Thank you❤
Over an hour of Hoya 😍😍😍😍 a blessing
Seriously 🥹🙏🏽
Fern blessing us with so many long videos ❤ I cry happy tears😊
Her commitment to ecology is so important 😀
Do you sell hoyas the linearis is so awesome ❤I love it
Also, orange!! Another color you look STUNNING in!! 💫 🧡
You said you haven't had them bloom as much. You mentioned you've had it really warm in there. My tip would be that they like to cool down at night. Hoya bloom when their a bit stressed out, so really letting them dry out between watering, always plenty of sun but they enjoy a temp drop at night.
My Hoyas were not giving me anything, for years, so I moved one to the bathroom in the windowsill and it’s tripled in size in a month. Then I moved all 6 of my Hoyas in there and they are thriving!!!! Thankful I finally found their happy place 🥰🤩
Ahhh that is so awesome! 👏🌿
I have to say, not actually having seen your variegated Hoya compacta for a while, it's actually grown quite a bit! I was kind of shocked!😂 Keep it up! You can do it little guy!🤞🤞❤️
For your first Hoya that isn’t growing, it probably has microscopic mites! I had a plant that wasn’t doing anything for over a year, didn’t show any signs of pest damage, but wouldn’t grow… I treated it with sulfur and it immediately started growing again!
This this this!! Also they deform growth.
Yep! I was just going to say this. I'm treating all of my plants with sulfur right now 😕
I have noticed with my obovata that I get the wonky leaves when I am being inconsistent with watering. I get the nice round leaves when I'm watering better.
Im having such a dumpster fire of a day and this video is a straight up blessing 🙏🏽 Fave planty person and my fave genus, yes please 🥹
My snow Queen has much larger round leaves so I’m not sure if you have the right id but I’m not an expert. all your plants with a mix of 2 tsp horticultural oil to one gallon of water and they will grow like crazy because it kills the flat mites
🥰 OMG your linearis has grown so much!!! I remember when you had that tiny plant and kept chopping and propagating and adding to the pot. You did an amazing job! Honestly, all your plants are amazing.
❤❤❤
Fern, I'm also a hoya head and have had my ups and downs with some. Most of my hoya are grown on plant shelves and rotted under the cheap Amazon grow lights. I then bought the barrina grow lights on Amazon that so many people recommend and they are a life savior. My tall hoyas are under pendant lights and the bulb used are the Phillips grow light bought at Walmart. It's a heavy bulb but work really well.
Can I just say, I have been ✨living✨for these long videos you have been posting recently. Always gets me in such a planty mood and I love to have your video on while I do other things like watering, repotting, or honestly even just doing the dishes. Thank you for another great video!
I had over 80 Hoyas at one point, about 10 years ago. All of them I grew from single cuttings. Then I moved to a house with very little natural light, and lost most of them. The hardier ones survived, and I eventually got plant lights…but consider the future with these plants. Most look great as young plants - but they do not age well. They get huge, and heavy, and just aren’t as pretty as when they are young. I have an obovata that is so heavy it breaks every hanging pot I’ve put it in. I’ve had to pot up every two years. I don’t think they make hanging pots big enough for the next one it will need. I’m going to have to put it in a floor pot and let it climb up a wall trellis. So, yeah, consider the future when getting that cute, pretty little hoya….someday you are going to need a huge greenhouse.
Would be nice to see your plants🤩 especially obovata🙂
Or just chop and prop
I had a whole heap of hoya babies that wouldnt grow so an old lady told me to put them outside in spring for a week or 2 and to give them shocks of water instead of regular watering.
I've tried this and so far they all have new growth this year 🎉❤ thanks for the videos Fern 😊
Thank you for sharing. When I started growing hoyas, some were doing nothing for so long. And I knew little about their care and problems. It was recommended that I buy a microscope and search for flat mites. They are the #1 reason hoyas do not push new growth or lose peduncles. So, I treated them for flat mites (there are many options, including benefitials), and in no time, plants exploded with new leaves and looked so good. Plyneura, even with silver leaves, are pretty fast growers. Good luck!
I would love to see a video of you doing a repot of your Hoya! Love you and your channel💚
Your Hoya collection has grown so much since I’ve started watching your channel 😍💕
I want to thank you for showing us and explaining the care of your Hoya plants. Never knew that there are so many. I am amazed at all your plants and knowing all the names of each plant. Keep up the good work, your videos have a lot of knowledge/ information that would inspire anyone to grow different plants. Your inspiration to grow.
