RIP Richard Donner, He was the first Goonie.
I thought one eye Willie was the first
The goonies is literally everyone’s favorite 80s movie. I love this movie very much this will forever be a classic.
it's so overrated lol
@@michelerich1590 its not lol
@@michelerich1590 your genetics are overrated
Yeah until the new generation gets a hold of it and criticizes it, and then say it should be banned.
@@michelerich1590 it's not overrated, it was just a fun film for the 80's kids all over the world. I guess the same would happen with Harry Potter and that stuff for millenials.
What a gem of a movie. I miss the days of just watching this, Back to the Future, Superman, Star Wars and The Neverending Story on repeat. Thank you Steven Speilberg, Richard Donner and George Lucas for a very special childhood.
100%
One of the greatest movies of all time in my opinion.
Also the never ending story
Agreed. My favorite movie from my childhood
The movie of our childhood... R.I.P. Richard.
Same
They say this movie was made with love, and that's why it's such a classic success...but I think it's beyond that. I believe it's right timing in the 80's golden era movie industry as well as pop culture. That's what made movies like "The Goonies, Back to the Future, Breakfast Club"..and sit-coms "The Wonder Years" into such icons. The 80's to early 90's was the nostalgic wonder teenage years for most of us.
Goonies, Stand by me, The Breakfast club, Back to the future. These are the 4 iconic 80's movies!
100%. Those movies, like a lot of them did back then, seemed to have a resonance - or commonality - with young people at the time. The characters, places, etc. seemed like they actually existed. We went on adventures outdoors, we rebelled against authority at school, we thought _maybe_ time travel was possible, etc. Movies seemed to be just a slightly (we wished) exaggerated version of reality.
YESSS
And the monster Squad
Corey Feldman was in two of them as well as Gremlins. Absolute blockbusters
@@RodCornholio Fun fact I JUST found out...Goonies and Back to the Future...wait for it...wait...wait...HAPPEN ON THE SAME DAY!!!
50 this year and this was my jam. So fortunate to have been a teen in the 80s and see this in theatre when it first came out....
The best movie to watch growing up in the 80s 📼 :-)
4/23
Man I bet it was something seeing this in the theater…
@@REALLYEPIC And a week later in the UK, "Back To the Future"!
Same here. I saw it at the teather twice in a row back at the time, I liked it so much that I had to rewatch it ASAP.
They don’t make movies like this no more probably one of my all time favorite childhood movies 💯

My favorite childhood movie ❤️
i was 9 when it came out. a friend of my mom had a cinema at he time (here in germany) and he gave me all the original posters when it was not playing anymore AND the original book! i´ve read it at least 100 times and i recommend it to every true fan of the goonies! lots of untold stuff to discover...
Everybody here to say goodbye to the first Goonie, Richard. Thanks a lot, buddy.
06:03
I understand this movie is still popular
I hope for maintaining this beautiful town
The 1980's were a Golden Age in entertainment - music, TV, video games, movies. The mid '80's were arguably a peak WITHIN this peak. _Goonies_ and _Back to the Future_ were the cherries on top. We took it for granted that entertainment would stay the same or get better. How wrong we were.
This film is the only reason I wanted to try a Baby Ruth candy bar 😂
Awww...brought tears to me Ayes...
Lol
Goonies Forever!!!!!
I’m only 11 but this is the best old 1980’s movie I’ve ever seen and Sean Astin sry inf the last name wrong but you are asome as bob in stranger things and all you guys best movie ever :)
_Stranger Things_ captures the look and feel of the 1980's...excellently.
Now we're all grown up and look at this movie like a scrap book of our lost youth.
Cindy Lauper Sean Aston. Coming off of Indiana Jones…. This was my childhood. This is a classic!
Thanks Richard Donner! 💜
RIP Richard Donner ❤️
LOVE this movie! One of my all time favorites! I do wish they would have left the police car crashing into the boat scene at 0:50 as that would have added even more to the great chase at the beginning of the movie. I didn't even know that clip existed until I saw this behind the scenes video. There are SO many clips that were filmed but not used in the final cut of the movie. The whole encounter at the store scene with Troy and the scene with the octopus should have definitely been left in for continuity in the movie. Either that, or they should have eliminated some dialog and brief camera shots so it didn't make people question WHAT Data was talking about at the end or HOW the map all of sudden was burned when it wasn't at the time they found it...😉
i am obsessed
Definitely one of the greatest movies around the world love from the uk 🇬🇧 Richard and Spielberg 👏🏾
4:57 Data's laugh lol
🥰🥰🥰 love this film 🥰🥰🥰
One of the best movies of whole time
I still love this movie one of my favourites
In my top 10 movies of all time
I forgot that Pants had done the toupee joke WAY back here in Goonies! Then they ALSO used the toupee joke when Joey was on Sopranos!
I love this movie to this day. There has never been a kids movie this compelling since.
One of my favorites
Rip Richard Donner, Rip Anne Ramsey.
Awesome Movie a true classic 👌
4:21 I always remember that unique accent 😊👍
amo esse filme
Interesting to see how much wasn't in the film :)
at the end of the film when data says about the octopus, he wasn’t lying ! it was another deleted scene.
Yea. I’ve never seen the police car crash into the boat. Unless I missed it!
@@TheVesylum In the magazine they made at the time, they showed many cut scenes, including one where Andy takes the Goonie oath & scene where Data had a smoke screen of sometime.
you never knew did you! Just Beautiful
5:21 - :49 Brilliant!
This is also on the dvd 📀 from years ago
Best commentary ever. Laugh riot

Does anyone know if this footage is available in a longer format anywhere? Is there a behind the scenes documentary or anything?
I Don't think so, this documentary footage is on the DVD special features

Brilliant 🥳👌🏼
I love The Goonies movie👈👍👏💯
Melhor filme dos anos 80 amo dms
In my opinion the police car crashing into the lobster boat was a cool scene. Wish they would have kept that into the final version of the film.

*Classic*
Is there longer version of goonies making of available?
4.48 mins delta laughing at my man
I wish the waterslide could be real in real life from the movie and after to me. 🙂💭🌈🎨
Universal Studios need to make that in to a ride.
@@mischiefmakerstudios9900 Like half for the water park or a roller coaster like at some amusement park?
If they ever do a new version of this, I wanna be in it
36 years later though? I don't know....
It should either be done right, or not done at all(as a sequel rather than a reboot).
Uhhh , no ... no more reboots please !!
Me too, If I would be in it and I would've have the Warner siblings with me like the 2020 version with me from the animaniacs 2020 please.
I hate reboots as much as the next person but if they ever do a re-make of this specific movie which I don’t know why they would, it would need to be live-action and almost ever shot would need to be practical just like it was in the original, too much cgi would be this movie’s downfall.
If they do I'll not watch it never want a remake of this masterpiece
Music:Dave Grusin(1985)
RIP Richard Donner
Honorary goonie here!!!
I wish I was born back in the '80s too bad I was born in the '90s

Back to the future still wins …..

Esse vídeo deveria ser legendado
3:56 He's talking about all of the scenes with the kids compared to the adults. This sounds very suspect considering what we all know now.
It's sad they tearing down the Warner brothers sound stage for goonies 2:14 😢... and Warner's brothers ranch 2:35
Seems strict
うーん いいねぇー。
Kerri green was a babe back then.
オリジナルメンバーでパート2は難しいのかな?
Back when Thanos worked for DC
You're thinking of Jonah Hex.
