Rose Petal Place (1984) Animated Movie

- Rose Petal Place began a long time ago when a young girl was moving away from her lovely home and garden. She cried for her beloved garden because no one would be there to take care of her flowers. She didn't want them to perish so she made a secret wish that the flowers would live forever. Out of this magical wish, combined with her tears of love, brought Rose Petal and all of her friends (Lily Fair, Daffodil, Orchid, Sunny Sunflower, and Iris) to life. They still reside in this garden tending the little girl's flowers. Rose Petal made her home out of a watering pail that was left there and turned it into "palace." And so begins the tale..."

Ikr, I was beginning to think I was experiencing the Mandela effect because at first I couldn't find anything online about this movie but knew for a fact I'd seen it many times as a child.
Right? I remember watching this as a kid, but over time it's almost like it was just a fever dream or something. Nice to know it really is here.

This movie is proof that love, music, & good friends can be magical & its such a shame that you really don't get to see stuff like this anymore.

I never knew it was so old. I was born in 89 and I used to watch this on VHS at my grandma's when I was a kid. I just assumed it was from sometime in the early 90's.
i used to watch this when i was 4, i just spent the last 11 years trying to figure out the name of this movie, im 15 btw and i just found it, i feel amazing right now
LOVED this growing up. Wish I could find it on DVD. And it's still great.

Marie Osmond did a fantastic job voice acting and singing on this. Such underated talent.
I was obsessed with Rose Petal Place as a small child in the 80s! Though I have to admit, I found the live action scene of the girl crying over a flower to be extremely cringe, even then. I always wondered why she wouldn't just dig up the rose bush and take it with her, or pick her favorite rose and dry it, or something. I also always wondered how anyone can have a "favorite rose" when roses just bloom and then die a short time later. Other than those concerns, though, I absolutely loved it!
I guess I should also point out that I'm not Dave, I'm Mrs. Dave - he might not appreciate me making people think he loved RPP as a child!
I have looked for this for years! Watched it with my grandmother when I was probably 4 and could only very vaguely remember it. Thought for sure I was crazy since no one else remembered It! Thank you for posting!

I'm glad I remember this movie from 40 yrs. Ago because I remember this movie when I was 1yr. Old when my grandma wycoff was alive.
This is the first time I watched it, unlike everyone else already watched it 30-40 years ago. Well, I wasn't born and neither of us know this show. Just like Thumbelina (animated) and other one, I don't remember the name. Three of them is on ±1980 and I'm born in 1995, my mom is late pregnancy for 7 years.

Is there another movie of this? I’ve been trying to find a cartoon that this seems to fit more than any other one I’ve seen while searching. But it’s just not how I remember it. I remember the house being more like a small cottage and an old woman who lived in it. And I remember they did each look like a flower but they had wings like fairies.
