I lived in the same block as Reg and his family last year - he is genuinely one of the kindest people, and a total legend of East London (he tells fascinating stories of the old east-end incl encounters with the infamous Kray twins). When moving house, my transit plans fell through last minute…he kindly offered to take me to the new place and we managed to squeeze all my possessions into his cab! He even tried to refuse payment when we arrived. What a incredible guy and an inspiration for all. 👏🤝

This is amazing! 4 years ago I was visiting London and having the worst day of my life when Reg pickup me up and drove me to my hotel. We had a conversation on the way there and he offered me some advice which actually gave me perspective at a point where I was close to losing hope. I often think about him and how much his words touched me when I was at my lowest point. So great to see someone who has probably given so much to so many strangers receive that same kindness from strangers!!
I’m up at 1:37 AM. Just finished watching this. Face is covered in tears because of how pure this was. Reg reminds me of my grandfather, the same Sikh values of spreading kindness and happiness. Thank you for helping me remember.
Nice to see someone who is 100% genuine for a change, not looking for any clout or clicks just happy to have been given the opportunity and to have the company of yes theory intertwined with what he does for a living
In the end when he is hugging everyone, he cries and calls them "mera puttar" in Punjabi. "My sons" in English hits one way, but the same thing said in his native language, filled with emotions, shows how genuine he is and so is that moment. Loved this video. I did not intend to watch it because it was long, but I ended up keeping everything aside to watch it completely in 1 go. This was my first Yes Theory video. And I am a proud subscriber now.
Definitely got me. I feel like the only way English could do justice the emotions of "Mera puttar" would be like saying my darling sons or my beloved sons.
I don't know why this was in my feed but I so needed this. I have been a bit of a dark place. This video snapped me back it showed me how much love is out there. Thank you Reg and your sons
I was thinking to myself “how do you always find the most perfect people for these?” I realized it’s because so many incredible people are out there, good people are common. That’s comforting to realize.
There is magic in this world. The more we embrace spontaneity, love, and positivity, the more this magic shows its face. Either through synchronicity, right-time-right-place experiences, to outright miracles that defy everything we think we know about life and ourselves.
You couldn't have picked better guys. Reg does charity, has amazing humour and gets along with any person, is a hard-working family man that wants the best for his family. This video was a heartwarming touch to my day. Thank you for sharing this story with us, and thank you for letting someone deserving to be a part of this story.
The fact that Reg quit his job to be able to go on this road trip is awesome he was enjoying every moment of the trip and the country-side looked absolutely beautiful.
I do not understand how a RUclips channel consisting of just normal guys like us can pack so much emotion and come up with such simple yet brilliant stuff and execute it so darn well. I'm not exaggerating when I say this, for years Yes Theory has been making videos that hit you emotionally in such a manner that previously only the best of movies, music or books would. There is no doubt in my mind that they are the best RUclips channel in the world.
Wow!! I don't screenshot comments all that often but this one really got me! If people knew really how much effort we pour into all the details throughout the whole process while of course trying to stay present for the experience, they'd know that creating this authentic space for emotions to flourish both while filming and then telling the story is very much intentional. Really appreciate your comment and support my friend! - Thomas
@@YesTheory First of all, I cannot believe you guys read what I had to say. I just said what I felt from my heart, without thinking, as soon I finished the video. You guys have no idea what or how much you mean to people. Thank you Yes Theory and thank you Thomas. Love from India.
I really appreciate how intergenerational your videos are. It can be so easy just to be around same-aged people, but we learn so so so much when we build friendships across ages and generations. Love it!
What really amazes me is that Reg drives for 48 years, likely living a regular life and a random encounter coupled with his inner beauty brings about a life moment that most never gets to experience, a break that puts him in the hearts of millions. Moral of the story, keep being nice and open to chaos, life is full of sweet surprises. You are in one more heart now, Reg, love you!
Suffering from severe Depression and Loneliness for a very long time, these 49 minutes were therapy for me. Literally. I smiled and had tears of joy throughout the whole video. Thank you YesTheory for yet another gem of a video. And you couldn't have picked a better person to join that adventure. Reg`s vibe and humor, absolutely priceless. What a legend.
The Lord Jesus Christ bless you. He died for us for our sins and also for you my friend on the Cross, and rised from the death, so we can belive in him and live eternally I Hope you had a good day today.
Just take a shower. You will feel better and refreshed. Look outside. Go for a walk. Meet up with some friends or family. You will feel less isolated. It helps to dedicate 2 hours being off your phone, and outside your room. If you don't feel up for it, just open the curtain and allow some light in. It really helps being in a place with natural light. I hope this helps, and that you develop the skills to deal with your depression.
Bro... this can be a full length feature film and I already know that it will be my comfort movie. Loved every part of the video. It has all the emotions, an accident, and wisdom from an elderly man. Just wow. Also, kudos to the editing.
As a Sikh child raised by a Sikh dad, if you made him cry out of happiness, you really touched his soul.. Thank you guys again for doing such an amazing video and finding the literally perfect guy,, Thanks again
Had a Sikh cab driver in a town near Toronto that I got to know a few years back. Me and my friends ended being driven all around by this man and sometimes his wife, even met his son. Amazing family. When we were in a hurry he'd put on a cassette (yeah, old school) of trad music from his part of india and would drive insanely fast. Amazing guy!
You would be better to spend that money on merch than do a youtube donation. Google/Tube takes a huge percentage of the money. If you buy merch they get around the same amount but you get something cool too.

