I believe they had to recall that issue. In my opinion I believe the people in that issue have left watchtower. I am an ex elder who disassociated in 2023. I have 6 friends who I still keep in contact with. Guess what? They also left watchtower! Most recently one of them left a month ago. I firmly believe watchtower will see the biggest decline in publishers since 1976

@@ASMR_Orangely The 1975 Armageddon prophesy was first unveiled in 1968 where the Governing Body teased in their watchtower that the world would end in 1975. Circuit overseers would do talks entitled “stay alive,til ‘75”
Anyway,when 1975 came and gone about 400,000 Jehovahs Witnesses left the organization in 1976.
Negativity and humour are total opposites.. The Watchtower claiming that those who find humorous things to say about the Watchtower are negative and critical is nonsense! The Watchtower's leaders take themselves very seriously. Too bad that they do not take the claims from a child who have been receiving unwanted intimate attention from one of those leaders just as seriously!!
Which church are true according to the Bible in this world? Because many churches are not true according to this scriptures, Matthew 7:21-23,Roman's 10;1-3,2Corintians 11:12-15,2thimoty 4:3-4,2Peter 2:1-3,1John 4:1.

My first thought when i heard about the delay for the August Watchtower was also the annual meeting.
But now i just think it is that they had articles discussing disfellowshipping and then Norway happened and GB #2. They didn't have the elders book ready or an update to the OD book. They said a future watchtower would provide more details. I think it's the August Watchtower and it's all evidence that the changes to DF are due to legal issues and none of this was planned out years in advance. Or at least they pulled the trigger sooner than planned.
Just my guess based on some rumors.
We really need to see the original August wt. If only someone could leak it.

Just stop going going to meetings & field service. Do it quietly. Don’t announce it or tell anyone. There’s absolute zero reason to explain yourself. They can’t do anything to you. If elders want to meet with you or whatever you can do so or not. Up to you. If you do, just listen to them, be respectful etc. and carry on with your life. That way they can’t claim you are apostate.
Please do. It’s just people. You’ll begin to find bits and pieces of a lovely Paradise already here. Life is so beautiful. ❤
Before leaving, first prepare for your new life outside. Get new friends etc. Also leaving is much easier while moving to another city. Do not dissociate, just fade out.
Transfer your records to another congregation preferably another circuit where few people know you than say to your new elders , you have a doctor's note saying you have anxiety and are unable to do crowds or meetings, trust me by " Law" the elders have to leave You " Alone " !!!
If they request to see your doctor's statement, you can rightfully decline because of " hippa" law confidentiality!!
So basically, transfer and say you have medical reasons for not showing up to your new congregation 😂😂😂 I'm soo extra 🙄🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
If the elders ask you questions about why you are fading, you don’t even need to agree to talk to them or even answer there texts. They have no -over over you and you owe them nothing

My dad used to tell me the end was coming in October, at the time he thought October, 1975.
But we did that in the 70’s, the doom and gloom stuff. 1975 was IT. All they’d be doing is repeating that cycle for the newer generation. They’re running out of things to talk about.
Watchtower is very noticeably pouring on the persecution porn these days. They know they can’t predict another date for the end of the world so are focusing on driving witnesses further into seclusion and secrecy by promoting their false doctrines that the world under Satan’s influence is coming after Jehovah’s Witnesses because they have “the Truth”. Just look at the recent videos openly showing witnesses with their ridiculous go-bags dodging notice of the police as they flee to a bookstudy location. Same video shows a JW woman nervously passing scrutiny by a policewoman on a city bus. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so blatantly designed to cause the same kind of fear in Witnesses German Jews experienced under Hitler’s regime! Many JW have mental health problems as it is. Wonder how much worse their afflictions will be now!!
The writing department is probably playing it safe and leaving that month’s watchtower open because nobody knows what those 9 dingalings will say during the annual meeting.
I am not nor will I ever be a JW. The reason I'm here is because my very close friends joined the organization. They tried to get me, as well, but they failed.
I started reading up a lot about the JW history, Charles Taze Russell, the beliefs, rules and regulations. I believe God sent someone in my life to keep me from joining. That someone was a lady by the name of Gloria.
Gloria was raised Catholic as I was, then her husband and her joined the JWs but got out right before they would have been baptized.
She opened my eyes, showed me where their "bible" had been changed and twisted to match their beliefs. It was at that point that I became a born-again Christian.
It didn't take long after that for the shunning to begin, and to them, I was an apostate. BTW, I wear the "apostate" badge with honor.
All this happened 40 years ago. I still pray for them to get out because I know God can move mountains, but lately, I have started to lose a little bit of hope.
I wrote all this just to say the following: Out of all the ex-JW RUclips channels, yours is my favorite. I am learning a lot of things that I never knew about this mind-controlling cult that has torn families apart, friends apart, even in a lot of instances, people taking their own lives.
Please keep up the good work; you never know who is watching. Maybe someone will be spared the JW cult. I know I was and I am so grateful to Jesus for sparing me. You now have a new subscriber 😊

