I appreciate your break down of Kendrick's lyrics because they went over mine and probably most Swifties' heads. I'm impressed by how thorough and well versed you are in pop culture. Great reaction.

Ugh, just you breaking down and explaining Kendrick's lyrics made my head explode. We're in 2023 and I can still say that people just completely underrate the creativity and talent of rap lyricists overall.
I think the only “star” you missed was Mariska Hargitay aka Capt Olivia Benson (Taylor’s cat’s namesake!) that Taylor was over the moon to get to be in this video with! Thank you for the breakdown of Kendrick’s rap and linking it up for us. It normally annoys me when someone stops a song so much but you were quiet k and had so much insight that it didn’t detract from the song at all. Good job.
You should get ready: it’s all about letting go of preconceived notions about music and genres. She’s all about the actual music. Watch the rock version of “We Are Never Getting Back Together.” I never wanted to be a swiftie. I fought it. But here I am 🤷🏻♂️ 😬❤️
You got almost all of the cameos. You missed a couple. This is everyone in order of appearance: Catastrophe (Swift), Arsyn (Selena Gomez), Welvin da Great (Lamar), Lucky Fiori (Lena Dunham), The Trinity (Hailee Steinfeld), Dilemma (Serayah), Slay-Z (Gigi Hadid), Destructa X (Ellie Goulding), Homeslice (Martha Hunt), Mother Chucker (Cara Delevingne), Cut Throat (Zendaya), The Crimson Curse (Hayley Williams), Frostbyte (Lily Aldridge), Knockout (Karlie Kloss), Domino (Jessica Alba), Justice (Mariska Hargitay), Luna (Ellen Pompeo), and Headmistress (Cindy Crawford). They all got to pick their character's names.
I love the fact they got to pick their own character names. And I'm definitely not hyperfixated on what I what choose right now. Nope, doing totally regular things...
I'm so glad you reacted to this! I've seen many people react to this song (even reactors who mostly do rap) and nobody has broken down his verses like you did. They didn't catch any of the symbolism and double meanings. I learned a lot and gained a new appreciation for his parts in the song. Great job!

I'm loving that you jumped on the swifty bus. Shes an amazing song writer. All of the cameos are her 'squad' they are all her bffs. Taylor is the queen of call backs and Easter eggs
Finally someone to dissect kendrick's part so that my brain could understand it better. Been singing this for years and i never truly get it. I was blown away with how lit those bars were! Thanks for this!
It seems clear as day now that someone who writes rap lyrics would be the best person to talk about the great lyrics that Taylor puts down. I'm honestly impressed with how much insight you were able to give to the lyrics of this song. I have watched so many other reactions that seem to focus on the imagery of the visuals of the music video but not so much on the actual lyrics. Hat's off to you! I hope you do more Taylor Swift reactions because I look forward to how you break down the lyrics. BRAVO!
you were pretty on point with the meaning of the song & it being about her drama with katy perry! BUT years later the two of them reconnected and realized they’d each been told different versions of the story as to what actually happened (baseline: katy “stole” some of taylor’s backup dancers during her Red tour, and taylor was under the impression that katy had done it intentionally to sabotage her tour which wasn’t the case despite people she worked closely with portraying it to her that way) and they made amends with each other! in taylor’s video for “you need to calm down” katy makes a cameo 🩷
Yes, it's about Katie Perry. Also, fun fact...towards the end when she's in the tunnel, right before Cindy Crawford.. the two women are Ellen Pompeo and Mariska Hargitay (probably spelled those both wrong), but they are her 2 favorite TV characters, and her 2 cats are named Meredith and Olivia. Sorry for the run on sentence.
If you’re a musician or in music production of any kind, like or dislike Taylor Swift, she’s 1 of the most involved artists. From writing to final production/ editing, being an all around musician of many instruments she’s talented beyond most artists, especially the typical radio play artists.
That’s why I think it’s ridiculous that people said she‘s an industry plant because she‘s been in control, at least creatively, since the beginning of her career.
