Addy , You did a remarkable job! Your dad and I both love it! Watching you work with that finish nailer, he says he can tell that's his daughter! He is proud of what do! ❤️ mom
What a fantastic Mom you must be June to have brought up such a kind hearted daughter. ❤
She truly is amazing and I also love to watch her creations, including her blog posts, and all of her other content. ♥️
@@TheMinimalistTherapisttrust me , by the grace of God! He has been my only guide. Blessings to you!
Didn’t y’all live in PA also? Did you move?

Finally! A video showing it's possible painting cabinets without having to uninstal them. Great job!
As long as those hinges are INSIDE, it works well to leave them installed to finish.
This is absolutely beautiful!
THIS type of REAL budget friendly makeover is what we need to see more of!
Thank you 😊😊
I am 65 yrs young and have my own home. I have been thinking about painting my kitchen cabinets for a long time, you have made this look like a project that I can do thanks to the paint and primer you used. Thank you! New subscriber here..
Same Here! I too am 65 years young and want to paint my cabinets! Such a helpful video. Thank you!
I am interested in painting my cabinets also and I just happen to be 65 too. I guess after so long I need something new and fresh looking
Ok, I’m only 61 but I’m jumping on that band wagon!!
Soon to be 67 here 😊 and several cabinets that need repainting.
Happy to see the new paint bonding product 😊
@@kimhoover296 😁
That railing is called plate rail, u put plates & decor behind those. Enjoying this video!
I’m in the process of doing exactly this. I’m disabled so it’s taking me a long time but the difference is incredible! Your parents are lucky to have you! Blessings to you and your family!
Very nice. Another idea would be to put up a couple of wood shelves where the coffee station is to break up the white and be functional as well as decorative.
Paint is the cheapest way to update a room affordably and your update looks so fresh and clean. Great job!
Wow, you did a fantastic job in your parent’s kitchen. The transformation is huge on such a tiny price. I love it…
You got ALLLLL of that white with one gallon each of Primer and Paint? This turned out high end beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤
I like the idea of the coffee nook instead of a desk. I do wonder if the fridge used to fit there?
The makeover looks great.
You could paint the small trolley and add new doors so that it matches the room. Its just the right size.
I love how your mom's kitchen came out. I have the exact kind of non-wood cabinets and painting them and not using that Valspar primer made my paint come off quickly especially around my cabinet hardware. I also have those railings up above that you removed. I may decide to do that too. Doing it under $100 is incredible. I'm always afraid of remodel or updating because of cost. You inspired me to do it without worry about money! Thank you!
That’s beautiful. I have the same kind of cabinets and didn’t know how I was going to paint my kitchen cabinets. Thank you so much my kitchen is black and white the white cabinets are going to make a big difference. You’re such a sweet daughter. ❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you painted the cabinet in the wash room. It stuck out like a sore thumb. Looking at the kitchen towards the laundry room. Well done to you both.
Her new kitchen looks beautiful. Great job.
The only thing I would do to this beautiful kitchen, is change out the "boob" light over the sink area. That is very dated. Loved seeing this transformation.
Great job!:did you remove the wallpaper before painting?
That’s what I was wondering
@@courtneyharrel5500I think she painted right over it. Beginner and budget friendly project I’m assuming 🤷🏽♀️
The plate railing you removed above the stove is for storing decorative or seasonal plates. It's about $25 for a 4 foot piece. You might try to sell the pieces on marketplace.
What a great makeover! 2 suggestions- the coffee cart looks great, just needs to be painted- either white to be part of the cabinets or black. And the plant on top of the cabinets...keep in mind it will dry out fast..heat rises. To avoid having to climb up there so often.. put plant in pretty pot run a long length of yarn, cord or rope from the middle of the potting soil through the drain hole. then find a 9x13 cake pan with a lid.. cut 2 holes- set the pot on top of lid & run cord through a center hole.. then have a 2nd hole big enough for a watering can spout.. fill the cake pan with water..the plant will suck up water as needed. You will have to experiment how long it takes to use a whole pan of water. Should be at least a few weeks. Oh, another tip..lay wax paper across the whole top of the cabinets.. you'll be happy when you go to clean & just have to throw the paper away... because grease & dust rise too. Can't wait to see your next project.
