"Burning all the witches" is actually also a reference to her song "I Did Something Bad", which you HAVE TO react to, 1st the studio version and then the live version (it's important to have BOTH, each has a different impact).

Supposedly "dark" Taylor is how the media portrays her (eating men, breaking hearts, etc.). White or light Taylor, in the glass, is the real Taylor, trying to always break out of the boxes we put her in. Her power finally comes out in that note where she destroys dark Taylor, and goes up the staircase "victorious"! And '91 is the year Joe, Taylor's long-time ex was born. Great job.

As always a great break down of it! 89 & 91 are the years her and Joe Alwyn were born. She hid lyrics through the video including burning all the witches of other songs from Rep as this was only the second single released.
I think that the cage is a visual metaphor (she loves them) of all the previous versions of herself having to teach the next one. So Fearless taught Speak Now that people will criticise you for having co-writers so Speak Now was completely self written. Red taught 1989 that people will criticise too many songs about heart break so 1989 was her having fun moving to New York with her friends. This was her breaking the cycle and realising after what happened with Kanye that there will always be people criticising but as long as she's happy then they can't hurt her anymore.
Also once again voting for This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

I always thought the naked doll Taylor was a reference to the sleeping naked wax doll in Kanye’s music video, but I just now realized I don’t know how long after Kanye released the song he released the MV… Hm. I like if it IS a reference, though, you know? ‘Oh, so you presented me as a naked doll fast asleep? Well, in my video I’ll be a naked doll who shatters the glass ceiling and tears the world apart.’

I loved your reaction to the video! I'd be thrilled to see your reaction to the Brazilian singer Gabriel Henrique's rendition of the song ' Earth Song’. He recently participated in the AGT show and has an incredible voice.😊❤

As a Chiefs fan and not a Swiftie, mostly because of my age, I've been watching a few reaction videos on her-reaction because I have no idea about the stories behind it.
This isn't a new video but just thought I'd mention that the 89 & 91 at the beginning represent Taylor and Joe Alwyn. She "sings" about being older and being a robber (cradle robber?) so it took a quick Google search to see what year he was born.
Your videos are very helpful to someone finding a deep respect for Taylor's talent while hoping she doesn't have to write any more breakup/heartbreak songs from personal experience!

I'm loving how you're breaking down these tracks. You should watch the live version from the Reputation Tour, she's even better live. Also Don't Blame Me live from the same tour is a whole other vibe.

Yes! This is what I’ve been waiting for you to react to since you are the only one who I know knows deep dive into music. A lot of “reactors” are making fun of the music video without really knowing what's the real meaning behind it.

I've never listened to much of her stuff, but I can't deny this is pretty good. Although not my typical style, I wouldn't change the station if it came on.
Also, talking about the Asian influence, I hear some BlackPink sound in there.

I love your reactions. I don't understand a lot of pop culture references, so many that Taylor slips into her songs go over my head 😂 you explain them brilliantly though, so I'm understanding her music a lot more thanks to your reactions! Thank you 😊
Also, that "They're burning all the witches" is from her song "I Did Something Bad". I've checked your reactions, and I don't think you've reacted to that one yet? If you haven't, I definitely recommend the live version for the AMA's or her Reputation tour, both are amazing 😄

The 89 easter egg was when she would release the 1989 Taylor's Version album. She dropped it August 9th last year (8th month, 9th day). I LOVE her Easter eggs!!! So much fun.
