Nokia still the best. I don't understand why everyone says that the Huawei is better? Well... If you want to take spontaneous pictures then yes, it is better. But Nokia will always take better pictures. You only have to a bit patient. It is not that hard. And the result will be mind-blowing. #nokia9pureview #itdidnotbeatnokia
Maybe Nokia would get better reviews, if they added a selector to adjust the amount of dynamic range in jpeg shots. Like you can use a slider to adjust the ev, before a shot. That way people not shooting raws, would also have the benefit of the multiple sensors.
Nokia processes several photos together to make a new photo and you call that raw photos???? How could you call a processed photo 'raw photos', it just like the night mode(taking several photos to bring more details to one) with different kind of algorithm.
I own a Nokia 9 ( I actually post RAWs of my photos on a public Google Drive ) and I agree with you. Problem with the Nokia 9 is NOT the hardware. It's the software. In low light the software has no idea what to do so it pushes ISO to 6400 and uses a 1/33 exposure, which doesn't work at all. In Manual mode the Nokia 9 can actually get better than Night Sight results if you know what you're doing. I actually have photos where I prove this on my twitter and in my RAW archive. A sure sign that the hardware can do the task but the software needs to be tuned. The Nokia 9 RAWs are incredible I'll admit. You really see the 9 cameras work their magic when you look at shots where highlights would have normally been blown out... Especially clouds.
I have Lumia 950 XL, so the quality of the shots in good conditions of light are still incredible. But since I need to buy a new phone for obvious reasons, as W10M is dead, I was thinking about a P30 Pro, Nokia 9 or Pixel 3 XL, considering I will never spend 800/1.000€ for a phone. Nokia 9 has no OIS: I find it a serious failure the absence of OIS in a cameraphone of 2019. What's your opinion as owner of the phone? Photo elaboration speed: is still so slow elaborating the shots of the 5 sensors? Hopefully Nokia 9.1 Pureview will solve some issue... And besides the camera department, fingerprint scanner I read everywhere it's really bad implemented. It's doesn't always work as it should.
@@lielbouskila9853 You can get depth in the raw file when shooting in live focus mode. But you won't be able to choose how shallow it is (you probably won't want tbh)
Great video and comparison! And great music by the way with the famous Nokia tune and it's origin (Gran Vals of Francisco Tarrega)! Absolutely liked it!
I recently changed from a Huawei Mate 10 Pro to the Nokia 9. I would like to add that there are some attributes about the Huawei that I really enjoy. First, it has zero shutter lag. Now, the Nokia 9 will actually shoot pretty fast, you can not worried about the photos being stitched together in the background and continue to take pictures. However, the shutter speed on the Huawei was fast! I like the black and white photos of the Huawei that has the dedicated black and white sensor. I think they look better than the Nokia 9 black and white pictures. However, I noticed that the Huawei tends to beautify everything. That is to say that was selfies there is a very aggressive beauty mode and with other photographs they have a tendency to blow out colors. This isn't a bad thing, as it makes pictures very beautiful. However I really enjoyed the true-to-life colors and tones at the Nokia 9 is giving me. The only other issue is that I found the Huawei mate 10 Pro to do better in low-light than the Nokia 9. The Nokia 9 does okay, but not as well as my Huawei mate 10 Pro did.
Yea, it's the whole point of raw. People seem to forget that a £4000 pro Nikon camera still can't produce certain colours accurately, the p30 certainly seems to be more 'off' than usual for certain colours but as a p30 owner and professional photographer I know I personally made the right decision, for versatility, image quality and speed the p30 pro is unbeatable (in my opinion) I had the Lumia 1020 years ago and the image quality was stunning but as a usable camera it was just too slow, sometimes it's worth taking a hit on sight image quality for a better overall experience.
+Ond Mon How fast is P30 shutter(taking photo), is it nearly instant or is there any small delay I experience sometimes with some other phones? How about speed in dim light (not night scene). I personally like google pixel 3XL photos, its stunning with just one lens but ehm 9h of screen-on time and that horrible topnotch is big no no for me... as now I have Oukitel WP2 phone (and k10000max) with 10000mah battery and 400g weight and I do not want kids toy phone anymore, pity they didn't focus more on cameras coz it would be world best phone for travelling and everything. Photos are decent but slow unless you're in daylight. I do not get why expensive flagship phones has this horrible batteries and shit, not all want 100g super-thin phone, gimme manly heavy fat beast paddle with 10000mah, best camera+software, stereo speakers, jack, ip68, FLAT display bright on sun without any notch and I will even create altair at home with brand name.... so simple expectations yet every company develop same shit every year adding shit nobody cares like round display corners..why the heck round or foldable lol? Just put big battery + good camera, done.
To be fair, u should compare the P30 Pro RAW using pixel binning in 10mp. It resulting into 2.0 micron pixel size. Nokia using 5 stitched images, why not compare P30 in their best mod?
Nokia 9 with Zeiss optics is unbeatable.. Nokia is better in camera since Nokia N9, L920, 1520, 950XL.. I am still using lumia 950 xl for smartphone camera
You can use Adobe softwares like Photoshop or Lightroom for that. I think that there are also other photo editing software that can do the job, but Adobe's the one I familiar the most.
Regarding image quality,P30 Pro is no match for Nokia 9. We are continually watching the horrible colours of the photos and videos taken by the P30 Pro. A camera with poor image quality( though full of features) could never be the best. I think comparing this phone to any Nokia Pureview phone is insignificant! In fact, the P30 Pro is deliberately overhyped. Perhaps the game of money and bias!
P30 Pro's processing is where the hype is not the manual mode. If you want best pictures then use the AI Master Mode and take normal pictures not Raw. If you want Raw then Nokia 9 or Pixel 3.
Nokia processes several photos together to make a new photo and you call that raw photos???? How could you call a processed photo 'raw photos', it just like the night mode(taking several photos to bring more details to one) with different kind of algorithm.

A. Can you get the depth processing in RAW photos?

Nice comparison. I was wondering since its a Raw comparison. Isn't it possible to correct the color of the flowers on the P30 pro shots at 3:27?
ofcourse, this compare shows nothing but sharpness, thats it coz u can tweak raw as u wish to get expected output

Huawei is a lot better in night shots. Day time photoes taken by Nokia looks more saturated. Happy to see Nokia is coming back, but a long way to go.
Nokia looks more saturated because of the usual RGB arrangement. Huawei's RYYB doesn't look right, just look at 1:08.