Thank you
Your first Hoya looks to be in much too large of a pot. The leaves will grow once the roots have filled out the pot. I put my new hoya cuttings in modified plastic shot glasses or 1” or less pots until I get at least one new leaf and then size up the pot very slightly. Hope this helps!
I’m one of those rare plant lovers that isn’t Hoya crazed but you and your babes make me want more. Thanks, Fern! 😂
Btw, you look soooo pretty ❤ loving your hair these days 🔥
I started noticing my Hoyas blooming much more when I remember to spray them with orchid spray 😅 also, your polyneura is how my obovata was. It took two entire years to do anything at all but I’m so glad I kept it because it took offfffff. 💚
You have such a renewed energy! Think your plants are feeling it!❤
Agreed!!!
you have such an amazing Hoya collection thank you for sharing with us! i love the fun facts/ tips you add in along the way. i actually got into houseplants via Hoyas - i worked for a local plant influencer's online shop packing up plants; she would let me keep broken pieces to "rescue" lol + most of my planty rescues were Hoyas bc we sold a lot of them, so they are special to me! don't give up on your variegated Compactas, they are looking cute + healthy, they just seem to grow at a snail's pace
Hi Fern, your Hoya collection is AWESOME! The Chicken Farm is at the top of my MUST HAVE HOYA list!! Thank you for highlighting your beautiful collection!! ❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡
Hey fern!
Absolutely love your videos and am glad to be here.
I wanted to share that lechuza pon actually has been amazing for my hoyas that were being adamant about not giving new growth
Love your Hoya collection, Fern. It is so beautiful to see someone like you that has been a long time plantuber and is not influenced by “must have’s” (you know what I mean) 😊
Love your videos, I learn so much. I’ve been getting interested in Hoyas and this helped me so much. It really helped when you told the name after you’re done talking about it. You get me excited and then I need to go back to recheck the name of the Hoya. Thanks for all the great info.
Just found your channel! Thankyou for taking the time to share all your beautiful hoya😍😍😍 I only have 4 hoya so far but I definitely have a growing wishlist 😅
When I’ve had difficulty with Hoyas starting, I found that bone meal usually gets them going 😊
Ohh good to know!
I really loved this video. I hope you film the repotting and potting of the Hoyas you talked about
I LOVE putting my hoyas outside for the summer!! As long as it's in dappled shade, it definitely prefers it out there (for me). Every time it rains, they seem to sprout a new leaf or two... Also, I don't have to deal with the drippy blooms indoors!
THIS is the video I've been waiting for!! That window showcases a trailing plant beautifully. Would love to see more up there! I recently saw a video on trellising Hoya. For your bigger leafed ones especially, you can wind it around any which way, but keep the newest growth pointing upwards, as it's looking to climb. Looking forward to an all Hoya repot! 🤌
On sunstress: my sunrise definitely reddened more in the winter than summer, in the same south-facing window spot. It’s now directly under a grow light and already sun stressing again.
Loved the video! Definitely added a couple to my wish list! 😍
EPIC!! One of my all time favorite RUclips videos ever 💚🪴 thank you 🥰
You look so cute, Fern!!!! Okay, I really needed this video. I finally know what Hoyas to buy to expand my collection. I don’t even know how many I have but I luufffff them!!😊
Omg fern i am so excited for this video i am justgetting into hoya,s and just got 3,waiting for some in mail yhis week i got my tea and cant wait to watch❤❤
Omg this video came at a perfect time! I’ve been looking into getting a few new Hoyas.
Loved every moment of this Hoya video 💚
I have been drooling throught this whole video 😍 Fabulous collection! #GOALS 😻
Love my hoya linearis! I am going to go watch your chop and prop videos.
Great video! I love these collection videos. I watched this while repotting some of my Hoya. Incrassata and the variegated kerrii definitely rank lower on my list but I do love them all. And my "basic" Krimson Queen is going to be up there in my top 10. Compacta was my number 2 (I made my list while watching yours), too.
Have you ever treated your polyneura for flat mites? After using beneficial mites (californicus) my hoya finally started growing.
yes! would love the hoya repot video
Loving all of this long content so so much🙌🌿
Your hoya collocation is looking gorgeous 😍💚 my top hoya is my carnosa compacta with my obovata splash coming in as a close second 💚
That color on you & the style even is just so so pretty!! You look stunning!!!
I love my linearis so much! I was so excited when I got one! My compacta was my first ever wish list plant. ❤️
Yesssss I've been waiting for a Hoya video!!
I finally broke down last winter and bought a long trailing variegated compacta with 5 or 6 vines and I added my small ones to it so I have a nice full pot finally. I think had been super under-watering my first one and it’s fine roots would always dry up. This one’s doing amazing now. Wishing you luck!
