Please do Dress by Taylor swift
tolerare it. the lyricism and storytelling is insane in this one.
reacts to an album. Reputation first
Can you please do Mezzanine by Anybis, VIKTUS and Gedeon? Or Lost Girls by Nova Rockafeller?
Please do ALL TOO WELL (10 minutes version )
knox is in his rep era
It's a good era tbh
It's a very hiphop inspired era.
He is so rep coded
eyy I see what you did there
I would LOVE to see him in his folklore era
on her tour, this song is one of the most hyped of the night. the lights go out, snakes appear on stage, her heels click, the beat drops, and the crowd goes fucking wild. 10/10 experience.
Ikr!! Ready for it, don't blame me, lwymmd are the coolest songs in the eras tour concert movie. The music, the guitar!, the snakes, her dancing, everything was amazing!!!
When she did that live, it was like an out of body experience - unreal. Such an amazing performance.
fucking life changing
For real… one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to
If you like the “Bonnie and Clyde” type message I really recommend “getaway car” that’s a really good song of hers
YES!😊
I agree
Yessss
Yes
it’s a banger… recommendation: Getaway Car x Cruel Summer transition ✨✨
What I always love is how much breadth you have in your pop culture references. I’m always disappointed when people don’t register the “Burton to this Taylor” line-I’m so glad you noticed and appreciated it!
Knox is Hip Hop…this is child’s play to him.
i always thought it said " virgin to this taylor" as in like he's been in relationships but never met or been with someone like taylor but now that I know the meaning behind burton LMAO Idk i like both versions.
I thought it said "button to this tailor". I mean, it could be a double jaja
LMAO I LOVE THAT ONE HAHAA. PERSONALLY i always heard it as "virgin to this taylor" @@georginamoreira6723
I honestly always thought it was a reference to Tim Burton so that it was like Burton to this Tale since he does movies. I'm loving all the different ways it can be interpreted. Her mind
"Burning all the witches" is actually also a reference to her song "I Did Something Bad", which you HAVE TO react to, 1st the studio version and then the live version (it's important to have BOTH, each has a different impact).
As always, love your reaction, I could listen to you breaking down Taylor's songs for HOURS! (I believe that might actually happen if you get into folklore and/or evermore!)
Sending lots of love and support! 🖤💜🖤
I have to say that when it comes to the live version I like the reputation concert tour best. And it is even better when people combine this and I did something bad together from that tour. This is such a good opening number for it.
100% agree! I literally JUST came to his page to request a reaction to “I did something bad”. Reputation tour performance was AMAZING!
the live version of "I did something bad" from her Reputation stadium tour is the one to react to for sure.
Yes!! IDSB is the best live performance ever!!! The AMA performance is top tier!!!
You’re one of the only reactors I’ve ever seen understand the “burton to this Taylor” line. It’s so genius. Thank you!!
Came here to say this! I love the way she wrote last great American dynasty too, the way she wraps everything into here story lines.
I always wonder how many people actually understand that reference!! Thank you!
The way she’s say it is so cool and good
I super appreciate how you just got right into the video, no 5 minute intro, nothing to introduce yourself. It's extremely rare these days and I found it refreshing!
Supposedly "dark" Taylor is how the media portrays her (eating men, breaking hearts, etc.). White or light Taylor, in the glass, is the real Taylor, trying to always break out of the boxes we put her in. Her power finally comes out in that note where she destroys dark Taylor, and goes up the staircase "victorious"! And '91 is the year Joe, Taylor's long-time ex was born. Great job.
Thanks for that last line, I was just about to search if any of TS’s exes were born in 1991!
The same media that made fun of her for years for getting dumped.
0:30 91 is the year joe alwyn was born (her boyfriend at the time, the albums reputation and lover are basically about him)
It’s a 1989 Easter egg. The 91 is flipped
I love the perspective on "touch me and you'll never be alone." I never thought about it in the context of the media, but with songs like peace, that would make so much sense.
"I did something bad"by. Taylor Swift is also an amazing song from Rep. I def recommend giving that one a listen.
Yes but the Live version!
Yes! Live!
@@pamelamcfarland9057 maybe a double feature with both versions in the possible video? I dunno
He just reacted to it 😊
@@aileean19 I watched it this morning. He should do the non live version too. Both versions are really good.
