The churches of Christendom are spiritually dead and contaminated with false doctrine - the clergy are inactive and don't preach about the kingdom.

A year before my father died he started reading the bible. The scriptures were opened to him by the love of God. It was beautiful to see. My sister and her husband, both JWs, started to corrupt his understanding of what was revealed to him in Truth. I warned him against them. 🙏🏽

One thing about that last lady s experience that struck me was how she realized what she'd been taught her whole life wasn't what the Bible said. I was a pioneer who was "Serious about personal study" - you know the type, mostly because I kept trying to convince myself God really existed - and it was only after leaving that I realized what I'd been taught and what I was teaching wasn't even in the Bible

@@vusimngomezulu2500 The church is not a denomination or corporation or organization. The church is individual's, believer's in Yahwah and his son Yeshua. Individual believer's in Yahwah and his Yeshua can be found in all nations and all denominations and even a few in man-made organizations such as the Jehovah Witnesses. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 teaches that all the individuals of the church may look and behave quite differently from each other, but together through God's Spirt, they form the church. And this same verse warns about groups such as the Jehovah Witnesses who pretend like they are superior to other's outside their group who are believer's in God and his son Jesus.

@@vusimngomezulu2500 And it needs to be pointed out the name "Jehovah" is a made up name by a 12th century priest, it is most assuredly not the actual name of God, which he has told us is YHWH (believed to be pronounced Yahwah, but no one really knows for sure.) Fortunately, we don't need to know God's name, as we are his precious chlidren and he has instructed us to call him father/dad/etc. Just as it is rude for a child to call their parents by their given names, rather than their titles of dad or mom, it is rude for us to call God by his given name, as our relationship with him is to be so intimate.

I couldn't understand why Jah was given all the credit for Jesus' death until I was disfellowshipped. My JW mom behaved as if I had burdened and hurt HER by getting myself shunned. It's on brand for JWs to flip the script on victims. The organization sees the friends and family members as victims, and wrongdoers who are "disciplined" and DFed as the villians. Of course, a group that glorifies sacrificing their children will disregard Jesus' suffering and redirect praise to Yahweh, as if putting a plan into action to watch his child being tortured to death is a loving sacrifice, and not a symptom of psychopathy.
That's why christians, as well as JW's are deceived. They believe Yahweh is Jesus' father when in fact he's the devil. A true God of divine love would never approve of sacrificing their firstborn child, but Yahweh who claimed Jesus as his own firstborn, had no issue seeing him tortured by crucifixion. (That's why sin is not a thing either, because it was Yahweh who instigated this concept, giving a reason Jesus had to die, and making it seem all those animals that were cruelly sacrificed unto Yahweh served a purpose)

It'll be interesting if they rebrand. In the 70s they were calling themselves Jehovahs Christian witnesses with a lowercase w because there was another group calling themselves Jehovahs Christian Witnesses with the W. They ended up suing Watchtower and so the society had to stop identifying like that.

One thing that’s really irked me as a former JW elder who took the time to learn (& is continuing to learn) Hebrew & Greek is WT’s propensity to mix truth with falsities.
In the 2nd talk, truth: The Bible does not say exactly how many wise men came to visit Jesus. However, it’s assumed 3 b/c of Matt. 2:11 which says they bestowed 3 gifts before Jesus. So even though it’s true the Bible never referenced exactly how many came to visit, over time it was assumed each man gave one gift to Jesus, hence 3.
False: The Greek word used at Matt. 2:1 to describe these men, μάγος or magos can mean sorcerer, magician, astrologer, OR it can literally be translated as wise men. It all depends on the context and account. So is it wrong for all other Bible translations available to translate this as “wise men?” No. They were by all means considered learned men which is why they cleverly deceived Herod.
This is why it’s difficult for many not to be blinded by WT; they speak so matter of fact, pontificating as if they are learned, scholarly men. However, they leave out key details including scriptures to manipulate their audience.
If anything, it’s quite genius…tell just enough of truth to make ppl believe w/o saying the whole truth to make urself look inept.

If the JW’s are using the same word of God as the rest of the world, there is nothing they know that the rest of the world doesn’t also know. Think about it.
What about Horus who was born of a virgin and who had 12 disciples and was crucified and raised from the dead in 3 days 5000 years before Jesus. JW have rewritten the use of "Lord" into being "Jehova", but this does not work as sometimes the "Lord" is actually Jesus himself.

Interesting point locally they ban people from their heritage cooking. They discourage the cooking , sharing of any & all foods, recipes, prep etc if they were a food used for prior holidays , birthdays, weddings , Thanksgiving on & on.. The harsh aspects of the Torah can make God out to be off putting if you don't take into consideration the culture of the times. The Mosaic Law was a "step up" when compared to the surrounding cultures. (sort of like reasoning with Klingons). You can observe changes in culture as the OT progresses down through history. The NT is closer to our time and culture, thus, more relatable.

When speaking with Witnesses at a cart or at your door, ask them which is their favorite scripture where Jesus uses God’s name. They only ever come up with the incident when he quotes the greatest commandment in the law to the Pharisees, which is him quoting the law. Ask them for ANY other scripture they love where Jesus uses the name. There isn’t any.

It makes me feel like the JWs don’t even know Jesus at all and only talk about him because they kind of have to. Jesus is the main character in the Bible if they left his name out they couldn’t pretend to be Christian. Jesus is the GOAT. He cared about people. So, the last woman in this video turned to the WT to help raise her children instead of turning to their grandparents for help? That her parents would run her out of town is no worse than the shunning that the WT members put their own children through, even running their children out of their own homes when the kids are still just young baptized children or teenagers without any optional place to live.

Love the irony of criticising nativity plays for being inaccurate, whilst their own video conflates two different accounts that contract each other (Matt starting in Bethlehem with magi, murder and flight to Egypt; Luke with census trip, shepherds and angel choirs, presentation in the temple Simeon and Anna). Neither are true claims; at the time of writing it was usual for heroes to have miraculous origin stories to prefigure what they became. It was not lying, but in genre.
Yes the tradition built on the idea of 3 gifts as 3 people. but the 3 gifts were for 3 theological points. And magi = astrologers, well sort of, they were looking at the stars, but we get magic from the word magi, so more like the court seers. Wise men was to distance from the magic stuff, and kings I guess developed because big gifts and important enough to turn up at Herod's palace and get an audience with the 'king'. Other traditions gave them names and suggested they represented different cultural areas as 'nations bowing before'.
And no it didn't happen on 25th Dec, and even from the narrative the magi are up to 2 years later than the shepherds. Nativity plays also have the innkeeper saying no room but there is a stable.
