Three 10’s. Now they will be on the biker map big time! Great banter boys as usual.
Yes it deserves to be - great value good food and friendly people!
always love the biker scran episodes, especially when the guys give high scores! Great chat, great foods, and great bikes!
Glad you enjoyed it
The Cotswolds have some great roads/rides, please just keep them coming!!
Awesome.Really enjoyed this.Just 3 mates out on their Bikes.Good company and good food.Thats what biking is all about.Much Love from sunny South Africa.👍👌🏍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great to see everyone so happy. You can't beat a nice bike ride with friends to a top cafe!
Couldn't agree more!
Hey TMF, Geoff and Dan.
Thanks for these series of Biker Scran with Geoff and Dan! I RELLY LOVE them. You guys is making my day so much, it should be a TV serie called Biker Scran with Geoff and Dan! it really should i mean it guys.
If i was a millionaire, i would definitely make it a TV serie.
Thanks so much for giving us bikers from Denmark this possibility to have a laugh and a smile you showing your famous serie Biker Scran with Geoff and Dan!
Yours sincerely
The Dane.
That’s very kind of you and delighted to hear you enjoyed our trip!
Totally agree with Geoff - Brown sauce on Bacon and Ketchup on Fish Fingers - and I’m from the South! I’m now anticipating a future visit to sample Pat’s Baps (well, at least one of them😂).
Wrong - got to be ketchup on Bacon, have you no scruples sir!
Love this format, and this episode. It really reflects what a lot of us do, (particularly those of us with more time on our hands). Keep up the good work Andy 👍🏍️
Awesome, thank you!
Yes Andy the grab rail is integral to the retro look, especially for us duffers harking back to the original. Lovely content 👍
But you’d have to install extra driveline slop and a scary 110mph speed wobble to equal the original Z1, in my experience. 😊
@@PhilC184 at least you would risk 110 mph then, unless there was a jam sandwich knocking around haha.
Completely agree with Geoff, fitting the oem chrome grab rail is a must, plus a S.W.Motech tail pack as you mate Richy uses - job done! 👍
Does Richy have one of those? WIll speak to him about it....
*Grab rail helps to maneuver and spin the bike on its kickstand in tight spaces.* And Dunlop Mutant tires for all seasons.
What a hoot! The witty banter between you and the boys is great fun! Wife and I will soon be traveling from Canada to the UK for a vacation. With such glowing reviews we'll definitely stop to meet Pat and have a Bap when we're in the Cotswolds. Thanks Andy.
Tell her we sent you.....
Drove down from St Helens (OK, I had to that way for work) and called in for breakfast, excellent food and service, well recommended.
There's nothing like a bit of healthy eating! And, that was nothing like a bit of healthy eating! 🤣.
Just remember, %100 of people that eat food die! So, enjoy yourselves 😀🍔.
Very good point that....
I was stationed in Spain and loved following my biker friends to various cafes around Andalucia. Now I'm riding myself, but in the States and wished we had little cafes like this around here. Thanks for the fun adventures. They bring back fond memories of my time in Europe. Cheers.
That's awesome!
Many times I have stumbled across a great mom & pop cafe or vintage roadside motel on the back roads here in the states. They are true gems, but getting harder and harder to find. Sadly!
That was a very enjoyable thirty minutes and the bond of friendship between the three of you is heartwarming. And just to add to what so many have already said, get that chrome grab rail forthwith!!
The pressure is mounting - I may have to do it!!
Nice Baps! Picking up the classic on Saturday, bet you it will pour down! Still has the fully enclosed mud guards at least. The fitting of the shorter guards is more for aesthetics these days. 😊
Hello. Nice meeting...with some brainstorming......and good gas talking. I like this style of video. And your bike is stunning 😉- I like it. Have some fun and good weather😶🌫. Some regards from germany.
Danke!
