When I was pioneering, one day at lunch I asked an elder a question (I don’t remember what) and he actually said, “we don’t question mother.” 😳 I was so embarrassed. I tried to explain I wasn’t questioning, I genuinely didn’t understand. He just repeated himself. I kept that in the back of my mind and 15 years later it still sticks with me. I feel so sorry for those that truly believe “mother.”

I faded in the early 80s and remember an elder telling me that sometimes we just have to have faith instead of answers to our questions.

My mom was reading a JW pamphlet one day When I sais “Oh, more propaganda?” She disagreed of course. A couple of days later, she had looked up “propaganda” and admitted that I was right 👍🏻. Didn’t make any difference 🤷🏻♂️

Problem is, people realise that they being manipulated, but if they decide to snap out of it, they don't really have anything else to turn to anymore. I was soooo disappointed when the picture of the governing body was newly shown about 8-9 years ago and it was a sea of anglo faces. I would expect that people of.all nations would be.reflected in the leadership thats when I started questioning the validity of this organization.

Telling their people to ignore anything negative seems to work for the governing body though as if you try to tell or question any JWs at your door they have a fit and start accusing you of telling lies or bending the truth.
Even if you ask them to show where you lied they just repeat the assertion and won’t look at any evidence outside of watchtower.
The WT is their holy Grail, not the Bible.
If they really were the messengers of God's Truth, and His true religion, they
would not have any fear of being investigated. But because they refuse, they aren't.

Too true. I had a J.W. neighbour have a melt down and accuse me of listening to Satan. I told her that what I was saying was from the NT in the Bible.
This is how badly they are deceived, so I guess to them anything in the Bible that disagrees with their owner/leader the Governing Body is of Satan.
It's absolutely disgusting!
One time years ago, two J.W. ladies came to my door. The younger one stuck her foot in my door as I was trying to close the door after telling them no thank you.
The older one had to pull her away from me as there was almost a physical confrontation between us. I still can't believe how aggressive she was, how messed up is that?

I talked with one of my landlords and I pointed out a scripture that literally said "in Jerusalem" and she laughed and said that it doesn't really mean Jerusalem. Her laugh seemed to be like a snort of derision how silly I was to believe God actually meant Jerusalem.
She like many was born into this cult and it's so sad to see the high degree of deception through brainwashing/bewitching.
I keep praying for her and her family to come out because only God through the Lord Jesus Christ can overcome this type of deception.
To be honest I’ve never seen a witness “throw a fit” st the door! However, I have seen them state their belief again calmly and excuse themselves.

I had one woman "throw a fit" at my door, years ago. She stuck her foot in my door as I went to close it and was struggling with me over the door. She was younger than the other woman, the other woman had to get her to leave.
I put a note on my door after that and they never came back.
The whole concept of “humility” and “being humble” is not being allowed to question anything. If you question your faith, if you have opinions that go against the organization, you’re being haughty and proud. I’m not JW, but have friends (and their families) who left years ago. The shunning of one of those friends was painful to see and learn about from the outside.

I studied with JWs having lost my faith(brought up Catholic), I found I had issues with their bible translation it felt wrong especially John 1. Also the skewed view of Jesus seemed wrong to me. I must say the bible study even tho a lot I questionned led me to the path of researching Jesus. To do this I read all I could and found so much prove of Jesus and some biblical stories even some which would challenge JW teachings. The thing I found was I was warned so many times about only watching reading JW material, which dulled my enthusiasm tbh. If I want to know the real Jesus surely I need to discern for myself. I harbor no ill feelings towards JWs, the studies helped me find my love for the bible and for Jehovah and Jesus, this is what I needed in the first place it's more precious to me. Even with the flawed logic and translations I have found a passion, I can make my mind up without being an apostate. Another thing I found was the amount of criticism about the Catholic church, I was baptised Catholic but I lost faith and I know Catholicism isn't perfect but I have met some really good people through Church. For me I think its bad form criticising other religions, I try not to do it myself I try to be respectful on that front.
All religions are man made! I prefer spirituality!

The song at the start reminded me of telling my Christian mother in law about the somg we as children sang that was, “Dark days are here. Man lives in fear….. having no hope, blindly they grope” or whatnot. And she was appalled that children would have to sing such a scary song. It was always my favorite and I never even realized how it was adding to my childhood anxiety of the world ending.

One of them who is the plumber for the complex told me he and his brother took it and are pissed off that they listened. They both got early onset diabetes for their trouble. There are a few neighbours that thought I was crazy for being against the jabs and now they agree. Sadly some of them also have had health issues and they blame the jabs.

My friend has a friend who is a Jw. And my friend needed help. She needed someone to go to hospital with her ao she could see her dying friend, one last time. Her friend, the JW, said, "no, i have my meeting". Now a real christian would have been there for her good friend. A friend in need. A friend who would need comfort when she would be a mess after seeing her friend dying. Her friend died the next morning. I am appalled that she put her meeting with her "sisters and brothers" first. My friend has never forgiven her.😢
That is sad! Sadly those involved in this group aka cult have no idea of what it means to be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and his words.

This same illustration was used about the doctor's credentials to me once to prove that jws had the truth. However, this is all jw propaganda used to try to control its members. The Watchtower is spewing this propaganda due to their illegal and unethical csa within the organization, desperate to keep the members in. Not because they actually care, but because they are losing $$.

My question is, why does the JW faith downgrade what they consider apostate religions when they bolster such religions by selling them used Kingdom Halls to be used as apostate churches? I've seen this a multitude of times. Is it all about money?
