This is a great introduction to KG Motorsport. These purpose built cars are at another level, not just in performance but in price. Growing up in Ireland (Kilkenny) and driving on the back lanes when I was 17, we learned early how to drive on wet narrow roads with stone walls or thick hedges on every bend. We did not always get it right, had many a near miss tail hanging my mums Mazda 323 and my dad's Toyota Hiace van in the early 1980's around bends. The fact we survive is a wonder. Would we do it all again, "for sure"! We were also so lucky to have the Circuit of Ireland come through Kilkenny every year, at a time when rear wheel drive was everything and the Audi Quattro had just arrived. Another world at another time!
Experiencing a drive in a rally car is one of the most visceral experiences you can have. The performance, handling and above all the noise! Mind blowing.
Regarding the subtitles, as a Scottish person I know that a lot of people who are non-British find spoken English with a Scottish accent hard to understand. Oh Larry, I’m disappointed you didn’t knew about the 240RS, I drove in one when I was 12 years old, the owner was a rally driver and the experience I still remember like it was yesterday.
Omg that homologation 240RS is insanity!!
Ooooo.... ok, this is how garage in heaven looks like 😍😍👍
Richard Burns was my hero when I was a kid. I remember meeting him here in New Zealand, such an awesome man.
Thats Heaven right There 😍🤌🤌
So Many Rally Legends in this Garage. With love from the U.K 👍👍👌👌
Oh jeez what a collection. Never seen a 240RS road car. Nice work Larry
Rally racing was big in California back in the 80s-90s, then due to the state insurance law it died down. But back then we drove rally cars during transit on the highways up in Palmdale Lancaster Antelope Valley, and also Gorman, Glen Helen. I sure miss those days.
This is just every petrolhead’s heaven!! Also the road cars are great !!
Wow, like a Rally Car candy shop. So awesome to see so many in one place!
Great vid, awesome presentation and lovely bunch of guys at KG. What a set up there!
Hes such a hero driving like this out on public roads ... hat off
Chen absolutely gobsmacked👍💪
What a fantastic place. So much history and passion.
Thanks
That’s some amazing rally cars!
Absolutely fantastic video! I love your enthusiasm and awe to such an amazing display of rally cars. I mist visit KG MOTORSPORT some day to see these beautiful machines in person. Thank you very much for this video!
the real definition of dream garage 👍
So entertaining 👌🏼 What a facility to film. I can’t imagine trying to split and determine what to film most, ask questions about. You could almost have an episode per car!
240rs!! so close to our nissan 910 bluebird. if only we got the fj24... I am luck enough to have seen 2 in the flesh here at Targa! Hello larry from Tasmania!
Fantastic insight into Kieron Graffins collection. Very well filmed and presented, thankyou.
When i hear that Hagerty theme, i know what's up! Another fire video from Larry.
if only i was a few years older and had some money, i'd definitely check these out
What a great video. This is awesome. Great journalism, great subject. A video of dreams for a rally fan. P.s - it's really cool to hear another American this knowledgeable on rally, that's what's was beautiful about Ken block. I was lucky enough to meet Ken block and Alex gelsomino in rally Spain, 2 absolute legends and great people. Ken was truly a man of the fans
I got to New England forest rally almost every year and my favorite part is driving from stage to stage with all the racers.
This is heaven!!!
"So let's look at that Toyota"...never were more Larry chen words spoken!
24:36 Opel Astra GSi
Great vid. Great cars.
Larry is just getting better and better, what a collection!
I sat in a clio 3 Rally car, skoda fabia r5 and evo 9 rally car. I can really understand the excitement of sitting in one. The experience is crazy
What an awesome video and what an awesome collection. What I however did not see in the collection is for me probably the most iconic and that's the Audi Quatro
that story of the 22B made me cry
This was so cool ,totally enjoyed this. What an an amazing collection.
Can we all just appreciate that 22B
Yep. My cousin had one, once upon a time. He wrapped it around a pole when he ran out of talent and road. Sold the front half for parts, back half for scrap.
Hagerty should try to get entrance to Juha Kankkunen`s own rally car collection in Finland. There are some rare racers and some great Ferrari´s too.
Wow wow I'm gobsmacked all these cars are worth millions probably nothing else in the world like it stunning 😊😊
Opel GSI and Ford Escort are my favourits. I drove them both in the years 😊
