    I'm only 32 and been having lower back pain since 7 years now. Comes and goes. Tried almost all the moves while watching this video and I felt my back snap. The relief is awesome. I'll be doing this everyday! Thanks you so much! From Nigeria.

    Cannot thank you enough for this video giving me pictures of exercises I need to help with my sciatic pain. Am positive it is being caused by a herniated disc problem because back in 2002 I was a flight attendant and dislocated a disc and spent 3 months in physical therapy. At age 76 I did something I should never do and picked up fireplace logs and carried them across the lawn and put them up on the porch at my son’s house. That was 6 months ago and went and got the steroid shots in back and hip with did nothing for me like it had in past years. Am going to start doing these exercises and will continue till I finally get total relief from all the pain I have been going through. Am subscribed for quite a while to your videos now and am so blessed to have found you and your videos. God Bless🙏🙏🙏

    These streches are really miracle makers. I did many of these streches and exercises shown here when I had a terrible pain in the lower back. At the beginning it was pretty hard to do because of the pain but I didn't quit it and kept on doing everyday. Day by day the pain reduced and I completely got out of it. Now my lower back feels much better and healthier than before. Thank You Dr. Mandell! You are a great expert.

    Thank you so much. I had decompression surgery 10 yrs ago, pain recently returned, started some of these movements and it’s definitely eased significantly. I am 75 yrs young and I am very active and want to stay that way! Really appreciate all you give Doc! 😊

    Last night I woke up with terrible sciatic pain on my left leg, did EFT, rubbbed with magnets, nothing helped, had to popped some pain killers , it never hurt so bad. I decided to look in your channel for help and I just did 5 of the stretches you mentioned , feeling so good already.     When I was in my late twenties I was plagued with lower back pain. I went to a chiropractor and he took an x-ray of my lower back. The lower part of my spinal column had a curve to the left looking from the back. My pelvis wasn't level it was low on the left and high on the right. The chiropractor worked with me for about 3 months and then took another x-ray. The X-ray showed that the curve in the spinal column was gone and that pelvis was level. He gave me the same stretch exercises you showed. As long as I do the stretches I'm fine but if I stop for two or three months I notice the tightness coming back and sometimes a little pain. Without a doubt the stretches work. Thank you for posting this video. I hope a lot of people will try the stretches before they think of an operation.

    You are right Dr Mandell 👍 it’s very painful, my sister suffered a lot from her lower back disc problems and her doctor ask her to make operation which she refused, so he asked her to use the wheelchair instead of practicing your amazing stretches and techniques you are giving here that I’m going to share them to my sister✌️ God bless you 🙏🌷🌿💕

      I've severe lower back pain which radiates to the back of both legs down to feet causing pain numbness & cold feet making it extremely difficult to walk l have Faith that I one of the exercises will heal me

    I thank God every day for you, this particular video addresses my back pain. I have seen countless chiropractors and pain managent doctors and I ended up getting my spine punctured and ended up in the ER and develop neuritis. May God bless you now and always 🙏

    Feeling wonderful after doing all these exercises.. I knew a few of them but forgot about them.. great collection. I've been blaming my mattress for the pain stiffness in my hips when I wake up. It's stiff for 20 minutes... I'm going to do before bed... hope this changes my life. Great Dr ... helping so many with simple tips... thanks Dr

    Instead of taking meds, I come here and watch your videos and do the recommended stretches. You are very good with your recommendations. Ex: Using the hairbrush on traps, I do it daily, esp. when im on the computer. I tap left and right, as hard as I can then lift my shoulders, then release.It works!! When I feel numbing or tightness start, i get my trusted hairbrush. Your neck, shoulder, mid/lower back, sciatica, piriformis stretches are all wonderful. You are awesome

