville is granted a loan through the G.I. After his whole first week of business, Orville then gets Hank’s help for converting Dale’s old basement into a rumpus room while Peggy is helping Cathy select maternity clothes now that she’s expectant with Orville Jr.
Don’t worry about Charlie Brown, he lives just across the street at 517 Rainey Street.

@@LindaCooper-i3fDid your psychiatrist recommend "Cathy" and/or responding to every single comment on it? 🤨
I’ve been on diet for 3 months 😭
At her own free will, unlike poor old Archie Bunker who was forced onto one because of the following factors:
Sometime halfway between Mike first meeting Gloria and Gloria’s miscarriage in that first season of “ALL IN THE FAMILY”, Archie testified for the state of New York at a malpractice hearing to determine whether the license to practice medicine, including surgery, of Dr. Herod Nelson, which not only got his license to practice medicine in the state of New York revoked permanently, but he then spent the next few years in the cleaning of bed pans at various free clinics.
However, when a certain colleague (employed as the company physician for Prendergast Tool & Dye), went on vacation, Nelson filled in for him, and that’s how Nelson found out where Archie Bunker was employed.
The first thing in his revenge plan was to force Archie onto an unfair diet to unnecessarily lose 25LBS and to take an unauthorized prescription for blood pressure pills as well.
Anyway, when the regular company physician returned from his vacation, Archie was off the diet, yet he found himself having to testify against Dr. Nelson again because without a license to practice medicine, Dr. Nelson wasn’t authorized to write the prescription for the blood pressure pills to Archie. So, even though Edith, Mike, and Gloria testified as character witnesses for Dr. Nelson, but the prosecutor got their testimony stricken from the record while the defense counselor (future Assistant District Attorney for the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) Richard Bay has the audacity to call in Reverend Chong to rebut Archie’s testimony, but somehow the prosecution prevented Reverend Chong from testifying altogether, eventually the jury found Dr. Nelson guilty of writing out a prescription without proper authorization to do so because the state of New York had revoked his license to practice medicine permanently a few years before, but this time, Dr. Nelson isn’t returning to the free clinics, he’s doing life without parole in the state penitentiary in Attica for endangering the life of Archie Bunker with an unfair diet and a phony prescription for blood pressure pills.
