I remember working with 3d, probably more then 20 years ago now. I remember a good way to learn was the available tutorials, making flowers and other corny objects wasn't exactly the thing you wanted to do, but each tutorial taught you a useful technique that you later could use on your own objects that you wanted to do. I've tried using Blender before and I couldn't get crap done. Then I started playing around with Autodesk 123D design after my company got a 3D printer and within a few days I'd purchased the same 3D printer and was working on a hand guard extension for 1 of my airsoft guns, which I made in several steps. At first I printed a section of picatinny rail on the bottom of a rectangular extension with its rear end shaped to fit the front end of the gun, which turned out to fit perfectly on the first try. then I designed and printed a prototype of the whole thing, which also fit on the gun perfectly on the first try, after which I finally printed the actual hand guard with all the final features and installed it on the gun, and who would've thought, despite having printed it upright front to back it turned out to be incredibly durable and the layer lines gave it some additional grip and somehow added to the overall look. So far I've only printed a few dozen things designed in 123D design, but it's incredibly easy to use and so far I would defo recommend it as an alternative to Blender, and an entirely free one at that!

So far I've only printed a few dozen things designed in 123D design, but it's incredibly easy to use and so far I would defo recommend it as an alternative to Blender, and an entirely free one at that!
man. . . 3 hours and be able to do all that!? it took me weeks just to even get close to the fraction of that power. . 😵💫 Just HOW?!
ngl, cybergun render goes fucking hard, more than the others fr
its dat bloom lol
“How do I bend it like Beckem?” Got me laughing so hard 😂
9:28 bro put the shell ejection port on the wrong side of the slide💀
2:06 got me laughing so hard. "I wonder how far he's got," jump-cut to Atrioch being _so excited_ ahaha
It was fun!
The first newcomer has so much courage :) . I'm afraid to press an extra button
Unless it literally crashes blender you can basically just do whatever and ctrl z when something goes terribly wrong
Bro i got 3 thousand hours in blender, and i still have skill level akin to the 3 hours portion of your thumbnail
It’s the thought that counts :)
The inner gun nerd in me is foaming at the mouth over Timo`s. The boxy of ammo says 357, but its a 9mm gun, and has 9mm laying on the table
yeah he said he noticed it too but only free option from his company so f it
his gun was absolutely garbage lol
@@coptor4232 good topology though
@@coptor4232 nah, its just the texture
@@htjghfdb no the model is inaccurate
watching the professional immediately shake his head and go "Booleans bad!!!" was so vindicating to me because i think i said those exact words halfway into this video lmao
great video shocked it doesn't have more views!
the 3 hours guy is honestly just mood. He looks like he's having the most fun in all of these videos from all of them. Keep it up, buddy! XD
the beginner is just having a good time while the expert is just locked in like crazy.
Timo when i heard him clicking the keyboard it sound’s like he’s hacking or smth
Боже, это шедевр! Я давно так не смеялся)
Забавно вспоминать, что я был таким же, как Atrioc, просто волна ностальгии.
and the translation
God, this is a masterpiece! I haven't laughed like that in a long time)
It's funny to remember that I was the same as Atrioc, just a wave of nostalgia.
The fact that the pro is literally not using blender and nobody noticed is hilarious to me.
Gonna be honest. I didn't know the expert was also a creator at Kitbash3D. Just gotta say, mad f'n props to those guys. I love their models and I have never regretted getting a single one of them. No wonder he was so relaxed lol
The three years gun looks great right now
3 Hours: This looks like a COD weapon preview
3 Weeks: The floor looks completely off, but everything else good
3 Years: This looks like an actual photo
3 hours guy unironically hilarious. Never seen anyone have so much fun on this nightmare software lol
beginner definitely was the best
I love how the 3 week and 3 year actually looks like a Glock, but the 3 hour just looks like a drawing I'd make when i was 3.
Timo is making me want to force myself to work on my 3D skills every day for years on end until I can call myself worthy of holding the title of 3D designer.
Man I laughed my ass off through this entire video!
It was like seeing myself at all 3 stages at the same time.
No insane expert by far, I am more like Stephen, but what he's doing at 3 weeks took me like a whole year to learn 😂😂😂
12:17 "Why move the camera when I could move the gun to me" - I nearly PISSED MYSELF laughing!
4:15 that transition was smooth tho
Another great video keep up the work and i cant wait for the next game, video, or anything else you guys make.
love how the 3yr guy messed up the sights and made them small
I’ve been doing self taught blender for over a year and watching the 3 hours guy makes me die inside
3 years Blender just turn into Maya
i like this type of video.. shows the beginners that they create what beginners create..nothing to get down on but to just keep practicing pusshing foward! cool content!
3 hours guy is the goat of all goats💀
the 3 weeks guy was actually pretty good for 3 weeks, ive been doing blender for 3 weeks and I could never
2:08 i like how it transitions from a guy speaking in a monotone voice while efficiently modelling a gun to a guy screaming "i am cooking" to 2 blocks 😭
bro this needs more attention even though its only been 50 mins
Hey, I actually learned off some stuff from this video.
On my stage I try to figure out how to work with the model itself: how to rig it, how to unwrap it, how to texture it and etc.. Watching how Timo worked, I actually now truly understand: substance painter topples anything.
Thanks for the video.
Nice profile pic
Substance is great for texturing most stuff, if you're looking to texture hero assets you should take a look into Mari :)
@@timofahrbach9174 I will look into it
been using blender for 4 years, uhhhhhh, im like as good as the 3 week guy 💀💀💀💀💀💀😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
thats good because the 3 weeks guy was literally the best
Don't compare yourself with others
@@LordOfTheChickinzthe guy using Maya was also as good
@@NuiiCashy yeah
honestly quite impressive what he managed to do with 3 hours of experience
i watched this when i didnt knew about blender and was just starting and now 9 months later i feel bad for the person who only knew blender for 3 hrs lol
