Uhhh, that's every one of these mouth breathers that buy these cars. A normal person can't get an allocation, just the chosen ones. These chosen ones buy the car and then turn around and sell it less than a year later and work with the dealer from which they got the car. The dealer makes a shit ton off the car in the "used" market, and the grift continues. And we're supposed to be grateful for the opportunity to buy a used one. These guys are literally just flippers.

He has become a true you tuber, dream car gone in 12 months, Porsche GB is terrible, so many deserving customers don't get a look in yet if you have a few million followers you can have what you want, its advertising at the end of the day but its such a shame for the real customers who put so much money into a brand.
2500 miles is arround 5000km which is a lot for UK I think for weekend cars (Saturday and Sunday) Remember he have lots of a car so 2500 miles is nothing, I have 2 cars but 1 is for daily run which I bought in 2019 and has 50.000 miles in it, meanwhile I have 2018 cars for weekend hangout just pass 15k miles yesterday.

No they don’t get it at retail price. There is atleast £80-100k loss in between. The way it works is you have to buy and sell a few cars at loss so the OPC gets a profit on every transaction and on that promise you get an allocation. So Matt must have sold this car back at £195k not £260k and will get ST allocation. I have done the same with Porsche GB hence I am a source of truth 😂.

I totally get why you may think that. But the truth is the car has 8K miles driven hard by journos so will have used a little oil. And the oil light popped up so I took the opportunity to use it for an ad integration for my sponsor GSF which has sponsored other vids too. Otherwise I would have had to get the car on a ramp and drain some oil out of it which being a press car I wouldn't be allowed to do anyway. once you drive modern cars, especially quite track focused ones, you get tired of them, unless you're actually tracking them. since most dont track them for fear of depreciation or a crash, the passion fades quickly when the care goes from something you grow and experience new things with, to just a heavy financial object. this happens over and over..
Gentia Blue personally for me - Works amazing with the brown interior spec. Have it on my one Porsche and it’s always the first thing everyone says is how much they love the colour. Black is also very nice but you’ll be washing it forever. The thing with blue is that it is both professional looking and also a bit playful but not too attention seeking. You can take this car to a car meet and also a black tie-dinner. Bose is a must for longer tours. Also will help on the resale.
It bothers me to see that performance cars are enginered and designed to be driven hard and fast, and yet they can only be bought by idiots who do not use them for their intended purpose.
Black is wonderful on a "regular" car, however on a 911 it is a shame since you can't see the beautiful shapes on the car, white is also hiding shapes...the interior though is just spot on!!
Exactly!! Black only goes well on Mercedes S-class because they already have no shapes. On any other car with some interesting shapes black makes them look like a shapeless blob, so it ruins the design. I also don't like red cars because I think the taillights blend too much with the red paint and you lose the design of the taillights a bit.

Get the Forrest gren with the brown and add the Bose system.....Get Rims that are not white......For this money, get a sophisticated and classy car. You just moved away from a track looking car. Otherwise you could have kept the GT3RS
I won’t take black for sure. The car in black somehow looses all the lines and shapes, looks more “flat” shall I say. So I will probably go with the Shore Blue since it’s THE S/T color. White looks good too tho. And as for the taillights - would definitely leave them red
Every 911 looks the same anyway, and in terms of drivability unless you track it you cant even appreciate the slight differences on the road. But Porsche fanboys like Mat only care about feeling "different" (that's why they hate on Ferrari and Lambo cause they're generally recognized as the top sportcar brands by most people) and the gt3rs started to become too popular

I own a 2019 911 Targa in PTS Irish Green, its my favourite colour, I only planned to keep the car for 4 or so years I now have had for 6 years and have no intentions of selling it. A 911 S/T in Irish Green would be killer hope the dealership somehow gets an allocation for PTS to allow you to change the spec, very biased but in my opinion the best colour on the 911.

Shipped it to Borneo island, did a tip to tip drive through tarmac, mud, gravels, crossed a river, up muddy mountain roads full of potholes just to catch a sunrise over the tallest mountain in South East Asia, where then few months later I brought it to the north of Thailand to drive along the best driving roads in the world. I'm never selling it. My dream is to drive it across China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and then to Turkey and Europe. That's my dream car.