    Doctor Mandela I just recently found you on RUclips about 1-2 days ago. I’m sharing several of your information teaching to my wife right now while she’s sleeping. She needs help with the sciatic nerve & hip pain she has everyday. So I’m sending her this 22 minute presentation on your stretching positions. Also I’ve been having problems with right side sciatic nerve, hip joint and right outside area of my right knee. So I will be incorporating these stretches too. Along with your morning drink of apple pieces, garlic, lemon juice, turmeric, olive oil, cayenne pepper, black pepper & 1/2 cup of water and blend in mixer. I’ve been doing hydrogen peroxide ear drops for about 1 1/2years and gargling with it for about 5 years. It was good to hear you talk about it. An elderly man in his middle 70’s told me about the hydrogen peroxide ear drops & my next door neighbor who is around years old told me about gargling with it about 5 years ago. Also I’ve been doing pressing on a thumb nerve in meaty part of hand and doing the breathing exercises in through my nose and out through my mouth. I’ve listened to your class on getting rid of the fear or anxiety on Covid-19. I’m not afraid I’m a Christian... 2 Tim., 1:7 God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind, but I wanted to hear what you had to say. And it was spot on! I believe the masks are a pre-mark of the beast or a dress rehearsal for the New World Order! On the other hand the Christians will be raptured out before the Mark of the Beast comes around like in Revelation Chapter 13.
    Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve subscribed to you & hit the “black” bell.

    I have many mystery regarding my health and you have been a blessing. I’ve been ignored by many doctors and I have been having to do many research on my own to help myself. I accidentally injured myself years ago rollerblading and i feel i did pinch my sciatica nerve. This has helped a bit. Thank you :)
    I hope my doctors take me serious about my other health issues, but for now, i find your content has helped alleviated my pain! , Thank you 🙏

      ​@@Tinyteacher1111 I'm really sorry to hear that. It must have been very difficult. I hope you are feeling better :) ! and yes, he is amazing! I have felt very alone in my journey to feeling better cause I do know something is off. i feel i underlying issue with something since i'm prone to infections :( So, now that i'm following him, I noticed his explanation of things is helping me understand how I can help myself. It does provide people some hope since i've only gotten one diagnosis for my liver but it doesn't explain my other pains. I eat modertely well and I don't drink. So, i feel so greatful he has detox videos and what not :D

    Thank you so much for this information. I have had this for many years and now that I'm older and really pushed myself by moving halfway across the country with no help, it really took a toll on my sciatica. I do not take any meds, but just doing the stretches I used to do has not been working. Now I can understand, how the option of these different alternatives can help me. Thank you. At 74, having had a broken back in two places at age 24, I can't complain. Everything I do is based around natural methods and this helps me more than you know! You are a blessing.

    I am blown away how you released this video on the exact day I pinched a nerve in my lower back and have been miserable for 3 days! This is the second time your gift has helped me; the first time was for a neck spasm and, once again, you released your passive resistance exercises for neck spasms that very same day!     Morning Doc A. This video is made for me. Since 2005, I could no longer work due to 60% of my lumbar discs being herniate bulging and degenerated. And take several pain medicines daily to minimize the pain, which fluctuates daily between 6/10 on the pain scale. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. PS Life sucks I'm only 55. Thank you for your kindness and video for all. God Bless

      I can relate and im in my late 40s. Got a heirnated disk spinal stenosis and extrusion ill try these and keep researching for answers i dont wanna take more meds i heard kratom is good i dont want a surgery but well see what happens

    I am a 62 year old woman with type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism and severe anemia at 8.3. I have no energy but I can do some of these exercises but the ones on the floor I can't due to pain trying to get on the floor and off of the floor. Some of those exercises that I can do I do while laying in bed and sometimes it helps and sometimes it don't. I do thank you for your time in making this video.

