This is a really helpful video. You should do a 54 video playlist to accompany this breaking down each modifier. I bet a lot of people would use it as a single place for references. Great work either way! Thank you for this
As someone just learning Blender in school, knowing what these do has expanded my knowledge of what's possible and what's going to be easier to do than I'd thought. Thank you.
@@g_pigeony4036 Going to Illinois State University. Just finished my bachelor's in game design and am working on my master's in creative technologies. I was taking a class on 3D sculpting that was basically an intro to Blender. This video opened my eyes to how to do so many things.
You did a great job with this tutorial, you somehow managed to make it concise without rushing, I feel like I understand each modifier well now, thank you!
Just commenting so the algorithm can recommend this amazing video to someone else, started learning blender and just having a broad overview of all the modifiers is really really helpful, i may not insta remember everything, but i won't be so lost when looking at them
Said out loud in an empty room "ooooo THAT'S what the Boolean is for" lol. I've been learning Blender for several months and heard it mentioned so many times but not seen it used or explained. Thank you very much!
Seeing this video just 1 week ago would have spared me so much trouble with my project. I just started Blender and know absolutely nothing about it, teaching myself with videos and google while working on a personal project. I'll definitely explore a bit more these modifiers now, when needed.
Man this was pure genius I've added you to my give credit playlist and shared your video on my twitter/X account. Thanks for all the useful and FREE information!!!! I'm very GRATEFUL for it!!!
Learning to program a mesh and shape from scratch in Unity tells me how incredible this set of tools are. For it to know how to extrude and in what order to draw the faces in the right directions. The insane equations and logic on how to do these things. How does it know what a deformation in a mesh is?! Not just that but even if you select a few vertices, it still corrects and runs a math formula based on surrounding vertices. Can't imagine how it is to optimize this coding and make it run as few runs as possible. Having to not only check every single vertice's position of 3 values, but also the rotation value and scale plus running math for the other vertices for their curves. Knowing how much they curve based on other nearby points. So much data and having to run through it all. It's insane to think about from a technical perspective when you know how complicated and taxing this stuff would be.
This video is wonderful. It's like a visual index of the modifiers without the intimidating experience of having to sift through technical documents of what each one does to find the one you're looking for for the partifular effect you want!
Nice Guide, I only know the subdivision surface and mirror modifier from the tutorials that I watched but nothing more. I'm glad to find this video with all of the modifiers and what they do in one video.
I am just starting to learn how to use Blender to make objects for 3D worlds including Second Life, but this is a great video to show me how awesome Blender can be for creating things! Good one. Would love to see longer ones, one the not so often used Deform & Modify MODIEFIERS with basic and daily used quick examples. Thnaks in advance :-)
This is a badass video. If I don't know how to do what I'm trying to do, I can just come and spend 10 mins seeing what my options are, and then figure out how to get more in depth with that modifier somewhere else or try to just figure it out myself. Thumbs up!
Thanks for this. It's unbelievable that something so useful yet so complex like Blender is free for us to use. It really great to see the palette of powerful features it has.
