I could totally throw back a plate of dove poppers!
Thanks for the shout out for the baby registry! 🥹 Love you bro.
So much appreciation for this community. Thank you to all of you that chip in.
We're breaking the cycle and it is scary and going to be hard without some of the typical family support not being there, but we know this baby boy is going to be surrounded by unconditional love. ❤️
You do some much man! Thank you for all you do for the cause

@@vusimngomezulu2500I'll tell you the answer if you buy me a baby gift.
my family is part Australian Aboriginal and they listen when the Governing body says Noah's flood was 6000 years ago. Knowing full well that Aboriginal people have been around for 50000 years... Aah the cognitive dissonance.
I remember telling my mom something similar to this, and I just remember the shock look on her face.
I thought they taught that the flood was 4500 years ago?
@@Adjacentred I haven't been there for a while now, you might be right, 4500 years ago sounds even more ridiculous.
I am not JW. But what is your proof that the flood didn’t happen 4500 years ago?
They don’t give a financial report at district conventions. They only do this at circuit assemblies where they know what the attendance will likely be. You’re right…it’s a cash grab.
It's so embarrassing that I believed this nonsense.
Nothing to be embarrassed about, it’s being human (unfortunately). Nasty people know how easy it is to manipulate + group pressure.
Yeah feel the same way
I know, I wonder why human will take these seriously. If I wasn’t 2nd generation (forced by parents) I would’ve slammed the door if they came to my door!
Oh, yes. Me too!
Amen
I realise just how much cognative dissonance I had to swallow for years. I hated conventions too! Thanks Wally - good stuff.
thanks! yeah it's crazy how much poop we had to eat all those years
The speakers at this convention are creepy. They do not look or sound human!
I totally noticed this, too. Their eyes look piercing... demonic... hypnotizing almost.... I can't even look at the eyes...it scares me a bit. I've been rewatching....
Imagine JWs think they are the most insighted people on earth but can’t even have insight watching these creepy men and think something is wrong😅Lett and Tony M. should’ve be enough!
I think AI has replaced all the speakers now.
I can't think of another place I have ever heard a group of people speak in this boring and robotic cadence. They lack any human emotion, and speak as if the audience were unable to comprehend anything spoken with energy and emotion. Just watching these clips makes me want to go take a nap.
Couple of the speakers come out so wide eyed. Voices.,locally seen same eyes, sometimes voices...at 6pm...then picture online or in print. Just saying , " off"
In South Africa, I recall helping build a convention hall. All paid for by the congregations, then we were charged to use it.
They love free labor.
They love free labor.
LOL yeah same here! charged to use the thing we built and maintained! what a loving privilege
Really wow
When I served in Texas, it was 140 miles to San Antonio to attend a regional convention. A good 4 hour drive. I never used JW suggestions for Motels as the last thing I wanted was to rub shoulders with stuck up self righteous individuals after suffering through a hot day at a Convention. One time in Portland Oregon they kicked me out of the section for Seniors and disabled because they said I didn't look old enough. And I had bilateral hip replacements, which made it difficult for me to scoot sideways in the regular convention seating. They were not nice to me. So I just left. 😮 one really has to experience the fake love bombing that exists at these Conventions.
So true! I only was a bible study for a few years, but I remember this 'Kingdom smile events'...
And then seeing my JW neighbours at other days: 100% gloomy, dull😢
Yeah Texas people were very strange in the organisation.. I used to go to circuit assemblies in San Antonio some seriously odd people
yeah it's so hard to describe but once you have lived it... you can never forget those convention feelings!
You are spot on. I foolishly got baptized when I was 30 years old and only a few years ago woke up and left. I went to assemblies and conventions in San Antonio, and early on there was a weird thing that happened in our family. My husband and I would scream and fight at each other when we were going back and forth to the conventions and I thought, something isn't right here, God's spirit should help us to get along, we never fight. So thinking back on that now, I can't believe how stupid I was to stay in this satanic cult without waking up sooner.
I don’t know if there was a rule in West but here in East years ago this org started to announce that witnesses are not allowed to rest at lobby during the talks given. Even the mothers with little ones were not allowed! It bothered me watching brothers telling those mothers with baby and sick ones to go back to their seats! I remember feeling what is going on to this org!
Beards, sisters in slacks...and now...begging for $...it's all "new light", and it's what's for dinner.
doves I think
JW conventions are the same as when a music artist goes on tour. It’s for money, they don’t do it just for fun. Summer concert tour.
yeah that is a good analogy
I have never been a JW and I’m actually an atheist. However, I love your videos. Good job buddy!
hey thanks! glad you like em
Back when conventions had "food service", the "food service" paid for the conventions expenses, the contribution boxes went to the Society. H L Menken said, "When they say it's not about the money, it's about the money."
When you wake up at 03:00 hrs, can’t sleep and find a new Wally video has dropped 👍🏻
Ha same here
hopefully it put you to sleep! lol

