I watch this with my husband and he is like I am amazed with that color and I hate green but does two tones are so peaceful looking green!!😱😱😱 , lol I told him this is why I like to watch her 😂😂😂😘
BEAUTIFUL job. What kind of caulking did you use around the toilet, floor? I also noticed you used some type of filler around the medicine cabinet? Thank you for sharing!
Kristen McGowan this is amazing! We just moved to our first house together and one of the bathrooms floors is really damaged. I think this would be the solution!! The only thing I wander is: what to do if the tiles are bigger or smaller than the stickers? Would it be a hassle?
My Scottish mother would have loved this makeover! Leave it to the Scots (or daughter of one) to find a way to redo an entire bathroom for under $500 so beautifully!
As an FYI, I used contact paper to repair a countertop in the house I am renting. I used a marble type as well and then put a coat of Varathane Clear finish over it to waterproof. Three years later, it is still holding up exceptionally well. I would DEFINITELY recommend putting that waterproof finish on it as it is a bathroom and damp.
how will you remove it when you move out if you put a clear finish over it? As in how hard would the removal process be? I'm considering it but my concerns initially lied with the fact that it may not be 100% waterproof, so the idea of using a clear finish is great, but now i have another concern, which is removing the contact paper after moving out
@@Beyondzz In all fairness, this was a counter repair -- the landlord didn't support the front part of the counter (the part that curls over from the top to the front) and the kids cracked it while cleaning the mirror. He started having a bit of a "hissy fit" over it (he is difficult like that, but hates paying for any real repairs) so I fixed it myself. I put wood behind to support the "curl over" and patched it. Then I covered the counter with a VERY similar looking "Contact" paper. I don't plan on removing it. But, from experience, it will still come off if you want it to. The "glue" underneath is still the same and it was only two coats of "waterproofing" so it is a bit stiffer but still "liftable". My suggestion would be to take a small piece and try it in an inconspicuous spot and test it. If I get a chance, I will check myself for you. Most of the time, if it is a good improvement, landlords really don't care. If it is outlandish, then they get more difficult.
First of all, this video has inspired me so much to re do our hideous bathrooms, even though I am not talented in these things haha. Second, y’all are such a cute family! I couldn’t stop smiling when your parents came in. They are so sweet and supportive.
We have more products on the website: wallcorners.com/product-category/wall-art/dining-room-wall-art/. In addition, we also have our own printing factory, similar products, you can visit and we can make products as you like.
Please give us an update on how the floor and countertops hold up against water and humidity from the shower. I want to do this but I want to know how often I will need to redo it. Thank you for such a satisfying video!
Do it! I've had the paper on my kitchen counters in two different houses and they held up for almost 2 years in the first one and 1.5 so far in the second one.
The floor will hold up for at least 5 years. It’s a thick piece of plastic with the design and I have had some in the kitchen for over ten years now we’re about to replace. You don’t have to be careful with them like tile either
The previous owner put these before he sold the house. Sticky stuff on the back didn’t last very long and shortly afterwards they started coming up and becoming loose. I wouldn’t recommend these
We have marble peel and stick in our bathroom and they have lasted 5 years now with no problems at all! Great product! You did a wonderful job for your mom ❤️
It’s really beautiful. What a nice gift for your mom. I love how the bath mats and towel even matches the shower area you weren’t able to makeover. Great job. I love it
The only thing I'd do differently is put a coat of primer on the cabinet and door before painting it. I know they're supposed to be a primer and painter in one, but a coat of primer will help it last longer. Great job! I love the floor.
I do see some details were missed and maybe a second coat would’ve been used . I would paint the inside of the door , don’t like the diff look when it’s opened , not necessarily the inside of the cabinet . I did that in my kitchen.’also raise the shower curtain to the top and get an extra long one it will make the shower seem taller
WOW! I just want to say you don't need to spend $10,000 + on a bathroom. You made it very budget friendly. Thank you it will help me when I do my bathroom.
I actually liked the before, sans the ugly countertop and flooring. A fresh shower curtain, new art pieces, plantlife, and decor would have changed it a lot. Still, it's fun to update our spaces once in a while.
