Hi Friends
This week I wanted to share my thoughts on O.J. Simpson passing. He was the center and defendant in what a lot of people call The Trial of the Century. Before that he was an American icon. A football star that was known as an incredible running back that played for the Buffalo Bills.
All of that would be overshadowed by the horrible crimes he was accused of against his wife Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman, and ultimately found not guilty for. The verdict may have been not guilty but the public would never deem him innocent.
OJ is a center of American pop culture as well with him both being one of the reasons that we know who the Kardashians are to some speculating he could be Khloe Kardashian’s father. Robert Kardashian and Johnnie Cochran were part of the dream team credited with keeping him out of prison.
I also talk about how online culture has morphed and what 60 years of marriage will do to a couple.
Thanks for watching. If you enjoy please share with someone who could use a laugh and most of all thanks for being my friends.

Honest question from a huge fan:
Is it tough being a comedian that often intentionally talks on stage EXPECTING silence from the audience for so much of your bit? But then you STILL have to judge how well you're holding the audience based on what KIND of silence it is?
Seems like a tough line to walk, and you consistently nail it
ruclips.net/video/IIMNTPzNOzk/видео.htmlsi=jrxbYdSmxrjA7vai
Thank you for making me laugh when I’m sure I’ll never be able to again ❤
Come to San Antonio!
Broooo… your crowd control is amazing…
Randomly found you a few months ago, now I watch all yo new stuff…
Pretty funny/smart guy
I “discovered” the internet in 1993 in college and thought to myself “my god, there’s no excuse or reason to be stupid anymore! People are going to be so smart now!!” 😒
Lol!!
Humanity said "Sike! Bitch 🤪"
well you got the first half right at least
Oh how good it used to feel to be naive. The future scares me tbh.
😂😂
Josh is honestly brilliant. The men's rights part is so on point. He totally nailed it. How much integrity does it take as a man to call out the idiosyncrasies in your own gender.
The incell switch was just insane...you had me crying....the genius of it...I want to start writing at 38 because of you
I was at this show!!!!!! It was so awesome:)
Thank you for coming
i keep coming here for your masterful storytelling. You have such a grip on the audience's attention, even during moments you recollect your thoughts, they wouldn't dare to interrupt you.
i'm not even a native english speaker and yet i find this Absurdly entertaining.
When I woke up to OJ being dead I said “oj did nothing wrong …as I giggle knowing damn well he’s burning in hell”
Lmfao same
0:24 I love the audible "Damn!"
Love what your doing on The Daily Show, kudos, Josh👏👏👏💯🔥 as always, is funny as hell
Hilarious af i almost choked on my tea lmfao. Thank you for sharing your writing and comedy with us Josh!!!
Some people didn’t wake up today. Dagnabbit Josh, I should be laughing!😂
Came for trash talk about OJ. Stayed for the essay.
I’m dead in one ear and sometimes hearing aids make shit worse so I don’t wear them. I 1000% know that smile he had 😂😂😂😂
Thank you Josh laughter is the best medicine.
9:48 😂 fr
This entire set funny as hell 💀😝
The way everyone laughed at the beginning knowing Josh was walking into an OJ joke
5:29 - 5:30 is the loudest, quiet "mhhhhmm" ive ever heard in my life 😂
I love you're style Josh.
Just bought my tickets for Tampa in December can't wait to see him live 😍 love him ❤❤🎉🎉😊
i knew you'd end up on the daily show, that is awesome
Josh you are simply incredible!
Can't wait to see Josh later this summer in Philly ❤
Will be there also!
You are so brilliant too me my king 🤴 just reminds me of my late brother was so real and very funny straight too the point and he was definitely born in march 3,1986 I miss him every day now I am here too watch you I love this video very much
💜♎️😇🌎
Welcome to Austin, Josh!
I have melanin and about 90% of the people in my class had melanin the day we watched the verdict of OJ while in class. And as they were saying "not guilty" I was saying guilty and the loud WHAT?! That escaped my lips echoed over the cheers amongst my class and it was in that moment that I began to rethink my childhood dream of becoming a lawyer....the dream dwindled away after that
My cousin PJ didn’t wake up today because colon cancer took him .