“They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one” that’s one of my favorite lyrics from another of her songs. ❤
i hope knox eventually listen to folklore and evermore because he's so into lyrics 🥲
YESSSSS 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯
I’ve watched dozens of artist “react” to Taylor Swift, you by far nailed the message Taylor was laying out better than anyone. Thanks
Your ability to get her metaphors are SO good. Unlike anyone else. Also love the ability to explain the actual musical changes. #1 out there!
In the behind the scenes for this video, she said something like "If I forget the lyrics for my new album, they're all on the walls." I love her sense of humor
NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE gives us insight and understanding into lyrics and video design BETTER than this guy!! Thank you so much!! 🙌
I have a few suggestions if you liked this one! From the same album, reputation, I'd recommend Delicate (there's music video) and Call It What You Want. But if you're looking for seriously amazing lyricism I recommend songs like Cardigan (there's music video), My Tears Ricochet, Willow (music video) or Champagne Problems
Woo I like this one! It’s pretty cool how many different sounds and genres she’s covered over the years. And yep, lots of easter eggs to uncover! These are really enjoyable; thanks for breaking these down!
not sure if this is accurate, but '89 was for taylor's birth year, while '91 is her boyfriend's, at that time, birth year. reputation actually is about romance despite all the bad things happening to her, in my opinion.
can't wait to see more of your reactions and breakdowns to her songs. it gives me a fresh perspective of taylor's creative mind. ❤
I appreciate how you voice your interpretations/understanding of the art you react to. In other words, I'm glad you express thoughts about it rather than just standing there, going, "Wow, this is cool!"
Totally agree with this. He is always so mindful.
My favourite from her.
Dude, you always pick up on dozens of things I missed!!
This song goes hard with that chorus like let the games begin line. gives a little bounce to my step when it comes on in the headphones lol
Wow, that was a seriously frick'n cool video - I love how reaction videos encourage a person to listen to different artists. I was never anti T. Swift, but you're definitely drawing my attention to her in a good way.
funny you mentioned the bonny and clyde comparison, cuz she directly references that in getaway car (another song from the same album). you should react to that next, it’s got some brilliant metaphors related to crime! amazing analysis and reaction on this one btw
No 😢
AHHH you caught the Burton to the Taylor line! So many don't. I shouldn't be surprised, because you always catch the references, but this particular one made me so happy!
You always bring the best out of these videos! Thanks for reaching into each lyric to bring meaning!
hip-hop head and lifelong metal chick here… who has also been a swiftie since day 1 when “tim mcgraw” came out back in 06. i am so here for you diving into more of t-swizzle’s discography 💜
Knox, you need to check out one of her b-sides called Champagne Problems. It’s a master class in storytelling. The lyrics are outstanding 💜
EXCELLENT REQUEST 👏 Hope he takes it.
So impressed again Knox. I'm not a Taylor fan, but as usual that doesn't matter. You're education in many various topics make your reactions top tier💙🇦🇺
Taylor should definitely make more rap-ish songs.
You absolutely have to do a reaction to wildest dreams! It’s perfection and the main Easter egg in that song is that the heartbeat that plays in it, is Taylor’s actual heartbeat.
KH is officially a Swifty!! I am here for this!💚🤗🍀
Taylor needs to see your reactions. You pick up on all of her Easter eggs, the nuances in the production, the lyrics. You can tell you appreciate everything she puts in to her songs, videos and performances. She would love it!! (I don’t know her of course…but I still think she’d love to see your reactions!).
YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO All Too Well (10 min version). It’s a song about when she dated a narcissist and she spends the entire song reminding herself that despite his gaslighting, what she felt and what happened was real. It’s so powerful. Watch the short film if you can.
He did ❤️ and loved it ❤️❤️❤️
He got all the lyrics!!
pleeeeeeeeeeese do one of her songs off of evermore. Marjorie is about her late grandmother and at the line "I hear you singing" her grandmas vocals are there. Tolerate it and Champagne Problems will absolutely gut you but in a good way. They clean out the hurt so good.
I haven't read through all the comments but I haven't seen anyone mention that Elizabeth Taylor was also the star in the William Shakespeare movie interpretation of the Taming of the Shrew. This could be another cryptic message when she says she's "so tame now". God I love her lyrics and storytelling. I'm kind of a new Swiftie but diving in head first.
