@25:10 I interpreted that line of money going in the wrong hands of a crash dummy as in somebody who's willing to "crash out" for profit. Wanna be hitman essentially. And it makes sense with the follow up lines about "jeopardize my family and burden the ones who love me". Mourning a loss if the "crash dummy" was successful.
"Ducking strays in the Knickersons" he battle rapped in the Knickerson Gardens housing projects in Watts LA. Bounty Hunter Blood Set hails from there. Aint no joke up in there. Top Dawg comes outta there.
One element that you're overlooking is that the music is the old song Friends by Whodini. Kendrick talks about people showing their true faces over the beat of a song asking how many of us have REAL friends. I believe every song on this album has a sample relevant to the message of the song. Man at the garden is, ironically, One Mic from Nas
In that last verse about the bitcoin, bank transactions, etc. he’s talking about how someone (possibly Drake) was offering people in Kendrick’s city monetary gain for dirt. Kendrick is saying “they wouldn’t entertain ole boy” meaning nobody would give up anything on him. The crash dummy is referencing the money possibly going to someone reckless and irresponsible who could possibly cause harm to Kendrick or his family. Which is just reinforcing Kendrick not being with any truces with the other side

Woooow now I hear it!
Came here to say I hear this
Kendrick hit Legendary Rank and started climbing the legend leaderboard. Working his way to Em 😳
Meanwhile Em is slowly but surely working his way down that list....
Yall crazy as hell. Make no mistake Em never lost his place. Em is GOATED been GOATED FOR YEARS… the only reason why people won’t give him his flowers is because he whites and hip hop is for speaking on black issues… but EM is that dude.. and I say that as a black woman. If Em and KDOT battled it would be ridiculous
I honestly have to commend Kendrick. I wanted to say "Drake could never" but honestly, no artist can grab the worlds attention all at the same time. Dude im in South Africa, cape town. And we are all consuming his words at the same time. Thats power man, in November 2024. Wow, epic stuff. Love how its just plain music, no heavy bass but actual passion in the music.
With Em's new album, its selling pretty well throughout the world!
Yup, im a 40 year old woman in KZN and Im up..
I'm in Ug and I woke up to this. Had to pause my morning agenda cause DAMN!!!
I'm 25 from KwaZulu-Natal and Kendrick has always just been the one for me.
@@markheckman2196yeah but after that debut and a couple of shots no one kept attention on him… kendrick surprised dropped and has the world in a frenzy along with being top on spotify and apple music and competing with all the top songs kf the year
Your music is dope. I just heard it on in this intro. I’m impressed!!
Kendrick is a bonafide legend. He is on demon time. It’s off with all of their heads👌🥊🥊🥊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💯💯💯💯💯
Anyone else noticed that the image of Kendrick on the album looks similar to a picture of ice cube leaning on his car in the 90s?
Yep. Cube in the DC "Soldier" video that also features Wayne
"Head shots for the year, you better walk around like Daft Punk." He was NOT PLAYING!
On the day JFK got assasinated?
@@zacharybuday9991dropped at 12:30pm …same time as the assassination
Kendrick just open his mouth, dropping album fire as hell,he talks about past year, somebody pass him Grammy right now 😅😅😅😅😅 fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
He's not just top 5, Kendrick is the GOAT.
I frigging love Kendrick, the album is a gift
I woke up and saw Kendrick dropped and instead of sitting in bed for a bit like I usually do I immediately hopped out of bed and got on my computer to hear it.
This had been an amazing year fo hip hop
For*
The production on this album gives me the same type of energy as Nippsey's Victory Lap. Two albums that feel raw and filled with knowledge that's sprinkled in.
We are waiting for your reaction Knox, salute from Italy 🥂
This guy is just soooo goood he never puts a foot wrong like he knows exactly what the people needs, kendrick is just that guy.
@KnoxHill that bass in the background is from Whodini’s “Friends”…that in itself is a subliminal message!
Oh wow 😮
What does it mean ? Break it down
@@SOLUTION_PROVIDER meaning he has “no friends in the industry”….a Drake song.
Oh my goodness that's good old song! There's not too many of them out there!😅
Thank you for pointing that out...I knew it was famiiar but didn't know what it was.
He’s referring Andrew Schulz. The “don’t let know white comedian talk about black women” was also him telling Charlamange the god to check his boy andrew schulz
His Album Is FIREEEE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@25:10
I interpreted that line of money going in the wrong hands of a crash dummy as in somebody who's willing to "crash out" for profit.
🎯but it’s Nickerson
@deandremallory3842 you right.
Kenny is in heat, don't mess with him atm.
Cant wait for Em to jump in with Ken, remind all it ain't about the skin color but the culture
the fact that i got the noti for this no more than 10 minutes after i finished the album is crazy, beautifullll album bro, it’s all 10s 😭😭😭😭😭
The music sample is Friends by Whodini... quite fitting...
