lol I can only speak for my experiences but in the Army some of the funniest comments I’ve heard was during stressful situations. I think it’s just a natural coping mechanism. We also like to make fun of how ridiculously suckie a situation is.
No, but I have woken up with SWAT surrounding my house, SWAT in my room waking me up for warrants, bounty hunters doing both of those exact same things as well as out waiting me while I hid in a foot of insulation inside a attic on a 100° hot day for 4 hours. Not including the SWAT that pulled up on me and arrested me in Phoenix outside a Frys or the homicide detectives picking me up for a M I did not commit. Stay out of trouble and live life.
I remember in high-school I used to be up really early in the morning, like 4:30. One morning I was standing in the kitchen and looked out the window only to see a swat team moving down my street. I learned later my neighbor a block down had kidnapped a child(though it was their biological child, they didn't have custody) and a swat team came in to take the child back. But it was scary to see that so early in the morning, moving stealthily down my street.
Philly PD SWAT (they called it StakeOut back in the day) had a saying: "If you're scared, SAY you're scared." Better to know where everyone is at, and if your teammates are getting weird vibes; usually there's a good reason for it that you can't quite put your finger on.
Ex SWAT and K-9 officer here. All intersections and properties/buildings have 4 points...1,2,3,4. For N, E, S, W or other 4 directions...same through out city or state. So commands are point 1 or so. Every officer knows EXACTLY where they need to be. None of this "North of Wisconsin St."

@@brycekennedy5935 I heard somebody say once (in a self-defense context) that if somebody is pointing a gun at you, it's because they don't want to shoot you. (they were talking about complying and not "being a hero" in that sense, but it definitely pertains here too imo)
@@SpaceMissileYeh. This is funny, because people who are incapable of understanding the reality of life-threatening situations will never get it, but it's so true. If someone's pointing a gun at you, they don't want to shoot you. If someone wants to shoot you, they'll shoot you. Simple, really.
The question here is what kind of firearm, not *if* he has one. While all of them are dangerous in the hands of someone who wants to do harm, the threat level to LEOs are a little different. If it's a handgun, their soft body armor is likely to stop the round and reduce the risk major injury. If it's a rifle, or a shotgun loaded with slugs, it'll go through the soft armor and likely cause major injury/death.