Before and after is really amazing. The stick tiles and stick designer counter really transformed the bathroom. The paint coices were effective as well. Overall, great job!
You seem like a great daughter & I could tell your parents are very proud.:) The fact that you did all of the work yourself is pretty special. If for some reason the contact paper doesn't hold up you could always paint the counter top using a faux marble technique. I've done a few projects in that style & it always looks beautiful. Not that difficult either. I'm not saying the contact paper won't hold up. I have no experience with it so I'm just saying in case it doesn't.:) Everything looks so fresh. Really nice job!!!
I suggest that you update the towel bar on the wall when you fix the light in the future. Also a tip for the built in wall shelf, IKEA sells some small "pluggs" that are made out of plastic that you use to fill holes on adjustable shelves. It would look really good if the holes were less visible. I have them in my open wardrobe and it just takes it to a new level!
Love her parents, so cute. Before applying the contact paper on the counter. Get a friend who knows about plumbing. This way the sinks can be removed ; and the paper can go on then cut the circle shape of sink. Great job. New subscriber. Stay safe Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Tauna Calise except that it often leaves behind a sticky residue which is a pain to get off. I’ve had to deal with contract paper other people have put down in cabinets and it was horrible
I am blown away by this makeover. I've been watching and reading about bathroom upgrades that cost thousands of dollars, and yours LOOKS like those. It was fascinating to watch you do this upgrade step by step. I can't believe the floor and marble contact paper. They turned out so well!! You are talented, and I'm excited to have found your channel. Thanks for sharing!!
What I love so much about most of your make over, is for your Parents. Specially your Mom who is always your number one fan ❤️🥰 Happy Mother’s Day to your Mommy!
You did a beautiful job. I am a new homeowner and there are things I need to do on my own to save money and you have inspired me to get it done. Thanks for the awesome video!
I am in love with the color you chose for the cabinets! At first I was skeptical but after everything was together and the little pop of pink bath rugs made it look so clean and modern. Well done!
Beautiful! Wow, you’re so talented at renovating & interior design! Personally, I’d probably swap out the pink rugs and towel for something more neutral, but that’s just my preference. Your parents are oh so lucky to have such a sweet & generous daughter.
Wow! What a “handyman” you are!! I can’t believe you did that all by yourself including changing the door lock! How sweet doing this for your parents! Loved it. ❤️❤️❤️
Love that your parents they are so encouraging & sweet. I love seeing your parents facial reaction. You can see how amazed they are with all your room transformations. They are both so cute. They are so proud of you and it shows genuinely. You are a sweet & generous daughter with an artistic talent. Thank you for sharing.

You give ideas and budgets friendly DIY , since not all of us can afford a full blown ronovation and hire people for the job. Thank you for this! I just discovered your channel a month ago!
How terrific it all looks! I recently used Minwax gel stain, to repaint my vanity bottom cabinets a darker color; no need to remove the door fronts; it's the consistency of Elmer's glue and then gently put in brush strokes. New door handles help also. Replaced all the hardware , faucet, towel racks, etc,to match in dark also. Kept cream colored sink, toilet, tub surround, but repainted walls. No need for $4000 makeover. You are a great inspiration!
I like how the rose tea pink color tied all the colors together, it gives a very earthy tone to the room. I just painted my office space this rose tea color and am now noticing how popular it is.
Currently waiting on my Amazon order of peel n stick flooring, marble contact paper, new hardware, shelving and mirror for my Moms spare bathroom remodel. She told me I can do whatever I want so I’m super excited! This video was really inspiring, I’m glad your parents liked it and looked so fun! Love the color scheme! Nice work 👍
As someone who’s married to a renovation/construction man-giiirrrrlllll you did an Amazing job!!! Keep up the amazing work chick👌🏼 Someday you could have your own business Lol your parents are adorable!💕 Love their reactions-priceless and soo sweet💖
Folks are cool. Their princess is totally all-in-one - beautiful, charming, smart. Makeover is stunnnnnnnning! I'm so inspired, I'm even in a better mood now. Thanks a lot for sharing!
