I just tried my changes in a BG, I put on enchantments, I still need the slots for rings and better conquest or crafting pieces, but I got into a BG and wow it shows a lot, very grateful.
The current scaling is relative to pve damage and isn’t scaled appropriately for pvp respectively which is further compounded when accounting for tank, and flag debuffs. Guardian in pvp has always been a proactive tank when utilizing defensives in pvp and was relative to the player’s knowledge of enemies offensive cooldown awareness but could get away with winging it. However now with this discrepancy it makes it imperative to have that foreknowledge now for appropriate defensive trading, soooo yeah frenzied and other aspects don’t feel good but by prioritizing team communications you can make it more bearable. Side not though bgb is a different monster and further increases the concerns but that’s for another video. Let me know what questions you have!
if I take druid of the claw, should I be swapping to cat form every so often to make use of one of the talents? also, what pvp talents do you recommend? when I used the loadout it didn't have them. sorry if these were answered in the video already
Good morning, I didn’t go into the pvp talents this video as the only change was that of tireless pursuit that I made mention of in the prepatch. Adding to that as we get into season 1 and I’m able to get more footage I’m looking at doing a more detailed talent tree dive with the hero talents and how they play in pvp. Since it’s also been a season I’ll recap the pvp talents as well. However to answer your questions in a simple approach, Druid of the claw presents a niche approach which relies heavily on teamwork and nailing small execution windows. With the outcome of you being more slippery and hard to catch, hitting los corners and dodging mechanical issues to avoid damage all together. The downfall really is when there are enough flag stacks and speed reduction on you, it’s niche is lost especially without teamwork. As of DoC in base sitting, I think it will be okay and you will be actively swapping to take advantage of increasing your damage, however i feel EC will provide you overall more longevity and be able to hold a base longer especially when multi hit. Rounding out the pvp talents den mother and emerald slumber will always be your go to, then swap up the third with… overrun / tireless pursuit if in a flag map, grove of protection/ demoralizing roar in base sitting depending on how much range verse melee the other teams has. Hope this helps as I’m away this weekend but let me know what questions you have and I’ll be happy to help!
That’s the challenge with guardian 85%+ it’s me sitting around leading the rbg and is far from exciting haha. Although I am hoping to do more play style driven videos this season to highlight differences in the hero talents as the healing/defensive changes are going to make guardian pvp this season to be some of its most challenging yet!
@@Moosen_Gaming There is no content out there right now for guardians, I think now would be a great time to start uploading that as people will be looking to try it out in Blitz. Base sitting or stealing flags can be really fun to watch.
@TheKb051 I was literally planning/exploring this last night for upcoming videos. Especially with blitz as it has opened a very different and fun play style. Just hoping to get a lot of good footage this week.
seeeeee the video I was waiting for!! doc seems more solid, but elune much more viable. one is definitely more for duel, arena gank.. the other more for rbg. thanks again
I agree, it’s certainly looking more promising and I’m sure we will see further buffs to it as form swapping isn’t as common anymore, and Blizzard is certainly trying to make DoC work.
Hey there, good to see you again! The hard thing with Guardian Druid and where a lot of people struggle, is the lack of a formal rotation. Almost all of it is situational and requires you to be proactive in what spells you press before you take damage. I’d suggest checking out Guardian Base Sitting Guide ruclips.net/video/sDtykHQiL_U/видео.html where I go into the rotation and situations of when to use what and then come catch me on stream and I’ll fill in the blanks; you can also catch me in Discord, as I would love to help!
Good morning, the rotation concept is a challenging one for guardian druid as it’s relative to the opponents you’re facing and not entirely a dps rotation. However I am working on an upcoming video this coming weekend to go over the what and when’s to press certain abilities as well as playing the hero talents trees to maximize survivability. Although more specifically to your question, if you’re not in a flag or base map, you should be looking at going feral or boomy for damage. Low mmr won’t matter as much but you will see larger success going dps on maps where fc/base sitting is not needed. If that doesn’t answer your question I would also add that bear dps at the moment is negligible when compared to other class damage in the pvp realm and the priority should be objective/survival with matching defensive cooldowns. Currently though the best dps you can put out is popping barkskin, rage of the sleeper and lunar beam at the same time into someone’s burst. Yet still that damage is relative to the offensive abilities used, sort of like thorns but it can put some one in a position to kill if they are not aware. Other than that any sort of dps bear does will be slow to kill anyone and currently doesn’t keep up with a lot of classes with good self healing. Let me know if this helps, or if you can refine your question I’d be happy to elaborate further.
Starting a niche pvp video with early access and gemming is like kicking yourself and your audience in the balls. I came here for the juicy pvp godmode guardian druid stuff, and had to listen to five hours of gemming/setbonus news. #excitement #scrollingtoherobuildsection That's like going to a car dealer and he's starting his sales pitch with window cleaner information.
I always start my video with what the talking points include, the order they will be in, and include chapters for easier navigation through the video. Furthermore since it’s a new xpac I like to go into detail about the enchants and what not that I found in beta as it is a guide meant to be more encompassing. That aside thank you for watching the video and commenting, I’ll take a look at the analytical data and consider changing the format going forward.
I literally laughed out loud when I read this and my wife just stared at me. I love playing pres as it’s just an interactive healing spec but not sure if I’m the best to write a guide on, although I am looking at some evoker content more centered around flag carrying/bgb
Good morning! Are you referring to going over how the hero talents interact with base talents or just going into detail about the base talents? I’m gather footage at the moment to make a more in depth hero talent breakdown and how it plays so stay tune for that, but if you are looking more so at how the base talents have changed from previous builds I go over that in my beta video. Just let me know and I’m happy to help/provide more info.
So if you use the import string in the description it will load the base talents associated with each hero build. Although if you just want to look at them if you go to my prepatch video I show them about the 530 time mark.
In a previous video I had discussed the tree changes. Unfortunately the hero talents for Guardian are underwhelming and really only play into the fantasy, with blizzard spending most of their time in beta trying to buff a very niche play style in Druid of the Claw. The goal in this guide is to familiarize/create a foundation to build upon for season one and then go into a more in depth look as the dust settles from the xpac release and the sweeping changes/adjustments to classes which are guaranteed to happen throughout season 1.
I just tried my changes in a BG, I put on enchantments, I still need the slots for rings and better conquest or crafting pieces, but I got into a BG and wow it shows a lot, very grateful.
I’m really happy it is assisting you! Also be sure to check out my vol 2 guide to this video as I talk about rotation and staying alive.
I'd like to know how you feel about frenzied regen in PvP atm? to me it feels like it does nothing. Perhaps I am doing something wrong

What's the rotation like for Guardian? I dabbled at it a tiny bit and immediately flopped, I assume I'm doing something wrong.