    Thank you SO MUCH!! I’ve been in pain for 3 days! I can never get into my chiropractor when I need to. I also always seem to injure myself on Fridays and have to suffer all weekend until I can call for an appt on Monday which are always a couple more days out. Sciatic pain is the worst! Legs were so tight and painful I could hardly even look down! After a few stretches the pain in my legs that was down to my ankles moved back up to the hips! Yes! Thank you!!! ❤️

      I'm a 'Friday after 5:00 p.m.' ailment person too, plus I often have that problem added on to a major holiday too. For example, I just spent my Thanksgiving 2022 in the nearest ER, having had lower back pain/spasms for 3 days prior and ever since as well. There's no calling for appointments until Monday morning and some may be weeks away still. Our healthcare system is set up to be manageable for doctors, but is often not so for the patient. It needs to somehow be manageable for BOTH. For many patients, help needs to come much SOONER; otherwise they suffer more during the delay and sometimes have a longer recovery because they weren't able to be treated soon enough. 'Do no harm' still applies, and sometimes delay of treatment is clearly doing harm. Waiting at urgent care places is first come/first served, not triaged in any continuous way. Some patients can wait 1-1/2 hours easier than others. Even ERs can have long waiting times. I wish we had everyday healthcare rapidly available 24/7 by doing healthcare providers' shifts differently so they still get necessary time off and normal sleep. Health problems don't happen according to the calendar and should be able to be promptly adressed, independently from it.

    Fabulous! You make so much sense. Just finished a round of PT for sciatica pain, but watching this I see what I am doing wrong. Concentrating to much on the numbers, 2 sets of 15 etc. instead of holding the stretches. Will be changing that in the morning and adding a few more in. Thanks Doc!

    Wow, Dr. Mandell! I was surprised to see that at least 50% of the stretches you recommended are the same ones I've been doing. I actually thought I'd made them up, lol. They always make my lower back pain & sciatica feel better. Hopefully I can avoid surgery. Thank you for all you do

    Today is my 4th day of my lower back exercises given by Dr. Mendell. It has improved my back alot. Since I am suffering from all joint pains for last 15 years . Going from one doctor to another doctor...but no relief. I am feeling so much relief now. Just begin the exercises for 30 sec. For those who are in pains....then gradually increase 40 second. These exercises are also helping for upper back. Hats off to you...Dr. Thank you so much.

    Once again, thank you, Doctor! I’ve suffered from serious back issues since birth. I was born with both of my legs wrapped around my head. My parents were told that I would be that the rest of my life but three days later I was laid out flat and normal (?) all by myself. Work injuries throughout my construction career have not helped. The smartest thing I’ve ever bought was a inversion table. Not a night goes by that I don’t look forward to your videos!

    Oh yes. I can relate to this. It’s awful. I’ve been watching what I’ve been eating. See if this brings it on. I keep walking, and do, do exercises, these stretches I’ve been doing since the sciatic pain started up yesterday. So far so, so. Thank you so very much for this video. It is very helpful.     I'm 64 and attend a yoga class twice a week and we do most of these positions. It takes practices, so don't be discouraged if you can't do some of the more difficult positions when you first start out.

    I will be 80 in September. ,I kept waiting for your video to come up with something to sell me at the end. I was surprised when I realized you truly, wanted to help for nothing in return. I am very clumsy & have brittle bones. I I took a balance class for the past year & was very limited in what exercises were allowed. This year I signed up for a senior program that offers some exercise programs. One I accidentally got into was made up of people who spoke Mandarin. Although I couldn't keep up or speak their language they were so welcoming. Many of the exercises they tell me to do daily were things you suggested. I plan to study your suggestions & see if they help me. Thank you for trying to help others.

    Thank you, Dr. Mandell. I have been suffering from lower back pain (Sciatic) for many years, have been to see many chiropractors, orthopedics, and neurologists and honestly the last chiropractor I visited was the best, he had me on spinal decompression with physical therapy that made a significant difference in my lower back pain which for the most part the physical therapy was the same as the vlog you have provided. I have reached a plateau and think I will run through these stretches again to find others to help my lower back and get my hamstrings to loosen up again. I do have problems with twisting my lower back it seems to have a negative effect and makes my pain more intense for several days afterward. Thanks again for this great information you share.

