- Typhoon Bebinca slammed into Shanghai, China, with destructive winds and rain that toppled thousands of trees and ripped apart buildings in the bustling business district.
They knew it was coming for a week and they are hanging onto trees and getting hit by roofs 🤦🏻

If they rarely get them, their buildings probably aren’t built to withstand that. 75mph winds can also topple trees that aren’t use to getting that kind of wind because trees that grow in windy areas put down stronger roots as they grow and may even develop denser or more flexible wood. Plants respond to the conditions they grow in so a sudden change can can really mess them up.
Thus a 75mph wind for them might be equivalent to 90mph winds for us.

It says that people in Shanghai are not used to typhoon because they rarely get it. In Guam, the weather people and the Governor will warn the people about a coming typhoon and get supplies of food, drinking water, candles or flashlights and make sure to tie down any thing that would fly like garden tools, etc. gas up your car too. All 6 months pregnant ladies should stay in the hospital for their safety. If the Governor says that we are in Condition of Readiness(COR) 2, then only emergency people will be out on the road or their stations like firefighters, Emergency Medical Staff in case they are needed.
That door came so close to hitting the guy in the blue shirt. And who knows where the glass went to the sliding glass door that flew off the building. Some things tore off like tissue paper.

I live in Shanghai and my compound is destroyed and the trees have fallen down it’s devastating to people my house was flooding with water trees fell on cars.

When the storm is announced people should remain in their homes and not to go to their work except those who work in hospitals or emergency institutions.

And I get it people out here thinking, 75 miles per hour. That's nothing. I see that in a thunderstorm, in Kansas or whatever the f*** that other guy said I get it, I know, get it. thing here is that you've probably experienced a 75 mile power gusts, or at most a storm. With that wind speed for an hour or 2, we're talking 75 mile per hour sustained winds over 24 hour period or more mm. It really starts to break down the human psyche an Infrastructure, I like when it's relentless hour after hour for over a day number one
