Forged CR’s for sure. Peace of mind and future proof! Super excited for this build Mitch!
Facts! And thanks brother, I’m pumped to finally be doing it.
@@MitchCarveth Pigpen deserves to have a good life.
Basically my dream build awesome man. I’ve been binge watching a lot of your content love it amazing stuff.
Been my dream build for awhile as well! And thank you for the support!
following... i have a lq4 and was looking for more performance upgrades in like forever..finally
YES!
Seriously man I was a little worried. Totally sucked what happened before. Now THIS is inspiring. 🍻👊
For sure go forged connecting rods. You're already in it. Maybe wpc treat the bearings and let the shop do the bottom end? Just let them know about the ring gap/boosted application.
Why not choose like a truck norris cam? Holdner's dyno testing yielded awesome results and it sounded really good.
Seriously cannot wait to see the truck on the road.
Thank you for sticking around! It will all be worth it with this build!
I honestly haven’t looked into the truck Norris cam, I’ll do some research though and that might end up being a thing!
@MitchCarveth yea truck Norris cam would work perfectly make plenty of low end torque as well as about what you'd make with btr stage 4 cam bit of both worlds
I know you've done your research bud , the stock factory bottom end is pretty damn impressive and are good for several more RPMs then the factory rating , If it's in budget after market rods is a plus , if not I'd focus on fasteners and balancing , a smooth engine will live way longer at high RPM haha .
What happened to that super sweet framed F&F poster that use to be on the wall? had a beautiful bald man and a mopar
Awesome video Mitch..........I have my eye on a Silverado SS with the LQ9 that is supercharged and can do up to 18 pounds of boost and has a methanol injection system. NVG-149 transfer case to 4.10 geared differentials fore and back. It's a beast and seeing your video cemented me considering acquiring the vehicle with all the work done. A good question would be how much do you think it will cost per year to maintain the ride, with about 8,000 miles a year?
Nice video buddy ...what kind watch and wrist band you using it's sick
Thank you! and sorry for the late reply. Its the Fitbit Sense 2 and the white wrist band is from Fitbit as well.
Don't even worry about lowen torque with a PD supercharger.
Hell yea! I’ll be watching for the build. My 6.0 is turbo, looking to go LSA. Interested to see what numbers you put down. You gonna 93 or E85?
Nice! Guys seem to be getting great numbers with the LSA, especially after getting a Kong port job. Unfortunately we only have 92 here and the closest E85 is a few hours away but I might have a lead on barrels of E so that will hopefully be a thing in the future.
@@MitchCarveth yea, I’m in the same position as you. 93 at every station. E85 is an hour away. Barrels would be the way to go. But 2 tanks and that’s done. Lol
Oh for sure, it would be a really fun 2 tank though lol
@@MitchCarveth 😂😂😂
what supercharger are you planning on running? i was planning on doing a gt500 supercharger but people have blown the price out of the proportion and there was going to be alot of custom fab and other stuff id have to figure out. i can do the fab work but i didnt want to have the truck down for too long. i have an lq4 waiting to go back together.
I’m just going to go with the LSA supercharger for now with upgraded pulley and eventually a port job.
@@MitchCarveth where did you find yours? Used on eBay or marketplace?
Good candidate for the Truck Norris cam?
A few people have brought that cam up so I need to get my research on and that might end up being a thing.
What injectors will you be running?
I’ll be running the Gen4 6.0 injectors while it’s N/A then depending on fuel starvation once it’s supercharged I’ll go from there. Hopefully get away with just LSA injectors.
@@MitchCarveth what cc or # injectors would you be running under boost?
So I might be the least knowledgeable of your subscribers when it comes to.. Yeah pretty much all of your content, but I feel like I'm learning stuff. Anyway this is probably about to be a really stupid question. Do the parts ship with spark plugs still in them for a reason, or is it just "Let the new parent remove the old plugs"? The blue shop towels stuffed in everywhere make sense, to keep dirt and whatnot out, just wondering if its the same with old plugs, hoses and whatnot. Can't wait till the new engine startles the hell out of me coming up Trinidad at 5:30 in the morning lol
Lol it’s basically let it be the next persons problem removing them. They weren’t the stock plugs so hopefully whoever installed them used anti seize 🤞 and I can’t wait for that either lol
That your 1st gen 4runner ?
Yeah, I can finally start to work on that thing again.
@@MitchCarveth how much you selling it for 😋
Lol I’m actually selling it once I’m done with