You do not owe your audience anything,
but it is a real treat every time that you do send out a new video!

ah thanks so much
It’s all about the money the whole cult is based on it . Defo crash grab as you say .
I remember driving 8 hrs to summer convention. They started around 9 lasted until 430-5. Long days complete BS
that sounds like some nonsense
I’m protesting the convention in Fort Wayne again this afternoon! 🎉 they are going nuts trying to surround us in brothers and direverting traffic every time we move 😂😂😂

What the heck is up with these travel videos?? It’s so ridiculous now. Great job as always on your part, Wally.

Endless discussion and debate

Wally, I love your sense of humor😅 Jw guy and others needed free vacation! I can't believe he's wearing tie on a field trip😂 They are feeding the crowds babies manna🤤I can not take it anymore🥱😩
I would be so pissed if I got that gig and then they told me I had to wear a tie out in the heat! lol
These fucking beards I can’t get used to them
And the "upside down head" look doesn't agree with me either! Grow your beard but shave your head bald?? WTF??
Yep a good reminder that all you are seeing is the ahole. You know because they are upside down. Now their breath makes sense..
We never had these ridiculous videos when I was going to conventions as a kid. At least it would have broke up the monotony of listening to these bumbling idiots. Conventions were so incredibly boring. You try to space out your bathroom breaks so you can stretch and just walk around. As a kid we would literally take a yellow school bus with no AC with others in our congregation to Yankee Stadium from our Kingdom Hall. Sitting in the sweltering August heat for days - I don’t know how we endured this year after year!
You are right about spacing out the bathroom breaks, and the lines were loooong, especially outside the women's bathroom. People were weirdly happy that the lines were so long, because then they felt that they could stretch their legs for longer and talk with others in the line, without feeling guilty for not paying full attention to what was going on at the stage all the time.
In the 1980's and 90's they had two 'live plays' to break up the monotony instead of the video's, one in two acts with costumes, and another shorter more modern play during the 4 day summer conventions.
Everybody sat there in the sweltering heat, waiving their 'Chinese hand fans', or used their publications to get some wind in their faces.
Also to break the monotony, a lot of people with babies and the elderly brought their camping chairs, and sat outside the convention halls, licking sun while listening to the speakers that were placed on the outside of the convention hall..
We endured because in those days the end was to come very very soon, and at the latest before the year 2000 begun!
As a teenager in the 60's, brought in by my parents, circuit assembly wasn't too bad. That was still when lunches could be " contributed " towards. Most of us older teens 'volunteered' for kp duties. That way there was a wired speaker in the kitchen we could listen to, But we were actually having a grand old time conversing with each other and getting to make REAL friendships, not the fake kind of today. Dist. we're an absolute bore. Glad that those days are long over for me. Anyone going today, PLEASE, use your critical thinking to see you are being used to the fullest by them for their benefit, not yours.🕊&❤
@@truelove11.11 aaah yes, I forgot about the live plays! Ours were at a Racetrack which I always loved because the facility would stretch the horses during intermission so I would get a chance to see them. But some seats were outside in the sun so we would have to bring umbrellas and towels cause our butt would sweat due to the scorching hot seats and having to wear slips under the dress.
I also remember having the free lunch but that was only during the regional assemblies. I learned early on methods to pass time. Counting seats, chairs, umbrellas, families without men…the way I learned how to zone out is still useful today😂😂😂
oh man! that sounds rough. In my family we were not allowed to go the bathroom during the program. We had to sit there in hold it
@@jazzkittenirl Don't recall meals ever being free at the Watchtower conventions. Real charities, like the Salvation Army, gave away food for free, but the Watchtower offered tokens that you could buy from the cashier at the beginning of each convention day. The tokens had an assigned value, and when one stood in line at a table serving diverse foods, one could get a token prised item according to the value of the token that you had. Whether it was a small pizza square, a hot dog, some mashed potato, coffee, cake or a small soft drink, the price was typically 1-2 dollars per item in the 80's - 90's, so conventions weren't a charity where you could get free or cheap food.
Also, at the end of each convention you could not exchange the remainder of the tokens value back into cash, so the only thing you could do was to donate the leftover tokens into the WT donation boxes that were placed at the exits of the convention centre, as those tokens had no value in the outside world. The next convention had tokens with different colours, so you could not save them either for the next time.
Aw so much cute but necessary stuff on the registry. Dang babies are expensive. Glad I could help a tiny bit.