I was on the waiting list for the 997 GT3 for almost a year before it was released. Custom ordered it exactly the way I wanted it and it was beautiful. My daughter was born two weeks before the car arrived. I kept it for six months and then sold it. No regrets, no shame. I never launched it. I did drive it on track though, did about 10 parade laps in it, which were fortunately at pretty decent pace. Everyone riding behind me said the sound was totally awesome.

100% Shore Blue and option it with the Bose just for the potential resale value. For the money, it's worth it even if you never use it. Does it add weight, sure. But you've said multiple times you're not looking to track the car, so a little extra weight shouldn't be an issue
The exclusive blue is by far the best colour option, grab the clear taillights, you wont regret the bose, and add the number back since it suits the blue so well.

Pls no plain Black or White like some kind of fleet Passat. S/T with metallic colour is an absolute must car will look different depending on how much light you have outside and you will absolutely love it during sunny summer days. If I had to pick it would be in this order. 1. Ice Grey Metallic - very unique colour on S/T because if someone goes for Silver it will be 99% GT Silver which has slight yellow tint to it while Ice Grey is cleaner with white/blueish 2. Gentian Blue Metallic - absolutely amazing colour which goes from blue to purple depending on angle and lighting 3. Shore Blue Metallic - godlike exlusive colour and would be probably my number 1 choice, but it's press colour and half of all S/Ts (if not more) will have it, which means even tho it's "exclusive" it will be the most common one on this model and "least special". Considering prices of something like press coloured GT Silver Carrera GTs compared to huge premiums of Yellow, Red Carrera GTs? If S/T is your ultimate dream car and you plan keeping it for +10 years I would definitely stay away from Shore Blue, if you pick something not so many people have on S/T like Ice Grey or Gentian Blue, it will always be easily recognizable as Mat Watson's S/T when some car guys stumble upon it online or in person. For non car people it will be just another blue/silver 911 Carrera their dentist drives. Those who know know those who don't who cares, ultimate under the radar road car which GT3 Touring and S/T is all about. I would also remove big number and text sticker (yes even huge Porsche lettering) from the car to make it classy and not look like hoodie with big balenciaga/gucci branding. Everyone knows it's Porsche from 5yo kids to 80yo grandpas, there is no need for silly sticker. Good luck with your choice, would love to be in your position, but if it was me, I would probably try to sell my soul for PTS color anyway just to make it my "own" even more. Would email Andreas, CEO of Porsche, anyone just to beg them for PTS slot no matter if the car would come year later or more. Mat is getting rid of GT3RS almost exactly after a year would make sense it’s lease, but at the same time if 3RS really was long term lease press car why would Mat baby it so much not launching it single time, not taking it to track and putting on just 2500 miles, while he was trashing other leased vehicles like Spyder RS, RS7, R8, Turbo S etc. His 3RS wasn’t in a single carwow video which would really make me believe it was his own, since all of his previous press cars featured in drag races. Will see, all of this atm is pure speculation, but we could know for sure next year. Go for Flat Black exterior with the heritage exclusive interior, get the BOSE sound system too because if you are gonna sell the s/t in the future for an upgrade like the 3RS you will get the money back and the car always stays more desirable. And stay away from Exclusive Lights Mat. That spec is the right spec.

I get the feeling all of this is a marketing deal between Porsche and Matt Watson. No way is he paying full price on these cars. No doubt massive discount, or, more likely, a commercial deal which allows him to drive it for a year and will, have another “change of heart” and hand it back. In short, this is a big advert for Porsche and Matt, with his million plus subscribers is getting the car or the use of the car, for next to nothing. The aim, to draw in those with big enough wallets (or tolerance for debt) to pay these stupid prices for a sports car.
It was probably an agreement with Porsche to return the car after a year. Considering how hard it is to buy a gt3 rs, I was surprised that Matt was able to get one so quickly
i understand why you did it but it’s sad to see a GT3 RS go when you got so lucky to own and spec one yourself. That being said, i would take the S/T over the GT3 RS without a second thought since it’s a less complicated car to own and use and having fun with it during the weekend is gonna be amazing with that manual.
Personally, I would go with the white or possibly the light blue color you considered. I’ve always had black vehicles. But this Porsche is so beautiful I don’t think flat black does it justice to showcase the beautiful design of this vehicle. The lines and curves get lost in black. But no matter what, I’m excited for you, and it’s going to be beautiful no matter what. I’m grateful that you have the opportunity to enjoy these vehicles and believe I will as well. Shore blue looks class. Black is somewhat 🥱 and can be had on any car. As can white of course but the 911 does look good in white. If it was me and out of those three colours it would be shore blue. Have fun deciding!

