When I was a kid in the 70's I used to love to sit in our backyard and watch the Soviet airliners land in Montreal. We lived right under the flight path 2 miles from Dorval airport.

My last flight on Aeroflot was back in 1995 and it was the only white knuckle plane ride of my life. The flight was so scary. All it did was vibrate from the time we took off to the time we landed. It was dirty and very cramped. I was lucky to meet a large group of Russians on their way home and they were passing the vodka. I got offered and didn't refuse...lol They made the flight so much better. Such nice folks and so much fun. I'll never forget when the plane landed how everyone clapped and cheered...lol I was never so happy to land.
Damn haha, you beat me to it. Also made a video about their A350, also to Dubai, also with a night in that capsule hotel, also with spending time in the lounge. Now I'll look like I copied you haha. Great video though! :)

Aeroflot is my fav i always travel by Aeroflot since I stay in Russia and my home country is India. Amazing!!!
was flying Aeroflot on the T73/ER from Moscow to JFK 3 years ago! It was absolutly great, aircraft was very clean, crew very friendly, everything was in perfect shape and foot was very good! I can`t say anything bad about Aeroflot :-))) good report buddy, take care
Flew Aeroflot Jan 1979 from Singapore to Moscow on a school trip. We were high school kids, from the American School in Singapore going on a senior trip. It was quite the experience! We were 12 high school kids with100 Russian seaman who had been on a boat in the South China Sea for 6 months!

I flew from Voronezh-Astrakhan-Baku-Voronezh with Aeroflot in 1986, the last time I went with them. It was a Tupolev both ways. It was a bit agrarian but the crew were great and the flights were uneventful apart from the back of a seat falling off, requiring a guy to move. I've had many, many better flights but I've never had a better adventure.
I flew with Aeroflot back in December 2021 on the same Airbus from Moscow to Cancun, and back. It was wonderful!
Aeroflot is my priority choice, cos Moscow has the geographic advantage for Europe - Eastern Asia routes, and the price is very competitive.
I have flown to Moscow from Dubai,London,Istanbul on Aeroflot several times and enjoyed flying with it,crew has always been welcoming and service not as slow as you have mentioned,and you have missed visiting the fountain at Terminal C of sheremetyevo air terminal ,thanks for sharing your experience,i enjoyed watching….keep it up👍

You are lucky to find space in that lounge as well, maybe it is because it was so early in the morning. In October I was there around 09:30 in the morning and managed to find a single seat to sit at... I like Aeroflot by the way! Thank you for sharing your videos

3:45 I love this Expo Livery from Emirates. It's vibrancy really does shine with slabs of blue and all the other the colours shown within the livery. Others will say that Emirates are doing too much with this one and that's fine, it's not everyone's cup of tea. So for that I'm giving this a solid 8/10.

I have flown with Aeroflot several times in last 15 years or so and both price and quality are very good. Also was able to test their TU-134 when they were still flying and must say Tupolevs are much cooler than anything flying today 👍
You should also try SSJ100. I have flown it 3 times so far and it has superior leg room to any other regional jet, very comfortable.

Very impressive ,I totally enjoyed your vlog.
I flew Aeroflot in 1990 Helsinki-Riga on a Tupelov. The seat backs didn't lock and the overhead baggage was on a long rack with no doors. The pilot was a daredevil, zooming into Riga airport like landing on an aircraft carrier. I think I paid about $330.

Yes!!! I flew with Aeroflot from Nice to Moscow 3 years ago and it was the best European airline (and I think I flew with all of them except few low-cost that I’m not interested to even try) and if you have any chance to get inside Russia try Sapsan = high speed train from Moscow to St.Petersburg, the Russian staff was top for all business / first class😘 (and food choices were👍)
Hi Josh, nice report. The large loo at the rear of the A350 is the disabled and wheelchair friendly one
The reason for the different coloured fuselage on Aeroflot is to do to with the wing paint. If the wings are naturally painted white, or at least not silver, then the fuselage is white. If the they are silver, like on an A320, the fuselage is silver to match the wings
If I ever make it to Europe Aeroflot looks like an attractive choice. "Meat, meat and meat" wouldn't suit, when I fly I go vegetarian but I'm sure they could cater for that.
I have flown SU many times to SVO, LED and even into Mongolia. I was always very satisfied. Good service, nice crew.

I was working in cargo for Alaska Airlines in Seattle USA, in the 80’s and we had an Aeroflot cargo jet arrive that our airline was ground handling. A co-worker and I had never been on a Russian plane so after the flight crew got off and to their hotel, we went onboard to check it out. There was a short ladder up to the cockpit and once we got up there, to our surprise, were a couple of empty VODKA BOTTLES! True story!!
It is safe to say that spirits were high, in that cockpit...

I totally loved the Emirates livery. I'd love to be clicked in front of this livery than any normal livery. Totally attractive.

