My older brother is fighting bladder cancer and my baby brother is dealing with prostate cancer. My older brother travels 2 1/2 hours every week for infusions. He has a ranch and during his life that was his " happy place", now he can't keep up with, what it takes to take care of his little heaven on earth. My little brother is okay, he chose not to go through chemo or radiation. I ✝️ pray for healing. 🙏✝️🙏✝️
Pawpaw raised me. We did it all, played ball, threw ball, mowed/bush hogged 8 acres, weed eated, cut down treesthat fell in fhe other 4, rode horses, learned how to lasso, shoot a gun, clean the guns, drive a tractor, fix cars and lawn mowers, sit out back and talk about life and history, watch cowboy films, tend to the grave yard, go to Advanced auto constantly, taught me how to golf, shoot a bow and arrow, bait a hook, harvest your fish/game, chain saw and most importantly to stand your ground, respect your elders, respect people they give you good reason not too, remain humble and work hard. Pop died December 27th, 2017. I've never cried like i did that day. Im grateful for the 27 years we spent together, and i make sure mawmaw is taken care of. Think about ya every day, i hope ive made you proud. See you again one day pop.

On my youngest daughter’s 40th birthday we got matching tattoos. On our forearm it says Love Remembers. We still feel the loss of my Dad because Love Remembers. If you’re lucky in this world you will have that kind of love, that keeps you alive in peoples hearts.💞
Great song. I lost my dad in 1998 and couldn't say good-bye. That night he would wake up and turn on the light, disturbing me and my mom in our very cramped room. He would go to the bathroom, go back to bed and back up again with the lights on. I didn't talk to him or ask him anything. I just mumbled and complained that I couldn't sleep. Little did I know that maybe that was his way of saying good-bye. When he finally fell asleep, it was around 8.00 am. I went to this workplace to collect his salary that was overdue. When I came back, I saw my teary-eyed mom outside and then I knew. It was a time of zero cellphones in poor Cuba. They couldn't call me. I went inside the house, nudged him, held him up and carried him outside in my arms. We stopped a car and rushed to the nearest clinic. Too late. His heart had stopped sometime during the morning. I couldn't say good-bye. I couldn't tell him I was sorry. One of the things I'll always regret.

My granddaughter, age 11 and survivor of 4 brain surgeries, has been a fan of Mr. Combs for most of her young life. She literally know the words to most of his songs. The first time she heard this song, she sent it to her Papaw (my husband) because it describes him perfectly. He is a 240lb teddybear who loves Ily Rae to pieces. This is now "their song."