13:35 did anyone notice that they keep that “echo” on the mics ..as if you are still seating in a convention hall?.. they could fix it but they don’t , on purpose.
yeah I tried to fix it but am not skilled enough to work out how! maybe in the future
@@exjehovahswitness no no not you! Lol the speaker giving the talk is who I was talking about. As he was talking, I was getting the same echo sound as if it was in the convention hall. I think they record it that way on purpose
@@exjehovahswitness you’re super skilled at the special effects that you use in your vids, Wally. And they’re very clever and witty and add a lot of enjoyment to watching your videos.
I hated most of the people at our Kingdom Hall so I actually liked the conventions and assemblies because then I didn’t have to go to the Kingdom Hall. Then when you volunteered you could miss some of the talks 🙂 or get out of the heat.
No, we didn't. We had live drama and there was a ridiculous like that. This is this is silly
yeah volunteering was the best! anything to get out of your seat

My memory of conventions was walking around looking for girls who were walking around looking for boys.. It was "Pick up" time!.. Other than that it was catching up on sleep time.. haha.. (Phil)
Yep, back in the 60's and early 70's😂😂
guilty as well!
Hahaha!
Hey Wally, in the Netherlands they now have 10 conventions in "Swifterband" which is a location completely owned by them and is also used for the other assemblies. They've renovated it so they can use this for all the assemblies. In the past they rented the "Jaarbeurs" in Utrecht, but to reduce costs they've moved all the conventions to Swifterband (because it's owned by them since 1975 and the mortgage is already payed off because it takes 30-40 years to pay it all). Maybe it's interesting to look into this. So indeed only costs for utilities and no mortgage costs. One big cash cow.
I have been there lol!
Great video Wally ❤
hey thanks!
Hey Wally. So convention would always be scheduled as it generates cash, & field service could go on the back burner as literature arent being sold anymore.

"We don't have to come here to..."
Means "Don't come here or you'll find out what really happened", or at least, what didn't happen according to WT

I would be interested in the effects of leaving the organization on non-English speaking members who are culturally inclined to have strong familial bonds.
yeah! there was a recent Documentary in dutch
They could have found promised land footage online and narrated over it for about $3.97.
LOL that's what I am saying
Tight-Pants Morris enjoys the Irish. Glug glug.
It must be such a blessing to be able to blame everything that goes wrong in your life on someone else. Namely Satan. Instead of actually taking any kind of responsibility, just blame someone else. Sounds like something God did.
Did I live long enough to see the org trying their hand at a culty (pseudo)history channel? 🤦🏻♀️
you sure did
@@exjehovahswitness Oh joy!
DISTRICT CONVENTIONS ARE BIG MONEY. The donations that WATCHTOWER makes off of everything connected to their conventions, are huge profits. Last year, Casa Grande Arizona, Assembly Hall, had conventions there for about 4 months straight, every weekend. Their one day conventions are roughly $12,000 in expenses, when they own the building before it was finished being built. And yet when schools were rented, like in Holbrook, AZ, it cost them $1,200 a weekend for a 2 day. Assembly Halls are huge profit making buildings, more than if they rented a huge stadium, they make more per day at their paid for Assembly Halls. Pure evil.
Comment for the algorithm.
much love
Great breakdown of this wally. But it's sickening to see these grown behind men with new beards that gray and they just got permission like little kids really sad they don't even see it. They always wanted them but gov body said no. Off topic but that makes me sick seeing them with such short memories that beards were just frowned upon. But now it's ok😂
I know so far there are more beards than not! So everyone wanted it but they were just waiting for big daddy WT to say it was okay
Well if they actually traveled to those places, they must have spent quite some money. I can't even take a local vacation.
Beard time 😂
Creeps.

