“this is a great concert song” ok now you guys HAVE to react to the entire reputation tour in concert movie i’m sorry😭😭 like it is an entire EXPERIENCE
i just find it cool to point out that the sound of taylor clearnig her throat in the beggining of Ready for It, the first track in reputation, is to symbolize someone who's about to speak up after a long time being silent. This is a direct reference of her context at that time, since she went out of public eye for a year before releasing that album because of the scalation of the kanye situation and everybody, including the mass media, deciding she was a bad person
Taylor used to do these things called “Secret Sessions” where she would invite fans to her house to listen to the album before it came out. When she played Dress her mom would leave the room because… well, you know 😂
@@nassercabelo3330she stopped doing it because fans stole soaps and things, sadly she probably had to do it on a hotel but the whole thing was she in her house showing her biggest fans
Ready For It is about the insecurity she felt falling in love with Joe Alwayn knowing that the fact that she is extremely famous could be a problem for this relationship. She is talking about plans she has for hiding in islands, about running away with him. when she says "touch me and you'll never be alone", it's because she knows the guy is gonna be followed by paparazzi all the time. Never be alone. Always hiding, always running, and she's asking if he's ready to deal with this.
So much of the fandom hates end game but it’s such a good song 😭 reputation is a no skip album for me. It’s so good. I would love to see you guys react to Ed Sheeran’s song “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You” if you’ve never heard it before. It’s from his first album and he raps on it
I LOVED E.G. Actually, I lived Reputation. It was a woman falling in love. It was fun, sensual, and following up with Lover, such a lovely development for her.
I love "dress" and the concert version is just everything. When she says " say my name and everything just stops" the silence and black out after it is the moment.
I never got it why I like (why we like) watching new people react and then fall in love with Taylor’s music. Some do it for clout 🥴 and we see through it. Now I get it - WE WANT TO REEXPERIENCE DISCOVERING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME THROUGH THEM. We want to relive hearing the music for the first time with them. ❤
I agree completely but I also love seeing other peoples tales and feelings on songs. I think also hearing people understand and give her props just makes me feel understood and better about the world
Reputation is really that girl! You guys will love it. I did something bad and don’t blame me are iconic especially live from the reputation stadium tour 💕
Btw, Ed Sheeran's part in End Game is about the time he met up with an old childhood friend, Cherry Seaborn at one of Taylor's Fourth of July parties whom he later went on to marry and have two kids with. In Dress, when Taylor says, "flashback when you met me, your buzzcut and my hair bleached" she's talking about the first time her and Joe Alwyn met at the Met Gala in 2016. You can look up pics of them from that time and see the hairstyles she's referring to. He had just finished a film where he played a soldier and she had just done a photo shoot with Vogue where they cut and bleached her hair.
Isn't this song about Karlie kloss, when she had to buzz cut her met gala dress after she got red wine spilled on it.. i dont want you like a best friend..... also listen to Maroon... 😊
The line goes "flashback when you met me" because that's the night she and Joe first met. She was friends with Karlie for years before that, so that doesn't fit. She dropped her as a friend because Karlie was going on holidays with Scooter Braun despite what he did to Taylor. There are pictures...and Taylor is too big on loyalty to put up with that. Kloss also maintained her friendship with Kendall Jenner, who supported her sister Kim when she and Kanye were lying and making up stories about Taylor, calling her a snake on social media. Kendell also dated Harry so, another stab in the back. So, no, it's not about Kloss. @@leeannemcewan640
Reputation is the REAL love album. It's all about how when she met Joe her rep was so bad but she was ready to be with him no matter what, and he was able to see her for who she really is. This album was her liberation from all the shit that was being said about her, and in the end Taylor just getting her power back.
Ok so hear us out…y’all gotta do AT LEAST ready for it on the rep stadium tour. Now imagine that main character vibe as she walks down that runway stage. Her walk alone is everything!

here's what taylor said ab ready for it: "It kind of introduces a metaphor you may hear more of throughout the rest album, which is like this kind of Crime and Punishment metaphor, where it talks about robbers, and thieves, and heists, and all that. I found that to be a really interesting metaphor, but twisted in different ways throughout the album. The way that’s presented in ‘…Ready For It?’ is basically, finding your partner in crime, and it’s like ‘Oh my god we’re the same, we’re the same, oh my god! Let’s rob banks together, this is great!’ And you will hear that kind of theme carried on throughout the rest of the record, but not exactly in the same way that you heard in ‘…Ready For It?’" also, there's a music video for end game that's sick and there's also a behind-the-scenes video where she talks with ed about the song and the meaning behind his verse:) alsoalso, you guys should watch her documentary, miss americana. it'll explain both reputation and lover :)

I love how Taylor says smth in the beginning of the song to make you think, uses beautiful lyrics to explain what she means, then says it again at the end now that you understand it. She a lyrical genius
A lot of reputation is her playing a character, kind of reclaiming the rumors and image that the media and haters have painted of her. She started doing this type of concept with Blank Space and it’s just brilliant. I Did Something Bad is another great character song!

