    Your hoyas are so healthy and lush. And you have the biggest most beautiful polyneura I have seen so far. I also love the mathilde, the serpens, love the round thick leaved look.

      Thank you so much! I’ve noticed a lot are slow to get started but once they do they really take off! Ahh I’m so proud of it 😍😍 I’d love a Serpens they’re so cute! Thank you for watching! 💚🌱

    Hi, Amy - not surprisingly, your Hoya are amazing! That polyneura is spectacular! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 The matilde is one of my favorites-last year I got really into the more petite varieties. And it gave me my very first hoya bloom ever! The curtisii is a fun one, but have found it quite tricky. (I have murdered more than one!🤦🏽‍♀️) I have an obovata, which was a quick grower and a kerrii that stayed at two leaves FOREVER, but I put all of them outside this summer and it grew six new leaves in a few weeks - must have been the humidity! Once again, you have inspired me to start chopping and propping to get nice, lush plants like yours! In fact that will be my goal for the coming new year- to work on the plants I have rather than buying more. (We'll see how THAT goes😅 ) Thanks for sharing!

      Thank you so much! 💚 I love the Mathilde and that’s what made me want to get a krohniana, I’m tempted to try the curtisii! Omg I’d love to have an obovata 😍😍😍
      Haha I always tell myself I’ll prop instead of buying more, and yet somehow new plants make their way in! 😆 you have a lovely Hoya collection and I hope they continue to grow well for you 💚💚

    Side rant, I like the look of hoyas with their thick leaves, but the moment I heard they're slow growers I knew they weren't for me. I've figured out I need my plant to grow fast. I like to wake up every morning checking for progress. If it looks the same every day my excitement fizzles out.

    • @Amysgreenishthumb
      @Amysgreenishthumb  8 месяцев назад +1

      I know what you mean some of them take so long to get started, I usually put them somewhere I’m unlikely to check very often so that when I do I can see progress! I think that’s why I struggle with cacti cause even if there has been new growth it’s not very obvious, Hoya Australis and crimson queen are pretty speedy! 💚🌱

    Obovata is gorgeous, but it does tend to get warped leaves if the watering isn’t precisely even when the leaf is filling out (my guess, anyway.) that’s likely why those are the cuttings you see. Thanks for sharing!

    I have several types of Hoya and I love them all. One of my favorites is my Hoya Linearis. The needle shaped fuzzy leaves are so different. It makes such a lovely hanging plant.

    I had one of those single Hoya Kerii for 6 years without doing anything, I decided to throw it out,as I shook the soil out of it,I noticed a branch growing beneath the soil,it has been growing like a beast after that,it must of got scared and started growing on me,but that only happens rarely from what I’ve read from others!

    • @Amysgreenishthumb
      @Amysgreenishthumb  8 месяцев назад +1

      That’s so exciting! Yeah I don’t think it happens very often but whenever I see them in shops I look at the soil to see if I can see signs of new growth just in case, but like yours I think most people who are lucky enough to get a node that’ll grow it takes years to do so! So cool! I’m glad yours has been growing well since and thank you for watching 🥰🌱

    Your Hoyas are beautiful!! I got a single leaf Hoya Kerrii that has grown a vine and 3 additional leaves. It was a huge shock when I first noticed something happening. It has been fun to watch it grow. It is a slow grower.

    Hiya Amy, am I the only one worried about your rug ?! How's your new job going? Well, what are you doing to me? I said no more plants and now I've had to go on Ebay again. I used to hate Hoyas they're very slow, but I have a few now and actually slow growers are easier ! Thanks for showing your collection, sigh I'm poorer now! 💚😀 (Wayetii is my fave)

    • @Amysgreenishthumb
      @Amysgreenishthumb  8 месяцев назад

      Haha she definitely sounds like she’s doing more damage than she is, I don’t know why she’s so obsessed with it 😂 but it’s only when I start filming!
      It’s really good thank you for asking! 🥰 haha ahh apologies from me to your bank balance 😂
      Some Hoyas I swear take like 2-3 years before they actually do anything 😂 but then they seem to take off!
      Hoya wayetii’s are gorgeous, I ordered one ages ago but it came rotted, I might give it another go one day! Thank you so much for watching 💚🌱

    You have such a calming stabilising aura about you. Quite rare to come by. I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum, excitable, energetic, animated etc Ahahaaa.
    Reckon you'd make an exceptional mother, and a very stable partner.