The number 89 is probably one of her Easter eggs because she has an album 1989. You will see the #13 in a lot of her videos too. Or on her arm. I'm too old to be a Swiftie but 13 is her favorite number. I've always liked her and I have a deep appreciation for her now. I knew she was talented, but she's really came into her own. I'm an author and editor and her lyrics are stunning. She's called the Mastermind, plays several instruments, and her vocals have just improved over time. She is a really great singer and people don't always realize because she's a storyteller. But the girl can belt anytime she wants. ❤
@@KnoxHill it’s long been known that Taylor Swift is a huge fan of Kendrick Lamar’s though so not that big of a surprise when you know that! I just hope she re-releases the version with him on it with the 1989 Taylor’s Version release! It’s so good and it wasn’t even on the last album!
Hadn’t listened to Taylor, except on radio, since she went pop. 2 wks ago another rap reaction channel did All Too Well 10mins Taylor’s version & I fell deep into the rabbit hole. Can’t wait to see my favorite reactor go on that journey. ❤
My son, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 24, loved Kendrick Lamar because he said he could relate. Thank you for breaking down his lyrics so I could understand the meaning. You also have turned this 58 year old into a Swiftie with your incredible knowledge of the meaning behind her songs.
YES! Watching you react to Taylor Swift is my new favourite thing! For music videos you should definitely check out Out Of the Woods too! Also, Endgame! As for lyrics Folklore is always gonna be superior. You also need to check out I Did Something Bad audio AND live performance, you're gonna get blown off your feet! Keep up your amazing work, sending lots of love and support 💜🖤
Loving these TS reactions. All Too Well (10min version) is very different from what you've reacted to of hers so far stylistically but is too many of her fans her magnus opus. Would love to see you react to that as the lyrics are fantastic and you seem to have such a knack for understanding the subtle symbolism in presented in many of her lyrics.
Your analysis of Kendrick's lyrics gave me such a different perspective of this song. I'm not the biggest fan of her "radio" singles, and anyone whose opinion is based on her most played hits is really missing out. She's a master lyricist, which you'll soon discover if you keep listening. I'd love to see you react to Don't Blame Me and I Did Something Bad from the Reputation Tour, and anything from the folklore Long Pond sessions (the versions with her explaining each song is the best). The difference between the two will give you an idea of just how versatile she is, and how amazing an artist she truly is.
Ive listened to this song a million times [cause of Kendrick] and ive NEVER heard someone break this down like what u did. Esp that DOC-OD-ID part! Man ur good!
This was sooo awesome and informative to watch because I never really understood Kendrick’s verses and always preferred the original Bad Blood. (This is a remix). But now I have a whole new appreciation for this version all these years later! Can’t wait for you to react to more Taylor! I have a feeling you’ll really enjoy Reputation
Nah reputation is one of her worst albums tbh- it’s a fan favorite but the production can be wayy too much at times and the lyrics are not the greatest. Knox appreciates good lyrics I think he will like folklore/evermore for the lyrics
The timing of Mariska Hargitay and Ellen Popeo was definitely purposeful. Bandaids don’t fix bullet holes Ellen Pompeo was on Greys Anatomy (Bandaids) Mariska Hargitay is on Law & Order SVU (bullet holes)
Thanks for not shying away from this just because it's Taylor Swift. It was a great video. TS is amazing and I really enjoyed your reaction. Main stream is music too.
This track is about the bad blood (at the time) between Taylor and Katy Perry but, happily, their beef has since resolved. It was really just a misunderstanding. At the time, Taylor was under attack from all sides and overreacted to what she thought was yet another betrayal by a friend. She was wrong about Katy and later alluded to that fact in songs such as Daylight "I wounded the good (Katy) and I trusted the wicked (Kanye and Kim). Katy and Taylor have been friends again for about five years now. Katy did a cameo at the end of Taylor's music video "You Need To Calm Down" when they come together to form a "Happy Meal"
You know, I came here for your reactions to Taylor but damn! if I don’t find myself getting educated and fascinated with the breakdown of Kendrick’s part. I don’t usually listen to rap but you’re good at showing the versatility and lyricism of it. I’m gonna have to start paying attention to more. Thanks, KH!
I love how the two worked together on this song, not only cause they are both massive artists and have mad respect for each other and from others in their field/genre, but also cause the two were front runners for album of the year in 2016 and Taylor ultimately won. People then (of course) went on to sht on Taylor
Love it. I learned a lot from your reaction especially at the rap portion with the acronyms. Keep your TS reaction video coming! As a swiftie, I’m happy to stumble on this.