This is a gorgeous makeover, what a sweet thing to do for your parents! However... Those cabinets and faucets are not builder grade from the 90's. I just moved into a 90's house with all the builder grade finishes, still, and the bathroom faucets are all chrome with the awful plastic crystal knob in the middle. Brushed nickel became popular enough to be builder grade in the 2000's. And cabinets that detailed are definitely above builder grade.
Wow! Girl discovered your channel tonight while mending and your work on this bathroom totally impressed me and gave me some inspo for my own bathroom and home. And then to top it off you did it yourself and your parents…adorable. They are so so proud of you.
Two things: 1. Your dad’s accent = 🥰 2. You can either frame out the mirror or pull it down and replace with two mirrors over the sinks instead to add to the modern look.
This is so inspirational! I have 90’s bathrooms and I love these ideas. Thank you so much for making the effort to capture your makeover project and sharing it for the benefit of all of us. 😊
I loved how happy and proud your parents are and clearly they know how talented you are. We just bought a house and can’t change the kitchen floor so I am definitely going to try the stick tiles, at least for now.
WOW! You've done amazingly well, it looks like a complete change, not just a make-over! And the new look bathroom does indeed look modern and chic, well done!
It looks amazing, you've done a phenomenal job. I can't believe you're so young and you have such an eye for design. You should be a professional interior designer.
I really love the color you choose for the cabinets. I didn't think I would, it's not typically a color I would gravitate towards. However, it looks AWESOME in this space and I really like it. Very inspiring!!
I just bought those floor tiles to do my bathroom! I think I'm gonna try a green vanity too now! Good job. I love how supportive your parents were. So cool!
This turned out amazing! I’m impressed! The colors look so good together. I never would have thought to put that shade of green and pink together, but somehow they compliment each other so well. Also, the door color worked so well with the other colors, too. And the patterned floor tiles added so much interest!
Thanks for the encouraging video, less expensive options, and showing the process. it gave me the motivation to update my own bathroom tonight, and now I'm happy to use it❤
I have sticky tiles in my bathroom. I have jumped out in the time after a bath and washed my pups with out any of the tiles coming up. But then again, I didn't get super cheap tiles. A good box of sticky tiles of 12 is around 25$ or so. They are a great budget friendly addition. I would recommend to anyone
I've used sticky tiles in the bathroom and they held up great. I have a bathmat outside of the shower to step on when I get out, and I don't have any small children that splash onto the floor. I always make sure that the shower liner is in the tub when I take a shower, and have taught my son to do the same. Perhaps that's why I've never had a problem.
I know this is one of your older videos but I had to pull this up now since i'm just about to do a makeover of our bathroom! You are such an impressive lady and your parents must be so proud of what you pull of in each of your projects. I know i am!
Love this make-over on a budget, planning on doing my bathroom and now will consider painting the door with an accent color- such great ideas! Thanks for sharing
Beautiful job. However, I would have used a white or gray throw rugs. You are definitely an inspiration to us all. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Hi, Kristen. I just caught this video in my feed. Great job! I loved your parents' reactions. Priceless! I learned a few tips which I may try for own my bathroom as I too would like to stay on a budget. Thank you!
WOW. Can I just say how impressed I am with how EASY you make every task look? How do you paint and keep yourself (and everything around you) so clean and drip free? When I paint, (and I painted every room in my old house at least three times, so I know what I am doing) my room(s), hallway and I all look like one of those funny memes of what happens when Dad is home alone caring for the toddlers- the house has been covered in paint, makeup and/or flour./cocoa, whatever else ~Lol. Well done!
HOW COOL IS THIS MAKEOVER! I’m still in shock!! You all need to try this on your bathrooms!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Amazing job..each n everything is amazing..❤

Dad's accent: A comforting hug. I bet that his bedtime storytelling was THE BEST! 😆🥰🥰🥰
I'm guessing it maybe Fife somewhere or maybe a little further west?
Neil McGarrity its a scottish accent
Love the accent!
@@gracerose709 Hi Grace. Yeah I know. Fife is a county in Scotland. It sits just over the Forth Road Bridge north of Edinburgh.

