The one I used to watch had the sound removed ages ago. I have this on VHS, but no more VCR, and cannot tell you how often I look to watch it again, because it was a childhood favorite. I was SO EXCITED to find this today.
Thank you for posting this! Look how many of us in the comments have been waiting over 30 years to watch this again! 🥰I use to rent it at our local video store when I was a little girl. I’ve always had fragments of memories but not enough to remember the name. The memories unlocked right now are off the charts! ❤️💁🏻♀️
I too would like to thank you for posting this. I was involved with a lot of the recording and mixing of the music soundtrack material at what then known as MCA Music I was given a VHS copy when it was released, but I no longer have a way to play it back. 👍👍
Thank you! I've been waiting years for someone to finally upload this! The last time I saw this I was probably 8 years old. It's crazy how fast the memories all came flooding back, though. The animation is even better than I remember... just gorgeous for an 80s cartoon. And those 80s 'Jem and the Holograms'-style pop/rock songs they used to put in these shows, god I miss that. The purple Blinkin was always my favorite one; I even had the toy when I was a kid (I might have had the caterpillar toy, too, as I seem to remember it, although it could have been one of my friend's). It truly was a lot of fun revisiting this cartoon decades later, so thank you again 🙂
Me too’! I use to rent this at the video store. For years I couldn’t remember the name so I went off my 39 yr old memory trying to google. I’ve waited years hoping someone would upload this in English!!! So many memories unlocked! ❤️
@@dreamguardian8320 There is another episode, I remember on television an episode in which the blinkins were in a palace ... Blink was the princess of the blinkins and she was escaping from her position by hiding in the tree house ...
This is cool! I remember Tracey Gold being credited as the voice of Shady in the Blinkins on imdb. Maybe she voices her in a different segment of this that features an alligator named Mr. Slime.
When I saw fire flies for the first time as a kid, I thought they were Blinkins, but I soon learned the truth. I did not know that the Blinkins were made in Japan. If only the Blinkins were able to become more popular, then they would still be around and be new, improved, and up to date as My Little Pony. Plus, we'd see more episodes.
@@ExtremeWreckno, they are in japan to. They were dubbed in japanesse . Also the creator of this was a japanese man living in america and working on ljn toys . He was the secret boyfrienf of one of LJN’s important workers . So the protect its so japanesse
I always love this animation movie video so much Because it is one of my favorite animation movie videos And I really think that it is so cool and so awesome animation movie video in the whole world
A very nice film but no wonder because the animation was made in Japan. The Americans don't have enough talent for it either. Only the story could be better. Maybe if James Cameron had written the script instead of Charles Swenson. The Blinkins are almost as good as the Smurfs but better than the stupid Teletubbies and the Minions!
I am seriously crying right now. This has unlocked such a deep memory of my childhood that I had forgotten about. Thank you.
I remember renting this from my local grocery store back in the 80s. Thank you for the nostalgia.
Thank you sooooooo much for uploading the Blinkins! Has been great to share this great bit of 80s nostalgia with my 5yr old!

I used to watch this when it came on TV here in Egypt during the 90s.
From what I remember, there were two specials.
Plus one that never made it to America.

@@Elementa2006 It's hard to find, but you could try typing E' Primavera if you want to find and watch it, if you can understand Italian that is.

I woudlnt believe it was made in Japan either! I mean the lip sync matches the English!
Yeah 😢
But blinkins are fireflies lol , they are the Same Insect
It was outsourced to Japan. The original toys this is based on was an LJN Toys thing, meaning an American thing.

Some adults doesn’t watch The Blinkins, except An American Tail.
What kind of bear is Mr. sneed? And I don’t mean your typical cartoon bear. I mean species

80s anime is awesome. Computer animation is overrated.