This video isn’t even an hour long, yet it’s better than quite a lot of movies that I’ve seen. I don’t think they could have found someone better for this video than Reg. It was so fun to see his excitement shine through more and more as he told people about their journey. What a beautiful emotional rollercoaster ❤️
They literally found the perfect guy. You actually cannot even pay the best actor in the world for this level of authenticity. This was a REALLY special episode
When reg started calling them his sons I started tearing up. You can tell that he created an unbreakable bond with them and I’m so happy that he was chosen. He was so grateful and embodies yes theory so well. We love you reg!
That by far is one of the best videos I have ever seen on RUclips! I am a 55 year Londoner and considered a hard man as we say in London. I have not cried in ages. That being said I am not ashamed to admit the end in particular had me crying like a baby. All of you were brilliant however I have to give Reg top honours. God bless Reg, his family and you guys for producing an amazing video. I just subscribed, liked your channel and certainly be watching Project Spiceman this coming weekend. Keep up the great job mates!
Reg is so pure. This has to be my favorite Yes Theory video. All of the Yes Theory videos are so uplifting, but this was different. It made me think about my dad and his sacrifices. I wanted to give him the trip he deserved, but he passed away in May. Now I’m trying to plan a future trip to Amsterdam to spread his ashes. Do the things you’ve always wanted to do. I know we all have to work to pay bills and survive, but you never know when your last days will come.
Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope your trip to Amsterdam helps you find peace and solace. Thanks for your reminder to live each day to the fullest!
What i loved the most about the video is THESE PEOPLE BEING SO RESPECTFUL TO REG and Reg probably living best moments of his life , thank you guys for adding us to such a wonderful journey
I'm so thankful that you you found Reg, he was a match made in heaven. He brought the energy and just kept on giving, such a beautiful person. I don't think I've laughed and got teary eyed so many times. You guys are the best...no, seriously. Reg had the trip of a lifetime that money cannot buy. You guys (Tom and crew) are truly amazing!!! ❤❤❤
As a Punjabi Sikh, understanding Punjabi, he truly appreciated you guys and what you did more then you think. He recited “Waheguru” multiple times which is how we refer to god meaning he truly appreciated this blessing. Proud to be Sikh 🙏❤️ Thank you Yes Theory and and thank you Reg for being the way you are 😂
I find myself getting emotional at all the excitement Reg has, truly you couldn't have picked a better person for this trip, he truly is a wonderful person, that enjoys every moment and deserves the best in life, hope that in the future we can see more things woth him in it.
Reg is absolutely 1000 aura. He’s a permentant Peter Pan man. He must be protected at every cost. He’s very appreciative and happy like an Indian puppy

Thank you and please continue to do what you're doing and giving people the most incredible experiences
I’ve worked with a couple of Sikhs in the past and they were the warmest most welcoming people. Reg was definitely a true reflection of the values I’d experienced in the past. Beautiful culture.