Thanks for always having a breakdown that extends my mind to think a lil bit more 👌🏽
L⚜️VE DOT in New Orleans‼️Not all of us rock like Wayne. ⚜️❤️🔥⚜️❤️🔥⚜️❤️🔥⚜️
Kendrick is going to go down in history as the best rapper of all time💯🙌
Facts
Definitely on the mount rushmore
The whole truth here
Right after Em 💯
One element that you're overlooking is that the music is the old song Friends by Whodini. Kendrick talks about people showing their true faces over the beat of a song asking how many of us have REAL friends. I believe every song on this album has a sample relevant to the message of the song. Man at the garden is, ironically, One Mic from Nas
Plus 2pac sampled it on troublesome and Nas if I ruled the world
This is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard
In that last verse about the bitcoin, bank transactions, etc. he’s talking about how someone (possibly Drake) was offering people in Kendrick’s city monetary gain for dirt. Kendrick is saying “they wouldn’t entertain ole boy” meaning nobody would give up anything on him. The crash dummy is referencing the money possibly going to someone reckless and irresponsible who could possibly cause harm to Kendrick or his family. Which is just reinforcing Kendrick not being with any truces with the other side
I’ve had the worst week of my life recently. I’ve always told myself, there’s always something positive that comes out of everything that’s negative. Just as I started to think that wasn’t true. Kendrick put out a banger of an album 💿
An we can’t forget about you Knox, thank you for being you and doing what you do best! 🙏
Same here
💯
Hope things get better for you!
it gets better, believe me. it sucks, and it gets worse too, but the highs are so much higher once you've made it thru the lows.
I think Kendrick feels a type of way about Wayne’s reaction, and I don’t blame him.
“Put your mask on for the covid bars we sick’ 😂😂😂 here’s my subscribe good sir.
This song came out on Friday and Kendrick mentioned the scene from Friday with the captain crunch and water. 😂😂😂😂😂 bruh
Also John F Kennedy assisnation😮
Also GNX is a word play for DMX. A side note ICE CUBE drop his album today 😂😂😂😂
@@andrec2696 no it isn't... It's the name of the car. Grand National X.
The reaction I was waiting for!
Kendrick is a chosen one, spiritually awake, we're entering aquarius, THE LIGHT OVER SHINES THE DARK FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS, LET'S GOOOOOOO
Now that is how you open an album🔥🔥💯💯
The king is back❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Never left
The white comedian reference is a shot at Andrew Schulz when he dissed black women when Shxts n Gigs came on as a guest appearance.
The shot is to those two clowns that sat there laughing their asses off while some idiot dismantled their entire career.
I don't think that was big enough because why bring it up now he has said similar things way before then. Also, shxts and gigs are not big enough to catch a stray from kendrick when the song is based around artist. Maybe it is just a random shot at youtubers but doesn't seem to fit the theme of the song
Or Gary Owens
Cartoons and Cereal will FOREVER be my favorite song by Dot.
Knox the breakdown Goat. This album is a masterpiece .💪🔥🔥
His ‘they not like us’ mural at Tam’s was vandalized
Mr. Lamar has another classic album
Kendrick is the sickest bro I love this this is real hip hop
Woke up this morning as momma’s innocent kid 👶 after listen to this album GNX , I’m ViLLaiN now 😈
Kendrick's energy in this song is truly immense.
Your reactions and breakdowns are the best! Dot absolutely went nuts!
So actually someone DID vandalize Kendrick's literal mural in Compton! I took it to be very literal
Harlem New York here we loveeeeeee Kendrick and most of All we Loveeeeee REAL HIPHOP. This is where it all started from AND DOT IS CARRYING IT ON HIS BACK RIGHT NOW. He’s keeping alive why we all feel inlove with hiphop in the first place. We are United not divided❤❤❤❤❤✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
No subliminals. Fk em up K Dot. I am loving the album ❤🔥
Going through your full album breakdown. This album is insane!! Thanks for your hard work Knox!! We all appreciate it!!
Covid Bars is crazy.. this was dope Knox
5:18 someone actually did defaced his mural that somebody painted in Compton for him
31.42...in FRIDAY Ice Cube was eating captain crunch and ran out of milk. Put some water on it
😂
WTF 😮
Wow. Good catch. Interesting! I don’t really know what to make of that since he dropped the same day as Cube… is it just a callout?
😂😂😂😂
WAITTTT😭😭😭
Woah! That last verse goes HARD!!! 🔥🔥🔥 The whole song is sick!!
The Muted couple of secs GONNA KILL SOMEONES CARRER i just know it.
Nah that's just about Diddy.
That was some very tense seconds
@knoxhill is the absolute GOAT of all time. Music reviews and especially lyrical breakdowns are always the best
Knox, the dictionary of rap 😅