I wouldn't go for black : 1) Black kills the curves of the body of the car. People wear black to look slimmer for the same reason, it melts everything together. You don't want to do that with a 911. 2) With black you lose the contrast against the plastic bits, mainly in the bumpers. Those are also features to be appreciated. They provide depth to the design. 3) Black gets dirty the second you leave the car wash. 4) Black gets the nastiest scratches, that you wouldn't even notice on a lighter color. 5) Black is a boring plain color, not suited for such a wonderful release. This is the reason why I would also not go for the white. Get something special.
I couldn’t think of anything worse than driving a GT3 RS on public roads for several thousand miles. Just too focused and harsh for my liking, everything dialled up to ten and the thought of driving it on normal roads, with ‘that’ suspension is unpalatable to say the least. Sure they look great, get rave press, and are quick around a circuit but I suspect the novelty would wear off very quickly, just as in this instance. A Turbo ‘S’, with all the interior trimmings (sunroof, climate seats, nose lift, top hi-fi, matrix lights, cameras, chrono, heated wheel and exclusive interior) would be my first choice. The ‘S’ is mega at 6/10 with bags of torque low down, driving something at 10/10 and 9,000rpm doesn’t interest me at all, it’s tiring.
To me not a contest. Black exterior, Boss sound system, rear red lights. It’s classy and it will go well with the touring ethos of the car, despite being an S/T
White, red taillights, with Bose. White brings out all the details so much nicer and looks better than black in 90% real world conditions. Black only looks good on a cloudy day perfectly clean. Red taillight for the nice contrast in the back. Bose is one of those “some people must have it” (e.g. me) options that are near impossible to add after the fact and is a mere £1.2k check box.

No they don’t get it at retail price. There is atleast £80-100k loss in between. The way it works is you have to buy and sell a few cars at loss so the OPC gets a profit on every transaction and on that promise you get an allocation. So Matt must have sold this car back at £195k not £260k and will get ST allocation. I have done the same with Porsche GB hence I am a source of truth 😂.

I totally get why you may think that. But the truth is the car has 8K miles driven hard by journos so will have used a little oil. And the oil light popped up so I took the opportunity to use it for an ad integration for my sponsor GSF which has sponsored other vids too. Otherwise I would have had to get the car on a ramp and drain some oil out of it which being a press car I wouldn't be allowed to do anyway. And so I would have just come up with another topic for the advert integration. Hope that sets the record straight. And I hope you continue to enjoy the vids.
once you drive modern cars, especially quite track focused ones, you get tired of them, unless you're actually tracking them. since most dont track them for fear of depreciation or a crash, the passion fades quickly when the care goes from something you grow and experience new things with, to just a heavy financial object. this happens over and over..
Gentia Blue personally for me - Works amazing with the brown interior spec. Have it on my one Porsche and it’s always the first thing everyone says is how much they love the colour. Black is also very nice but you’ll be washing it forever.
The thing with blue is that it is both professional looking and also a bit playful but not too attention seeking. You can take this car to a car meet and also a black tie-dinner.
Bose is a must for longer tours. Also will help on the resale.

Black is wonderful on a "regular" car, however on a 911 it is a shame since you can't see the beautiful shapes on the car, white is also hiding shapes...the interior though is just spot on!!
Exactly!! Black only goes well on Mercedes S-class because they already have no shapes. On any other car with some interesting shapes black makes them look like a shapeless blob, so it ruins the design. I also don't like red cars because I think the taillights blend too much with the red paint and you lose the design of the taillights a bit.

