FBX is easier because you don't need to re-apply materials and components/bodies are separated
Hi Kevin, great video, thank you. From the title I thought you could get Blender to render a Fusion 360 Animation (i.e. using the Animation space in fusion 360). Is that even possible?
Do you know if there's a way to export the joints from Fusion 360 as well? I'd love for my mechanical parts to move correctly in Blender, but haven't figured out how to do that yet.
Did you already figured it out? would love to know your solution.
@@domasannevanwijk6402 I haven't figured it out. I did realize that parts moved around if you export them as individual OBJ, so I added a 1cm cube out of the way in Fusion 360 that I include in the export. In Blender, I can then align all the parts to the right spot using that cube.
@@travissmith5994 alright and then u added new joints in blender? Thanks for the quick response
@@domasannevanwijk6402 That would be the next step, yeah. I haven't done it myself.
@@travissmith5994 Hi, i would like to know your answer to this problem, i am trying to do as well
Thank you for this video. Very concise, exactly what I needed! :)
Thanks!!
Hello, thank you so much for the video. Is it also fairly simple to implement motion to the model? Would I add joints and motion study in Fusion or just create the model and then do all of this in Blender (and if, do you have a tutorial for that too)? Again, thank you so much for the video, it helps me to get an idea of how to achieve more rendering options but still model in Fusion as I like it a lot.
Saved me so much time and grief. Thanks!
Thanks!!
Love u bro ur tutorial r easy to understand than other tutors
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!
Nicely put together Kevin!
Thanks Paul!
Perfect video tutorial - thank you!!
nice tutorial and Thank you.
How can I export the Fusion model so that my components aren't misaligned in the OBJ-file?
Hmm, not sure thats possible, the OBJ is a limited file format. Unless someone else knows different.