In saying that, I have to say that Reg, by far is the best man I’ve ever experienced through this show and I would love to meet him some day!! I have never commented on a RUclips video, but this has to be one of the most well-produced videos I have seen from any creator out there. Reg is an incredible human, and Yes Theory did an unbelievable job in bringing out the raw emotion of what true gratitude and kindness look like. Thank you Yes Theory from Sydney, Australia!
Literally about to burst into tears when Reg asked “what did I do in life to deserve this? This is a godsend” He is such a great person with a huge heart❤️ This video is full of pure happiness and love ❤️ What an amazing man!
This was exactly what I needed to see after our elections here in the US on Tuesday. Humans sharing kindness and laughter. I want to travel to Brick Lane for a curry with Cockney Reg. Peace and love to you all from North Carolina.

I drove a Cab from London to Mongolia, via Iran in 2007. I clocked the fare all the way there. £26,000 rounded down. Great journey. The Cab still sits outside a bar in Ulaan Bator. I sold it for charity and the bar bought it.
Run into any border problems at the time in Iran and or central Asia? Would be interested to know what they thought of a black cab with a GB register in Iran!
Iran was the only country where the border guards were corrupt and blatently kidnapped me. They demanded $70 to give my passport back. If I didn't I'd be picked up down the road and with no passport be jailed as a spy. The rest of Iran was very welcoming. I was lost looking for the oil office in Tabriz on my first day (this was during heavy sactions on Iran by the US and UK - they were rationing petrol and Diesel). Trying to find someone who spoke English on a morning saw one man on his way to work stop to get me a taxi and then came with me to the oil office and explained what I wanted. He then went off to work (now late) and refused anything but thanks. One person in Mashad in the far east of Iran saw me get into the Cab first thing on a morning and was overjoyed, telling me he had lived in London years before and that it reminded him of that and he never thought he'd ever see one in his home town. He ran a market stall and insisted I take sevral sandwiches, boxes of Pringles and large bottoles of coke as a thank you for making him happy that morning. It is illegal to leave the country with the currency (Rials) so I went around the market on my last day and gave it all away to beggars. Felt good. I tried to buy diesel in the countryside somewhere at a garage and the guy spoke no English and was just mesmerised by theis ancient looking vehicle. I gave him a postcard scene of London and he absolutely refused to accept any money for 80 litres of diesel. On the whole, border guards excpeted, I found the people of Iran to be extremely lovely. I have other stories of their kindness and offers to help, but I've gone on long enough. Other poor guards with guns in Khazakstan and Tajuikstan just took small amounts of money or cigarettes, but that was largely offered by me, not to facilitate anything, just as a freindly gesture. Turkmenistan was the most ovbiously odd country. I was followed by state security...literally four steps behind me, everywhere I went. It was blatent. They bugged my room, moved my bags to other rooms, followed me everywhere and I was only allowed in the country for 48 hours. @@MyUnoriginalUsername

This...to date...is the most beautiful video you guys have ever done. I always thought your videos were awesome and special and I've admired your spirit of adventure, brotherhood and humanity that has inspired the world to seek discomfort and explore themselves and others, but this video really touched me. Reg didn't quit his job . He gave he's taxi back . He will still be a London taxi driver. Just needs to rent a new taxi
I get it now.the first step to all that is good is to say yes; yes to yourself ;yes to life;yes to hope. Its not a theory its real

Felt nice to see him
I really appreciate how intergenerational your videos are. It can be so easy just to be around same-aged people, but we learn so so so much when we build friendships across ages and generations. Love it!
Reg is 1 in a million. His energy and everything about him is infectious. Such a hapoy soul. I have tears xx
Amazing
What really amazes me is that Reg drives for 48 years, likely living a regular life and a random encounter coupled with his inner beauty brings about a life moment that most never gets to experience, a break that puts him in the hearts of millions. Moral of the story, keep being nice and open to chaos, life is full of sweet surprises. You are in one more heart now, Reg, love you!
Dude's been driving for 48 years! He looks no older than me, and I'm 40!!

Literally once in a lifetime encounter, for both Yes Theory team and Reg.
God bless you bud..

Time is a healer chin up Chest out people like us are built different ❤
That's incredible. The story, you, him, I love everything.

Would be interested to know what they thought of a black cab with a GB register in Iran!
what an adventure
that's insane!!! the drive of a life haha