Thank you too.....Vielen Dank ;-)@@TheMissendenFlyer
I am amazed that people worry so much about the running in/ oil change/ mileage thing. Tbh I don’t believe the whole running in thing is quite as important as people say. Let’s face it, hardly any motor bikes actually ever reach their potential life span mileage. I doubt your Kawasaki ever even hits 20,000 miles in its whole life. Meaning that the running in was practically pointless.
Yes fair point…..
Brilliant! Really enjoyed your spin guy's! your baps looked great, including the chocolate e Clair, as the fella said / I would rather die from cholesterol than starvation. From a 72 year old RS 900 rider .
Lots of riders remove their fenders because they think it looks good. Thus making their bikes shit for any kind of inclement weather, and I assume they all have a wide brown stripe of road filth up their backs when they arrive.
Was only at Cotswold Cafe the other week on the Tiger to meet up with Mike after a very long time. Tried the healthy option with Vega Sausage - surprisingly very good
Top banter there gentlemen! Dan’s shenanigans of “I’ve been waiting at another location…” Doesn’t wash with me😂
Nor us….
😂
true it don't. wash with me.ether iff agreed on.the square on the square it is and for him to he waiting round corner what a twat
If you are worried about going over the 600 miles just change the oil and filter, that's the main thing they do anyway.
Yes fair point!
I wouldn't be worried about going over fist service miles with modern oils and manufacturing. It's more a case, as TMF questioned, of manufacturers honouring the warranty if you do go over. I did 80 miles past my first service mileage but they won't tell you what extra mileage is acceptable until you need to make a warranty claim sadly.
These scrans are so fun - the banter, the camaraderie, the motorbikes. This is what it is all about.
Great to hear that!
Well said, I completely agree. 👍🏼
You almost had me buy a Tiger 800 in your Krabi trip. Now you're riding the bike I just bought. Clearly a man with good taste. I'm subscribing!
Welcome along!
I am not good as leaving comments but I have to write few words as I really enjoyed this video.
Thank you guys for this nice and funny moment between friends. I love your so British accent and your sense of humour.
Love the Z900RS I tried one in Bordeaux last week and I am thinking to buy it but not easy to leave my R1200GS, my garage is too small to keep 2 bikes.
It’s a ten for me too ! Cheers from France 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Patrice!
Why do manufacturers not put proper mud guards on their bikes. The original Z1 had a decent mudguard. Fashion over form. Great bike though.
I have the RS cafe and it's the most comfortable bike I have owned, fantastic engine, great torque for four cylinder bike. Loves to be riden
That tweed mill is a very unique looking place. "Butter on your baps" sounds naughty to an American ear ( maybe just my mind, sorry heh) as I've no idea what a bap is. Turns out the eclair was the naughty bit. Cheers to Pat, by the way. Those servings would be normal in the US- huge servings. Looking forward to the part 2 of this ride. Thanks for taking us along Andy.
A "Bap" is a regional name for a bread roll - but can sometimes also mean lady mountains, hence the sniggering....
@@TheMissendenFlyer lol, Got it. 😆 Thanks Andy. Cheers.
Heavens l couldn’t believe the state the roads are in, especially at 0.43 bloody great holes full of water….how did this happen. Your A roads are like the agricultural service roads here in Spain….roads l avoid like the plague. It’s over twenty years since a rode British roads….they look awful, not to mention dangerous to Bikers…
Yep - not a patch on those lovely Spanish roads....
Thanks Andy for putting a huge grin on my face, loved that, your obvious delight at meeting the chaps shone through and you bounce of each other superbly, i think i giggled most of the way through that, now to the elephant in the room or the can of worms i'm siding with Geoff being a northern lad myself it's brown for me to. :)
Don't start Chris - this one isn't up for debate.....
🤣🤣🤐@@TheMissendenFlyer
Ketchup on bacon, brown on sausage
Dead right - good man.....
@@TheMissendenFlyer I'll concede the point as I like both sauces ....... But was that a bap or a barm 🤣🤣
Another great biker scran, I love how you all interact with each other, it makes great entertainment. The bike looks great too. 👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you Mr. Flyer, Geoff and Dan. A good day out was had by all and what a lovely biker friendly cafe. Living the life eh? I can hardly wait for the next episode. :>)
Delighted to hear that - stay tuned!
