How nice to see Geoff again. I first met Geoff back in the late 80s, when he was at Kawasaki and I needed bikes for filming. Always helpful and a good laugh at some of the functions we attended. Nice bloke and glad to see he's still well.
Howdy from Austin Texas. That was a trip down memory lane. I lived in Winslow for 10 years, went to school there and Buckingham and Aylesbury college, so I know the A413 very well. You didn't show in the video but have had to you whiz right past my Mum's house in Buckingham on the ring road. The Bell (pub on the left corner before the market) in Winslow has good pub grub and I think Sunday lunches. I do highly recommend The Old Thatched Inn at Adstock more though for a Sunday pub lunch date with Mrs Flyer, call to book as it gets busy. Great vid as always. Stay well chap!
I found it very helpful to see a Google map image of where you started your journey and the destination. I’m more of a Kent, Surrey and Sussex rider so good to see other routes. Another location a bit further south for you Andy but I think you would all like Newlands Corner just east of Guildford, an outdoor cafe with amazing views and lots of bikes albeit the weekends. Thanks for the videos, always enjoyable.
That Z650RS looks the business with it's retro good looks, when I was an apprentice back in 1977 I always envied the guys with their KH250's and their super cool colour schemes, this bike brings back those envious feelings 😯. Would be great if you good get hold of one and give us a review.
I loved the fact that it doesn’t have a duck tail. Hate that idea. Would have been even nicer in upside down forks though. Don’t tell me it’s built to a budget. If the Chinese can do it…
Came out at the same time as an Itchy Boots finding some “lost city” in Central America but went for the Missenden Flyer’s “Super Sausage” episode! City has been lost for a while so its rediscovery can wait. Loved the meet up with mates but missed the chatter……
Some dark clouds early on but blue skies won through. That multistrada sounds great. Two friendly faces to greet you even though you were late! I had to get my daughter in the UK to explain scran to me . Got it then. Had a versys 650, great bike. Happy stPatricks day to you all.
Greetings from Colorado. The Boat Inn in Thrupp right next to Oxford Canal for your sausages and chips, then, a short walk away, is Annie’s Tea Rooms for great baked goods! Splendid location not far from Oxford. Thanks for the videos, Andy. Look forward to every one. Take care.
Agree with comments from the team about food quality…but….absolutely agree with remarks about how loud the music is in The Sausage. I was in there a couple of weeks ago with some friends and we tried a couple of tables to avoid it without luck……great cafe but please….lower the volume of the music!
Good to see Geoff and Dan again! My suggestion for a Scran meet up within your defined distance is Reg’s Cafe, Thorpe Way, Banbury..top nosh at very fair prices! Try to be on time please TMF..😉😂
Hi Andy……Haven’t read all previous comments, so apologies if this has already been mentioned……..can thoroughly recommend GILKS’ GARAGE CAFE , Banbury Rd, Kineton, Warwickshire CV35 0JZ. Fab food, really friendly staff, biker friendly. Located in a former family run garage. A bit of memorabilia assoc with a 1950’s garage. Well worth a visit. 👍
The super sausage looks like a great place for a bit of grub. Sausages and helmets would be a great name for a cafe also hahahaha 😆. Top lads Geoff and Dan 🙂
Super Sausage full English breakfast is definitely recommended. I can only manage the small version as of the large would put me into a cholesterol coma. Had to chuckle at the "missing" number plate moment. Top work.👍
If you are looking to do a Warwickshire meet, touchdown cafe at Wellesbourne airfield is a good bet. There is also the vulcan preservation on the airfield so a good photo opportunity and walk round. Last time we had a sit inside the vulcan knowlegable volunteers. Another great video thanks
Another great vid. The Z650RS is a beauty (except for that radiator). Very impressed with the sound it makes too. The cafe looks great, but a bit of a trek from Yorkshire. Maybe in summer. I now have 'Sausage Fest' in my browser history, thank you very much!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Andy, It’s a long time ago, but I don’t remember the car park being that big or there being Armco barriers in the car park, the inside certainly looks like it’s recently been spruced up, but I think it’s essentially the same place, good basic food at reasonable prices.
Yep, we all like going to the SSC. It's a nice ride out the like you said the food and atmosphere is really great. There are two places you could try in the Oxford area, the H-Cafe ( A Biker Café) and The Wandering Kitchen at the wet n wild water ski centre, both quite close to each other off the A4074. There's also a nice garden centre a bit further on called Notcutts Oxford just again just off the A4074.

You will find its limits, if you 'really' push on, but generally, great bike, commuting, touring and hooning around the A/B roads!! Bit surprised at the Ducati, the muck on the number plate?! That would definately cause a few issues with the local constabulary, especially here in Wales.
It’s the best food for miles around that area, the full Monty is a beast of a meal , not cheap , I think it’s £14.99 but superb, I haven’t totally finished one yet lol
Looking forward to getting out more in the bike with the better weather but not looking forward to the cost of these leisurely rides with the cost in fuel now.
Great trip. This might be too far for old guys but if you haven't been there yet how about going to the famous Ace Cafe. Lots of moto history from the 50s and 60s and the food looks good too.
That 413 is a nice road. Cracking grub there always and yes the music can be overpowering sometimes! I did like the look and sound of that Z650, the rad is a necessary evil though. As for the state of the Ducati!!! I've only got a bike that dirty on one ride after 100+ miles in weather far worse than you were riding in. But then again you do like cleaning...... Risk of RSI though...... I can recommend the Cotswold Diner A436 Chatcombe It's 39 miles from Headington and a good excuse to take the long way back via Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Chipping Norton across to Deddington and Buckingham. Then the A413 again!

That Multi really looks like it falls into “the only bike you’ll need” category. I’d love one, sadly with fuel at £8 a gallon and the bike costing £22k+ I’m not going to find out. Great video. I could of course become a vlogger, develop some style and charisma, spend 1000’s of hours building a channel to the point where manufacturers lend me bikes… or maybe not.
@@Sam_Holt What sort of fuel consumption are you getting. My crappy Clio returns about 50 mpg, my Ducati Supersport and Triumph Speed Triple about 45, but my Tuono V4 only used to manage 30. In reality I wouldn’t let fuel consumption put me off having a V4 Multi. Hopefully in another couple of years the world might be more sane (or melted), at the moment used prices are very strong.

It’s always an option - works for me!
I ride my multistrada BECAUSE fuel has gone up so much - now my car spends its whole life on my driveway
Very Enjoyable video and at 12.50, its so nice to hear the word kawaSaki on youtube, somehow KawaZaki has appeared not to mention kawazarki haha.
Great fun !
I enjoyed the inside info on the Kawasakis too .
Peace and love brother(s) 👍🏻☮❤
Glad you enjoyed it
I like the Z650 it takes me back to when they first came out just like the Z1000