You have to watch Ed perform with Eminem. They performed Lose Yourself together at Ed’s concert. Ed attributes that record to the reason he got over his stutter.
To me Ready for it describes taylor as she's getting back to dating as a 'serial dater'. Except, this time the relationship will be different. Not just a fling, and she can feel it. This song is her warning her lover about her reputation and at the same time confessing that ths time it's not going to be that kind of a relationship. Ready for it prepares us for the rest of the album, which was a completely different style musically compared to her previous ones. At the same time, it tells us that this is not a breakup album. It's a head over heels one. A relationship where she's so afraid of the person leaving her due to her reputation, where she's been humbled by the way people viewed her as a snake and so someone liking her even with this image must be feeling something special.
These song live are even better This was a comeback album. She even cleared her throat at the start of ready for it. You'll enjoy the visuals of those live performances too
Most of the reputation album including ready for it?, endgame and dress are about her ex boyfriend Joe Alwyn. They were together for more than 6 years (broke up a couple of months ago). They fell in love when she had been cancelled by the media and her reputation was ruined. It’s an amazing story.
You need to understand the context surrounding the Reputation album to fully understand the track Ready For It. In 2016 her public feud with Kanye blew up, surrounding the song "Famous" that explicitly states "I made that bitch famous" in reference to Taylor. When very clearly upset about this situation, Kim K released footage of the phone call that occurred between West and Swift before the release of Famous. This call's footage and audio were edited to make it appear as though West had informed Swift of the lyrics in his song, and that she was on board (none of which occurred). This controversy TANKED Taylor's public perception and she was flooded with hate and statements calling her a 'snake' across the internet. Swift then disappeared from public view for almost an entire year, not being seen in public, by paparazzi, or fans anywhere. Then, one day in August of 2017, Swift deleted every single photo from her instagram and wiped her profile of everything but her name and posted a singular video of a lunging snake. She then dropped the lead single off of the Reputation album "Look What You Made Me Do". Ready For It, being the very first track on the album is about finally facing the lies, allegations, and rumors that have drowned her career and reputation for the last year. When she sings "baby let the games begin", she is referencing to the foul-played feud with the West's and Kardashian's. When she is talking about her lover in the song, she is speaking of Joe Alwyn, a British actor who got with Swift right before the controversy and stuck by her side throughout it. The couple separated in early 2023.
i gotta say, you guys make my favourite taylor swift reaction videos (and i've watched A LOT). your reactions are so genuine and relatable and entertaining and i find myself smiling everytime i watch and rewatch it. its an instant moodbooster and i come back to your videos a lot. so thank you for making these! i look forward to more! also pls the very unconvincing "no" when you asked if you were ever in a "i don't want you like a best friend situation" is so funny to me. and when you guys were looking around when taylor did the vocals. those were my favourite parts of the video
I came here to say the exact same thing about them being my favorite TS reaction channel (of which I have also watched A LOT 😂 it’s like all I do, I swear 😅), and very much agree with your instant mood booster sentiment. They both put a smile on my face every time and make me genuinely LOL, rewind, LOL again….and again and again. It’s that good energy I need. SO THANKS GUYS!! 😂😁🤗 keep ‘em coming, please and thank you s’much!!! 😊🙏🏼
I love watching creative men in other genres listen to her work. That lip bite YOU GET IT!!!!, also I use to skip endgame but I won’t now you’re dead on its 🔥🔥 (past me was “wrong”).
You are cracking me up with those two "oops, I didn't mean THAT" moments in dress 😂😂 16:03 and 20:10 Keep going with Reputation honestly, just so a few songs at a time and do the whole album. Maybe do studio and Rep tour video clips paired?
Just as a background for u guys to better understand this album. Kanye west had made the song famous and included lyrics that Taylor didn’t like and that he didn’t mention to her. She later said online I never heard or approved of this lyric, and then Kim released a secretly recorded phone call which she edited to make it sound like Taylor knew the song and she is just trying to act like the victim(the phone call was later released and ts wasn’t lying about certain lyric not being told to her) and then Kim was calling her a snake which caused everyone to bully her online. She later went off the internet for three years, then came back with this album reputation.
I’m ready for it the line “Burton to this Taylor” was genuinely damn genius. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor’s relationship was tragic, iconic, intense, just everything.
Y’all crack me up. Thank you for doing these reactions, I’ve loved Tay since debut and to see the progression of her career as it happened was insane but you guys put me right back into the moment I first heard these songs with your reactions. It’s so entertaining, keep it up!
For anyone reading some context on the ED SHEEHAN front: Ed s known to rap and not only is he Taylor’s best and has A team as one of his first popular singles, his rap on this song actually refers to his own relationship. Taylor notoriously gives BIG 4th of July parties - his wife and mother of his kids met at school and once again later so when he says something happened in the 4th of July he means he actually called taylor after being with the girl again for a while to ask if she could be a date to her party. I’m not even sure if they’re still together but shit is CUTE
also to sort of clarify with why reputation feels so different from her other albums is because this was taylor's "come back" album. before reputation, a lot of drama happened with kanye/kim twisting things around on taylor and trying to publicly humiliate her (more than once). kim tweeted something implying that taylor was a snake, which resulted in thousands of kanye and kim fans to leave a bunch of snake emojis under all of taylor's pictures on instagram, as well as just harassing her for months. it was this huge thing, so taylor took a complete break from everything for over a year. she stopped using all of her social media platforms and kind of just disappeared from the public eye. and then she came back with reputation, and it was highly successful. that's why the album is named "reputation" because it's about how her reputation was destroyed, and her embracing that and coming back from it even stronger. in the reputation stadium tour movie on netflix (that i said in another comment that y'all should react to) she uses a lot of snake imagery/effects during the performance, making a comment on how all of kanye and kim's fans called her a snake. of course there's more to it than that, but i tried to sum it up as best as i could
I love these videos! Taylor is definitely the best songwriter of this century, and I'm so glad people are finally realizing it! Some more songs that I think you guys would love to react to are: I Did Something Bad, Getaway Car, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Don't Blame Me, I Know Places, Cruel Summer, False God, Karma, Maroon, Glitch, Hits Different, and Forever Winter.
I'm so annoyed because I set notifications for the channel but I'm still delayed 😭 but yassss new tay video thank you guys been having withdrawals from your videos ❤️ Thank you for appreciating our queens brilliance and for actually listening to the lyrics and learning the back story to understand what she's saying 🥰

