The best thing about this is they're still friends today and Jeff Cohen (with him being a lawyer now) was the one that helped negotiate and sign the contracts for Ke Huy Quan's deal for Everything Everywhere All At Once.
They went to Disneyland together as adults. Great friendship.

Agreed. And I love the fact that Ke Huy Quan doesn't seem to have changed a bit since this was filmed. He still appears to be every bit as sweet, & adorable as he was when he was a kid.

@@mayspondmogul I'm pretty sure everyone made that movie... Mikey, Brand, Mouth, Sloth, etc were just as great... I'd argue Chunk is the standout, but they're all pretty equally amazing imo hence why it's such a phenomenal film, not to mention the score, storytelling, writing, setting, and directing by Spielberg.. A spinoff would have been fun, but weird without the others.
It's nice to know that they stayed friends up until now! Wow!

Great video!! Love those guys!! Very nostalgic, I saw The Goonies three times in the theaters when it was released way back in June of 1985, what a great summer that was. I was 12 years old that year and wanted to be a Goonie so bad, lol!! At that time, Corey Feldman was my favorite actor but when Stand By Me was released, this "other" kid named River came out of nowhere and you could immediately tell that he was a gifted, talented, actor. River Phoenix died way too young.
AR John I also had a great childhood in the summer of 1985 when I saw the goonies twice in theaters in June 1985.
A month later in July 1985 I also had the privilege in watching Back To The Future twice in theaters
Jeff is now an entertainment lawyer and made a deal for Ke for his Everything Everywhere All at Once movie.

I was 7 when Goonies came out. I remember my friends and I making our own treasure maps and would ride our bikes to search for it. Amazing time to be alive.

13:15 I feel bad when I hear these interviews with actual adults shaming Jeff Cohen on his weight. Joke, language barrier, or not, it's still disappointing that his weight is being pointed out and so disrespectfully too. There's another interview I've scene with Jeff being insulted by an adult -- and Jeff always seemed to handle it well. He got in shape on his own time and Im glad he had the last laugh. He was one tough, confident kid.
I can’t believe it! We’re about to see Ke do a spinning-roundhouse-kick and the camera person looks the other way!!! He left acting to become a fight-choreographer!✌️The two of them did a great job of hiding how awkward the experience was!

I think Ke Huy Quan was so cute back then as Data on "The Goonies" and as Short Round on "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." I have both movies.

At about 13:10 the woman is asking Jeff about his part as Chunk and he tries to explain that Chunk is sort of a klutz and then he says he eats all the time. The lady clearly responds "I can see that".

Jeff was the only goonie at the Oscar's to support ke huys win. Very cool and beautiful. You would figure josh brolin would be there too cuz he's big in Hollywood, and usually Hollywood's biggest names always attends

I wonder if they went without their parents to promote the movie. To have those BMX bikes in the 80's were like win on the lottery. It's good to know that both of them succeeded in life as an adult. A lawyer and an Oscar winning actor, great as it can be.
