No worries, it’ll come by shear algorithmic work
Loeb is still an absolute beast, still winning WRC events in '22!
He is the best pilot of all time

With Ogier who is even better than him
@@thomasharter8161 I disagree. Ogier can't hold a candle to Loeb. In fact, when they were teammates, Ogier kinda "cheated". Loeb would give him his split times but Ogier refused.
Got a C4 in 2007 because of Loeb winning on WRC and looking good while doing it. 15 years later, I have zero regrets! I still love how it looks on the road and for a 15 year old car, it still looks as good as more modern models.
C4 best car !
i feel bad for people that trully believe the road car have more than the lights equal to the bespoke racing car.
@@thepro08 ok buddy
We live in a world where class acts like this have far less views than mukbang videos. Much respect for Henry and the Carfection team for their amazing work.
-A forever fan
Sadly there's much more stupid people who love watching ritual humiliation than car fans....☹️
Sad reality. Yeah very much appreciated
Why not both? Rally mukbang is my speed
Perfect comment. Sad but true.
I wonder more about the fact that his has 250k views but only 8k likes. That's sad.
Toyota have shown with GR Yaris there is strong demand for road cars that are close to their WRC brothers. Would be great to see Hyundai or Ford make something based on their current WRC cars.
It's almost like the 2020 Ford Focus RS was never made... LOL
technically the i20n is Hyundais answer. but its a shame it isnt AWD.
ford on the other hand...... has nothing (i doubt the Puma ST counts)
@@yeshwantdasari20752020 Ford Focus RS
@@edwardfletcher7790 2022 focus rs was never made... ST is there but not RS. The last RS car from ford was in 2017
@@aadi8568 My bad I meant to type 2020 lol
I wonder if the engine & gearbox problems led to its early cancellation ?
WOW!!! That's EXACTLY what I wanted to see. Loeb's C4 driven by Henry. Not Chris not Harry, Henry. The whole team on that shoot outdid themselves if that's even possible. Thanks. I'll be watching this more than once, that I can assure you.
Suspension by a small Devon company called Exe-TC.....
I don't know the details
Not sure why, Chris is the superior driver by a long shot…
@@yungnietzsche2302 Because of Henry's love of the sport and superior communication skills.
Oh. My. God. I don't know what more to say about your cinematography, the drone shots and transitions were absolutely stunning and your commentary is so in-depth that I feel like I've driven the car myself and know all about its behavior.
You're the best in the business by far.
And that camera shot from the front bumper.....almost touching the ground, gives such a good idea of the speed ...
Is this another re-upload?
If the unit is from 2008 it is still powered by the old PSA XU family engine, which was used in the Xsara T4 WRCs, it was actually a 1.8 l version (XU 7, specifically a XU7JP4) raising the displacement to 2.0 l. (1,998 cm3), lengthening the cylinder stroke.
It was an engine from the same family as the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 (XU 8T). Obviously much more current, with much more advanced electronics, and with a smaller turbo with the regulation 34 mm flange.
Since 2009 season onwards, it already used the most modern EW family engine that was used in the series, and which premiered with the Peugeot 206 in 1998.
It's really interesting how the XU had just long enough career to have this connection. Also to think that in between it also saw (very different) use in the high-revving F2 Kit Cars and Super Touring cars.
@@retardray5701 Totally true.
In the case of the 306 Maxi, it was XU10 J4RS version, derived from the latest street versions of the XU family, which also equiped 405 T16 (XU10 J4TE version) that replaced the 1,905 cm3 XU9 that equiped the 405 Mi 16, 309 GTI16 and Citroën BX GTI 16V (XU9 J4 version). Also note that from this XU9 came the one that mounted 405 Turbo 16 of Pikes Peak and Paris-Dakar with the name of XU9T that in the most performance version of Pikes Peak yielded between 660 and 700 HP, although at more than 4,000 meters. of height of the famous ascent with lack of oxygen in the air the engines yielded much less power.
Henry, you ARE one of the greats, just carry on doing stuff like this, FANTASTIC channel
Driving with Loeb must have been crazy... I am 26 now and I remember all of his championship after championships. One of the GOATs for sure, every rally driver must have been delighted when he retired. I drove on the Val Thorens ice driving course a couple of years ago and the instructor there told me Loeb used to drive there and practice a lot. He said I just missed him with a day, then we went to the restaurant they said the same thing and I was super sad not meeting such a legend.
Those transitions during the intro where really sweet, nice work and I hope you hit the 1m soon!
I love this car.. it's a legend.. i have so many memories from this.. i was lucky and got inside as codriver.. the feeling was amazing! Thanks for the video!! 🔝🏁💯
THATS so awesome!!!
Henry - you and the team have outdone yourself, love this! 💕
Wow...! Epic work chaps, superb presentation (as always) from Henry, and with special gold star to Josh and his drone flying. Stunning.
Not only driving the beast, but tracing the incredible history of it, that's how you do it! Amazing production!
Thank you for being a real and proper channel for car enthusiasts, this content is pure gold.
