I think the big bend with rear locker manual is the cheapest 4-door truck platform offroader with a real rear axle + true locking diff you can get in any vehicle. At least that was heavily weighted when I was comparing wrangler, tacoma, bronco. (Disclosure, I went with the bronco for ~38 K). It's a shame you can't add lockers to the base without going full sasquatch (which loses out on the net cost but truly a valuable package).

22 Badlands, 4d, soft top , Sas, Lux and Leather. Came in around $61k At this point, I have 5k plus miles and have had no problems. I have added tailgate table, front IAG mud flaps and removable steps. Installed some old school PIAAs at the windshield and some slim fogs between the bumper and grill. I think the soft top is way more versatile and flips back exposing front and back seats in about 10 seconds. Try that with a hard top. Noise, if that bothers you by a Toyota. Its an off road , ragtop, noise is part of the game. Leather was a good but expensive option. Power seats are great and definitely more comfortable than the marine grade vinyl. Lux gives you some great safety features, like the Adaptive cruise control, auto breaking and proximity warnings. Actually helps the insurance. i give it 5 stars. Ford built a great rig.
I own a 22 Big Bend manual transmission. I truly love it. My only draw back to it is not having a E brake peddle or hand brake. The electronic one to me doesn't seem practical for a manual. Almost ended in a ditch at work because of it.
Does the Everglades edition come with steel wheels? Does the Heritage trim come with steel wheels? Which gear uses a 1:1 ratio on the manual transmission? If a person were to buy the very least expensive version of the 2023 Bronco, would it come from the factory with skid plates? P.S. I appreciate that this video is not just about Broncos with list prices over $40,000 .
I had considered getting a Bronco but was a little disappointed that the look had drifted from the ones of my childhood. Plus some of the build quality issues had knocked it off the list as a serious contender. If there's a chance to get one of the Heritage Broncos,...well, that puts it back on the list of those to be seriously considered.
I got the 2-door in part because it looked so much like the OG. Most people I talk with (that walk right up to me in parking lots) feel the same way. Are you talking about the 80s Bronco and not the 60-70s Bronco? I do like the look of the 2-door way more than the 4-door which gives me "Ford Flex" vibes.
@@SmashTheNumbers The 60s-70s is the version of my childhood. The Bronco and the International Harvester Scout are what I saw growing up. Nobody seemed to have Jeeps.
Had a fully loaded Sasquatch on order since 6/2021. Ended up needing a four door vehicle sooner and went with an M340i. This video makes me very tempted to check out my build when it delivers in March next month. Not sure I’ll make the switch though after hearing the drawbacks.
My dad actually owns the Bronco in this video, he averages 18 mpg with 2/3 highway driving! It was a little better with the 33 inch tires that came with it. My money is on the 2.3 being less problematic but maybe the 2.7 can prove itself past the initial valve problem!
Thank you all. Interesting. I wonder, then, what the advantage of these engines is over the standard truck 3.5 Ecoboost? I tend to have a lead foot, I drove a Ford Expedition Max cross the country in 2021, deserts, mountains, highways, cities, loaded, and got just short of 20 mpg overall.
@@mountainhobo Cost and fuel mileage probably, comparing the gas mileage that way is tricky as the Bronco is more brickish and geared differently with bigger tires than the Expedition. I'd dig into the F150 2.7l and compare that to the 3.5 to get a better idea of the difference between the two (that way there are less variables)!
The roof panels have their own nylon bags and can be stored in the back cargo area. You can clip the bags to the roll bar to hold them upright. So the panels can ride with you and be replaced in seconds when the rain hits. Swing 3 levers and 1 clamp and it's set.
dont get me wrong, i have an order out, but the whole “modular bolt” thing seems kinda gimmicky. like is there anything to bolt on the grab handle mounting point (except a grab handle if your trim doesn’t include one)? Same with the aux switches. You can do so much! The sky is the limit! You can add lights and……… more lights…
I’m a Jeep guy, but Ford did a good job on the Bronco. I don’t see a significant difference between a Jeep and Bronco. Bronco has more trim levels than Jeep, but I’m not a fan of these 4 cylinder engines with a turbo. It appears that 4 cylinder engines, with a turbo, is going to be the only option in the future for most cars. Ford’s quality control issues, with all of their vehicles, is well documented. They definitely need to get that fixed because it’s costing them a fortune in warranty repairs.
