      Is there going to be a separate dedicated Wizard one focused from that point of view?

    I’m a ranger beast master, I have my armored bear that I named Capella and it’s a beast.
    A fun class that allows me to just hang back.

    just been cooking ranger fighter, where you take hunter ranger to 4 levels and fighter to 8 levels, ensuring all 4 feats, and not wasting extra attack, you get one of the hunter bonuses, and you can focus on strength and heavy armour while using the titanstring bow to not lose ranged damage, additionally you get longstrider and other useful ritual spells due to the early ranger levels, you can utilise hunters mark too, i just think this combination of unique points of damage can be really effective, alternatively you can use phalar aluve and be a dex based character taking the yuan ti mail for full dex bonus, lots of options to this IMO.

    1:28 tip for console/controller players. If you want to give your beast companion (or any other summon) an elixir or potion, you have to drop it on the ground. Then take control of the summon, walk up to the elixir and you will get the prompt to drink it. Unfortunately you can’t just select it from your inventory like is shown here in the PC version.

    I dip my Beastmaster Minthara (spider pet + spider familiar) 1 level in Monk. That additional attack is pretty good with the Tavern Brawler feat. You are also not penalized for using medium armor when you multiclass Monk with a class that is proficient in it. You take all weapon proficiencies from Ranger and while you can't use weapons marked "Two- Handed" you can still use Versatile weapons. Versatile weapons also work with the Great Weapon Master feat. This allows you to set up a poor man's Kensei Monk in a way.

    I love build videos. What I love even more is that there is no shitty build in this game, every combo is fun so just go fukin wild.

      Try a Druid Monk 6/6 build

      @@Realmohg my first build was Druid Bard, without appreciating any of their best moves. With dual Barbarian squad and Shadowheart. I still fukin wrecked everybody.

      There are definitely shitty builds lol. The game just isn’t that hard so you can make it through even with a bad build. But there are still a ton of possibilities with multiclassing, and that’s part of what makes this game amazing

    • @davealaya
      @davealaya 5 месяцев назад

      @@hobojoe9717 That makes absolutely no sense. The difficulty can be customized, and there are no shit builds. Arguing that the ease of progress in your experience allowed all builds to be viable directly supports that fact.
      Build options and their viability are not dependent on difficulty.

    1 thing I noticed you got wrong. Losing out on the Hunter level 11 subclass feature, whirlwind attack/volley is not worth any dip into another class. That skill is so busted.

    Rangers are best because you get a bear.
    Druids are also the best because you can BE a bear.

    Yes! Been waiting for this one.
    I keep being drawn to the WARLOCK/RANGER combo.
    If I could recreate that vibe in every RPG I would.
    Some other really good combos here though.

    I have to great effect been using 2 points in warlock great old one for devils sight and been spamming darkness arrows. Its been absolutely fantastic. Plus fear on crit, AND hex works with ranged. Will never go back.

    My dark urge character was a gloom stalker thief rogue with dual hand crossbows. There's a few items that increase damage while you're concentrating on a spell, so hunter's mark is almost doubled. I dulled orin and killed her on the second round. It was nuts

    The 2 level dip for Sorceror is very underrated late game. Being able to twin hail of thorns while overlapping the auras of Piercing damage and using other means to force Piercing vulnerability and crits all leads to majorly fun numbers! It's just a little jank tho, because both targets don't take the same damage - the crits only apply to the second target selected

    Considering a small dip into monk for my ranger. Unarmored defense stacks well & I plan on picking up cats Grace. Gives me an 18AC, advantage in sleight of hand. Will probably go 1-2 levels in Monk, 2-4 levels in fighter and the rest in ranger

    If I had the game, I think I would make a Level 7 Light Cleric of Eilistraee Level 5 Gloomstalker Ranger who is a Mage Hunter, either Seldarine Drow or Wood Elf.

    I was wondering what I was going to do with my dex-based Ranger in terms of good melee polearms (I love the polearm master feat), but then you showed that monks allow non-two-handed proficient weapons to use dexterity even if they're not versatile, so thank you muchly for helping me figure out a massive problem with my build (I'll probably use spears or Cacophany for that extra smite and thunder damage). I'm planning on going Beast Master ranger, but wanted a 1 level dip to add to and spice things up. Was thinking fighter for that extra fighting style, but this is just as good if not better.
    In terms of Ranger-Rogue, I once had Astarion as a Hunter Ranger-Thief Rogue, and I quite often got him to crit up to 4 times in a single attack. Probably due to my gear at the time, but it was amazing nontheless

    Not the first to say it, but losing out on volley and whirlwind is definitely a meaningful loss. While I agree it doesn't make a ton of sense to talk about multi-classes that only involve a single level dip, and its not as grave an offense as trying to multi-class beast master, volley and whirlwind represents a major power spike for Hunter in multi-target scenarios.

    I believe 5 gloomstalker ranger, 3 assassin rogue, 3 sword bard, 1 war cleric is the best archer you can build in this game. If u get major invisibility and passing without a trace u break the game because no npc will ever be able to find u. And when u finally enter combat u basically get 6 shots worth of damage, with at least one crit/target. U can also use the auto crit with the arrow that hits multiple target to just murder a whole crowd of npc in a single shot. u can also have Astarion just hanging around your targets in stealth with bhaalist armor to make them vulnerable to piercing damage

    • @common_undead
      @common_undead 5 месяцев назад +1

      If you're okay using arrow of many targets, then you want to go gloomstalker 5, BM fighter 3, assassin 3, war domain cleric 1. You get gloomstalker's special attack, 4 arrows of many targets with action surge, and 1 regular attack with war domain cleric, increased to 6 arrows of many targets if you're using bloodlust elixir and haste, and all of them crits against surprised enemies.

      By spell blade are you talking about pact of the blade? That allows you to use any weapon you want which is incredibly versatile, so I’d be surprised if you were having trouble doing good damage

    Deepened Pact in Warlock only works for your main hand weapon, correct? You wouldn't be able to get three shots with a bow by stacking ranger's extra attack with deepened pact?

    • @common_undead
      @common_undead 5 месяцев назад +1

      One the deepened pact stacking with extra attack doesn't work in honor mode, so be mindful of that if you're planning to run a multiclass there. Two, no. Unfortunately you cannot pact bind ranged weapons. When you do use the pact bind action, it binds with whichever melee weapon is in your main hand. But you can then switch this weapon to your offhand if you want to dual wield while having your offhand weapon be pact bound.

    New player here, I like the look of the ranger class & think I'd really enjoy the ranger / rogue play style.
    My question is if I want to work toward 9 ranger 3rogue build how would you level this? Would you go all the way to 9 in ranger then start on rogue or would you maybe do 3 ranger then 3 rogue then finish off ranger after?
    Really informative video, thank you.

    • @eclecticchef9294
      @eclecticchef9294 4 месяца назад

      if you're thinking of going with a stealth build, you can take 5 ranger, 3 rogue, then 4 ranger to finish. Or, you could go 3 rogue and 9 in ranger. I think assassin and gloomstalker stack well together so personal preference for which you choose first. Personally, I like the extra attack ranger gives at lvl 5 so I'd do that, but you obviously don't have to.
      Another idea is going 3-6 into ranger, 3 into rogue, and finishing with a third subclass into something like fighter (fighter level 2 for action surge, level 3 for champion or battlemaster). don't know if anyone else has ideas on that...

    Youre talking a lot about what the other classes give, but you dont say much or anything on how does it synergise for Ranger, the entire point of multiclassing