As someone who is in their Hoya era going to drive 30 mins to get an obovata later today, this video is perfectly timed!!
I have the hoya kerrii albomarginata and I keep it successfully on a south-west windowsill, so it gets direct sun all afternoon, even now, during the summer. I noticed it likes the summer heat. I have it growing in a chunky mix and water it as soon as it dries out almost completely, which is every other day in summer. I did acclimate it to high light before putting it in the sunny windowsill.
Your chicken farm inspired me to get one and it is sooo beautiful! It's put out 3 gorgeous leaves this summer. I also got a crassipetiolata splash this summer that is putting out 2 leaves (was a 1 leaf cutting). I also got a baby linearis and showed it yours for inspiration lol.
yes!! linearis is for sure one of my favorites and mine is just now starting to get nice and long. it’s so so fun!! (loved this video so much and accidentally ordered 3 hoya while watching 🥳)
Returning to this gorgeous collection video 😍
Don't forget to add this vid to the Hoya playlist 😁😁😁
I really loved seeing your hoya! I had over 100 different species, but I'm slowly downsizing. I'm actually gravitating to plain green instead of the variegated ones. Like Polyneura and Bella for example. And I'm appreciating the common ones more also
I can see why the linearis is your fave. Thanks for sharing Fern!
Hoyas by far are my favorite plants so you can imagine how thrilled I was when I saw that your entire video was going to be on Hoyas. First, I must say that orange is your color. You look absolutely gorgeous in orange. Now back to the Hoyas. I love them so much. I also have a huge collection. I mostly have them outside in my covered patio year round being that I live in South Florida. I have Chicken Farm and Undulata on my wishlist. Your Chicken Farm is gorgeous. I’ve had two Linearis that I have killed after over aggressive treatment for mealies. Yours is so beautiful. I may give it another try in the future. Loved all your Hoya content in this video. Would love to see more 😊
Fern, I don't know how I haven't discovered you until a few weeks ago, but I've binge-watched you so far :D. You showcasing your Hoyas has made me order some myself. I absolutely love looking at them!
She’s the absolute best!! 🤩💚
What a collection! So beautiful! Been obsessed with hoya lately!❤😍
I just added numbers 40 & 41 to my Hoya collection 2 days ago! You have some real beauties! I love all of mine but my bilobata has been blooming since May and currently has 16 peduncles, it’s ranking very high right now!
Just finished watching. I was surprised to see your sunrise but when you whipped out your walliana?! Girl i remember when it was little and it’s a freaking beast now! Love this video so so much.
you’ve gotten me into hoyas, they’re so pretty!!
Also that dress looks stunning on you!! 🌿🧡
Top!
@@ira7630 my bad hah! commented before watching the whole thing!
Love my linearis too, seems so cozy, just need it in my bedroom as a kind of natural curtain😊
Fern!! You really should try adding Great White Mychorrizae to your Hoyas. All of mine that were stagnant grow now and are blooming more often. I use it on all of my plants but it definitely helps my Hoyas!
I wish. I looked it up in my country, and I'm assuming it's a reasonable price in the US? But in Canada it's listed on Amazon for $327 for a 32oz container. That's, like just under $300us I believe. My country makes no sense sometimes.
Your plants are always so beautiful
Okay I'm a fan for life. Love love love your Hoyas. I just started collecting them and you are a inspiration.
soo pretty!! I love my Mathilde, its very splashy, and my all time favourite is my eskimo super silver! (also that orange looks amazing on you)
This was A MOST EXCITING video! I appreciate your time and effort for 3 hours! I loved every minute!
I was SO EXCITED when I saw this posted!!!! I’m so into Hoya right now. Your the best fern!!! Thanks for the amazing content as usual this didn’t disappoint 🤭♥️🪴
Hi Fern 💫 I just received a Hoya Linearis I’ve been searching for one since the start of my Hoya journey. Mine is growing well, but I’m such a helicopter Mom because she’s definitely my favorite as well. Fingers crossed I can keep her happy. I did take a cutting and put it in Pon to try before I move the whole plant and kill it. I also got a cutting of Mathilde off Etsy and it came with a peduncle. I’ve never had a peduncle on any of mine so I’m super excited. I thoroughly enjoyed this video of all your Hoya. Enjoy the rest of your week. 🙏🏻💫
Hey Fern! Love love love all these Hoya 😍 totally agree with your top two! I love the Linearis and the Compacta too ❤ for blooms, have you tried spraying with orchid mist? I haven’t been so hot on it this year but when I was I’d get soooo many blooms especially on my Linearis! Also, different Hoyas have different blooming times throughout the year! So my Linearis always blooms end of October/November time! 🫢 loved this video, well done with the editing too, 3 hours is a lot to edit down 😮😅 x
I was just watching your old Hoya collection videos!