EK Expo livery: 6/10. It does look like something a 10 year old might paint in art class, but it is eye-catching and it does draw attention to the Dubai Expo, which is what it is intended to do.
Actually I was flying the A380 expo version yesterday😳

How do you check the aircraft map on wether which seats are taken and which ones are empty?
The EXPO colour scheme means it will always stand out in a crowd. I just want the chance to fly on it. I'm giving it a 10.
Dubai Expo livery is bright, fun, appealing and creating conversation. I’m sure exactly what the marketing team hoped it would do. How did you wake up at 5am with your hair still on point ? 😜

I saw that Emirates livery when the A380 first returned after been repaint it flew to Los Angeles and I must say it’s a nice livery I haven’t seen it in LA for a long time now
Right, Aeroflot always has meals served almost at the middle of the flight. I take its red-eye sometimes, and meal takes forever to arrive, leaves me with no time to have even a short nap.
As a child in 2008 I once flew in Jetlite ( a subsidiary of Jet Airways which is now defunct ) it was where I saw those safety cards!
There will be no further reviews of Aeroflot for the foreseeable future!

Interesting video, Josh. I don’t know why but I think, the slow procedure of meal service is actually their style. I had a flight from Hanoi to Moscow, and the services were as slow as you had. Same with the flight from Bucharest to Moscow, but I was eating and drinking throughout the length of the flight lol.
Operated by Aeroflot and several Russian airlines from 1980 to 2011, the Soviet Ilyushin-86 wide-body aircraft was one of the very safest aircraft in the world. Of the built 106 copies, during 30 years of intensive operation, there was only one flight accident with 14 casualties.
That looks like the coolest most sophisticated terminal I have ever seen, love the transit hotel looks like your sleeping in a boat in a children's story book maybe would explain dreamy sleep, a little pricey, but love it, very impressive. 🌈😊

It’s funny how at 21:24 the croissant has the brand printed in Cyrillic ( chleb-Zavod) which literally translated is bread-trade. But the Yoghurt is written in English. Does this mean their Yoghurts are sourced outside of Russia??
I fly with Aeroflot from Warsaw to Hong Kong and must say was very good! Food was great service was wonderful and flight attendant was very pretty! Pity that there is no male fight attendant

No, I have never used the inflight wifi. But maybe if I was business travelling a lot of time on long haul flights I would. But for short hauls I do not see the need. The world can wait for three hours, usually :)

I remember the 747 Qantas special delivery in red, saw it once at an airport, truly eye-catching and remarkable.
These are not meant to be beautiful, it's art. It's bold. It's a statement. The fact you're asking questions about this Emirates plane means it works.

Last week I saw through Flightradar24 an Aeroflot flight landing at LAX, I had already planned on going there to plane spot… sadly I missed it. The times I’ve been there I haven’t seen Aeroflot but I’m hoping to see one, that or the Emirates Expo livery A380, I know it’s been to LAX before. I’m not saying it’s pretty but I do like how bold the colors are and it’s completely different from the usual and 50th anniversary liveries I usually see.
Imagine how exciting it was for me to see an Antonov last week flying out of Huntsville, of all places. I was insane with happiness.
I thing when you checked the toilet in the A350, there was a little problem with your camera or the lights.

Vielen Dank, Josh, für diesen interessanten Videoclip. Es war schön das neue Terminal von Scheremetevo zu sehen. Alles ist verändert verglichen seit den 80er Jahren, als ich davon nach Irkutsk flog. Jetzt ist es nicht möglich mit Aeroflot zu fliegen. Und es ist sogar gefährlich, weil Aeroflot keine Ersatzteile für die geraubten Flugzeuge bekommt. Du machst interessante Videoclips. Dein Besuch in Grünland hat mir sehr gefallen. Grüße aus Finnland!

I've been chasing Qatar Airways for over 2 years when they damaged my suitcase. I've spoken to them in Lagos, New York and Doha, and still nothing. Now I have no choice but to sue them.
@@sainnt its not the airlines fault. It’s the baggage handler’s fault cause they have to get the suitcases in the carts as fast as they can, so they have Time for the next flight.
@@imcvegas when your luggage is damaged between the time you check it in and the time you collect it, that's definitely the airline's fault because the baggage handler is working for the airline. That's why airlines pay you for damaged luggage.
On top of that, not properly logging the claim is also the airline's fault.

The Emirates livery is an advertisement for EXPO 2020 and it’s very attractive livery and does the job to attract attention
Malevich lounge named after Malevich who is very famous artist from 20th century worked in style off impressionism. Famous for painting "black square" which is actually black square on white board 😅
airplane wi fi usually are useless, i have tried it more than one time with Saudi Airline and Emirates and both times it was to slow and you can't even send a Whatsapp messages
Of all the Russian built airliners I always wanted to try a flight on, the IL-62 would be my choice. I think it would be wild to hear that quartet of Soloviev D-30s screaming all at once on takeoff. No other airliner other than the very similar VC-10 makes a noise like that. Like having four noisy kids in the back seat screaming to the top of their lungs for ice cream all at once LOL.

Well aeroflot could be interesting. As to the A380 5/10 bit garish but i still like it, its one of them. A350 Nice ceiling lights and seats as well. too long on refreshments josh, far too long, loo 10!!, sleep hole wasnt too bad, and shinnnyyyy airport C. A321 looked nice inside too, kinda comfy.

@Josh Cahill - I now challenge you to take a domestic flight on Aeroflot. Fly to someplace like Krasnodar out Simferopol. Then compare to S7 and Ural. I have found Aeroflot international flights to be great. Domestic? Can’t wait for your experience.