You made me laugh many times my friend! I have been out many years but realize i still have layers i didnt know about coming off! Man you got me with the Riley thing. I was like WTF! He has the cool tshirts
lol
Is the a kimchi to your left? I love that Sh*t!
Funny how a prominent JW, JR said “religion is a snare and a racket “
It didn't hit until I was nearly out that why did we have expenses in the 5 digit range for an assembly hall that was already paid off (Woodburn) ? No one could give me a straight answer.
The speakers’ ‘brotherly’ way of speaking is in sharp contrast to their polished career criminal look. It’s scarily slick.
23:15 I will eat some flat bread now because you told me to. The video reminded me of the Indian Naan. The garlic one is delicious ! Thanks, bro !
Conventions and Assemblies do make money. I never heard an announcement that they were in deficit after those events and they had to tap into their savings accounts to cover the costs.
Money is really seriously getting to be an issue for them. Their growth now is not the west. Africa, Asia is the core growth now. Not going to have many donations, so need to up the begging for money. Of course flipping luxury properties and Kingdom halls using free labour is acceptable but doesn't bring in enough millions 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Anyone else noticed their congregations highly reflect this shift of congregation ? I noticed that at least more than half of the congregation I know are now Nigerian. Are the Witnesses actually funding people to come to assist their lack of interest by the local population ?
This is not to say I dislike that congregation. Just seems a loss in congregation members have to replace.
The members will be enthralled by the new Jesus drama. I suggest just watch the Chosen. Gives an emotional attachment to the Gospels and the Bible characters, without giving a biased slant.
I reckon they have some deep pockets! I think the donations are more to keep people invested in the ORG. It makes you feel like a shareholder and that you are really part of something special. just my humble opinion
@@exjehovahswitness Agree whole heartedly about the deep pockets. The organisation is essentially a property flipping business, it is obvious. I will never donate when they don't even agree with localised charity work for (wordly people) A lot of other Churches even have food banks to help struggling families.
Being honest I am increasingly worried about a few members of my local congregation. They are so entrenched in the doctrine. That is the main reason for staying. I was never brought up in the "Truth" and am older, so see the glaring cultiness. They know I am their best bet to try and get my family, friends in. That will never happen. They are so eager to keep me in that I get away with asking as many uncomfortable questions as I want. Also read the bible alone to get my own reasoning.
I have a huge fondness for the rank and file witness. I will never isolate myself my family, friends outside if the ORG.
Guess eventually will just have to wear a cross to a meeting and leave if they won't wake up.
Send love, peace, to everyone.
@@exjehovahswitnessThe problem with that is, other than the occasional resolution to cover congregational expenses, nothing is put to a vote of the rank-and-file publishers. Membership in the legal corporation has been limited to not more than 500 since October 1, 1945 (when the Charter amendments from the previous year took effect). Each change is announced and implemented by headquarters-and each change makes the organization just a little bit worse than before. Far from being shared, current witnesses are nothing more than human ATM’s from which the Society makes withdrawals at each turn. Or, to put it another way, Jehovah’s witnesses work for the Society and pay for the “privilege and honor” of doing so.
When they give the assembly accounts report they also do not mention the kickbacks they get from the hotels. They receive a rebate/commission for every room night used. Before covid it was 10% of the total room night revenue generated but I think now it is 6-8%.
I really like the shirt layering!!! Very nice..you seriously have a great sense of style..Wally❤

and how much does it really cost to rent a convention hall?? way back when they used to serve meals at least, but now you bring your own and in the actual jehovahs witness convention/meeting halls youre not allowed to eat in side the meeting hall! so you have to leave at breaks and lunch just to eat, so what exactly is all the costs accosiated with a convention!?
it's a bag of chips compared to what they haul in from these

I always used to feel so guilty because I never contributed at conventions . Both my husband and I were self employed so it cost us to take time off work to get there.
So glad now that I never bothered !! 😂

Is this Watchtower’s answer to David Attenborough?
They teach to 2nd guess one's self every breathing moment. I watch, hear neighbors, as if competing to get to rest first, sad, scarey as to the health outcome when they go without food to make sure they can donate more & more as they talk of how difficult, yet life saving it is to have matetials for door to door along with Bible studies.
Jehovah Witnesses religion is the farthest thing from biblical Christianity.
Mormonism is even wackier. Jesus comes to America lol
I would love all JW's to go visit the holy land!!! These places are all in the hands of 2000 year Christian churches are custodians. I have been there just prior to Covid, in the footsteps of Jesus. It is an amazing place to visit.
I’m assured, I’m assured! That Jehovah loves us when we give money. George Carlin says it the best.
But I’m glad that jobo is smiling when he hears the the sound of money in the donation boxes.
Another point, this area/ land that the Jesus and so called garden of Eden was… is UGLY. Not anything paradasic. That land looks as gruesome as sitting through a freaking convention!

Not if they have regional assemblies. There's no need to rent facilities since they own the regional halls for regional assemblies and yet, they do money grabs there too. Electricity, groundskeeping, landscaping, etc.

It's a nice touch they made the presenter wear service clothes (with tie) while he's trucking through hot historic and archeology sites.
