I have listened to “I Need A Minute”. I’m a new subscriber (Came from Swift Nation) and I am not on Patreon or anything else right now. But PLEASE go to your video and read my really long post! I want you to you to know my reaction to your song and just how much you helped me and others out. You don’t really seem the arrogant, pat yourself on the back type. You seem very humble. Yes! Reputation Stadium Tour movie: "Don't Blame Me" ruclips.net/video/seOJleBbf-U/видео.html Don't Blame Me is also fantastic in the Eras Tour movie, but I don't know of any good quality video clips for that yet.
@@juanjeanjohnful I actually disagree. I haven’t seen the movie yet, so I can only go off my memory and the video on my phone. But I think she had slightly better runs on the rep tour. I’m my opinion, it is not significantly better, but it is slightly.
If I hadn’t seen several of your other reactions, I would have thought it impossible that this was the first time you were hearing this song. Accurately predicting “flames” and burning witches at the stake?! C’mon man! You’re TOO good at this!
I once watched him near-perfectly deconstruct Blood Sweat & Tears by BTS, a 6 minute long music video with references to psychology concepts, mythology, artwork/art history, and theology. It blew me away; his insight is always so sharp
I have always liked Taylors lyrics. I love how self aware and real she is. She really is an amazing live performer too. The thing is it feel real and not like she is just up there performing because she has to, it feels like she wants to.
Yes! She wanted this. She wasn’t given it. This is why she is still a success. She IS making history. To this day I still want to have her guitar skills. It is what is making stand out and as it should ;)
“Intro + Ready for it” From the same tour!! That’s how she walked up in that piece! What’s wild is that all the ppl you hear talking shit about her in the intro…Taylor invited them to the show so they got a front row seat to Taylor having the last word! Ya know… learn with a metaphor or a 2 by 4😂 Thanks man Keep shining✨
I was just telling someone that if Taylor Swift did the Super Bowl half-time show and it was anything even close to Reputation, there’d be an influx of new fans.
I did get to see her in the Eras tour this year, and I scored tickets for a show next year too, and will be forever grateful for that, BUT, my biggest regret is not scoring tickets to Reputation, bc I missed out on this performance. This live performance IMO, is one of her absolute best, and I can’t imagine seeing this live! It really is a whole experience with every song she does live, she’s the best performer ever!
I actually preferred the Rep tour live. It was the biggest craziest show I have ever been to and the Eras felt like a let down in comparison to be honest.
I fully believe this song was about Calvin Harris, bc he denied her working on his album and said he “couldn’t see himself” working with her and she famously then cheated on him with Tom Hiddleston, of which I don’t think she’s even a little sorry for 😂 bc if a man talks shit then she owes him nothing.
It's absolutely about him. The lightning in the background is the same used in the 'This is what you came for' music video. It was for sure a dig. As it should be. I also think the song is very fitting for the kim/kayne bs that sent her to write Reputation
4:09 I think that’s why her concert tickets are so pricey, it’s not just a regurgitation of her albums but it’s a whole production and experience. My 17 year old niece has gone to two of her concerts and she LOVED them. She’s a swiftie of course.
taylors reputation era is when i fell in love with her talent. and her humanity. i always liked her music, it was poppy, catchy etc... then rep came out and i saw the movie and was FLOORED. knowing what she went through, and come back with THAT was like..... whoa.. i respected her after that... now, im a full blown swifty. ill admit it proudly. shes amazing in so many ways.
I’ve never paid much attention to Taylor Swift, but watched the 1989 concert tour video and was blown away. What an amazingly talented lady she is! The whole thing was probably the most awesome concert I’ve ever watched &, at 68, I’ve watched & attended A LOT of concerts. From what I’ve seen, following how impressed I was with her musical talents, she’s also a truly nice, decent & genuinely kind human being. A very nice surprise to find such a superstar in these current climes...or ever.
Same! I knew a few songs here and there from the radio. When people started freaking out because she wanted to play genres outside of country, it piqued my interest to see how different it would sound. I listened to 1989 on Apple music when it was released and I was hooked!! I listened to it on repeat and now, Taylor is not only my all time favorite musician, she’s my all time favorite celebrity. She’s so incredibly talented, giving, generous, kind, and an amazing person. She gets so much hate from people that she doesn’t deserve. ♥️💔♥️
I literally live 5min from the So-Fi Stadium and I was able to hear her concert from my house. They had an AMAZING sound system if I could hear it clearly.