My condolences
Please come to Nashville sometime!!
OJ is a legend. It is what it is.
Josh Johnson is the master of the comedic pause. Like he'll imply something and just wait. He doesn't even need punchlines...just that pause.
Yup.
I love his delivery. So unique. Nothing I ever seen before. And he talks for a good min before his punchline and we listen so intently where any other comedian we would all be like. Punchline already? Lol
@@jaiwhi I feel his style is similar to Dave Chappell. Stories, the pauses, the implied look, etc.
@@HolisticManifestingI've seen Chapelle. Each has his own style. They're very different.
There’s lots who do it but it usually happens late in their career. The confidence. Wow he is special.
His pacing in general is just masterful. When he starts with those "deep" monologues you spend the whole time just waiting to see where he takes it. He pulls us in because we know it's gonna be good!😆
“Some people didn’t wake up”
Cue hysterical laughter😂😂
haha i work in a tissue donation place and that joke is all too real. luckily about 7 or 8 people who didn't wake up donated their body to science and because of that 14 doctors are going to get to practice new surgical techniques on their feet!
The moment he started talking about it, I immediately got the giggles, knowing what was coming lol
@@kwullums I don’t even know what to say to that lol. Guess that’s the gallows humor I’ve heard so much about
@@wickdwabbithis DELIVERY tho! 🤣 e’ry time 😹
@sadiejoncic681 lol the industry does breed a fun sense of humor. One funeral home did a service for a blood. Red suit, red bandana tied around his wrists. They put him in blue underwear 😅
Josh is like a news reporter. Something happens and he hits the stage
Love his Daily show appearances. He's top notch on current events.
I legitimately yelled out "RIIIGHT?!?" when I read your comment lol on point.
I would rather listen to Josh report on current events than Nora O'Donnell....
He is incredibly fast and keeps up with the recent news. Like how other comedians prepare for months and then tour with the same material (no shade) and Josh’s super power seems to be being very recent and reacting quickly.
He is hilarious with the pauses and grin
The thumbnail tho. "Allegedly" I CACKLED 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 As did I
😂😅💯👏🏽👏🏽
"legally, you have to say it."😂
Fuck it, yes your trying t0 b3 a dave but as a sick person, leave us alone
Josh is a storyteller first, comedian second. He is a modern day bard.
"Gather y'all around the bonfire, we are cooking some hot issues of the day!"
I'm 0% surprised he and Trevor Noah are friends. They both have this comedic style where you laugh and think and at some point realize: "... this guy isn't telling jokes? He's telling real stories just in a very funny way!" 🤔
@@DarkHarlequin aint real life the best joke there is, eh? Real stories are funnier 😆
"I'm joking, they didn't go to the same place" I almost choked on my vodka.
It's Tuesday chillll

I missed that joke until I read your comment😸 👍

Great set Josh! Can't wait to see you live one day! ❤
I enjoy how you go below the surface when you are doing an evaluation
These sets are always a pleasure
Your from Portland Oregon,?
Do you never stop? How do you have a new set every other day
Come to Anchorage Alaska! Yes, we have a large community here too! 😂
OJ vowed to never rest until Nicole's killer was dead. He can finally rest in peace.
RIP Norm McDonald, if only he could have lived to see it.
If there is an afterlife, Norm is making that smug little smirky face and telling OJ welcome to the other side. Hell for OJ= spending eternity listening to Norm Macdonald tell endless murder jokes.
Tysm for reminding me of Norm McDonald. What a great comedian he was and wow was his OJ material hilarious
Norm’s OJ stuff was just so lazy and unfunny. There are so many better angles to come at the story than, “Norm think OJ killer.”
That was a pure admission of guilt
This is how I get my weekly news 😂 thanks Josh for keeping me informed with the current news
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me too. He is not just a hilarious comedian but also a journalist!
Yes! Me too
Ditto!!!
I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!! JOSH IS TRULY AN AWESOME PERSON!!!!!!🤩
Thank you for coming!
