Tommy, another great review. After watching your pre view I ordered the OBX in Cyber Orange with the soft top and blue leather. I have had it a while, and use the OBX Lux for my daily driver. Two things you have wrong:
one, "it's got these 1,800 dollar wheels" that's the 2.7 V6 cost. Those wheels are standard.
two, this DOES HAVE lane centering! You have to turn it on in settings. When delivered, they don't have this turned on from the factory, but it's there and it works. Not full blue cruise, but lane centering with option of how aggressive it will turn to center.
I can add that the 2.3 as a daily is also powerful at 300hp. I average 24mpg over 15,000 miles. 19mpg and 1800 is significant price to pay for 30 more hp. I would not complain about an engine being too smooth and powerful if I had the 2.7!

@TFLnow: The Outerbanks trims is perfect for what you describe, on road driving. I love the pained fender flares and mirror caps. The price when adding the 2.7 EB and Lux brought it up to Lexus GX territory so I decided to go with that. Not as flashy but gets the job done.

9K miles on a 4-door 2.3L Outer Banks with soft top. 25 MPG overall so far. I drive mostly in the sweet sopt of 40-50MPH zones in suburbs. Took it on a trip with our family of 4 and it handled the trip great. Loud on the highway, but fine for occasional road trips like that and awesome for daily driving. Hard top looks better, but i would never trade my soft-top for one, it's just so awesome to be able to flip that top back any time i want.

I own a 2022 Outer Banks Bronco that is almost identical to the tested Bronco in this video. Area 51, MIC top, 2.7L V-6, Lux package, towing, etc. I opted for the cloth seats instead of leather, though. The review was very fair. It is my daily driver, and I commute 70+ miles daily. I get better gas mileage than what is on the sticker, though. With just over 10K miles on the Bronco, I average 21.2MPG combined. (80% highway driving) The drive quality is every bit as good as my last sedan, and even with the 4 door, it has a fantastic turn radius....making parking very easy.
I do NOT take it off road and never planned to. I bought it for Michigan winters.
This is the first vehicle I have owned that has adaptive cruise control and all of the other goodies that come with the Co-Pilot 360 setup. I will never have another vehicle that does not have adaptive cruise control. It is so convenient on the highway....reacting to traffic slowdowns and easing. I don't even have to have my foot on the gas pedal for 95% of my drive to/from work....which is a real blessing as being able to move my foot/leg helps to alleviate sciatic pain. Just one of the perks I didn't know I would get when buying this vehicle.
It is the best vehicle that I have ever owned. My only gripes are the wind noise above 70mph (and I really don't care that much...the B&O sound system is great) and the lack of power seats without opting for leather. I really like power seats but went with cloth seats so I wouldn't fry my legs when the top is off in the summer.
Bottom line: Ford hit an absolute home run with the Bronco.

The outer banks is a great daily driver, 40k miles in just over 10 months. I have a 2 door OBX 2.7 advanced 4x4 with the Lux and Tow packages - and I wheeled it this weekend. The stock wheels are very good on the highway, but I am running on 33.5" tires usually. The stock OBX shocks and springs are more compliant on the highway, but I swapped them out for the Badlands shocks and springs for wheeling my mall crawler. The cloth seats are nicer than the leather, and $2200 cheaper. You have to add additional weatherstripping to get the wind noise handled.

They are still really well optioned with some great capability still. I do like the interior and day to day liveability of the Bronco over the Wrangler.
Another feature of the side steps is they help care for the exterior. If you are wise enough to add mud guards as well, the door frames will stand up a long time. Climbing in using the steps saves the side of the seats from crushing as bad as just scrunching in. Depends on how much you like caring for your vehicles.
Still far prefer the 2 door vs the 4 door. Even more so than in the Wrangler.

Excellent content right here. (at least for me) This is what a review should be about. Detailed walk arounds are nice, but let's face it for those that are doing serious cross shopping and getting ready to go out for their own test drives, it is great to have a perception already given. As stated here the 4R ride is a bit nicer. IF I were cross shopping for a daily SUV between the jeep, 4R, and Bronco today, I would still take the 4R for long term ownership. However, as nice as this Bronco seems to be, I would think the Bronco Sport would be a better on road experience as a commuter. And from the reviews on it, it seems to be very very capable to take you off the pavement on the weekends for hiking, camping, etc. There are certainly more plush on road rides and more economical on road SUV/CUV's to choose from, but this is not horrific I suppose. A 5 out of 10 daily driver. (figuring the Sport would be closer to a 7 out of 10)

Oh yes, hands down, the Bronco is a much better daily driver than the Jeep Wrangler. At least with the Bronco, it has predictable body-on-frame S.U.V. driving manners whereas the Wrangler is darty, unrefined, loud, and awkwardly seated. And yet most are bought as pavement princesses and never used for what they were built for. I don't get why so many people put up with it, the look maybe? Sure, the Bronco buyers are no exception in terms of intended purpose but at least it was built with on-road driving manners in mind rather than the solely off-road focused Wrangler. However, the best daily Bronco is the Bronco Sport. What is essentially a Ford Escape unibody crossover with a Bronco-style body on top. This vehicle truly represents what most Bronco owners will be using theirs for; on-road daily drivers with light-duty off-road capability at their disposal.

Lmao I have been driving for 45 years I drove some real piles of shit in my time , so to question any modern made car as a daily driver is laughable. That being said I love my base model 2 door Sasquatch. It don’t have half the shit my fully loaded rocky ridge F150 has but it has enough. And it is a joy to drive in the mountains try driving a full size pickup on some mountain rds lol. Also I had a 69 bronco I paid 200 bucks for when I was younger and it was my daily driver , you people don’t know what rd noise is lol. The wipers broke so I had string running through the windows to pull them back and forth till I could get a motor at the junk yard. Great times !

What is the point of a six cylinder turbo if you're still looking at 19 overall MPG??? At lease with a V8 you'd have the authoritative rumble and bragging rights to go along with it. Also, 3500 towing? My 2 door Wrangler JK is rated for the same. I have been wanting a new Bronco since they came out with the concept car nearly twenty years ago, but so many sacrifices for the nameplate, I think a Chevy would be a better fit (for anyone not driving the Baja 1000).

I love this vehicle, but I really dislike how Ford is catering less and less to mainstream working Americans and more toward people with deep pockets (or who take on an obscene amount of debt) willing to double the base price with frivolous beauty packages. It's a telling sign when Fords are costing more than comparable Toyotas. Silly money. For $60k+ give me a Toyota Sequoia. A lot more vehicle for the money and no doubt better reliability.

I actually might be selling my '21 Bronco Outer Banks... I currently have a 2021 Ford Outer Banks 4 cylinder, advanced auto 4x4, with 4.27 Gear Ratio, Rear Locker, Aux switches, High Package and more. Soft Top Velocity Blue w/ Roast Cloth Interior. Mint condition with 8,400 miles. It has stock wheels with upgraded Nitto Ridge Grappler tires P275 70R18. It also has a fully custom sound system. It's a 7-speaker Kicker setup w/ 400 Amp, Sub, and controller. It was a professional / custom install & it blows the Lux (Bang & Olufsen) setup out of the water. If you're near NorCal and you're interested shoot me an offer or a message...