Great channel!!!! ❤
Fantastic ideas! Thank you
I actually painted old vinyl topped counters, stamped them for a slight pattern and then covered them with 3 coats of water based polyurethane and they came out great and wore really well, cheap fix for old dirty worn counters!
That kitchen came out fantastic!! You did a wonderful job, your mom must be so happy with the transformation! ❤
You have a way of brightening up a room...with paint and with your personality! What a great start for your parents and their new place .
Painting the cabinets, made the kitchen. It updated it. I bet Mommy is happy with it❤️
I had my doubts on the total white but it turned out surprisingly clean looking and refreshed!
You can always chalk paint the little rolling cart to match the baskets or a terra cotta look. It fits the space so well.
I would build a butcher block top on the desk area to make the counter space even and add more prep space. Love the finished product!
Nice face-lift!!! Can't believe u painted over the wall paper. Nice job 😊
Everything looks great!! In the past, paint over wallpaper was too heavy and pulled the wallpaper away from the wall. Who knows now days with so many new items available! You inspired me!! Thanks for a wonderful step by step makeover!! Love it!!
The lowered counter may not have been a desk, but instead a baking counter. The lower counter height allows you to look down into the larger Kitchen Aid stand mixer bowl and also can be a better height for rolling out pastry in the home kitchen. And with no cabinet below you can stand closer to your work surface.
This is such a surprise. The kitchen doesn’t look like it did before the paint. Everything looks so fresh and clean. Great job.😊
The makeover is beautiful and I appreciated all the tips regarding the primer and such. 😃
Love this!! Just wish you installed a cabinet door above the stove. Storage is storage
It would have been great at the end to show the before and after again just before you signed off! I love how updated just putting coat of paint and covering up the wallpaper made the place feel so fresh
Adaline, you always amaze me! Your talents and your hard working ethic is incredible. This transformation at such a low cost, WOW! I hope you are all able to do a lot of fun things while you are there.
clearly you have missed your calling.. You should be an interior decorator.. WOWWOWOOOWOW this transformation is incredible... looks amazing.. makes the kitchen look even bigger than before, and that plant is to die for.. BRAVO !
I am floooored!!! This is possibly the BEST low budget kitchen makeover I have seen! I have never been more inspired...and DEF going to try the Valspar. New sub😘
In the coffee nook I would remove that piece of counter top and find a piece of furniture curio or build a piece for the coffee station. She could even add some Mexican terracotta tiles. But I love what you accomplished ❤❤❤❤
I believe that nook was once where the refrigerator went. Great job putting this all together. The chairs are lovely
I absolutely love what you did with that kitchen ❤
Absolutely beautiful!!!! I would love to do this in my kitchen! Were the walls wallpapered? If so, did you remove it or just prime & paint over top? I cringe removing wallpaper because it is so messy, and my downstairs bathroom is completely wallpapered … which I am procrastinating changing because of the mess. My husband feels it should be removed before painting but if that primer covers it…I may tackle that bathroom!!!! Ty so much for sharing!!!
I have painted over wallpaper several times. To me it's much easier. I ruined the walls in 2 rooms trying to get that glue backing paper over. I can't tell the difference. The most important thing is filling in the seams. There are several how to videos. And I just followed those & it came out great.
The transformation is amazing and I love the coffee station. Our kitchen cabinets need to be modernized so I'm thrilled you found this primer! Thank you for sharing and cheers from Canada. 🌟💖🌟
Wonderful job!! I'm always amazed at all the great things you do. You have such supportive parents, too. God bless all of you.
I can watch this all day long …. 😊 I think I would have left that shelf open over the stove for some cute canisters or something. That coffee ☕️ station looks great. Love the picture, but I hate that plant. It reminds me of the 70’s, everyone had that same plant in the same basket.
What a blessing you are to Mom! Great job Adaline!👏🏼👏🏼
The picture looks nice there.I would have made it a little functional.maybe little shelf for coffee mugs and accessories for coffee.Black counters would be a great accent.Over the sink I would do a small pendent light that hangs down, also a hidden doorway to laundry room that looks like a bookshelf. And a garden window for your herbs at sink area.😊❤
A coffee bar was perfect!
