Allen is a super talented fabricator, mechanic, innovator etc..WTF makes him a so called "National Treasure"? That has to be the most overused cliche on the internet along with "underrated"
What nation is he a treasure of? Did he prevent a World War, cure cancer? STFU. He builds cool motorcycles.

Congratulations Allen & Henry. Huge respect to you both for having the confidence and courage to even consider attempting your land speed record.
Your skills and attitude are second to none. I'm relived you were able to achieve the record safely because while I'm sure your V10 motorcycle had more to give, I'm pleased you and Henry are safe because at those speeds small factors have big influences and things can go very wrong very quickly,
For example, while you balanced the wheel and tyre combination very accurately, matching the wheel and the tyre for radial force variation, is equally important at those speeds, but as this can be done on the same jig with a dial gauge using the uniformity method, I would imagine you previolsly counter matched the wheel and tyre ?
I worked in R&D for JCB and in 1987 built the first prototype of one of their unique machines, and like to “tinker with bikes and other projects myself” so I really do understand as well as most just what its like to stare at a part and think I wonder if there is better way to install it, and also for it not to clash with other parts. Not easy
As so many others have said you’re an incredibly inspiring engineer and we can only marvel not only at the attention to detail on everything you have built, but the brilliant video compiling too, 😀as so many have commented your workmanship and filming are a masterclass. Thanks for posting on here for us all to share. Can’t wait to see your next project ! Maybe an electric or jet powered bike !

Wow that centre stand makes light work. If you built that it would be useful video. If you designed it, it should be patented as sure a lot of mainstream manufacturers could incorporate this. Excellent work and vids as always

Patents are expensive to maintain and manufacturers always have expensive lawyers making legal workarounds.
Norman Hossack developed a no dive (hub centre steered) front suspension. It was easily made with minimal precision but tuneable for accuracy. Nobody wanted to know (it’s different and bikers don’t like “different”). BMW simply waited for the patent to run out and copied the idea (used on some K bikes). Theirs is heavy and expensive and of course Norman never saw a penny.

@@Dave5843-d9m Indeed, apply for a patent and getting it granted is the "easy" and " cheap" part. Enforcing it is where the little man has no chance, good luck suing corporates for infringing your patent.

    Awesome!!! Well done guys!!
Loving the videos of how things are made. Some of it looks simple - but that's the beauty of fantastic engineering and years of experience combined with meticulous attention to detail!

Allan you are a true gentleman and genius. Please don't stop doing what you do. And you really do deserve the record. I hope that you are able to keep it for years but have no doubt that you will claim it back should it ever be beaten. Keep up the great work you truly deserve the record and a pat on the back for Henry. 👍👍👍👍