@@joshuaarnold1895 Because I started taking 'bible" classes with them, I started following their rules; bottom line, I was going to be a JW. This went on for about six miserable months. They told me I would have to quit my job because I worked for the government as a court stenographer, 42 years now, working in the criminal court system. So, they assumed I wanted to go and be a JW; I almost did.
One day, a lady I worked with asked me what was wrong; I never smile anymore, I never tell my funny jokes anymore, so on. I didn't know she was a Christian. That's who introduced me to Gloria, my earth 😇 angel.
After I made the decision to accept Jesus as my one and only Savior, I was on a mission to get my friends out.
I bought every book I could find on the JWs, I studied, and I would go and show them the appropriate Bible verses that didn't match theirs, which inevitably turned into arguments.
The last time I did that and failed, I prayed to God to take that burden away and He did. I never called them again and they never called me.
A couple years after that, we found ourselves at a mutual friend's mother's funeral. When they saw me, they turned their backs to me and my ex-BFF ran to the elder ladies.
Some things were said, the word "apostate" came up and my ex-friend never talked to me nor hardly looked at me.
That's where I think I got the title 😃
If I'm wrong, let me know. But I kind of enjoyed wearing that badge. If you have to officially be an ex-JW, then I guess I am not an apostate and I'll take off the badge.
Don't let any organization force you to do anything you don't want to do. The JW aren't the only dangerous organization, scammers are everywhere preying on people's beliefs.
The current Watchtower just released and that you mention at 22.06 talks about trusting the GB before the GT begins and this article will be studied after the one that is missing. They still plan on studying that at the intended dates.
It's been suggested that the missing Watchtower is about the changes in how disfellowshipped people are to be treated and would include the changes regarding children. The new policy has been rushed in the first instance. It usually takes them months and months if not years to get their policies worded.
I think they don't like what they wrote and they want to reword it.

On the opposite is there are Elders and minor congregants who can testify in courts of law of the M. O. of the WARLOCK'S OR WICKED TOWER OF SINS.
Whenever they do an update with the JW app, they not only can fix bugs and security issues, which is common… But then they can also alter publications and make whatever tweaks they want to with anything you read on there

majority of us got rid of the useless materials. Big mistake. We should have kept them to show changes and mistruths. Org says "new light" but the word of God should never change.

The '2 minutes of Hate' that is required of everyone is also perilously similar to how JW's are brainwashed to feel about worldly people!
I highly recommend a read of this Dark dystopian novel for any ex Jehovah's Witness so they can understand what a dangerous cult they belong to! There are so many parallels between the book and the organization, it's amazing when you see all of it!
Let's hope it's something about reporting CSA to police or abolishing shunning! Maybe it will be OK to celebrate holidays ! Something really positive that brings families together! I hope I hope I hope!

“Critical” begets “critique”, which simply means to openly investigate, think over, make changes and intelligent choices for the purpose of study and adapting a more clear vision of the reality of a subject.
So why WT fears critical-thinking is beyond me. Critical thinking is not a threat, but a freeing from fears and ideas imbued in ones gullible mind, (if it comes to that) by other people’s strong opinions. If we did not think over, we could not reach imperative decisions. We would not make Presidential choices or attempt to better society, civilization. That’s it.

I'm so glad I don't go to the kingdom hall anymore and talking about these issues the last time I was threa I wanted to have a cigarette and do worldy things and when I did i was free from the cult and yes I've broken most of the rules ie things the watchtower don't agree with.

Between the 4th and 6th of october they will have the annual meeting. I guess some 'new light' will be revealed.
In the now removed issue this 'new light' is mentioned. If they publish this issue already the content will be spread like wildfire on the internet.😂
Just to make a (failed) prediction in good old JW style: something with angels and the preaching work. Even if it seems the preaching work is failing; if you look with your 'spiritual eye' you can see all the angels at work!
No need to go door to door, because the angels will lead you to a opportunity to preach.