If only Citroen's road cars were made with the same thought.
It's not too late Citroen.
Nah, I appreciate that at least one fairly affordable manufacturer is making cars that are actually comfortable instead of pseudo sporty ones everyone is making nowadays.
I donno Most VTS varients are pretty fun
And Ford, and Peugeot, and BMW and Renault, and etc.. they are not too concerned about the profit margins of mass production in a racing car.
I have the road version of "this" car, for Brazil's market the C4 VTR (2008) is a great car.
Best carfection film so far!! Great driving, great filming and great flying! When driving between the stages on Rally GB, I still remember Loeb appearing out of nowhere in one of these, sliding around a mini round about and raced off to get to the start of the next stage. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You sir, are living my life. Driving iconic Road and Motorsports cars.
I love the fact that Henry loves rallying. My guy right here. Thank you for this!
It's DNA is drawn from the XSARA & 206, both PSA's finest. 👍👍
Totally Outrageous vid, cinematography is spectacular! Many thanx.
Add to: "some snakes have a higher center of gravity"......lol
This channel has such fantastic content. Thank you yet again!
What a video! I am a huge Rally Fan, and it is always great to see those legendary cars in depth!
so amazing to watch !
lucky man Henry but no one more deserving
thanks for the video !
This just made my day. Thank you!
An amazing machine.
It's great to heard about these times and the history of these cars.
Loved this video with all the FPV shots too. Thanks for the coverage on this car!
Wow !!! That video is pure gold!!! One of the best videos I've ever seen on this platform! And this car, it's just perfect!!!
That Henry was able to provide narration while driving this vicious car very cleanly and within himself is testament to his skills and versatility.
@@johntechwriter Absolutely !!
Love this guy what a legend. Love the passion he has.
Loving this whole video 👍
The camerawork & drone footage are SUPERB 😲
Wow, what a WRC drive this is.
Fantastic to see it in its glory in modern day times. Great video Henry 🔥🔥🔥
Been an F1 and Moto GP fan since I was a kid thanks to my dad but I've never thought of rally. Goosebumps watching that, class video Carfection as usual.
PLEASE watch some of the old Group B era videos. You will be hooked from that moment.
Epic content, and Henry is Top ! This is full of spectacular shots and interesting details on this car.
That was brilliant. Loved the drone footage as it caught up to and then followed the car
Still one of the best videos I watched with passion!
Honestly, the moment you pulled that handbrake and went around the right hander must've been one of the coolest moments ever in a car. Thank you for the content!
Goodonya Henry and co for yet another fabulous video, always love rallying and especially Seb . I still drive a 2002 206 GTi which I purchased after Gronholm won the WRC crown, and it’s still fun through twisty mountain roads.
Huge and early Loeb fan too like millions of others, Loved this car and what an amazing story that goes with it.. What a privilege. Had a ride with Russel Brooks in his Lotus Sunbeam once (I had one at the rime), that was amazing. Sitting alongside Loeb would have been awsome. Thank you for sharing..
So great. Thanks for bringing back childhood memories.
Another fantastic video Henry. Homage to the past and great driving!!
Mate, that was an absolute blast. Great vid, as ever Rory...
Why didnt I know this channel? 😮 This was the greatest video Ive seen in a while
I'm glad i've seen this channel grow. Always had faith in it.
I love how the Ford and the Citroen were both 4 cylinders at the time yet sounded so differently from one another.
How am I only finding this channel now?! I've been missing out. Brilliant stuff, subscribed.
Fantastic material and production quality.
top notch writing, as always. Great car - really glad to have some dialogue with the owner as well (pulling in some good Petrolicious elements while keeping the focus on the car)
The cinematography here is just breathtaking.
Iconic. Great video mate.
Best channel, Best cinematography, best presenter end of! Just amazing 🤟🏽😎
This car and Loeb Amazing work with it is The reason why I got the C4 VTR as my first car. I know the road car don't have a lot of the race car, but it was a nice feeling having the car that "based" one of the Best WRC cars Ever made. Absolutely loved my little Citroën, might get another one in a few years, but this time, a VTS.
Had feeling of deja vu watching beginning of this. Anyway really enjoyed it (again?!) - got a good feel of how blistering quick and sharp this car is. Great video Henry, bravo.
Yeah me too, has it been re-uploaded?
Same here. The story about the original all-red livery, the mild dissing of the “C4 Loeb Edition” - I’ve heard that before. Can’t find it in the Carfection back catalogue though. Maybe they’ve pulled the original and this is a longer edit?
Actually there’s an announcement in the Community section that this is a remastering of an old video.
I think there was a shorter/different cut of this video before?
Well driven Sir ..and you managed to talk also …very impressed..Great work very much enjoyed 👍
Amazing top quality videos! Keep it up!
Once again, beautifully done. You lucky!
Love the sounds!!!👍👍
Nice drone work and intro in general!
I´ve commentated Rally Germany for many years, this C4 won the mighty Panzerplatte! Amazing ca with Seb! Great vid!
