Im struggling between retail and classic era but im leaning towards classic Era. I tried retail and my God its soulless to me. The zones are beautiful and the graphics upgrades are amazing but im very aware im playing a game with retail. If anything, it feels like a medieval fantasy version of Destiny 2. Classic Era feels like a living world where communicating with others is necessary, where group content is for everybody and not just end game content. I tried retail. Used the group finder. The dungeon was completed within ten minutes, nobody spoke to eachother. It felt so cheap, unlike the experiences i had playing when i was a teen during classic days.
Yes, unfortunately, Retail has this problem with people not talking to each other. Cataclysm Classic is almost the same. The only solution is to find a good guild, make friends and play together. But that is also not easy to do. The problem with the communication in Classic Era is that most people are already level 60 and during leveling you won't meet many people to communicate with.
@@FroznHood I started a character on Classic the other day and there actually seems to be a good amount of new players of a similar level. Whether this is the case beyond level 1-15 is beyond me but so far the starting point has a good few new players it seems.
I missed Cata when it first came out, and came back to try it out for the first time in Cata Classic (I know the content is there in retail, but I never really did any of it). I've been enjoying it, and I've had huge success with getting gold for WoW Tokens since it's a new expansion. Your video showed the price in retail at nearly 400,000...in Cata Classic, at the time of this writing on my server, it's sitting at around 7,000 (which isn't that hard to get even just playing a few hours a week)!
So I resub and started playing classic. However I don’t have much time like I use to like 15 years ago. Is War Within better for a casual player like me who logs maybe two times a week? I feel like classic is more of a grind especially leveling.
I think that in general games like WoW are not a good choice if you can log only two times a week for, let's say, 2-3 hours. They require more time in order to achieve something. There are other much more suitable games for such case. It also depends on what you want to achieve. If you want to raid, both Retail and Classic will require spending more time in the game to get the needed gear and some pre-raid achievements. If you just want some casual questing and doing normal dungeons, you can do that in all WoW versions. It also depends on if you are starting from zero (level 1).
For someone who’s new to WoW and wants to play for the story etc and all the expansions etc is classic the way to go? Cause retails skips a lot etc right?
World of Warcraft has a total of 10 expansions. WoW Era and WoW Season of Discovery do not include any of them. WoW Cataclysm includes the first 3 expansions. Retail gives you the opportunity to play each of the 10 expansions while leveling your character, by choosing a timeline from an NPC called Chromie. But the leveling (getting experience) in Retail is so fast that by the time you complete one storyline (expansion story) you will probably be level 60 or 70, depending on whether you have done side quests or/and dungeons. And if you are level 70, you will probably want to play the new story from The War Within. If you make more than one character in Retail, you can complete a different expansion storyline with each of them.

You should know that not all storylines in WoW are connected, consecutive or dependant on each other as a story. Most of the are not and new players can be easily confused by that. For example, if you decide to play Mists of Pandaria, you won't miss the storyline from the previous expansions. And the next expansions are not a sequel to that Pandaria story. If you want to play Retail, choose a character, choose an expansion where to level it (you can change that at any time) and when you get to level 68 or 69 you can start The War Within story.
Im actually torn between playing Turtle Wow, Project Ascension or Project Epoch. None of them has a subscription fee. If you asked me wich official Wow is most fun with, id probably say Classic Hardcore.
Is classic era servers still with high population for who wants to enjoy the leveling and each phase of level 60 raids? Is still possible to find guilds that run from first level 60 raids to the latest ones?
Firemaw EU is. I started 2-3 weeks ago, lv34 now. Did DM, SFK, SM gy and lib with no problem finding groups. And i saw more people doing SM armory+cath, ZF but i am still too low lvl for those..so yea, i would say its ok. And guild i am in is progressing AQ40 now, doing MC+BWL+ONYX and ZG20+AQ20.

1-15 level bracket is different, because many people are trying the game.