I saw on reddit when someone posted the announcement sheet that mentioned the August Watchtower not being sent out and I honestly just thought that maybe either "New Light" would be announced or they are doing some changes that involve the whole Norway situation. IF this does involve the message of destruction....well I am just waiting to see if whatever they got to say backfires on them like the "no counting time for preaching" did.
Side note: my parent sometimes does the Zoom meet ups to write letters and the ONE TIME I happened to be at their house, the ladies over Zoom were talking about how they feel like soon they will have to preach about the message of destruction because of the current times (they mentioned the genocide in Palestine, but instead called it the "war on Israel", but they used that as an example for their thought process). But yeah, was just weird how giddy a few of them were about that, but I guess being old in that religion just makes them hope for Armageddon to come sooner so they can be young again.
They were telling me to get ready for the “condemning work” in 1968 (yes 1968), yet here we are 😂
In 1990 when I was raped by an elder my best friend also unalived herself for telling and being blamed for her rape as well. She killed herself. Can we EX jw that was sexual abused by the elders do a class action lawsuit!?
KatyGirl... this is absolutely the right time for a class action lawsuit. The way things are panning out, this organization will likely be teetering on the verge of total collapse in about 5 or 6 years.

But I remember the daily texts at least trying to sound like what actual Christian devotionals sound like in the real world. But everything about that daily text you mentioned is very much reaffirming to me that they have the "human effort brings salvation" mindset in place... The longer they exist, the more they scare me

As you said, the bible is very clear on that. You bring up the fact that the bible endorses slavery and try to suggest that it is now frowned upon, we should ditch the bible all together.
I think you are wrong because slavery was one way of earning a living in the ancient world, especially if it had not been forced on people (as was the case the transatlantic slave trade).
You don't realise that this form of slavery continues to this day where some people actually work for others! Clearly, this is the same as slavery....so the bible condoned slavery as one of the means to earn a living. Not an instrument of oppression and exploitation.
You also argue that Jesus said that divorce that is not occasioned by adultery is a sin. Apparently, you just want people to be able to part ways on all sorts of grounds that you deem serious such as abuse or life threatening. But the bible emphasizes commitment to the person you are married to until death do you part. If you want part ways, why marry in thd first place?
Yeah. Right. Encourage a small school-child to confront another child about that other child’s mother’s lifestyle. Include Paradise and Funzies with the animals then riiippppp it all away with a Bible quote from the NWT. Do you see the pressure in these cartoons to put even little children into an arena in which they’d be better off not part of? These poor kids don’t stand a chance. They’ve got years of school “territories” already mapped out for them. Innocent children.
I was a JW child and it was the worst. School was awful when I viewed it as a “personal territory”.
I don't think the daily text has anything to do with this. The daily text is taken from past Watchtowers.
If I had to guess, I would say that the GB were confidentially discussing some doctrinal change that is slated to be announced at the annual meeting in October, when the August issue of the Watchtower came to them from the writing committee for final approval. Coincidentally, the August issue touched on the very issue they were discussing changing and they realized they can't publish it as is because it would look really stupid for them to announce these changes at the same time that they would be studying the old light at the meeting. So they told the writing committee to hold up on that one until they finalize their decisions on the changes, so they can then edit the issue of the Watchtower to suit. The August Watchtower might not even give away the new change, it might just be that the subject has to be rewritten in such a way that it does not conflict with the changes to be announced or doesn't give away any of the changes to be announced.
When the August issue is finally published, the subjects inside might give an idea of what changes are coming. Pay attention to what is not said in that issue, that would normally be said about the subjects it discusses.
If they put a picture of a brother with a beard in the Watchtower is so they can control beard styles. They can point to the Watchtower photos when someone has a non-compliant beard.

Watchtower magazines remind me of Facebook posts. People who sit in a corner crying like babies ranting about their day, their negative experience with someone cuz they just want attention.
Edit: My thoughts exactly on Homosexuality and people relying so much on Bible principles especially when Jesus was around. I like to ask people, “well do you circumcise your son because the Bible says it?” “Do you rest on the Sabbath because the Bible says it?” And like you say they will mention “Ohhhh well that’s the Old Testament” and that’s when I bring up “But God doesn’t change, he all of a sudden grew a heart?”. Because of those same rules also came with slavery, and stone killing for stupid reasons, that doesn’t happen anymore. You are correct to say, if things changed then it can change now. In the end Jesus came up with two rules only, love God with whole heart soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself… LOVE

My grandparents were married in 1975, and were witnesses before that. My grandfather left the cult in ‘95 after his third child was born, my uncle, and my grandmother remained. He said they were “full of horseshit and a half”, since his wedding was literally in OCTOBER OF 1975!

