Amazing! Finally a D.I.Y oz fixer giving n using something I can get from the local hardware stores! Thank you! 👍 Keep up the good work mate! 😊 from the sunshine state 🌞🌞🌞
Great hack! Out of curiosity how much primer, paint and clear coat did you use to achieve this look? Just trying to budget how many tins we'll need for a similar sized kitchen. Thanks!
I can’t remember sorry! It was so long ago. It should have a coverage rate on the tin / website, which is how we would have worked it out. I do remember we had heaps left over though…
incase your wondering, the frequency of the lights clashed with the framerate of the video, next time, try changing to 24, 25, 30, or even 60fps to avoid this
How did you go with the clear coat? I’ve done two coats of white and it looked great. Started on the clear coat and I’ve experienced a similar issue to what I’ve read online- all these dark bits throughout the clear coat :’(
how come you didnt paint the bench did you just replace it? if so was it cheaper to do so or would you recommend just painting it with the dulux range again thanks for the video were just thinking about doing the same and so i come across your video our kitchen looks similar
We replaced the bench with an engineered stone. Definitely not cheaper than painting. Not sure how long painting a bench top would last… have seen some of those rustoleum stone look kits - apparently they last fairly well
Looks fantastic!👍🏼 Would you mind sharing the name of the paint? Currently trying to choose a shade of white in the Dulux range but I'm struggling to decide 😅😅
Hi, what is the material of your existing cabinets? I want to repaint mine and but they are vinyl wrapped and I'm not sure sanding them would work, thinking I might have to remove it with a heat gun first.
In theory yes. I’ve used this paint on pine. Would recommend a primer. Not sure how good of a finish you will get though or long it will last as MDF doesn’t hold up too well…
Hey! It’s holding up great, still looks as good as when we did it. There’s one little spot where we managed to scratch it when we replaced the bench, but can’t really blame the paint for that

Thanks for the feedback, will do!
Great job and thanks for the tips!
No problem!
Good video mate
Excellent tips.
Glad it was helpful!
Good video
Thanks!
Any issues with the Dulux Renovation Range ? Read that some people have problem with the clear coat leaving fibres on
I got a really good finish with the clear. It might depend on the quality / type of roller being used

Ours came out perfectly. Depends how much dust etc. in the air I guess... especially if outside

Thank you! The colour we used was ‘white duck quarter’. We decided on the day in Bunnings 😂
@@juliustinkers Thanks so much!☺️
Hi, what is the material of your existing cabinets? I want to repaint mine and but they are vinyl wrapped and I'm not sure sanding them would work, thinking I might have to remove it with a heat gun first.
These were laminate cabinets. You might need to take the vinyl off and potentially look at a primer depending on the surface under
Unfortunately, our laminate is cracked and peeled. Can I still use the same process if I take the laminate off? MDF cupboards underneath....

In the bench top , are u put primer first? Thanks
We didn’t paint the bench tops. We did use the Dulux laminate primer before painting the cupboards though
Hi The Hacked Home :) How is the Dulux holding up after 2 yrs?

Way easier with a spray gun. $40 at bunnings
Definitely a good option. You just need somewhere to spray where overspray isn't an issue
