You’re the first person to make me realize that F.A.N was an acronym. I thought he was calling Drake a FAN, but he was also spelling out what FAN meant.
He wrote these 10 years ago. Born, ready to destroy the idea of Drake. Edit: It has come to my attention that 2009 was 15 years ago. He been ready since 2009.
I see why Kendrick is going so hard. He’s not just doing this for himself, he’s doing it for his fellow artists, and the people in Drake’s own camp that want to see him fall.
No, he was *charged* with the assault and trafficking, but the girl disappeared, so the trafficking charges were dropped, and Baka pleaded guilty to the assault and got time served bc he had been in jail for ten months at that point.
7:40 he didn't say "bully the flow". He said "extort shit, Willie Defoe on 'em". In the movie "To Live and Die in LA", Willem Defoe plays a crooked fed agent who has an extortion scheme going. Haven't seen anyone catch that one *yet.*
Old white lady here, putting in my opinion for what it's worth. I grew up in LA county, about 5 mi from Compton. Our high schools would play each other. I saw the hip Hop rise in the 80s and 90s. Hell, Snoop went to my friend's birthday party like 20 years ago. I haven't exactly been up to date on the scene, life gets in the way, but I still listening to music. When I first heard of this going on, I was curious because I've heard that Kendrick is just an amazing Lyricist and a genius of his generation. I know about accusations but I don't know too much about the facts when it comes to Drake. Maybe it's just because I'm born and raised in southern Los Angeles county, but Kendrick is beyond winning this. Drake is finished. Even if some of the accusations aren't true, he's done. I might be biased, but I think Kendrick has authenticity and credit the Drake never has had and never will, beside the fact that Kendrick just has nuclear talent. Drake cannot win this battle. At this point, Kendrick is like a cat playing with a dying mouse. He's just batting Drake back and forth, waiting for him to stand up again so he can just knock him down. This is a prime case of f around and find out
*To the people mad at Drake being called a colonizer but not when he literally had a song and said “whipped and chained like an AMERICAN SLAVE” then you’ve missed the justification of Kendrick’s anger. As well as a lot of Black Americans called him out for that line and how he made sure to emphasize it being American slaves and not even just a slave. Yes Drake is half Black American but he’s also a Canadian born and raised Jewish biracial man too and completely steps over the line and doesn’t respect his Black side at all besides making money from it. He was raised as he stated from his own mouth in an all Jewish suburban area and we’ve seen him even have a Bar Mitzvah music video. He absolutely never would dare disrespect his Jewish side and most likely never would in any song.*
Drake also said Kendrick acts "like he's freeing the slaves" on Family Matters which implies that people who like Kendrick's music for the radical and pro black messages are slaves in Drake's eyes. I doubt Drake meant it that way, but that makes Kendrick's point more important: Drake is so far from the culture he doesn't even realize when he's implying that black people are slaves.
Finally someone who is breaking that part down!!! Thank you. I geuss we the only that has watched drake's back story. He is so contradictory his own shit it is not even funny. He is from mid up class speaking like a fresh block gang bang for the 90's kid type audience that is just punk shit. The industry says we don't give a fuck what you do but carry that shit with respect. That is what Kenny doing on him while showing him his outstanding balance about the bullshit. Ken has alway's had my respect from how he can get into different perspectives and through shit back and back with it. Not sorry, Drake fan's got it so fucked up with saying he up on Ken.
In addition Drake is misguided and ignorant to struggles black Canadians have faced and continue to face to this day. I don't respect him for not paying attention to what's happened and what's going on. Especially considering he exploits black culture.
A lot of people are missing how crazy “I’m the one to up the score on him” is….Meet the grahams is done in the key of “a minor” (which explains why it’s so eerie and ominous) meanwhile, “Not like us” is in the key of B….”up the score on him”…only the music conductor has access and control of the music score 😩 Kendrick is the conductor in this battle (edited to add: It’s Really Aaron on TikTok plays both songs in both keys for those that would like to hear it. 🫶🏾)