Get the Forrest gren with the brown and add the Bose system.....Get Rims that are not white......For this money, get a sophisticated and classy car. You just moved away from a track looking car. Otherwise you could have kept the GT3RS

Every 911 looks the same anyway, and in terms of drivability unless you track it you cant even appreciate the slight differences on the road. But Porsche fanboys like Mat only care about feeling "different" (that's why they hate on Ferrari and Lambo cause they're generally recognized as the top sportcar brands by most people) and the gt3rs started to become too popular

I own a 2019 911 Targa in PTS Irish Green, its my favourite colour, I only planned to keep the car for 4 or so years I now have had for 6 years and have no intentions of selling it. A 911 S/T in Irish Green would be killer hope the dealership somehow gets an allocation for PTS to allow you to change the spec, very biased but in my opinion the best colour on the 911.

Five years ago I bought my dream car. 5.9 litres V12 naturally aspirated 560hp. I bring my family everywhere I go with it. Shipped it to Borneo island, did a tip to tip drive through tarmac, mud, gravels, crossed a river, up muddy mountain roads full of potholes just to catch a sunrise over the tallest mountain in South East Asia, where then few months later I brought it to the north of Thailand to drive along the best driving roads in the world. I'm never selling it. My dream is to drive it across China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and then to Turkey and Europe. That's my dream car.

I was on the waiting list for the 997 GT3 for almost a year before it was released. Custom ordered it exactly the way I wanted it and it was beautiful. My daughter was born two weeks before the car arrived. I kept it for six months and then sold it. No regrets, no shame. I never launched it. I did drive it on track though, did about 10 parade laps in it, which were fortunately at pretty decent pace. Everyone riding behind me said the sound was totally awesome.

Spec - black (wrap it clay grey or nardo), brown interior, colour matched mirrors, red brake light, Bose, ceramic brakes black callipers. paint the wheels after delivery in a good body shop.
This is just BS, at this stage i don't think he relly owned this Porsche...i think was just an agrement between him and Porsche...even if is only 2.5k miles that car was strangely clean underneath

yeah this is the spec to go in my opinion.. the value will increase much more later on than black or white
100% Shore Blue and option it with the Bose just for the potential resale value. For the money, it's worth it even if you never use it. Does it add weight, sure. But you've said multiple times you're not looking to track the car, so a little extra weight shouldn't be an issue

The exclusive blue is by far the best colour option, grab the clear taillights, you wont regret the bose, and add the number back since it suits the blue so well.
Shore blue and black with red taillights works really well, the Bose sound system is a must as you won’t listen to the engine noise all the time.
Really could have grown your channel by beating the crap out of the 3RS, learning how to track it etc. I’m sick of these types of channels only putting 2k miles on a “dream car”
Pls no plain Black or White like some kind of fleet Passat.
S/T with metallic colour is an absolute must car will look different depending on how much light you have outside and you will absolutely love it during sunny summer days.
If I had to pick it would be in this order.
1. Ice Grey Metallic - very unique colour on S/T because if someone goes for Silver it will be 99% GT Silver which has slight yellow tint to it while Ice Grey is cleaner with white/blueish
2. Gentian Blue Metallic - absolutely amazing colour which goes from blue to purple depending on angle and lighting
3. Shore Blue Metallic - godlike exlusive colour and would be probably my number 1 choice, but it's press colour and half of all S/Ts (if not more) will have it, which means even tho it's "exclusive" it will be the most common one on this model and "least special". Considering prices of something like press coloured GT Silver Carrera GTs compared to huge premiums of Yellow, Red Carrera GTs?
If S/T is your ultimate dream car and you plan keeping it for +10 years I would definitely stay away from Shore Blue, if you pick something not so many people have on S/T like Ice Grey or Gentian Blue, it will always be easily recognizable as Mat Watson's S/T when some car guys stumble upon it online or in person. For non car people it will be just another blue/silver 911 Carrera their dentist drives. Those who know know those who don't who cares, ultimate under the radar road car which GT3 Touring and S/T is all about. I would also remove big number and text sticker (yes even huge Porsche lettering) from the car to make it classy and not look like hoodie with big balenciaga/gucci branding. Everyone knows it's Porsche from 5yo kids to 80yo grandpas, there is no need for silly sticker.
Good luck with your choice, would love to be in your position, but if it was me, I would probably try to sell my soul for PTS color anyway just to make it my "own" even more. Would email Andreas, CEO of Porsche, anyone just to beg them for PTS slot no matter if the car would come year later or more. @@PavolMusic Ofc here is possibility all of this is just show for youtube for content, but you can’t be 100% sure yet. Mat is getting rid of GT3RS almost exactly after a year would make sense it’s lease, but at the same time if 3RS really was long term lease press car why would Mat baby it so much not launching it single time, not taking it to track and putting on just 2500 miles, while he was trashing other leased vehicles like Spyder RS, RS7, R8, Turbo S etc.
His 3RS wasn’t in a single carwow video which would really make me believe it was his own, since all of his previous press cars featured in drag races.
Will see, all of this atm is pure speculation, but we could know for sure next year. If in 12 months Mat magically gets offered something else and has to “sell” S/T for something like 992.2 GT3 Touring with backseats with bs excuse like oh but I can take my little daughter in this one then it will be obvious, but if he really keeps S/T and adds back seats to it and does other hard mods? Interested myself to find out.