Of course, it’s exactly what I would have done! 😉😍
We’re buying a house with orange colored wood cabinets-they go buh-bye the day after closing!
I’m going to remember that Valspar primer! 👍🏼
It looks gorgeous!!!!!! How lucky your momma is to have such a talented daughter. This is truly breathtakingly beautiful honey bunny.
Oh this turned out absolutely amazing I hope your mom truly enjoys it❤
Fantastic ! Love the coffee bar. Great job.
These kind of videos YOU do are My Favorite! You are so creative & your frugal but Beautiful Style I really appreciate. Happy for your parents & their new home as well. Much Love from NC❤
You did an amazing job! What a beautiful transformation.
We are in the process of buying a home, and the cabinets and ALL wood walls NEED to be painted. So, TYVM for sharing your treasure find of Valspar. I will definitely use it. ❤
Beautiful! Clever and so affordable.
love the print you put in that little nook very gracious and uplifted.
The chairs look great!
WOW!WOW!WOW!WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful! What a difference.
Wow! The kitchen turned out amazing!!
Incredible transformation!! Love the bar stools & the picture!!🥰
Great job! I love the print on the wall over the desk area.
I love this. I have been looking for videos to show a simple makeover for a kitchen like mine and this is exactly what I was looking for ❤
So much counter space around the sink, especially! Love it.
Love the kitchen so much ! Completely changed the look 😮 Great job !
Picture in that space was great. Spice rack in that space would have been nice too and handy to use. I do like the coffee bar too. Kitchen looks fantastic after the renew.
A small green wreath (faux eucalyptus maybe), hanging from a ribbon, would look cute in that space you created above the stove!
Yes, it needs something!
Fire hazard. Maybe something tile instead
You should be proud of yourself. What a remarkable transformation on a small budget. You were good to show us the primer phase. On the next project, I hope you’ll show at least some of the painting phase, including how you handled the backsplash and walls. Your decision to leave the chair seats was inspired. They came out looking appropriate to the project and so expensive. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Looks fabulous!!
Wondering a few things:
Did you pull off the wallpaper or prime & paint right over it?
How do you reach the plants so high up to water them regularly?
The metal stove hood: It gets greasy & dirty pretty easily, so how is the primer & paint for scrub-cleaning?
How many gallons of primer & paint did you use? 2 coats of paint would be needed.
A gallon of paint or primer is $70 + tax up here in Canada, so it would cost a few hundred on primer & paint alone but still worth it for such a transformation.
Looks good!!
@birgip.m.1236
Thanks for asking those questions! I had the exact same questions in mind 😊
The nook came out beautifully ❤
How beautiful! I’m sure your parents are so proud of you. Your tips are so helpful.
It’s beautiful you did a great job.
Great refresh!
Absolutely… GORGEOUS!!!
Good job!!!👏🏼 👍🙌🤍
Impressive! I painted the cabinets in a small kitchenette and that cost me $50!
Love, love, love this! 💚
Great makeover, your Mum must be so pleased
It's all so cute! Thanks for telling us about the primer. Sounds great!
What a difference! Beautiful
Looks great! The price was amazing, for the look! 🏡
I'm new and so grateful to have found you! I'm facing a similar update in my kitchen and knowing about that primer is gold! My cabinets have a weird, southwestern medallion in the middle of each so painting is going to take massive amounts of patience. I can do it if I don't have to sand every nook and cranny! Cleaning is enough - with a little sanding.
One thing I can't help but mention - your parents refrigerator is really cutting into the room. It's beautiful and probably new - perhaps they could sell it and get a counter depth one? I had this problem in my old kitchen and the change made a world of difference. Plus, I didn't actually sacrifice any space in the fridge! I'd say it had at least as much impact on the look and feel of the kitchen as refacing and adding functionality did.
Thanks again for the info and inspiration!
Love that you did a great job
chairs look so classy yet elegant... great work..
You did an amazing job young lady!!
I think the cart is perfect!