@@JoshJohnsonComedy But not girls, though.
Lucky you! His sense of humor and comedy is so natural. Like sitting down with your funny, cool friend and chatting about everything. The cackles are real lol
Họw can you be nice when you say ỌJ ís in hell họw he know dịd he go to hell........
@@TheEndKing Huh?
The red pill bit is one of the greatest jokes I’ve ever seen, Josh was able to explain the origin and what red pill is to a group of people that probably haven’t watched a lot of it, in both a hilarious way and super serious. The silence in the room and the way he can sit in silence while telling a serious story and then drop a joke at the perfect time to keep the audience from feeling the silence is masterful, he’s probably one of the best storytelling comedians of the new generation bruh
It’s always crazy when you visit your friend and their parents are having an argument, they start airing out personal shit and your friend so used to it he/she thinks it’s normal😂
I was that friend! We’d be playing video games & my friend would get shook like don’t you hear that? & I’d be like that’s run of the mill, hurry up and continue with the game lol
The original incel board was the same thing, where it was originally just started by a woman in her 20’s who hadn’t had sex yet and was kind of lonely and looking to see if other people had similar experiences then all the self entitled men came along and started blaming women
Btw I’m not blaming women for the way they are. They just are that way. Who gives a shit.
@@Mr.YasQueen ig they are lames. 🤷🏿
@@Mr.YasQueen that’s every man on earth. Until you figure out what works for you. Maybe it’s because they don’t interact in person anymore. No more skating rings or under 18 clubs to practice optimization of your own appeal. Probably just don’t know what to do or how to get what they want. So they complain like children.
@@Mr.YasQueen you did not come out of the womb talking to women the way you needed to in order to sleep with them. We are all awkward for the most part at first. Unless you are really good at something or rich. I went to school with an nba player Thaddeus young. Even he didn’t know what to do at first.
@@frieza3843 well I think I’m short and ugly and I’ve still had more than my share of sex. I don’t know maybe it’s effort. How to dress, talk, walk, smell, sense of humor and confidence. I had to craft a persons that was palatable. And it was SUPER EFFECTIVE i met most women in person then later online and now I’m too focused on fiduciary matters to pay much attention to women. But I honestly think that not being personable is a big problem looks don’t make a person sexless. Attitude does.
I love how he slowly and calmly sets up a joke not worrying about the punchline . . . knowing the laughs will come when it's time.
It's agonizing sometimes but I see what you mean..
Letting that stew cook in the crock pot. It's long, but when it's done, it hits.
Josh is my number one news source now 😂
He’s very good! Nice to see a new young talent to carry the torch 🗽 from the greats. I love comedy! All versions! He takes you and pulls you into his story then he makes you laugh. 😅 What a gift! We need it now more than ever. 😂😂
Absolutely!
I was in my second year of high school when he was on trial. I was on the public bus and some dude yells, "O.J.'s innocent!" And I replied, "Not guilty isn't the same as innocent!"
I was a junior at university, and couldn’t understand for the life of me why Americans are enamored with buffoonery. I think that’s the year you guys lost your charm. 😢
I was same age. I lived in SoCal. Knew the LAPD would fuck something up and they'd have to acquit him. They were a well known mess at the time.
If you did not do something then you are innocent. O.J. was innocent. Giving two able bodied adults Colombian neck ties is a calling card of specific people involved in a specific industry.
@@Tyler_Solomon neither one actually received a 'Colombian necktie' yes brown's neck had been deeply cut but that's all it was
@@Tyler_SolomonYeah! And the Titanic didn’t sink either! 😂
this set was wildly profound, I'm madly in head over heels love with Josh Johnsons thought process on the world we live in. I wish I could thank him for all the laughs he's given me over the years. Such a beautiful and clever human
Man, I've been watching your stand up ever since you did your bit about catfishing the kkk, and I gotta give you props man. The way you're able to engage the audience in a long setup with real thoughts and keep their attention is a gift. You have a kind of charisma that's very rare. A lot of other young comedians would never be able to do stand up the way you're doing it. Glad to see you're still going strong
The KKK catfish , I love that 1. 😂😂😂
Catfishing the kkk.