    I've been watching this teary eyed because I've been in pain for almost 2 years now and I'm kinda discouraged. I'm 55 and I lost the lightness in my step , it feels like my mind forgot how to walk properly, I wobble now , I walk like a penguin , I feel so stiff and heavy . At 15:39 MDoc says : " the pelvic is supposed to rock when you walk " or you compensate.. That's me! I hope it's not to late! Some of these stretches I do , but I guess I do not do them as often enough, because I was wondering if I could be worsening my case, but after watching this I'm going to find the best ones for me and do them every single day.       Yes this is a great doctor. Whenever I have an issue, I look for his video. I have been having pain in lower back, that radiates down buttocks to back of left leg. Siaciatic nerve pain. Pain severe started taking OTC pain meds. Will begin a few of your sitting in chair stretches. Now with this virus so contagious, trying to stay away from doctor's. Not you.     Very informative as always sir. I really appreciate your honesty. By the way I’ve suffering from buttock pain when sitting after a car accident but I’m very much mobil pain free, however my chiropractor wanted to send to pain management for shot after I refused a surgery ! By the way he didn’t even touch me or evaluate me, I went back to him and brought up the issue after I got evaluated from spine surgeon who said my pain is due to piriformes syndrome not spine issue. Thank you again very much Dr Mandel.

    Your video using a soft bristle brush on your neck was on my feed when I got up in excruciating pain this morning. I tried it out, it worked and then I continued to watch more of your videos. I've already used multiple techniques you've shown and am feeling much better than I was in just 2 hours of time. I cant wait to keep learning more from you and implementing it into my daily life and routines and experiencing how much it changes my pain filled life and sharing it with my mom and others I know who suffer. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and share with the world. I wish I could have you as my doctor but for now I'm already thankful just for the information you share.

    I couldn’t get out of bed for five days due to overdoing it at the gym, although they weren’t heavy exercises. Started doing your exercises and it helped me in a couple of days. Thanks for all your info, really appreciate your help

    NICI LOVE 😀 funny thing is they can’t give me a cause I ate all the dairy protein and was a runner since I was a teenager then one day I felt shooting pain mid stride. Went to doc all these fractures showed up on the scans. all they said was rest calcium tablets. Nothing changed and now can’t run anymore. Docs then said surgery and meds. I said no way. So am on Clean keto now and off the pain meds, limited walking stretching and yoga feeling better doing the opposite of what docs said. Steady and slow doing things suggested by Dr Mandell & Dr Berg. They are Life changers and life healers 🙏

    Dr Mandell you have been a help to me .I had decided to get 45 minutes of walking in and I don't walk much nor exercise so by using a simple strider exercise machine in my back garden it's on high ground with a view of the distant mountains and hills lots of fresh air and some sunshine it's winter now ( for the vitamin D and Oxygen?).However I ended up with excruciating back pain in my sciatica area later after sitting at the computer .I did one of your recommended exercises today and already it has helped. .Yes I will be Exercising walking and following your advise and all are going to be surprised, thank you for your postings you are amazingly generous with your invaluable knowledge.     Doc....wow....I have 3 herniated disc and I guess they are parting gifts from my last job as I had constantly sat at a computer for hours and my posture was not 100% correct. I am living to feel those errors but I have started Yoga and all the things you are suggesting are Yoga poses designed to help you achieve what you are talking about. So yes 100% agree with you. Great information

    Thank you. This is the best video I have ever watched. You give us so many options. I’m a carpenter and many times my leg will just suddenly tighten up. I go into a room and just try and stretch until something works.There are many stretches I have never seen before

    Thx Dr I've had 2 lower back surgeries and now I have sciatica which is very painful it has affected my mobility immensely and seeing these stretches I k ow will help what I appreciate you saying is just do what you can you don't have to do it exactly but do your best...its like taking small steps one at a time any movement is better then none at all.

    thanks for sharing this video. I can vouch for about half of these. I worked with a massage tharapist that helped me with alot of my back, knee and sciatica issues and showed me alot of these. I will be adding your additional ones. I have avoided back surgery for about 6 years now by doing them.

