I was in this cult for 36 years and I have never seen them fill boxes with food for the community that's what's in the video and it's wrong, it never happens. I've never seen them do any community service for anybody. The rules are only changing because people are looking wide open now and seeing all the disgust in this organization. I know I was there right in the middle of it.

Some congregations did food, but only for members and that was GOVERNMENT supplied food during COVID. Knew some that got nothing, and a couple that got the picked over food.
JOHN Q. PUBLIC will never see anything unless it is from an individual JW.
The Watchtower is quoted as saying "let them eat cake!". Lol, just kidding, they only help other jws, the rest of the world can go take a hike!

Just like when they ask what you do to help people when they come to your door. You mention any volunteering you might do or have done and the charities you donate to but if you ask them they can never answer with any works or gifting for the public good and will just say they do lots of volunteer work for Jehovah (as if the creator of everything needs help from a few humans building or maintaining some buildings that the watchtower will just sell on for a profit at some point) or they are out saving people by preaching their version of religion to them.
Never will they admit to any doubt either even though you slowly work them through the thought processes that show nobody can be 100% sure of anything. It’s like a reset switch just resets their brains at some point.
The closing prayers are the worst. It’s like, shut up already so we can leave.

As of today a jehova witness told me he wanted to stop talking to me.
I'm Christian and had been entertaining their meetings. During said meetings I would just ask questions about the things they were reading out of their watch tower publications. For the last month every session has been nothing but debating.
End times, deity of christ, 2 classes, salvation, finally the topic that broke him 1914.
I pressed him on that. I brought to him the archeology surrounding the destruction of Jerusalem in 587. I asked him to show me evidence why nebuchadnezzar's dream had 2 fulfilments.
He ended the session saying this will be our last meeting.
Before he left I asked him could be saved while not being part of the organization. He couldn't even answer me. He just looked like he unsure. I felt so bad for him when he walked away.
Hopefully, your questions will make him question the zany cult.
He was probably thinking for himself for the 1st time.
So glad you, as a Christian, are trying to reach this lost soul. Please do not give up! You might only be able to pray for this person from this point on, but that is most powerful! You may have put a stone in his shoe with that last comment. It might take 20 years, but God's timing is perfect. I'm sure there's people here that won't to agree with me, but this comment is not for them.
I am an exjw that became a Believer in the true Jesus. Sadly, Christians did not share the Gospel with me before that. They were very impatient with me or rude or didn't say anything or only bashed the Organization and not their false theology. Thankfully, God made a way regardless and I am so grateful to be free and a "new creation"!
PLEASE Christians, do not give up on JWs! Two books that are helpful are Reasoning from the Scriptures with Jehovah's Witnesses by Ron Rhodes and Getting Through to Jehovah's Witnesses by David Englund. I would also recommend videos by David Reed (and his book, Answering Jehovah's Witnesses Verse by Verse). He was an exJW Elder and has excellent videos on how to reach them effectively with the gospel.

Actually, Jehovah’s witnesses are still on a road. Of course, the Society claims that the road on Jehovah’s witnesses travel is the “Highway of Holiness”. However, it is abundantly clear that the “Highway of Holiness” leads nowhere but to a dead end.

Badmouthing others is a regular activity among JWS females. It is a way to compensate for not being able to have positions of authority in the organization. The more they gossip about and badmouth others, the more important they feel.
"My book of Bible stories" what a book for children 😂
I remember listening to a young child do the week's Bible Reading. This child needed a step stool, he was so small. The part he had to read was a very graphic section of a sexual nature. I sat there like 😮.
Don't forget that big orange Paradise book!!! That book still would scare me!

Lol i remember those long prayers. At our DC one year this old guy got up and went on so long we all honestly thought it was a talk and we had missed the amen. I looked up and saw everyone around me was also looking up and the same confused look. This guy, no joke, went on for like 15 minutes. To make it worse he had an extremely informal way of praying so it sounded like a very loose, extemporaneous talk. The only clue it was a prayer was every so often he'd say, "And thanks Jah...." It was the absolute worst.

They have this uncanny habit of suddenly shifting personality from Christian to wordily and back. You never know when it will happen and how long they will remain in those modes. Totally unpredictable! One moment you are dealing with a sanctimonious saint, and the other moment with Satan the Devil himself. I had one insult me as if he was looking for a fight and the next moment he was giving me a Bible study. After the Bible study, he put on boxing gloves to spar with me as if to prove something. My father saw this and asked me what kind of a minister this dude was. Another, this sister, used to boast about all the abortions she had and not regretting any of them, and then would go from house to house preaching. Beautiful!
My experience with the Jehovah's witnesses was to experience a family that failed to provide the necessities of life, force their magazines on young children then come back days later to demand payment for the magazines, disrupt a teen who was performing chores for almost an hour trying to force me to listen to her arguments about her cult.
we never ask for money . but go off.
My four wishes:
1. No more cancer (literally AND in terms of JW audio/visual cancer)
2. Paid off house in a state with no snow but also low taxes
3. Wake up my PIMI relatives

They will even baptize you into their church without informing you about disfellowshipping or shunning, just as they did with me.