I’m currently driving a c4 vtr+ , it’s a 2.0l petrol , 5 door from 2005. You tube has linked me here, really enjoyed watching this and have subscribed , great work cheers
Big LIKE ! Masterpiece
that begining segment with the screen flip was amazing beautifully filmed such an elegant vehicle.:) on a side note i subbed call me impressed :)
This is probably my favourite auto channel, been subbed for years. I'm gonna offer my congratulationfor the inevitable 1 millions subs, which I expect you'll earn within a week or two.
Wow that gives me goosebumps

Wow this is an amazing car keep up the great content
Come on Henry nearly there, close to 1m subscribers 👍 You absolutely deserve it
Well done mate! 🤙
Simply Purrrrrfection Carfection!
The intro is out of this world
oh my god what a thing what a drive what a man behind the wheel😍
Awesome stuff 😎
Viva Citroën!!! What a machine. Doesn't hurt that Loeb is piloting this beauty. Cool viddy!!! 👏🕶️👍
THANK YOU for not having ridiculous screaming 'rock' music driving out (see what I did there?) the sound of the car and the narration. Well done!
Loeb is the GOAT driver imo, all disciplines.,
would have loved to see closer views and tricks in the engine bay and under the car to see chassis parts/suspension ,these are so rare to be closely examined...I know Seb Loeb had a very tight team of mechanics that he cherished ,they would take his car apart and re-check everything even if it was not needed ,come -up with smart little tricks & parts to give him even more reliability and performance....great video..
The name Sebastian and RB is a legendary combo 🔥
What a lovely shed.
I got the vtr+ since a few months, love it !
Great film work at the intro.
The image quality on this is insane!
vicariously living through Henry at this point as he slowly ticks off all the "Hero" cars from the bucket lists, Thank you Henry, Thank you Carfection.
Open wheel next ?
OK lets watch this again 😍
Fantastic as usual Henry ,the C4 was the most buttoned down and well engineered car in the WRC in its day, Citroen always had a way with cars when it came to racing, point the C4 and there it goes, 👍
We got 3 brands in France and they all came on the top of the world, Renault in rally and F1, Peugeot in rally and Dakar and Pike peak, Citroën in rally and Dakar. So i would say it's not Just the brand but how are build performance car in our country. Maybe also cause we are Lucky to have proper pilots too. It's a combinaison of things i suppose. The other country that make performance and Light cars Is japan.
May God.. Giving the opportunitty to drive one of the most successful and good looking WRC cars of all times and even one that Loeb himself leaded to winning several times... That's amazing! Big ol' Fan of Loeb since I was in early high school here, and a truly fan of Citroën also (I had 2 Xsaras VTS because I wanted to have at least the road version of the Car that make possible Loeb's 1st Title in the WRC :P) Amazing video, thank you and Thank you to the collectors that take care of these beauties and pieces of history of modern Rally racing :)
14:09 looks absolutely breathtaking.
Lovely car my friend, it most be great experience to drive one of this. God Bless you all.
Ahhh, the car that almost clipped me in 2011 in Farschweiler Trier when I tried to get a good spot to make photos. Beautiful video.
That was exhilarating ! Great.
Unbeatable, beautifull, elegant and good sounding. Yet still very underrated, i don't know how someone can't love this car.
Everything is Imprezas and EVOs to people recently...
Because you can buy a road version of a WRC sti/evo. Unfortunately Citroen never decided to make a proper road rally car or even hot hatch for that matter, the closest they ever came was the DS3R
@@turbosydney road version? Homologation specials ended in 1997 with the WRC regulations, only mitsubishi used the old group a homologation until 2001, making the EVO 6.5 the last true rally homologation special. They're just selling you road car versions that look like their rally counterparts which only have the windshield and a few minor things in common.
The most beautiful car ever designed. I remember seeing it in the Champs Élysée boutique of Citroën and at the Paris motor show! As a kid I dreamed of buying one
Woah :D. Love watching these remastered videos, especially that i haven't been part of this channel for long 😅👍
Another re-upload, but still a good video. 👍
Best one yet. Wow.
I found it so damn interesting watching Loeb shifting with one pedal only for pull -up and push-down
This video is hilarious! Reminds me of days in the military where you're trying to hear commands over the sound of a tracked vehicle, or aircraft. "Say again, over!"
Awesome camera work at the beginning of the vid
amazing car..a hug from Argentina
One of the most Beautiful WRC Work Car for the WRC by CITROËN >>> Citroën C4 ( 2008 ) 🙏 Thank You So Much for this Review & Tribute! 🌷🌿🌏💜🕊🇫🇷
It's a shame Citroen never capitalised on their rally success with hot road going C4s. Loeb is a living legend as his 2022 Monte Carlo win showed.
Loeb is a superhuman, you can give him absolutely any car and he well fight in the top with it. As he had proved many times in many categories.
I do remember a C2 VTS loeb edition being a thing, but it was nothing more than a red C2 with a few menial upgrades and stickers, Citroen did use the C2 for the Junior WRC but funnily enough Ogier is the one who made it an s1600 icon
