when Staffan asked where she gets all the jokes from, I realized how in the moment she lives, she doesn't worry if the joke will be funny or not, no pressure no expectations, and that's how she gets it, just living in the present moment and not worrying about the outcome.

After years of searching for the 'key to life', I believe being present is it. That is where all our power lies.
Not in the past or the future, one is a memory and one hasn't happened yet. It's amazing how simple yet complex it is to stay present, but it makes the most sense.

Got my boss and my supervisor noticing and complimenting me on the quality and speed I picked things up, offering me alternative positions which are easier and with a better pay only a few hours ago as of writing this. I've been there for a month now. Things get better man, take it easy on yourself but try not to get as complacent as I did for all those years, it's a downward spiral that doesn't end until you decide to stop and start climbing again.

The concept of it being "too late" for anything, even at my relatively young age, tends to trip me up. Been trying to live like I can do anything at any time, and I truly think we all can. Seeing it in practice here is wonderful!

I think we’re all vulnerable to it, to be honest, and it’s good to be reminded that it’s all relative. We can still do what we can today, and not “rusting out” as she said, keeps in better shape to keep doing what is important to us.

When I went to uni, we would send each other letters. Sadly, she passed away 20 years ago, but I always think of her whenever I hear the name John McClane.

And their domestic flights are amazing too, they feed you on every dang flight even if it’s a short one. Such lovely people too, I’m not at all surprised they rose to the occasion and were so kind to Dorothy. Nothing more fitting than Dorthy being sent off with a rainbow to visit OZ!!! I fluctuated between crying and smiling until my face hurt. These two episodes were recommended to me by a friend. I am so glad I watched. Dorothy is truly amazing. What an incredible thing you did and the beauty of it was it was that it’ is so clear that the connection was genuine. My mother is 107 & 8 months old. Unfortunately dementia set in a couple of years ago. Watching this and thinking about the emotions I felt, made me realize how blessed both she and I have been. I have to reframe my thought process from one of sadness to that of being grateful for all the experiences we were able to have. Thank you for sharing this story, and you now have a new 73 yr old subscriber. Cheers to Dorothy and her daughter!! You guys are gems.

At 102 I can't imagine how she is feeling, but the smile on her face always shows that she is in complete control over her emotions and how her day pans out. BTW, I just realized that since Miss Dorothy is now 102 , that means she was born in 1922- the same year as Judy Garland!

This Dorothy story / adventure made me choke up, laugh, cry, and reminisce...
In our family we have 2 long lived grandpas (107 and 99) and one long lived grandma (89) unfortunately our other grandma flew up to heaven just before I crash landed on earth 30 years ago and I never met her. I lost my 107 year old grandpa just 2 years ago, and these two videos of Dorothy made me remember him vividly, and when my story is all said and done I hope I remember this video, I hope when I see my grandparents in the sky I will hug them like how I hugged them as a young lad.

I love chatting with elders because they have seen the world in such a different time and this reminds me every day that nothing is static and social change actually happens very quickly. Everyone has a story to tell and something I can learn from. I hope I can have a fraction of Dorothy's zest for life at that age.