Never laughed so much.
just love the bikers scran videos
Glad to hear that
Geoff definitely said “Eet smakelijk”. Where was the mayonaise on his chips?
He did - Dutch I believe, not a Belgian….
Sorry, Andy ... A bacon sarnie has to have brown sauce. This is the law!
Wrong!
Love it boys! Cheers mate!
It's brown on everything I'm from Manchester
Well that explains everything! 😜
Great stuff, you lot! Love the biker scran vids - I took my mate to Super Sausage after your glowing report from there - we had the best breakfast ever! This place is now well and truly on my list.
Good ride out to Pat's too....
@@TheMissendenFlyer noted!
The title of this made me laugh somewhat. Back in the day I used to date a girl named Pat who had a fabulous set of baps 😊
Happy memories eh?
As we all know....bacon
ed.....sausage\brown.....fish fingers \salad cream .......bunch of heathens in the Cotswolds🏍️💨💨💨😸👍
Watching these really makes me want to come out that way for some rides. Fantastic scenery!
I think the two best retro style bikes are the Z900RS and the Triumph Thruxton. I think if I had not already bought a Thruxton I would have gone for one of these. Enjoy the ride.
I've had Thruxton R for 7 years and added a 2024 Z900RS SE Yellow ball. Very different motors and ergonomics so they are different enough to share my garage.
Watched your review yesterday and took interceptor and the Mrs out on her bike for a spot of lunch at Pats baps, nice little run from Bristol, had a very nice sausage and egg bap! Thanks for the revue
Did you mention the video??
@@TheMissendenFlyer yes they were very appreciative of the good review, there was also a guy from Bromsgrove on a GS, who also watched your review that morning and thought, I’ll pop along for lunch.
It's 10 out of 10 from me, I'm now flipping hungry. Nice one chaps.👍😆
Thanks for watching Terry!
@@TheMissendenFlyer oh yes, it's brown for me. 👍
Wrong!
That Z900RS is one of my favourite bikes of modern times. I was able to sit on one at the local dealer and it felt as good as it looks -- much more natural than the Triumph Bonnevilles, which I do quite like still.
Totally agree! But then I'm biased....
The Bonnevilles do a better job hiding the radiator.
Like the Z900RS but I'm going for a Speed Twin 1200.😊
Thanks for another excellent video Andy 👍🏻 I always love catching up with you, Jeff and Dan 😁
Glad you enjoyed it
What a lovely looking bap,I’m with Geoff and Dan on the Black pudding and egg,it looked superb, great video and banter, quality stuff.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Barry!
Great episode. I'm a big fan of the Biker Scran series. Cheers!
Delighted to hear that!
I have some SW-Mototech bags on my old s1000rr, very good! Filled them with pasties if you remember 😄👍
How could I forget....ah pasties, could murder one of those right now....
A thoroughly entertaining video. 28 minutes with a smile on my face. Made my day.
Really pleased to hear that!
Mine too! Amazing guys!
Brown sauce is definitely the only way to go on a bacon roll/sandwich and even baps 😂
Wrong!
👍 Thumbs up Guys. Great viewing. Cor blimey black pudding. Mmmmmmm nice.
Love the “Eet smakelijk” from Jeff, approved by a Dutchman. You should extend this series abroad, so many nice biker places to be found.
Who knew Geoff could speak Dutch!
I did! Een kleine betje!
Dan was with Carmen Sandiego. She and Waldo.
I was riding down a busy street in Glasgow last week. Plenty of Bikes parked up on both sides of the Street but the one that caught my eye was the Kawasaki Z900 RS SE in Bumblebee colour. 🐝
It’s a Stunning machine!
Nice one!
