I can see how such a mild mannered, and fastidious guy can be brilliant engineer, but not quite how they can also be such a hard-core speed nut.😮 Glad you're around Allen, and YT allows you to share your genius and passions with us. Thanks!
The best thing I’ve watched for a long time. Just engineering brilliance with a mix of humility. No tee shirts, no yee haa!, no give aways. Congratulations on the records. Just getting into the power band at the checkered flag 😂
How can someone so mild mannered and softly spoken have designed such a beast of a bike?? It's always the quiet ones 😉 Don't ever stop Alan, you bloody legend!!!
Congratulations Allen & Henry. Love and respect to you both. I was moved to tears by your land speed record video. Your're an incredibly inspiring engineer and motorcycle enthusiast. Your skills and attitude are second to none. I'm pleased you were able to achieve the record safely because I'm sure your V10 motorcycle had more to give. It was brave of Henry and the trust he has in you. It's your patience, attitude and friendship with Henry that makes the land speed record most rewarding. You deserve every success Allen. You've created some fantastic motorcycles and your videoes are compelling to watch because of your ingenuity ,care and attention to detail. I'm pleased for both you and Henry. Regards Gary.
What exactly is it you "respect" about Henry?.. He's is and always has been a Lazy silverspooned Grifter ...He one of those guy who stands looking at a bike until someone comes along, then asks where the oil goes ?.. Then let's them put it in to save getting his hands dirty !!!
Absolutely BRILLIANT! As a retired motorcycle mechanic/rider & commercial photographer I want to commend you on the technical skills and care applied to the magnificent machine you created and brought to life as well as the very professional video documenting your painstaking efforts and success! Warm & sincere congratulations from across the pond!
Excellent video Sir. As a person who has worked in broadcasting I can’t believe how smooth the shots transition, camera position, and recording been done. Always pleasure to watching your master class video.
Listening to and watching Allen work on his bikes is always like a meditation. Then there is the juxtaposition of Allen squeezing the berries out of that V10 at Elvington. I swore in amazement. You both have bigger testicles than me! Congrats on the records.
My dad had a little motorcycle shop in the 50's - 60's with a workshop in our backyard....he, as I, would be absolutely in awe of your skills....absolutely a British icon 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Have never met anyone who is into motorbikes who don't think Henry cole a complete knob! He is no real motorcyclist! All me mates find him terribly annoying and boring with his monotonic voice. Saw him at a bike show last year, no one wanted to talk to him!
Can anything be more amazing than what you have achieved Allen!!! Actually there is one thing... YOU!! You will never ever be beaten for the most humble genius ever to live. God Bless You 💙
Congratulations Allen & Henry. Huge respect to you both for having the confidence and courage to even consider attempting your land speed record. Your skills and attitude are second to none. I'm relived you were able to achieve the record safely because while I'm sure your V10 motorcycle had more to give, I'm pleased you and Henry are safe because at those speeds small factors have big influences and things can go very wrong very quickly, For example, while you balanced the wheel and tyre combination very accurately, matching the wheel and the tyre for radial force variation, is equally important at those speeds, but as this can be done on the same jig with a dial gauge using the uniformity method, I would imagine you previolsly counter matched the wheel and tyre ? I worked in R&D for JCB and in 1987 built the first prototype of one of their unique machines, and like to “tinker with bikes and other projects myself” so I really do understand as well as most just what its like to stare at a part and think I wonder if there is better way to install it, and also for it not to clash with other parts. Not easy As so many others have said you’re an incredibly inspiring engineer and we can only marvel not only at the attention to detail on everything you have built, but the brilliant video compiling too, 😀as so many have commented your workmanship and filming are a masterclass. Thanks for posting on here for us all to share. Can’t wait to see your next project ! Maybe an electric or jet powered bike !