End Game is my favorite song off the Reputation album. Taylor’s rap is sooooo good.
REPUTATION STADIUM TOUR
I can’t stress this enough
It will blow your mind 🐍 ✨
These song live are even better
This was a comeback album.
I also love how you can hear her use her breathe as a rhythm section on this album it has really inspired my work.
Call It What You Want, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, and New Year's Day 👀Y'all not ready
pretty much the whole rep album! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You are cracking me up with those two "oops, I didn't mean THAT" moments in dress 😂😂 16:03 and 20:10
Keep going with Reputation honestly, just so a few songs at a time and do the whole album. Maybe do studio and Rep tour video clips paired?
THISE TWO CLIPS ARE SO FUNNY LMAOOO THE SMIRKING TOO HAHAHHAHHA
You guys are gonna love the backgroud vocals from Dancin with our hands tied. So good!
The entirety of the Rep album is fire. You’re going to love it
finally you guys! dont take too long there are people that are dying..
Lmfaooo
Don’t blame me is the best she’s ever created in my opinion. Her reputation era is the best era🖤 no skips on this album
My 3 favorite songs off the album, packaged together so nicely they might as well be topped with a bow. My lucky day!
Its crazy to think how Taylor wrote these amazing songs for someone but he lost her 💔
STOP, you're losing me😢💀😭

Listening to people react to Taylor swift with a musical preference other than her style of music and appreciate it is so refreshing 🎉
As soon as I see u guys reacting to a new taylor song it's an INSTANT click
Yes, rep is her comeback album, she pops off the whole time. You guys are on it every time 🤌🏻

You two are so enjoyable. I have seen a lot of reactions and if they don't come from fun people, they fall flat. Thank you for filming this!!
Y’all crack me up. Thank you for doing these reactions, I’ve loved Tay since debut and to see the progression of her career as it happened was insane but you guys put me right back into the moment I first heard these songs with your reactions. It’s so entertaining, keep it up!
Lol I'm loving you guys figuring out the lore as you go through her songs, it's so fun feeling like you're cracking the code!
"i'm happy we're in a upbeat!taylor. she kinda poppin her ...... a little bit" lmao YES
I’m not even sure if they’re still together but shit is CUTE
they are still together! they’re married with two kids
These two are my new go-to reaction videos now.
Reputation is my favourite TS album so seeing this reactions are giving me so much lifeeeee 🖤

if you've loved dress you'll love call it what you want too🫀
also to sort of clarify with why reputation feels so different from her other albums is because this was taylor's "come back" album. before reputation, a lot of drama happened with kanye/kim twisting things around on taylor and trying to publicly humiliate her (more than once). kim tweeted something implying that taylor was a snake, which resulted in thousands of kanye and kim fans to leave a bunch of snake emojis under all of taylor's pictures on instagram, as well as just harassing her for months. it was this huge thing, so taylor took a complete break from everything for over a year. she stopped using all of her social media platforms and kind of just disappeared from the public eye. and then she came back with reputation, and it was highly successful. that's why the album is named "reputation" because it's about how her reputation was destroyed, and her embracing that and coming back from it even stronger. in the reputation stadium tour movie on netflix (that i said in another comment that y'all should react to) she uses a lot of snake imagery/effects during the performance, making a comment on how all of kanye and kim's fans called her a snake. of course there's more to it than that, but i tried to sum it up as best as i could
And my favorite boys are back! Amazing song choices! Can't wait for the next video
Obsessed with these two
I literally love that you're experiencing this how it was meant to be experienced.