Go for Flat Black exterior with the heritage exclusive interior, get the BOSE sound system too because if you are gonna sell the s/t in the future for an upgrade like the 3RS you will get the money back and the car always stays more desirable. And stay away from Exclusive Lights Mat. That spec is the right spec.
Sad to see multiple youtubers selling it like Mark MaCcann, Mat, not even track it, scared of depreciation... Mid amount of content from Mat, literally ZERO from Mark... Sad times.
I get the feeling all of this is a marketing deal between Porsche and Matt Watson. No way is he paying full price on these cars. No doubt massive discount, or, more likely, a commercial deal which allows him to drive it for a year and will, have another “change of heart” and hand it back. In short, this is a big advert for Porsche and Matt, with his million plus subscribers is getting the car or the use of the car, for next to nothing. The aim, to draw in those with big enough wallets (or tolerance for debt) to pay these stupid prices for a sports car.
Pretty obvious, it was primarily for content and not as a true RS enthusiast/owner.

i understand why you did it but it’s sad to see a GT3 RS go when you got so lucky to own and spec one yourself. That being said, i would take the S/T over the GT3 RS without a second thought since it’s a less complicated car to own and use and having fun with it during the weekend is gonna be amazing with that manual.

Personally, I would go with the white or possibly the light blue color you considered. I’ve always had black vehicles. But this Porsche is so beautiful I don’t think flat black does it justice to showcase the beautiful design of this vehicle. The lines and curves get lost in black. But no matter what, I’m excited for you, and it’s going to be beautiful no matter what. I’m grateful that you have the opportunity to enjoy these vehicles and believe I will as well. Shore blue looks class. Black is somewhat 🥱 and can be had on any car. As can white of course but the 911 does look good in white. If it was me and out of those three colours it would be shore blue. Have fun deciding!

I wouldn't go for black :
1) Black kills the curves of the body of the car. People wear black to look slimmer for the same reason, it melts everything together. You don't want to do that with a 911.
2) With black you lose the contrast against the plastic bits, mainly in the bumpers. Those are also features to be appreciated. They provide depth to the design.
3) Black gets dirty the second you leave the car wash.
4) Black gets the nastiest scratches, that you wouldn't even notice on a lighter color.
5) Black is a boring plain color, not suited for such a wonderful release. This is the reason why I would also not go for the white. Get something special.

I couldn’t think of anything worse than driving a GT3 RS on public roads for several thousand miles. Just too focused and harsh for my liking, everything dialled up to ten and the thought of driving it on normal roads, with ‘that’ suspension is unpalatable to say the least.
Sure they look great, get rave press, and are quick around a circuit but I suspect the novelty would wear off very quickly, just as in this instance.
A Turbo ‘S’, with all the interior trimmings (sunroof, climate seats, nose lift, top hi-fi, matrix lights, cameras, chrono, heated wheel and exclusive interior) would be my first choice. The ‘S’ is mega at 6/10 with bags of torque low down, driving something at 10/10 and 9,000rpm doesn’t interest me at all, it’s tiring.
To me not a contest.
Black exterior, Boss sound system, rear red lights.
It’s classy and it will go well with the touring ethos of the car, despite being an S/T

White brings out all the details so much nicer and looks better than black in 90% real world conditions. Black only looks good on a cloudy day perfectly clean.
Red taillight for the nice contrast in the back.
Bose is one of those “some people must have it” (e.g. me) options that are near impossible to add after the fact and is a mere £1.2k check box.