Your interpretation of "touch me and you'll never be alone" is SO accurate and also relevant to Travis Kelce right now!
She is so EPIC!!! Gawd, I can't with this!!! I really appreciate your dissection of her lyrics!!!
As always a great break down of it! 89 & 91 are the years her and Joe Alwyn were born. She hid lyrics through the video including burning all the witches of other songs from Rep as this was only the second single released.
I think that the cage is a visual metaphor (she loves them) of all the previous versions of herself having to teach the next one. So Fearless taught Speak Now that people will criticise you for having co-writers so Speak Now was completely self written. Red taught 1989 that people will criticise too many songs about heart break so 1989 was her having fun moving to New York with her friends. This was her breaking the cycle and realising after what happened with Kanye that there will always be people criticising but as long as she's happy then they can't hurt her anymore.
Also once again voting for This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
I always thought the naked doll Taylor was a reference to the sleeping naked wax doll in Kanye’s music video, but I just now realized I don’t know how long after Kanye released the song he released the MV… Hm. I like if it IS a reference, though, you know? ‘Oh, so you presented me as a naked doll fast asleep? Well, in my video I’ll be a naked doll who shatters the glass ceiling and tears the world apart.’
But maybe it’s not. I want to live in lala land if I’m wrong, so I’m not gonna google it. 😂
So I’ve been a swiftie forever and you finally made this make sense. Like I knew this, but connecting it
@@AllysonKing This encouraged me to actually google it, and her music video came out four months after his, so I think it MUST be a direct response… Glad I don’t need to live in lala land, haha.
Of all the reactions I've watched, and I've watched a lot, you are the first person who got the Burton/Taylor line! 😀 You are really good at breaking down the metaphors, etc!
INTRO + READY FOR IT - REPUTATION STADIUM TOUR - LIVE - It is a whole new level of this song.
Just started listening to her to see what the fuss was about. This song live was amazing on Miss Americana on Netflix I have Mad respect after seeing that.
Her reputation album is absolutly worth watching live... love seeing your tay reactions though knox.
YES ! i was hoping this would come next! this is one of the rare songs, that legit give me goosebumps. when that happens, it is worth saying !what a song! 🔥
❤
Joe Alwyn was born in 91'. "All eyes on us" is a reference to how public their relationship was.
You're my favorite music reaction channel. The way you break it all down, the awesome knowledge, the excellent attention to detail! You're the whole package, the very best!!!
You should see her performance of this live
Where has he been all my life!? I love his take on this it's my fave!
I usually can’t stand reaction vids especially with Taylor songs, but you absolutely lifted every part of the song/video/her up and genuinely enjoying it. Good on you dude! Glad I stumbled upon this.
Damn, this is another banger for Taylor. Never been the biggest fan, but she is growing on me. Fab break down fella.
"all eyes on us" is from her song "So It Goes". It's in the Rep album as well
You need to see "I Did Something Bad" and "Don't Blame Me" live from the Reputation stadium tour!!
As a dedicated swiftie and addict for reaction videos, you make me look at stuff in a whole new way!!! Love it!
GREED! He has a logical common sense depth.
I love your Taylor reactions, they're so insightful
Great analysis! Reaction videos don't normally go into any depth at all. First time hearing you and I thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Oh I'm glad you did this one! Her voice man fn insane! Haven't heard such a beautiful voice since Rihanna and Beyonce
HOW DO YOU FIND MEANING IN LITERALLY EVERYTHING I'm such a swifitie but when I tell you that every lyric ALWAYS goes over my head LOOOL thanks for explaining haha taylor is just a master lyricist way beyond my comprehension
That's amazing how deeply you analyse and understand this!
I've only started to look into her music more this year, I was never a fan of most of her catchy singles but I realized how much more there is that I'm into now and I love the rep album as well.
LOVING your taylor content, keep it coming plz!!!
good job !!!
you have lovely energy !!
keep up the good work !!!!!
and thank you !!!
Dude great analysis and pacing. On my way to becoming a Patreon fan!
I'm a new subscriber. I love your reactions to the Taylor Swift songs and videos. That's what actually got me to your Channel. I really love how you break it all down. You're a genius on what different versus could mean. Wow you truly are amazing
Damnation, Knox, Knoxville here again.. You are the man! You really have a talent for figuring out the parts that I missed. I hope you analyze all her songs. She definitely is a wordsmith.