Didn't expect a Scottish dad, give him a hug from home x
I love how sweet and supportive your parents are! They seem like such genuinely good people.
Tip when painting cabinets: Scrub the surfaces with a good cleaner, lightly sand if you can, and use a bonding primer If you want the paint to last.
I was wondering about that
Yes! Her cabinets are probably going to scratch the paint off.

Wow! Girl discovered your channel tonight while mending and your work on this bathroom totally impressed me and gave me some inspo for my own bathroom and home. And then to top it off you did it yourself and your parents…adorable. They are so so proud of you.
Two things:
1. Your dad’s accent = 🥰
2. You can either frame out the mirror or pull it down and replace with two mirrors over the sinks instead to add to the modern look.
I was thinking of framing the mirror also!
I'm in love with the paint colors. I thought she'd lost her marbles when she added those pink touches but DAAAANG!! 😍😍😍
This is so inspirational! I have 90’s bathrooms and I love these ideas. Thank you so much for making the effort to capture your makeover project and sharing it for the benefit of all of us. 😊
Your channel is incredible and I'm glad you're sharing your gift with the world.
Young lady, you did an amazing job! I know your mother was truly blown AWAY!!! And your dad👏🏾🤗 great video & yes budget friendly. Love it!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is the best bathroom makeover I have ever seen!! Congrats 🍾
I could tell that this was done with so much love!!!! I enjoyed every bit of this video and every stroke of the paint brush! Thank you so much!!
I really love the color you choose for the cabinets. I didn't think I would, it's not typically a color I would gravitate towards. However, it looks AWESOME in this space and I really like it. Very inspiring!!
You are such a genius, your parents are so blessed to have you. You have done such a brilliant job and I applaud you for that.
I just bought those floor tiles to do my bathroom! I think I'm gonna try a green vanity too now! Good job. I love how supportive your parents were. So cool!
How do you clean those floor tiles ? I like it but I'm afraid of the water on them 😕
This turned out amazing! I’m impressed! The colors look so good together. I never would have thought to put that shade of green and pink together, but somehow they compliment each other so well. Also, the door color worked so well with the other colors, too. And the patterned floor tiles added so much interest!
That was my baby shower colors over 13 years ago! Hahaha. I wanted to be a little different. Mint (pastel) green and pink. 💚💓
omg your parents are so stinking cute! Especially your dad with that lovely scottish accent :) so sweet how you do all these updates for them.
The transformation is remarkable. Can’t believe such budget could make a huge difference in the old style bathroom.
Nice! When you said, "I can't get over the contact paper" (or something like that), I was thinking the exact same thing!
I love the remodel. Great colors, & your parents are adorable. Off to look at my own bathroom!
You should absolutely do a house tour. This is beautiful
Thanks for the encouraging video, less expensive options, and showing the process. it gave me the motivation to update my own bathroom tonight, and now I'm happy to use it❤
Next time contact papering a countertop start in the middle, then work out to each side for a seamless finish.
But she did a good job.
@@helenbaxter5270 she did do a great job! but she mentioned it was difficult so I think Cat Y was just suggesting a way it could be a little easier!
I would like to see how the sticky tiles look after water getting in between them.
I just thought the same.
they don't hold up to that at all, unfortunately they're just not practical for a bathroom
@@69mwagner yeah really depends on the quality, the cheap ones aren't going to last at all.
LOVE! What a difference! I'm especially loving the pops of blush. They pair so nicely with the forest green cabinets.
Joyce Cochran she probably used the rugs they already had.
Hi, Kristen. I just caught this video in my feed. Great job! I loved your parents' reactions. Priceless! I learned a few tips which I may try for own my bathroom as I too would like to stay on a budget. Thank you!
The COLORS are the best! And everything is so well-appointed with sensitive details. Great job.
Well done!
😆 telling her parents they look younger in the new room! 😆 so cute! Lovely makeover!!!
When the before bathroom is better than both of my bathrooms now
Ruby Bewbsday amen
Ruby Bewbsday 🤣😂🤣
Yea, the bathroom was already nice
Ruby Bewbsday I know, right?
😭😂😂😂
Fabulous job, what a daughter!