Love the long videos and I'm loving these collection videos
I definitely wanna be updated about all those pundacles on your polynuera hoya!! (Lol I probably spelled that wrong 🤷♀️)
Both of my fish tail hoyas 🧜 have grown a lot. I think you should try to plant it deeper so it can cover joint. That works for my hoyas it helps. I got my two leaf and now I have a massive plant and I have been propagating it.
I loooove these collection videos! And you started with some of my favorite genera! Of my Hoyas, my favorites are callistophylla, globulosa, linearis, Burt, and serpens!! Shoutout to my one leaf cutting of meredithii who tried to bloom in my prop box 🤗
that shirt!! 🧡 the color suits you so well!
Hi Fern. WOW!!! What an amazing collection of Hoyas!!!! I have a Carnosa and Obivata. Both are very slow growers inside, but the moment I put them outside for a summer vacation, they took off. Fresh air and natural UV must be what they need. They were positioned in a North-East position (South-East Northern hemisphere) and sun stressed beautifully. I must compliment you on your top. Orange/red really suits you.😊🪴
Hi Fern! Beautiful hoyas. I agree that the krimson princess is so underrated! That Priktai is huge! ❤
Yes, please do a Hoya repot. I need to repot some of mine; I need the motivation 🙏🏼
I love that your OG Hoyas are in your top 10 bc I love them too😍
I can't wait to see your colored acrylic video!!!!
Ok, so crazy amount of Hoyas, lucky lady! 😵💫🤩have to agree that philodendron is my top tier but Hoya is definitely super close second! ❤I have a little harder time with mine so my collection is way smaller; spending the summer outside has def helped 🪴☀️I do love linnearis-how could you not (especially yours😍), but multiflora is my favorite!!🌸💕thanks Fern!🐶🐾be well!🌿
You have so many beautiful and unique Hoyas!!! I think my Hoya Suzie Q is my favourite in my collection with my Hoya Retusa coming in at a very close 2nd 💚💚💚
Loving your hoya content, keep it up 😊❤😻
i love the funky variegated hoya bellas!! super cool!
loved this sm! you gotta do anthurium now hehe. sending good vibes to your silver polyneura tho 😢 i dont have a full silver one but my splashy one is such a prolific grower!! once it starts i bet itll go crazy 💚🤍
I am in love with the Obavato, compacta, Australis, and of course the queen! Right now I have a crimson queen and an young Australis that's just put out it's first new growth. I had a variegated compacta that got root rot and I'm trying to save as a cutting. I can't wait to get more Hoya and watch them grow, quickly became my favorite genius.
Hoya are so hard for me because there are SO many to collect! I want to catch 'em all! lolol! Thanks for showing your gorgeous collection :) Next one on my list is is the Hoya Calycina Stargazer. The leaves are gloriously velvet and soft and lovely! ❤
Such a cool video! I absolutely LOVE hoya compacta, but every single time I've gotten one it's ended up getting mealy bugs haha. Right now my favorite hoya in my collection is my Hoya Australis Lisa and my new Krimson Queen I just got!
At one time I had several hoyas but I moved and a few of them didn’t like the new location. I didn’t catch them in time and lost a few of them. I still have the linear and the chelsea. Seeing your collection, I’m ready to start again. Thanks so much for the video. Very impressive!
Loved this video so much Fern ❤️ hoya are my favorite 😍
Fern I'm Loving your Hoyas and I have four new Hoyas coming this week And I'm getting A Chicken Farm and three others. From Plant Haven I am Stoked for them to be here. LOVEN YOUR BABYS😊❤🎉
I've recently gotten more into hoya and hoya linearis was one of my first hoya! It's doing so so well and I absolutely love it
Totally jealous of your linearis!! I've got a tiny 2-3 vine starter at the moment, can't wait until mine that big!!!!
Yes please to a Hoya repot video!!!
Hey girl, I rescued some rough looking polyneura plants from a clearance section in May. I reported them and put them in a south facing window to recover. And boy….that plant is my pride and joy now. It’s so fun and loving life.
I predicted your favourite Hoya from the start 😂 I literally got my Linearis because of you and IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!
It was a real treat to see your hoyas. I had to smile when you got down to the last five as I remembered several of them from previoius videos. Then I made a bet with myself that your linearis would be #1 and wallah there she was in all her glory. She really is stunning!!
Awe thank you so much for watching ☺️ glad you enjoyed!