Love your reactions and how you pick up on all the details!!
I loved your reaction to the video! I'd be thrilled to see your reaction to the Brazilian singer Gabriel Henrique's rendition of the song ' Earth Song’. He recently participated in the AGT show and has an incredible voice.😊❤
As a Chiefs fan and not a Swiftie, mostly because of my age, I've been watching a few reaction videos on her-reaction because I have no idea about the stories behind it.
This isn't a new video but just thought I'd mention that the 89 & 91 at the beginning represent Taylor and Joe Alwyn. She "sings" about being older and being a robber (cradle robber?) so it took a quick Google search to see what year he was born.
Your videos are very helpful to someone finding a deep respect for Taylor's talent while hoping she doesn't have to write any more breakup/heartbreak songs from personal experience!
You should react to her AMA performance of I think I did something bad. It’s so cool and interesting
I'm loving how you're breaking down these tracks. You should watch the live version from the Reputation Tour, she's even better live. Also Don't Blame Me live from the same tour is a whole other vibe.
🎉
Gotta get you to do Taylor Swift's All Too Well - The Short Film.
I really hope he does so much!
i recommend reacting to the Reputation live stadium tour performance of this! AMAZING!
I don’t think Taylor has ever done anything I don’t love, she muti talented for sure ❤ thanks for covering her Knox, love u to ❤
9:45 that is referring to So it goes.
OMG! The Richard Burton Liz Taylor connection - I hadn’t heard anyone else pick that up!!!!
I love your breakdown of her videos. I'm 43 and the more and more I see Talyors stuff the more I love her as an artist.
A bust out laugh - "That's the way I look when they tell me the McFlurry machine is broken again" Lol
Thank you for checking this one out! Getaway Car is also so good!
Yes! This is what I’ve been waiting for you to react to since you are the only one who I know knows deep dive into music. A lot of “reactors” are making fun of the music video without really knowing what's the real meaning behind it.
Imagine that Ready for it? and Champagne problems are songs by one person, the versatility
I love your reactions so much and the analytics of the lyrics. Thank you !
I've never listened to much of her stuff, but I can't deny this is pretty good. Although not my typical style, I wouldn't change the station if it came on.
Also, talking about the Asian influence, I hear some BlackPink sound in there.
I love your reactions. I don't understand a lot of pop culture references, so many that Taylor slips into her songs go over my head 😂 you explain them brilliantly though, so I'm understanding her music a lot more thanks to your reactions! Thank you 😊
Also, that "They're burning all the witches" is from her song "I Did Something Bad". I've checked your reactions, and I don't think you've reacted to that one yet? If you haven't, I definitely recommend the live version for the AMA's or her Reputation tour, both are amazing 😄
You gotta do more of these!
I really appreciate how insightful all your reactions are 🙌😀
The 89 easter egg was when she would release the 1989 Taylor's Version album. She dropped it August 9th last year (8th month, 9th day). I LOVE her Easter eggs!!! So much fun.
You are the only reactor who actually interprets her videos accurately, taking in all the details and catching easter eggs! I've never seen another RUclipsr catch the Burton and Taylor line! It makes your videos much more fun to watch 🫶🏻
i think you should check out some of her live stuff
Just found this dudes channel and he’s already my favorite 😂
bro you really break it down. nice you got Burton to this Taylor! also Burton is a clothing line that a taylor might, you know do taylor things to.
❤
Knox can dissect absolutely anything. Goat level
For someone who doesn't know a whole lot about Taylor, your analysis is amazing!
Thank you for connecting dots, your great
Another great analysis
Amazing video. I'm blown away by how quickly you pick up all these little Easter eggs and references she makes!
love your insights! have watched alot of 'reactors' but you knox are BY FAR my fave.... fun how you walk thru the songs... and btw please always name the cameos cuz i don't know them but may have heard of them.... i like to hear that detail... THANKS you are cool...
"They're burning all the witches" is a reference to another song on the album: I Did Something Bad
Which is also a bop so you should check it out.
If you’re gonna keep doing Taylor my 2 favorites are “ours” and “timeless” both are really sweet love songs that I think you’ll like
Keep going in the Reputation era! “Don’t blame me” and “I did something bad” won’t disappoint
