I painted my kitchen cabinets way back in the 1970s. I used oil-based enamel, which went on smoothly. It looked so good that I moved on to the utility room cabinets and all of the woodwork in the house. I painted the range hood with the same paint. It held up perfectly.
It's amazing how picking just the right colour for a cabinet can change the whole look of your room. Really well done 👏 👍🌟🥰❤️

❤ My first time watching your videos! I’m a 77+ yo lady who has lived in 17 homes over my 57 years of marriage! Our homes have ranged from 3 historic period homes to 1950’s era homes to new construction homes; all over USA and even in the Middle East. I have refurbished many of our homes; as well as restoration of the 3 historic homes; painting and restoration of wood floors, trim and walls. It’s been a whirlwind of an adventure and truly an amazing journey! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!
Btw: I can only thank my mother who taught her 8 children to become knowledgeable in restorative home care/design. We grew up in an 1810 brick colonial historic house in a very small historic town in PA. My mom was also an artist. So she taught us well‼️

Amazing job!! These standard big box store cabinets are in a zillion homes across America. Did you know you can rehang the doors inside out!! Yes!! They are the perfect shaker cabinet door if you just turn them around!! I'd love to see you do another kitchen using this tip. It's a game changer for anyone who ever dreamed of having shaker cabinets. They may already have them and not even realize it!!!!

This is a very smart transformation. The price tag is amazing. I don’t think you mentioned that not only is the dark colour on the cabinets stylish and contemporary but it’s incredibly practical. It would not occur to me that I could spray paint a cooker hood, that is a great tip.

A thought about the water putty- a syringe to shoot some right into the hole would keep you from having to tap the cake batter multiple times. I love this product and have used it sooooo successfully!