The leadership has probably realised that they foisted on the rank and file two contrary doctrines they have to believe simultaneously, namely last-minute repentance is possible during the Great Tribulation and the hailstone preaching message. The leadership probably realises now that both beliefs must be reconciled because one cannot believe both doctrines at the same time. Then again, I may be wrong

They went to digital on just about everything so that they could just change it at will.
I believe this issue is related to the Annual Meeting. Typically, when there is an important announcement to be made at the Annual Meeting, it is announced first and then, months later, the study articles are released. If the articles were only related to the GB Update #2, it would be normal for them to release the articles explaining the details after the initial announcement. However, if the issue has been put on hold, it suggests that more details will be disclosed at the Annual Meeting.
They can't delay the Watchtower because it needs to be studied by the worldwide congregation simultaneously. No letters have been released yet because the elders and everyone else will receive the information at the same time. After the announcement, proper updates will be made to the elders' book.
This sounds a bit like a conspiracy, but let's wait and see.
July brochure is talked about in September-October. How weird. Was it always this behind in the past? I can't remember. 🤦♀
Not always, but for the past decade it has surely been two months (the study material has been planned to be studied in the congregation two months from the date of the magazine issue). 30 years ago it was just one month. They are also printed four months prior to the date, and released online a month after being printed.

When they made the change to speak or say hello to former jw at the meetings and the August cover shows that the couple is not to speak to a fomer member and they could be reviewing that and y'all know they will have to change their rule book and with the text you read about not talking to anyone who refuses watchtower is them saying don't go door to door because they the home owners/renters will reject you and watchtowers and they see the decline of members just like mainstream is seeing a decline of Christians who are not actively going to church because of live streaming and plus it is election season and just continue to cart witness they was recently told they can not cart witnesses in parks or playgrounds alone they have to have more than one doing cart witness in parks and playgrounds were children will be also listen to Saturday sixscreen of the watchtower they got report that watchtower planning to cut meetings in California to once a week

I think the ultimate problem of judging LGBT+ people based on what the Bible says is that what's in your religion applies to you. People who are not Christian don't care what your book says. Those are rules to _you_ not to _us_. If you don't like gay, don't do gay lol
That goes to the whole issue of what’s happening now in Louisiana. It is now required to put a copy of the Decalogue (which is representative of the entire Torah of 613 commandments) on a wall in each classroom in each public school, college and university in that state. This even though the Bible also says that the Torah (Mosaic Law) was ostensibly ended at Calvary. It’s a prime example of forcing one’s religion upon others in clear and open violation of the “establishment” clause of the First Amendment to the Federal Constitution.

@15:30 you talk about homosexuality. One thing to remember is that there are a lot of gay people who are believers. There are interpretations of the text which would surprise you. For example they claim that what is condemned is pagan orgy type behaviour. Or the “owning a boy” which was practiced. There is an entire set of writings which looks at whether the Bible condemns monogamous committed homosexual relationships. -- so no, Wally, it’s not as clear as you think.
Another point is that the reason the law is not observed today is because of Colossians 2:14-16 and Romans 14 etc. but the things that Christians still class as sinful are those things which are re-stated in the New Testament.
I was about to comment about the scholarship around this too. The levitical law seems to be explicitly about INCEST, not homosexuality at all, and the scripture from the New Testament, in Corinthians iirc, uses a Greek slang that could mean "masturbation" or just "sex" in general, which aligns pretty well with Paul being an ascetic who discouraged even marriage

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 clearly states homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Timothy 1:8-11 clearly condemns homosexuality!

This missing Watchtower was covered in spanish language RUclips channels last week and they strongly suspect there were a couple of disfellowshipping articles that created a huge "discussion" between the legal and writing departments.

Even as a JW I had reservations about the world governments turning on religion. Apart from communists I could not imagine a scenario when and where that could happen. America .? Too fundamentalist ( think of the Bible Belt) Britain.? Could not care less. The Middle East,India,Pakistani ? Utterly unthinkable etc etc It’s a wholly fantastic proposition and we are left with the question,why would the governments wish to do so anyway

Ugh a part of me whishes they would start to disfellowship unbaptised apostates (i.e. adult children of JW parents) as well. So that my abusive mom would have to shun me. That would be awesome! 😂