Another great video
you have me salivating all the way over here on the West Coast of Florida
the black pudding looked delicious
so many of us wish we had been there with you
three wonderful chaps
a great meal
and the perfect documentation for all of us to enjoy
thank you very much
the very best to all of you
What a lovely comment - thank you!
Brown sauce all the way!!
Wrong
For minimalist pannier carriers and bags, check out the Hepco & Becker C-bow carriers and Royster Saddle Bag Set. Extremely subtle racks.
Thanks for that view of the mill, a reminder of how great our country was.Even industrial architecture was attractive!
Yes they don't build 'em like that anymore do they! As ir happens I was in the Cotswolds yesterday and noticed that mill is posh apartments now, some of which are for sale!
Do Americans buy this bike ? Lol. No offense but woukd love to see this bike running say the dragon's tail. .
Brown
wrong!
Fantastic! an age old hunter-gatherer ritual - you hunted, you gathered. Marvellous. Scran looked excellent. And the cups of tea looked good too, just that right shade of VSOP. Looked like they don't hit the sides. There is a dawn after all ...
As I live just a few miles from Pats Baps I popped along yesterday for their monthly Sunday biker breakfast. Lovely staff. Great food, fairly priced. Brilliant.
I hope you told them you saw them on here? (I'm angling for a free bap next time I go).....
@@TheMissendenFlyercertainly did. They were very humbled by your video. I've been back a few times since. Great place for a tea and a bacon and egg nap.
@@PDCRed Cool!
What a cracking video the chap with the Triumph has given me inspiration to get a bike I'm 63 now and that fella is living the life😂😂👍👍😊
Never too late (that's Geoff by the way)....
I'm getting Z900RS SE envy 😀. We've also had a fairly cool wet summer in Ontario this year - weird given the forest fires we are having further north. The first service is basically just an oil change which you can easily do yourself or buy the oil and filter and get a local Indy to do it - the oil they use for running in is thinner than the regular oil.
Lovely bike. I bought one too. :) Vic Australia .I haven't managed any wet weather yet even in Tasmania . Brilliant weather here in Aus at the mo .
Great spot! You should be able to hear my stomach growling over the ether! About luggage. That SW Motec seat bag Richie uses has really caught my eye. Low profile and inconspicuous. May have to pick one up.
I heard you saying you were not going to remap it.
I also heard if folks do remap the Z900 RS (and SE), you void your warranty.
Looking at that back seat, I'm thinking you need to revert back to the original stubby tail mud guard instead of the tail tidy. Mrs 'Flyer may convince you of that after the first two-up wet ride!
She won't go on the back of anything without a top box - this is strictly a solo machine for me....
Hi tell your mate Geoff to go to evotech, I've got a Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer I had problems with vibration on the bars to I solved it by getting some heavier bar end weights from evotech.
ha ha . bloody good scran.. And it was Lavazza real Italian bean coffee. I have to do London soon to pick up my wife from Victoria station after her annual visit to the mother in law in Poland . I have just programed the sat nav.. Pats Baps is plugged in.. going sausage and bacon, chips coffee and an éclair . I love the kwaka but the triumph speed twin just edges it into second place for me .. yup the gold is the way to go. :) loving this scran series , brings the vlog into a real world feeling. 🤓💯❤🩹
Hi TMF, put a good ceramic coating that would make it very easy to clean, have got it on all of my bikes.
There's nothing better for the spirit than a decent ride out and a bite to eat with some old pals. I had a chuckle at you fretting about the crud on the new bike. I rode my girl home from the dealership when I collected her, the weather was so bad I actually bought waterproofs from them! The sales guy asked me where my trailer was, when I told him that I had been waiting 6 months for this, he was shocked that I would dare ride it in a storm 😁
I would just change the oil and filter myself...eff the lame dealership...they didn't have a problem selling you the bike, so they should make room for the first service if they are worth anything
I'd avoid going too far over the 600 miles. A friend got a badly damaged engine and Blade Motorcycles won't fix it on the warranty as he was late with the first service. They've had the bike for months as they all work through discussion/blame.
