When Whatsapp stops supporting WinMo I´ll simply tell everyone I´m using Telegram and dump Whatsapp if it stops working. No way I´m leaving my beloved L950XL that even works as a light PC. I know the P30 Pro does something similar, but it works with lots of bugs and always wired. L950XL works even wireless. Oh, and I got spare batteries, I can go from 0 to 100% in matter of seconds, not even the OnePlus 7 Pro with it´s Warp charge can get close to that. I have a 256 GB SD Card, Dual SIM, and a smooth performance overall. It´s simply the best device, even four years later.
U can make it live after supprot too with the Windows on Arm WoA ..installing arm64 windows in Lumia 950 and 950 xl and it's made a huge progress lately ..github.com/WOA-Project/MSM8994-8992-NT-ARM64-Drivers

I've thinking abt this tonight, looks like every phone now have gaming series like laptops, it should be great chance for nokia and microsoft to take the crown back. and office apps on android didn't sync better. nokia have knowing as strong battery phone, and microsoft has windows the most used OS for PC. it would be great for gaming phone!

For me, I'd buy the P30 Pro if I want camera versatility. If I live my life in RAW, I definitely take the 9 PureView. But if I want to have a great JPG shot for my occasional Instagram feed, I'll use the Lumia 950 XL. Sorry, but the P30 Pro's software oversharpening is a total turn off for me.
I sold my l950xl 3 years ago, it was so hard to sell that piece of hw, but the apps support was terrible... look at the pics, good noise and no watercolor on 100% crop, i prefer good noise, i think: the lens, the camera software and OIS was amazing. It was a tiny 1/2.4" sensor... i can't imagine the quality with a bigger sensor if the project lumia wasn't been let die
Meanwhile, I recently got myself a Lumia 950 to replace my dead screen yet still alive Lumia 950 XL. Really impressed with the whole phone and of course the camera. No problem with app gap for me as I have all the essential daily drive app that I need.
I dont see the point in using that high ISO for 9PV. Clearly isn't a point and shoot camera, play with the pro settings and you'll get awesome results. Most of my photos are taken with ISO100 or 400, 1600 at max, even if the raw seems to be completely dark, a little touch of Adobe CC and boom, back to the game. Anyway, still disappointed on 9PV camera, as I say in the nokia forums and reddit, the lack of manual focus and night mode is killing one of the best cameras (if not the best)
that the 950 only need so a short shutter speed and so a low iso value, how was that possible? only with a bigger lens? a bigger sensor had the latest huawei smartphones too. why no company make today so a camera in his smartphone? And with a monochrom sensor as a second camera, you can save a 2x zoom camera in it. i think today all smartphones have a much more complex software than 2015 and a better ISP and sensor, but why they are not realy better?
I agree! Lumia 950 is the best phone ever!!! I use an old samsung for whatsapp and facebook apps but my Lumia is nr 1. So very sad that they discontinued lumias. I don't know how I'm suppose to "upgrade" now. 😐 I'm at a fork in the road now. Been using lumias the last 8+ years and I hate android! 😭
True! I had to let go of my L950XL because of battery and app issues. Still the best camera phone for me. I bought a really cheap iPhone SE from Amazon for the meantime. To be honest, iOS and Android are boring compared to the live tiles of Windows mobile. I'm waiting for the the successor of the Nokia 9. I hope its camera will be as good as the L950's. If not, maybe the Emperion Windows phone would be nice.

Lumia has beautiful vibrant colours with great quality!! I also find the lumia much easier and faster to use than android. (and the lumia is a 2015 phone... 🤔) I still miss my lumia and would go back any time if they go back to working normal (with apps that is) But I guess that's life... Best all arounder? Try to capture moving object or shoot in low light automatic mode with the Lumia. Not possible. You always forget to mention the comparsion based on still object and the Nokias only capable do good in this situation. Both of them fails out of the box in point and shoot style photographing, especiall shooting people.

Those high ISO count might be because the photo was taken in full Auto JPEG.