The great thing about Taylor swift is that she never performs the same show twice. She sings different songs at each one, but she also edits the songs. Like this rendition is very different than the song on the album but it’s so good!
I also vote for Don't Blame Me for the next one. To me, it's her best live performance. Because of your background and skills, I have to recommend the Making of a Song series - it shows her writing and producing this album and it's equal parts impressive and fascinating. For some reason, the Making of Don't Blame Me isn't included but there's video of that too. Also!! the Lover in Paris concert (Death By a Thousand Cuts & Cornelia Street acoustic).
I was fortunate enough to go to the Reputation tour in London in 2018 - and boy was an EXPERIENCE. I’m going to get Eras Tour in Edinburgh next year and I can’t wait! To your point about referencing the colour red - she’s known for using colours as allegories for emotion, and named one of her most emotional albums “Red”. She said it’s because the colour red is used to describe love, romance, passion, excitement, but also anger, rage, betrayal, and hurt - and that everything her Red album is about.
She puts her all into every performance. Her Reputation Tour was the best concert I have ever been to, by far, for any genre of music. It really was like a Super Bowl halftime show for most of the songs, and even better for some songs. Amazing. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the Eras Tour.
Fun fact about this song: the "ratatatatata" that you hear is actually Taylor singing that!! She said that she had a dream about it and recorder it in her phone and then she put that on the song haha
Seeing the dancers flat out on the stage like that, chests heaving up and down just makes me think they must love that bit. A moment to lay down and catch their breath for a second- they work HARD!
i WISH she sang the song like THIS on the record. it's one of my top 5 on Rep but it would be even more amazing with that belting! "he tells me threeeeeee."
What's amazing is the Reputation Concert was insane with the lights and the stage ect.. But watching it now, it seems smaller because of how bigger the Eras tour is!
Please do all songs from this tour.. you’ll be blown how big of a artist she is and i bet you’ll wanna go to her one of the concerts for sure.. its a life time experience 💜
You mention “that stadium is rocking”. Yes the crowds go bonkers wherever the show is but whenever Taylor plays in California the amount of sound between her, the band & mostly the crowd jumping around actually measures on the equipment they have for checking for earthquakes. The eras tour hit 3.5 in LA I think it was
Epic! I had never seen this performance. I was peripherally a Swiftie through my daughter's, early on. I am on a Swiftie journey with her later stuff and I'm enjoying your commentary.
One could argue that all concerts are life changing experiences, and while I would agree to some degree, there definitely are ones that stand out as being 'next level'. I've been lucky enough to have been to a few like that, and after being to 4 of Taylor's different concerts: Speak Now, RED, 1989 and Reputation, I can tell you that both RED and Reputation are both concerts that were game changing. Personally, I think I liked RED better, mostly because it was a smaller venue and it was the turning point where Taylor began to fuse different genres of music together. She was close enough to touch during RED, (the pit where I was was basically right against the side of the stage,) and she sang down to me a couple times during the show. Reputation, being there live in the pit, was absolutely amazing, but she was also further away, the venue was just too big, and although it was much more of a spectacle, it also felt less intimate. She did sing down to me a couple times still though, which was sweet of her. (I had gotten a hug from her at the first concert I attended, Speak Now, when she still used to walk through the entire crowd from the main stage to the b-stage.) I have to admit though, as much as I hated the massive venue, her presentation, the atmosphere and her vocals were perfectly on point. As good as they sound on recordings and in videos, I think her voice actually sounds better when you are actually there live. Although I'm going to miss the Eras tour, due to just how expensive concerts have gotten, how getting good tickets is either impossible or requires so much work, and the fact that she isn't coming back to Vancouver, I am extremely glad I went to those concerts and got to witness this live and up close. She is as amazing as she appears.
These big stadium shows are amazing…especially Reputation. It was the most fun thing I’ve ever seen live. I loved it more than the Eras tour honestly. But I would give anything to see Taylor just playing instruments with a band. I would love for you to watch “Cornelia Street” Live from Paris. That’s the Taylor I love the most.