    Such GREAT information! I’ve had chronic lower back pain and leg aches since childhood, and I’m 64. I’ve been aware of the Mac Kenzie Method for quite a long time but wasn’t sure if it was outdated or not (That’s one of the reasons I like Toyotas!). I’m glad to know that my yoga stretches and routines are still ok, especially because they feel great! But, some doctors, chiropractors, NUUCA chiropractors, athletes, trainers (never had one, but know some), tell you different things. I trust you the most!
    You’ve helped me remember some great back and leg stretches, and find new positions especially to relieve the lower back compression and get relief for the leg aches I get.I always want to share this info, but some people are very resistant. I’ll keep trying!

    As my mom would tell us, when you're young, you do crazy stunts but when you start getting older them stunts come back to haunt you alright Lol. I used to tie myself up in knots on the floor very energetic flipping backwards, bending my legs over my head..doing splits I felt great but I was young and resilient. Today, I have to be careful I dont break bones or tear ligaments. Again Thank you Dr. For helping those in desperate medical need..but unable to get there due to Covid. Stay healthy we need more Chiropratic Drs as you.🙏❤👍😊

I had mentioned this pinched nerves and sciatica on one of your videos were you were showing a lower back stretch, and I said to you how much my 84 year old mom was suffering from this conditions, I thank you 🙏 so much for this video, she had 3 herniated disk surgeries in The passed that probably she didn’t even needed, thanks God for doctors like you,Amen!🙏 her knees are a big problem too, in April she had the jell injections on both knees and it didn’t work she’s also having problems walking because of the pain, now she’s also have to have an MRI to see was going on, hopefully they don’t say she needs surgery, thanks a lot Dr Mandell and make a great evening, God Bless you and your momma AMÉN!🙏❤️🙌🙌

    Thank you for explaining to everyone that not being able to stretch your self as the pictures show, is not a big deal. A little gain at a time is how these work. As they say 1 day at a time.
    Also, I would suggest you might explain to your video watchers that when stretching learn to relax your muscles during the exercise otherwise you end up fighting your body as tightening your muscles make it much more difficult for them to stretch and you can actually do more harm by tightening the muscles you are trying to stretch/loosen......

    As a cashier, it was hard on my back because you're always leaning forward. By leaning back it relieve the pressure and it really felt good.

    Really great information! Thanks for all of this help! The second exercise shows the model twisting their vertebrae. I have spondylolisthesis-》spinal stenosis-》nerve pain. I was told NOT to twist my back because it would worsen the spondylolisthesis. I see a LOT of personal trainers and physical therapists showing back twisting stretches. Ya'll might be wise to check with your health care provider before doing the twist exercises. Just a suggestion...

    Please be aware that all of these exercises mentioned do help enormously to take away the pain and discomfort. Obviously when you have an injury, that can be due to simply sneezing or lifting when the body is not as flexible due to factors such as colder weather, which then leads to the disk squishing the nerves creating excruciating sciatic pain and the back stiffening up due to the raw nerves traumatised. I have to rest and molly coddle my Lower back , taking Ibuprofen, until I am able to partake in the yoga and stretching excercisrs that your video suggests, which then strengthens and binds the support process around the lower back/spine naturally, without further medication or debilitating worsening of the condition , because quite frankly lack of movement and not partaking in yoga stretching exercises will encourage degeneration that can become a terrible spiral and creates a 'no way back' scenario ! I 100% agree with all the hugely helpful information on this video 👏🏻👏🏻