I MUST find that one.
I love his style of jokes. The opening, the serious relatable thesis, then bam punchline.
Very cool seeing you getting a shot on the Daily Show after watching you here. Hope to see you in the ATL in the summer.
He's been on more than once.
submitting my prediction now: if the redpills golden boys Fresh & Fit find this, they're definitely gonna scream beligerently on stream 💀💀
I'm actually waiting for this video to drop. Let me get some food right quick. A perfect way to end my day😂
Josh's smile is gorgeous
And contagious😊❤❤❤
You are my new favorite comedian! Quite the story teller! Lol
I was listening to this on the way home and audibly laughed like a crazy person on the train. My phone was in my bag and I only had one airbud in so it really looked like I was just a crazy person. Thank you, Josh, for all your super funny and intelligent takes.

I find it hilarious and interesting that it seems that the Internet has collectively decided that O.J. Simpson definitely went to Hell
🤦🏿
Psst....it's probably because of the *checks notes* murder..
There are so many things I appreciate about his stand up.
Granted, context and time of posting DOES matter.
But the whole "Some people didn't wake up today", followed by that shit-eating grin.
*Chef's kiss*.
OJ Simpson.... Not a Jew.

That court house had to be the craziest place in America, you had OJ’s trial, Snoop and Malik’s murder trial, and the icing on the cake was Nate Dogg was also on trial for robbing some Taco Bell’s.
😅😅😅😅 the 90s! Ahĥhhhh. The West Coast! Memories ❤🤲🏽💫🥂
Josh is absolutely the best out there right now! On the waitlist for Pittsburgh!
Therapist here, but I used to be a family law mediator that specialized in intimate violence and abuse cases. In Minnesota, the custody laws are general neutral. Each parent automatically gets 25% parenting time with the other 50% divided by what is in the best interests of the chil(ren). For example, if the parents live far apart from each other, one parent will usually get the school year and the other gets the summers. It is not about gender, and no gender is favored. If there is active abuse, the formula changes. But absent abuse, that is how it works in Minnesota. Long term outcomes appear better if the parents utilize mediation rather than going through litigation.
How does that work for little babies and toddlers? If the other parent lives far away? For older kids I get it, I was one that did the back and forth (and HATED it) thing, but that seems super detrimental to little kids who need stability I would think? I'm genuinely asking because you're the expert here and I am just assuming.
Maybe it's just personal perspective, environmental factors & the parents deliveries/examples of navigating the experience.... but didn't it suck more to be in an environment of constant tension and/or hostility, over traveling if you were one of the ones that only had to do it a few times per year . @@JB-bm1to
@@JB-bm1toalmost every court will default to the mother with babies and toddlers unless there is a clear case of abuse or substance use on the mother's part. Even then, courts will still side with mothers
@@toastedt140 so just repeating this to make sure I’m understanding it. The courts would most likely keep the babies with the one parent and make the other visit instead of shipping the baby back and forth? I’ve just always wondered. My parents lived in the same city, but I wonder when there’s a parent who moved out of town. If so that’s good, that’s what I would want. Sounds horrible to have to go back and forth so young!
@@JB-bm1toThe courts generally don't like kids to travel alot, and when they are that young they have the parents travel and or pick up for visitation. For little ones they generally keep them with the mother whose breastfeeding and is usually the primary caretaker for said child but there are exceptions. It really depends on the parents and their history, demeanor and quality of life.
The explanation for incels and men's rights groups was just brilliant!
I think my favorite thing about Josh's delivery is how he draws the audience into seriously thinking about what he's talking about. Like really considering it. Mulling over the observations and implications. And then he just finds the perfect line to break that tension when you didn't even know it was there.
Beautifully said

The last part killed me. My grandfather was completely deaf in one ear and wore a hearing aid in the other. One day my dad told me to watch what Grandpa did when we walked in. I never noticed before that when someone walked in, he turned his hearing aid up. Meaning he turned it down so he couldn't hear Grandma when they were alone. That man was a legend.