Look guys. I’m old and do own a bronco and love the two door for what I want and need. Comparison of new vehicles is just like the old days. IF I could get all the parts I want my Toy FJ40 wins hands down. But what about the International Scout? Maybe the best 4x4 ever? Or a Dodge RamCharger with a 440? Sucks on fuel but was amazing. Thruth guys we all just got to accept our likes. Many might like me Hennessy Raptor and I have showed anyone that will drive it why it sucks. And yes today my wife gave me testimony in the snow. My dealership put more insulation in my subwoofer compartment and it helped a little. Charged me nothing as it's under warranty. Also, they put a new seal on the front hardtop and it too helped a little but I had some loud whistling like a flock of birds chirping. Take it in and see what they'll do under warranty.
Curious to know if the waiting times are still that long. 2024 is just around the corner and I see they’re available to purchase online but do not want to wait so long for it. Dealers tend to have the horrible sport models.
Manual Sasquatch was for 2022 i believe. From digging through the spec sheets and Ford’s press release, it seems like it is the sub and the heritage editions that i explained in the beginning.

If a person were to buy the very least expensive version of the 2023 Bronco, would it come from the factory with skid plates?
P.S. I appreciate that this video is not just about Broncos with list prices over $40,000 .
One of the better reviews I’ve seen!
That Heritage is freaking BEAutiful! Omg!
Hahaha! 2:30 launch sounded like a Gran Turismo 1 start😂
I want one so bad but there’s none at any dealers near me and have heard there is terrible wait times ordering through Ford
@@pauld6967 thats because the Jeeps of the era were horrible quality AMC
Some great style and stance from Ford on the Bronc in general...
Had a fully loaded Sasquatch on order since 6/2021. Ended up needing a four door vehicle sooner and went with an M340i. This video makes me very tempted to check out my build when it delivers in March next month. Not sure I’ll make the switch though after hearing the drawbacks.
I have a 4 door jeep Wrangler and nothing but problems I bought it new too . Been seriously looking to get a new bronco
Love this build out on the Bronco!
Can you provide a build sheet?
What is the size of the wheels? Lift? Rims and tires? fog lights?
Bronco is sick!
Where did you go for your Bronco script badges and those side rails/sliders? Look great!
I'd love to buy one if they would let me order it
Whoa! The man’s been working out! 👍🏽
Great review! Definitely earned my subscribe.
I am curious about (real life) fuel efficiency of the 2.3 + manual vs. 2.7 auto, and also about the reliability of same.
My dad actually owns the Bronco in this video, he averages 18 mpg with 2/3 highway driving! It was a little better with the 33 inch tires that came with it. My money is on the 2.3 being less problematic but maybe the 2.7 can prove itself past the initial valve problem!
They are about the same in both respects. I have 58,000 miles on the 2.7, and the biggest factor in fuel economy is tires and then exhaust.
I have the 2.7 auto and i average 18-19mpg depending on how i drive it (eco-mode) and get about 400 miles per tank..
What happens if the roof is off and you get caught in the rain? Is the interior damaged (electronics)?
Agree the six switches are corny
Great video. Which Amber pocket lights are those?
The bronco does have rear air vents they’re just under the front seats :)
Blows heat only
Thank god the bronco is back and the die hard ford ranger
Owned a Ford ranger for 29 years.🤭 Replaced it with the F-150. No issues.
I would love to have the heritage edition with the coyote in it
Thank you for saying Bilstein correctly. A small correction: it isn't the V6 that adds Trail Turn Assist. It's the automatic.
Did i say otherwise?
@@Realistick As I stated, you said the V6 adds Trail Turn Assist. It's the automatic that adds it.
@@christophernuckolls9964 Gotcha, I was under the impression that it was V6 only and not with the 2.3 auto. I'll check that again for next time!
I love the fact that you could get a two door manual transmission in the Sasquatch package
But I was being nice. Honestly I just wanted to get my truck dirty. Win or lose wasn’t an issue
The 5.7 in the tundra lasts forever!!
I have 260,000 on my 2012 tundra and I just bought a 2007 FJ cruiser with 239,000 miles …. these new electric combinations will never last that long
Badland sasquatch, 4 door with v6. Mine has been in the shop for over 58 days. I bought it July 20th 2023. Cam phasers x2, and now the check engine light is on and the radio is no longer working. 2600 miles...