Interestingly, Kendrick said on ‘euphoria’ that he “might do a show a day” and it didn’t make clear sense then upon its release but it makes total sense now with the context of this flurry of diss tracks from him dropping back to back, 3 days in a row now. Kendrick is a poetic menace😂
With bringing up 2Chainz said he lied ties back to their song no lie they had together back in the day too. Kendrick’s lyrics and meanings behind them are untouchable

Kendrick isn’t on Drake for being half white. He’s not saying “you’re not black like us,” but that Drake benefits from black hip-hop culture as it suits to benefit him. He’s a great pretender. He takes from others to gain more popularity and notoriety. Had he been himself and not been a troll for over a decade, this wouldn’t have happened. JCole is half white too, and no one talks bad about that. Drake throws rocks and hides his hands… quick to run to his mom and call others racist. He’s delusional and tries to rally “fans” and normal people to be on his side. All this to say, I’m not a hater but as a woman in her thirties who watch Drake from Degrassi til now, I see now what I didn’t see before.
That Bill Cosby catch was amazing. Nobody else I’ve seen caught that. And once you hear it, it’s impossible to not see. Great catch. That’s why you’re the best at this!
I thought the “amberlance” was like him calling an “Amber Alert.” I like Kendrick’s style, because he makes you critically think about what he is saying. I’m an almost 50 year old teacher and this is on my top 10 diss list.
My goodness, I have watched reaction after reaction since this started and NOBODY had dissected and explained like you have!!! 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽you are The Professor in this sht!
the craziest part to me about the “A Minor” bar is the fact that Not Like Us is played in B Minor, but kendrick says all 3 syllables in A Minor - C (A), A(Mi-), E(-Nor). kendrick is a different breed
His next one should kinda have this type of flow but add evidence on his thumbnail and gifs in his music video of proof, because that's how he can end this
Fun fact: he talks about the a minor-cord and says "up the score" because in "meet the Graham's" he used an a minor score and on this he went up one. So now he's on a b-cord
@@smashergrilla954if you think that’s a reach you don’t know. Watch Dissect podcast. Dude spent weeks researching ONE SONG. He has levels. He has legit sextuple entendres
"Step this way step that way are we locked in now step this way." He's also demonstrating he's the one choreographing and conducting this beef. By extension he's telling Drake "I decide when this is over."
Kendrick incorporating mad west coast rappers flow style with Mustard on the Beat is such a diabolical play. Took the wind out of Family Matters’ sails with the immediate premeditated ‘Meet the Graham’s’ then dropped a club bop to bounce into the weekend with… Kendrick’s chest board has been in play and he’s closing for a flawless checkmate ❤
I've been listening to Hip Hop since early 80s, I honestly think these past tracks from Kendrick are as good as anything I've heard in 40 years, seriously no one can touch him these bars are insane

Yo, the only time Drake was even REMOTELY close to winning this beef was during the twenty-seven minutes between "Family Matters", and "meet the Grahams"."meet the Grahams" was for Drake, this newest track "Not Like Us" is for the naysayers. Anyone who still thinks that Drake is anywhere near "up" after this is either blind, deaf, or a diddler themselves. PERIOD.
27 minutes 😂😂😂
Drakes family matters was a bad ass song. Creative bars, nice flows. Euphoria was goood too. I like both those songs but like family matters better. This song was just rehashed shit. Good song and catchy tho

I see why Kendrick is going so hard. He’s not just doing this for himself, he’s doing it for his fellow artists, and the people in Drake’s own camp that want to see him fall.
He did it for “The Culture” & WE Thank Him.😉🌸✌️🏽

This is a prime case of f around and find out
Well said!

Reql talk
Drake also said Kendrick acts "like he's freeing the slaves" on Family Matters which implies that people who like Kendrick's music for the radical and pro black messages are slaves in Drake's eyes. I doubt Drake meant it that way, but that makes Kendrick's point more important: Drake is so far from the culture he doesn't even realize when he's implying that black people are slaves.
Finally someone who is breaking that part down!!! Thank you. I geuss we the only that has watched drake's back story. He is so contradictory his own shit it is not even funny.
Yeah, that's how I read it too - it's got nothing to do with him being biracial but everything to do with him being a culture vulture.
The A Minor bar ALSO relates to Meet the Grahams being done in A minor. Drake told him to step it up, and this song is now in B minor