You're the only whoa actually explained the Kendrick's lyrics 😊 please react to all too well 10 minutes version and I did something bad, I think you'll gonna love them
All her work is well lyricise. You should try “look what you made me do” , “wildest dreams” and “out of the woods”. Any you do you will truly enjoy because she is so unique
You really have a talent for reading into the lyrics and even knowing background stories. It’s what made me want to subscribe to you honestly. You’re very thorough and not much gets by you!
If you go down this swiftie rabbit hole i will thoroughly enjoy watching every single one of your reaction videos. Its so fun to watch the respect and enjoyment grow on people as they dive into song after song of hers.
I forgot about this epic video lol love to see your swifty journey! This was a diss at Demi, but Katy Perry was in Demi’s camp, so you’re on point. If you haven’t yet, you should watch Look What You Made Me Do - it was her diss at Kanye and Kim Kardashian, and the cinematics and double entendres are insane!
I love Taylor. She's so amazing. I'd love to see your reaction to the rap song she did with TPain (I think that's who it was). I'm curious what your reaction would be.
Great reaction to this Taylor video. Thank you for explaining so many things that I did not know about the lingo and references in the video. I appreciate it.
You should react to folklore which I think has some of her best song writing. Cardigan, Betty, and August are about a teenage love triangle with each song being one of the characters perspectives
I am never good at rap. Thank you for breaking this down. I didn’t have any clue what he was saying! Liked the beat just no clue what he was saying! BTW, Selena is supposed to by Katy Perry and the others were the “girl squad”Karlie Kloss 6:35 Victoria’s Secret models, actresses and singers!
Loved your review and how you listened to the lyrics and storyline. I would love for you to react to her album Folklore or Midnights. You would also love her Out of the Woods video!
Hey Knox! I love your music but I'm a major Swiftie. Per your request here is everyone in the music video: Selena Gomez as Arsyn: Kendrick Lamar, who features on the song and isn’t really a cameo, as Welvin Da Great: Lena Dunham as Lucky Fiori: Hailee Steinfeld as The Trinity: Serayah as Dilemma: GiGi Hadid as Slay-Z: Ellie Goulding as Destructa X: Martha Hunt as Homeslice: Cara Delevingne as Mother Chucker: Zendaya as Cut Throat: Hayley Williams as The Crimson Curse: Lily Aldridge as FrostByte: Karlie Kloss as Knockout: Jessica Alba as Domino: Ellen Pompeo as Luna: Mariska Hargitay as Justice: Cindy Crawford as Headmistress: And finally, (from left to right): Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Taylor Swift, Martha Hunt, and Serayah 💙💙💙 1989 Taylor's Version released October 27th 2023!!!
I’ve listened to more Taylor Swift in the last week then I ever have lol I’m in love with Vigilante Shit. And I need Mike Dean to remix it immediately.
I think one of the things that's so interesting is the choice of all the female artists that are agents - they're working for "the industry" and "the industry" keeps trying to put all of them against each other.
Your reactions to the cameos in this are hilarious. I love your breakdown of the lyrics, this version of the song isn't really my favourite (there is a Taylor only version) and I'd be interested to see what you think about the differences. I'd love to see you react to Look What You Made Me Do or ...Ready For It
I'm really interested to see how many of the easter eggs he will find from the Look what you made me do! So yes to that...and for the Ready for it too.
Here you are again, keeping me awake at 12:47AM. Lol. From Blackpink to Taylor, man, you're hittin' it good. Love your reviews. 💙 Lots of love from the Philippines. 😊
After watching your channel for years...I had to tell you that you have way too much random info in your head....& I love it 😅 Keep making awesome content my friend.
I don't really know Taylor Swift and I don't know anything about rap. But I always love how you analyse the way a song is buit. The break down of the lyrics, of course (amazing, as always for every reaction of you I watched), but how the music and the vocals are layered together, how you spot a lot of references in the visual and in the words... That is content that I love.