Have a 2022 Wild Trak soft top I like it very much cold winter in Wisconsin and very warm in -0 temps if I wanted a luxury car I would have bought one I like it very much
The Heritage Is Beautiful.
He listens to Noname? Ofc he has taste 👏🏿🔥
Okay, guns!!! Look at those arms!
Aw Shucks
My speakers are garbage and I’ve got a distinct rattle in one at the back no matter what music I’m playing. The wireless pad has overheated my phone to the point of shutting itself down more than once. The hard top is noisy. But overall, I love my bronco. 😅 2022 Outerbanks w/Sasquatch. Have a 2023 Heritage on order.
I have the 2.7 l ecoboost in my bad lands. Bronco I have never had a problem with this engine
Can you tell what size wheels and offset you are running? Love the Stance of that one .
What tires do you have? Brand, model and number please. 😃
Got the Base 2d Manual for $31k and it’s awesome
A real steal for what you get, congrats!
So the only changes are the sub and you can get a 7 speed manual with a Sasquatch package now???
Manual Sasquatch was for 2022 i believe. From digging through the spec sheets and Ford’s press release, it seems like it is the sub and the heritage editions that i explained in the beginning.
What fog light kit do you have?
Is the manual only available on the 2 door version? Can’t get it as an option on the ford site for the 4 door base
I have a 2022 4dr Badlands Manual
What size tires you have on it when you’re standing next to it
The Sasquatch badge needs to be MUCH larger worthy of a real Sasquatch...
Need those lights. What brand?
What is the exact model that you have behind you in the thumbnail, the greyish one
Really great design
Have you heard any issues with the FordPass start function not working in the 2023s?
Yes. I spoke to Ford tech assist and they said it is a software issue and not expected to be corrected until around June. It is specific to the 2023s.
ARE THEY GONNA COME OUT WITH THE OJ PACKAGE???
which one is this ? i didnt catch the trim thanks
Badlands!
What's the name of this color?
Can't get the sasquatch package anymore they don't have the parts to complete those builds. Also can't get the lux package or the hard top on the four door
6 reasons why it’s impossible to get a Ford Bronco in 2023 should be the title
And just a year later it's not impossible. Just picked up a 2023 Sasquatch Badlands loaded with 12k miles for $52,500.
I see you listening to Noname 😎🔥
What is up with the top??? Are they all cloth top convertibles now?
Which model is this?
Been waiting 2 years and one day now...Don't hold your breath.
Oh my, what spec?
Have a 2021 with 100 miles (travel alot) it needs a new engine. Even though I kept up the service and didn't abuse. Get an extended warranty
Ford has always had great ideas when designing new vehicles however they always seem to drop the ball on the mechanic aspect of things
Please elaborate.

Wow I see your a fan of Noname 😮
I just bought the driver seat at the dealership on put it in my living room
Nice I'll go order one right meow!
What running boards are on that bronco
No reason to avoid the 2.7L.
"looks tacky" I bought a heritage because I loved the white wheels and hard top not available in any other option package.
OBJECTIVE!
Al fin un video honesto
I like the look, but as we have 2 RDXs, I don't see it in my future.
I have trail turn assist in my 2.3l
Need the OJ edition with a knife and gloves as standard features with an alibi option
Cancelled order... I'll just pick one up , slightly used , at a deep discount when a tidal wave of these get repo'd next year . hahaha ✌🏼
Dawg idk if you’ve seen it but lightly used broncos and jeeps are much worse deals than new ones (if you get it at sticker)
@@Realistick Who said I'd be paying sticker? 🤣...There will be a fire sale on these things next year. More than half the people buying now, at top dollar , cant afford them, hello rep man... easy pickins. ✌🏼
@@alloutnutrition3446 That may be the case for a Ford Escape or other cheap rides and cars that cater to bad credit loans but that seems delusional for the Bronco from my experience of buying cars at dealer auctions. Nothing is impossible I suppose, especially with how unstable things are, best of luck!
@@Realistick I'm guessing you have never been around an inverted yield curve, and the resulting economic recession....Well, you'll find out soon enough. 😂🤣 ✌🏼