I've been a christian for most of my 79 years and have noticed that the current church is caving to the current culture.. Make it more friendly!!!. Local church here in the mountains are a SEEKER SENSITIVE CHRUCH. Don't preach SIN, HELL and just power of positive thinking!! Don't bring a Bible into the church that would intimidate new visitors!!! We don't want to upset them. Disaster, To step away from the Word of God is a road to the end for the church.

When my ex husbands father killed himself around the time of COVID, no one called or anything to check and see how we were dealing with the loss. It was really traumatic since he killed himself at our house but none of the elders did a shepherding call like they were supposed to. They could have at least called.

I find it interesting that the JW's show these agressive and upsetting drawings to children. My mother went to a catholic school and she always complains about the crazy stories and pictures about bible stories and how they shouldn't show these to children.
JW's do the exact same thing.
Can confirm, had reoccuring night terrors for several years because I learned to read and write using that book starting at age 3 and by the time I was 6 i kept having nightmares about fires and bad weather (from the Lot's wife story) and being eaten alive by a great white shark (kid brain thought the whale looked close enough to Jaws). Probably was time my parent used to record as "Bible study/service" too.

When I was younger I grew up in the French Congragation. And we had a CO who would give prayers for about 10min or so. My dad who was an Elder eventually told him to keep the prayers short 😂

If you listen to the way that they speak at meetings, in recordings or conventions, they have a very controlling tone and cadence. I am 20 this year, got out at 17, my mother still is one but has been disfellowshipped so many times she doesn’t even care about going to the meetings but has been so conditioned to being with them that she can’t leave unless forced to. Sorry for the runon sentence. It sucks what these hypocritical assholes do.

I remember in the hall I grew up in, there was an elder who would have the shortest prayers and we all loved him for that lol
It happened to me and I witnessed happening to many other people. A prayer is answered by a knock at the door by JWs. "O my god I was just praying and you are at my door". But then it hit me. We where ALWAYS at their door. Working the territory over and Over. It no longer seems like a miracle now, but what we are told to do over and over "advertise, advertise, advertise..."

I was a zealous JW 35 years after baptism at 15. I started examining the doctrines and reading the Wescott and Hirt IntIerlinear(published by WT)
Their doctrine was miles out of alignment with:1. Jesus teachings to be born of the Spirit
2. Acts 2: be baptized for forgiveness of sins according to Apostle Peter
3. No divorce unless adultery! Apostle Paul said if a mate LEAVES YOU like it’s over im honing back to momma), you can divorce the 9:14 im. I saw several witness men that had never divorced the wives although they left and went back home. So according to WT these men had to stay single
Those are just a few quick examples: if you READ the Bible it’s easy to see the JEs are way out in direct conflict with Jesus ‘ command”, if you remain in my word…. You are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free

You can tell who the JWS are their smiles are forced.
Ive heard a few people say they were at home feeling low etc, and then the witnesses knocked, but all over the world there are similar coincidences, someone feeling low, depressed, having suffered loss, etc and they come across a coincidence that lifted their mood or changed their outlook on life, or prevented them going somewhere dangerous, or taking their life etc, etc, but ..what if (the universe, an entity) or, there is a God and he just manifests himself in a way that you will accept… i.e he shows himself as Jehovah or allah or some other deity or within another belief system, and there is no true finite answer as to the truth. I mean, humans are built to interpret a lot of things in different ways. I am agnostic,( brought up as a JW), but I dislike when JW’s claim to experience “unique miracles from Jehovah”, and fail to acknowledge they aren’t the first ones to experience similar things!
That’s weird because they don’t believe in miracles in our modern day.
Nobody knocked on my door and rescued me when my jw ministerial servant husband was being violent and put me in hospital, i rescued myself.

Questions to ask a jw about " what does the bible really teach"
1. Do you mean that it doesn't really teach what I believe it teaches.?
2. Do you mean that what it really teaches is not what it really teaches.?
3. Isn't it easier to say " this is what the Bible teaches", and not what other people will tell you it really teaches.?
4. Can I just read the bible and believe what it teaches.?
5. If the bible teaches what it really teaches, why do you have to teach me what it really teaches.?
6. Does it mean that, in order to understand what the Bible really teaches, that what you will teach me about the bible is what it really teaches teaches.?
8. Or is it just that it doesn't teach what it really teaches.?