I’m 45 years old and Cindy Crawford was a Goddess growing up in the 1980’s-90’s. She is still beautiful. If younger people have not seen the Superbowl Pepsi commercial she did in the Lamborghini you are missing out because it’s incredible. That’s my favorite Superbowl commercial EVER Mariska Hargitay from SVU is also in the video. There are about 19-20 celebrities in this video
You know I've seen that video just a few times and know the song but thanks knox I hadn't realised all the actresses in the dawn thing till now.....what other artist can get others like that even elle golden another singer similar to her and she's in it I mean wow...gotta give Taylor a round of applause for pulling this off
If you’re looking for Taylor reaction ideas that are individual videos as opposed to full albums I recommend: -Look What You Made Me Do music video -Blank Space music video -I Did Something Bad AMAs performance -Artist of the Decade AMAs performance -Grammys Museum Performances (all are amazing, my personal fave is Blank Space but most peoples is OOTW) -Out Of The Woods (1989 Tour performance) -We Aren Never Getting Back Together (1989 tour performance) -Bad Blood/Should’ve Said No (Rep Tour performance) -Ready For It music video -Tiny Desk -Doubt with Mary J Blige (1989 tour) -All Too Well short film -Live Lounge Those are a great place to start 🤭 but if you ever want to react to full albums just know that Swifties will gladly sit through a 2 hour video and give you all their views lmao
Please react to her reputation tour!! Are You Ready For It and Look What You Made Me Do are my favorites to watch people react to bc they're so shocked! 😂 Love Taylor's toughness and choreography ❤
I love your video Knox 😊 this is definitely my favourite Taylor song, I'm not a huge fan, but you can't deny this track is dope. Plus anything with Hayley Williams is a win for me.
Knox pls react to her other songs "All too well " ❤ "Look what you made me do" "Blank space" Actually theres so many more 😂😂 but these are just my favorites 😅

Thanks, KH!
You must react to her song "ready for it". She is literally rapping in this one
❤
love how you identify so many cameos!!!
This is hands down the best reaction to this musicvideo! Love your analysis🙌🏻
I'd love to see you react to All too well the 10 minute version from Taylor
Kendrick returned and re-recorded his parts after Taylor did her version of this... Such a cool thing to do!!!
You really have a talent for reading into the lyrics and even knowing background stories. It’s what made me want to subscribe to you honestly. You’re very thorough and not much gets by you!
Best reaction I’ve ever seen. No cap. I didn’t know DOC initials was TLC. Awesome breakdown.
Just starting to appreciate Taylor’s songs. Becoming a swiftie now🥰. Thanks for your reaction.❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦
89 is there because this song is on an album called 1989 and this is about her old beef with katy (they're good now)
If you go down this swiftie rabbit hole i will thoroughly enjoy watching every single one of your reaction videos.
@exorcistrisingofficial yes :)
Taylor Swift : All Too Well (Short Movie Video). So good.
Spy movie wick john
10:34 I'm pretty sure the 88, 89 and 90 are because Bad Blood was released on her album 1989, hence 89 being front and centre
Damn. This is exactly why I come here for the breakdowns. 🔥🔥
I love watching you... i always learn shit... its educational for sure...
I cant wait for knox truely know how taylor is a lyrical mastermind
Loving your journey into Taylor Swift’s genius! You should definitely react to Out Of The Woods, Ready For It and End Game
I love Taylor. She's so amazing. I'd love to see your reaction to the rap song she did with TPain (I think that's who it was). I'm curious what your reaction would be.
Yeah, it is T-Pain and the song is called thug story. I love that song, it is soo funny
Great reaction to this Taylor video. Thank you for explaining so many things that I did not know about the lingo and references in the video. I appreciate it.
I love how you know all the celeb cameos
Mate, your breakdowns are so good. I need you to do more Taylor Swift.
This was so helpful for breaking down Kendrick’s rap!
hands down, this is my FAV ! the rap, the lyrics, beats, emotions are ON POINT !

1989 Taylor's Version released October 27th 2023!!!
I’ve listened to more Taylor Swift in the last week then I ever have lol I’m in love with Vigilante Shit. And I need Mike Dean to remix it immediately.
Wow, I am so happy i found your channel. You are such a quick witted, articulate artist. Much love. Keep on. Im here for it.
I think one of the things that's so interesting is the choice of all the female artists that are agents - they're working for "the industry" and "the industry" keeps trying to put all of them against each other.