I think it's a risk.
Yes as it happens I cancelled my planned long trip and got the bike in at 620 miles....
I think the issue may be with the manufacturers. In this case I think the dealer goes off to Yamaha and they basically say they won't reimburse the dealer.
Hey i cannot have a powerful motorcycle, my driveway is full of stones, plus the cost of running a big bike just to go around the block lol.
Get a suspension guy to set up the bike to your bike to you and you won't believe the difference 😉
Another great video mate, but it’s time you toughen up again. Bikes were intended to get dirty stop whining about abit of rain and crud off the road it’s all part of the life new or old bike 😂💪🏽. Keep up the good work mate ✅
I have the same model same year , lookimg forward to the pannier soft recommendation.
Wish i wrapped the tank the gloss black tank gets hazing very easily , and easy to get fine scraches , not sure what a ceramic coating will do.
But advice get the tank wrapped asap.
you just cant put panniers on an RS... ruin the look for sure, you can get some great motorbike oriented backpacks, never leave home without one, a few tools, a flask of coffee, etc.
I have the sw motech legend gear on my xsr700. Good quality and mount is sold. The blaze are good if dont want the mounts showing too much
Meal and place looked great. Not many 10 of 10's. Good fortune there. Safe rides. Head to the Garden Party.
Thanks for the ride and the visit!😊 don't know what black pudding and baps is 😅
Top 10 guys went to the Cotswolds couple of years ago great place your Kawasaki is great mulling our that or a Thruxton rs.🤔
I miss Last of the Sumner Wine, but this makes up for it 😂. Will have to check out the Cotswold Cafe now.
Was on the Cots just a couple of months ago. Fantastic area that we’ll worth one’s time to throughly investigate. Clarkson’s Farm and market are a great stop along the way!
When you have your trip to you garden centre at Clevedon , you could do worse than pop into one of our favourite cafe runs, Mrs g’s at chipping sodbury👍
Looks like a great place to have a great meal. But I am very disappointed in you are your fellow friends, You could have taken the your cups and plates back in, tut tut tut!
Sorry!!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer you are forgiven...... lol. I am sure they will be well pleased with the 3x10 score, and all the bikers who now want to a taste of Pat's Baps! And could you add What3words to this place, so we can all find it, that would be great.......... Thanks
I'll nip staright back now and get the what 3 words string......
@@TheMissendenFlyer Good lad. I knew I could rely on you, Though I would just look at the map on my computer thingy!
You missed out on one of oxons short but great little roads from Stanton st john to Woodstock( if you get a clear run, now only 50mph but still)
Apologies to Geoff for the miss spelling of his name
I'm sure he can handle it.....
Id screw on the fender extender the sticky pads tend to fall off.
We have big baps in Mansfield. It’s not as good as pats 😊
Brown sauce on bacon and sausages but red on eggs 🤗. But what to do if you have a sausage and egg bap 😳. It’s a hard life being a biker 🤭
Don’t understand why the bike doesn’t come with fender extenders. Clearly needs them
Don't stick panniers on a Zed, that's sacrilege unless your camping
You should go to The Old Prison in the Cotswold, you can put the others in the cells and hold court in the original courthouse.
I enjoy these very much as I am always looking for somewhere new to ride out to, please can you include the postcode of these cards in the reviews at the end.
Well sir you’re a lot Braver than me my bike only comes out when it o% chance of rain and yes I do love polishing my ride
Brilliant day out Andy, Geoff and Dan. It’s pi***ng down here in Ireland so no biking today for me but I feel as though I’ve just out for a spin after watching this. Thanks boys and 10 out of 10 for this video too!
Thank you Dave - a beautiful riding day here in Blighty, just been out with Carole and she had a go riding the Speedmaster (don't tell Triumph!!)
@@TheMissendenFlyer 😍🤫🏍
I can think of a fab place near Clevedon…no hints though 🤣🤣
Wish I could have been there, the area and riding looked great along with some good food.