Making the video 13 minutes okayyyy I see you Knox go ahead 😎
Your reactions to the cameos in this are hilarious. I love your breakdown of the lyrics, this version of the song isn't really my favourite (there is a Taylor only version) and I'd be interested to see what you think about the differences. I'd love to see you react to Look What You Made Me Do or ...Ready For It
I'm really interested to see how many of the easter eggs he will find from the Look what you made me do! So yes to that...and for the Ready for it too.
Love how at @ 4:42 in KH Video, and 1:31 in Taylor's Video,
the dog motions a bark inline with the "hey" from the lyrics.
I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS please make more videos like thiss!!! as a swiftie i really like watching people react to taylor swift.
Here you are again, keeping me awake at 12:47AM. Lol. From Blackpink to Taylor, man, you're hittin' it good. Love your reviews. 💙 Lots of love from the Philippines. 😊
After watching your channel for years...I had to tell you that you have way too much random info in your head....& I love it 😅
Keep making awesome content my friend.
Check no body no crime, my favorite song from her lyric wise
Awesome reaction & break down again Knox, can’t believe you’ve taken me down a swift rabbit hole - who knew 🤷♀️👏👏🤣
I’m 45 years old and Cindy Crawford was a Goddess growing up in the 1980’s-90’s. She is still beautiful. If younger people have not seen the Superbowl Pepsi commercial she did in the Lamborghini you are missing out because it’s incredible. That’s my favorite Superbowl commercial EVER
Mariska Hargitay from SVU is also in the video. There are about 19-20 celebrities in this video
You know I've seen that video just a few times and know the song but thanks knox I hadn't realised all the actresses in the dawn thing till now.....what other artist can get others like that even elle golden another singer similar to her and she's in it I mean wow...gotta give Taylor a round of applause for pulling this off
If you’re looking for Taylor reaction ideas that are individual videos as opposed to full albums I recommend:
-Look What You Made Me Do music video
-Blank Space music video
-I Did Something Bad AMAs performance
-Artist of the Decade AMAs performance
-Grammys Museum Performances (all are amazing, my personal fave is Blank Space but most peoples is OOTW)
-Out Of The Woods (1989 Tour performance)
-We Aren Never Getting Back Together (1989 tour performance)
-Bad Blood/Should’ve Said No (Rep Tour performance)
-Ready For It music video
-Tiny Desk
-Doubt with Mary J Blige (1989 tour)
-All Too Well short film
-Live Lounge
Those are a great place to start 🤭 but if you ever want to react to full albums just know that Swifties will gladly sit through a 2 hour video and give you all their views lmao
Please react to her reputation tour!! Are You Ready For It and Look What You Made Me Do are my favorites to watch people react to bc they're so shocked! 😂 Love Taylor's toughness and choreography ❤
Also the fight scene in the snow when the hand is to the ground, reference to Frozen? Taylor is Elsa’s voice.
I love your video Knox 😊 this is definitely my favourite Taylor song, I'm not a huge fan, but you can't deny this track is dope. Plus anything with Hayley Williams is a win for me.
I'm always impressed with your knowledge. I wouldn't have recognized half of these famous cameos if you didn't mention them
Knox pls react to her other songs
"All too well " ❤
"Look what you made me do"
"Blank space"
Actually theres so many more 😂😂 but these are just my favorites 😅
"...Ready For It?" from "reputation" album🖤 i'm sure you will love it
Love how it last 13 min which is Taylor's lucky number ❤️
The 89 reflects to 1989- the year Taylor was born and also the title of the album bad blood is on
We need more Kenny!!! It's definitely *the artist* that needs your immense breakdowns
He’s good looking!.!.
my appreciation for the meaning behind taylors lyrics seems validated now
Thank you! You taught an OG swiftie something new with your knowledge of Kendrick's lyrics!
I know it's kinda long, but I would LOVE to see you react to her song All Too Well (the 10 min version). It's so fire with the lyrics and everything.
This was the first time I’ve heard someone break down Kendrick’s lines and thank you so much
I’ve always admired and respected him out of sheer name recognition but I didn’t have the education to actually parse why he was saying so again truly appreciate
Spot on. You came at this HARD!
Way more than I was expecting to get!
Thank you!
Keep up the epic work 🤩
She is such an ICON!!!
