- Guitar is great for Metal and rock! The custom Fishman Fluence Keith Merrow pickups sound great with plenty of gain and warmth, giving you more tones options than ever!
Based off of Keith Merrow's USA MKIII Studio model, the Schecter KM-6 MK-III Artist is tailor-made for modern metal. Benefit from exotic looks, along with a robust natural tone and resonance, thanks to a poplar burl-topped swamp ash body. Plug in and enjoy warm, gritty humbucking tones from a duo of Keith Merrow Custom Series Fishman Fluence pickups. This guitar's 9-piece wenge/maple/purpleheart neck is stable, fast, and comfortable, while its neck-through construction ensures maximum sustain. The KM-6 MK-III Artist includes an Ernie Ball compensated nut and Hipshot locking tuners for rock-solid intonation.

Your demo proves to me that you can't judge a book by it's cover. I would have looked up on the wall and said "metal" and moved on. You draw such beautiful tone from the guitar that I believe it would be fine for jazz or whatever anyone wanted to do with it. When I get stressed out I watch your playing and it soothes my mind. Thanks for that. You have my deepest admiration and respect, for what it's worth.
Thank you Craig ✌💙
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I second this opinion! Craig said it very well. Thank you for the review!
I said the same thing to myself. METAL!!!!. But johnathon makes it’s sound classic and good
Jonatham has a way with making beautiful tunes. This guitar is designed to be a very versatile instrument. Keith Merrows music is quite broad in range.
Keith Merrow has a lot of experience with pickups, specifically. Doesn't surprise me that his artist signature has magnificently voiced pups.
I came for the guitar. I stayed because you are freaking amazing! Inspiring playing!
Thank you ! ✌💙
I enjoy your music so much Jon. great work once again.
Thank you ✌❤
Beautiful demonstration, great playing, keep it up man.
Thanks a lot!✌♥
I’m not normally too influenced by RUclips reviews but your review Jonathon convinced me to buy one. Thank you for your great review.
Thank you. Enjoy!!✌️❤️
I'm so very glad I found your review and I really appreciate that you are your authentic self. As someone who has been playing for quite some time I already knew that of course this guitar can do metal quite well. It was a breath of fresh air seeing you and hearing you play what you played on this guitar so I could get a better idea of how it handles these kinds of situations!
Thank you
Great review sir! Great playing, very professional. Subbed! Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Have a blessed day!
Thank you✌️❤️
I always see your playing as the interpreter for the soul of the guitar that you are demonstrating. So much talent Jonathan, I think you can bring the best out of any guitar 🎸
Thank you! ✌❤
Nice playing. I appreciate the clean tones showing how this guitar is not just a metal guitar like most demo's show it as 👍
Glad you liked it!✌❤
my dream guitars, such beautifull tone comes from you..
Nice playing and tone as always bro, I admire you always with your style of playing and pick of notes , it comes melodic in my ears always. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Thank you ✌️❤️
I love this guitar, It's a unbelievable instrument! You can pull any tone out of it. The construction is top notch. Great video Jon!
Thanks a lot!✌️❤️
Wow. Beautiful sounds. Every guitar looks great i your hands. The silence plays too.
lol ✌❤
it's fantastic to see review of this versatile guitar that isn't metal. Love it!!.
✌️❤️
what a beauty (talking about the guitar) ... thx Jonathan :-)
Of course you are!!’ Lol
really nice guitar Jonathan , lovely tone and lovely playing ,
Glad you like it!✌♥
Come and play a show in Chicago! We are so ready for it!😱
Would love to…one day✌️❤️
great sound jon like it great playing as usual
Thanks Joe! ✌❤
@@JonIsJustTooLoud your welcome jon your a joy to watch
It really does jump out of the screen and scream quality Jon. Absolutely beautiful. I never use tone knobs and I have to say the multiple tones on this are amazing. I especially loved the custom settings. Brilliant intro and amazing guitar Jon 😀👍👍👍
Yes I like the custom setting too✌️❤️
I said it before, I never thought I'd EVER own a Schecter but here I am. The guitar in this review is closest to the one I purchased this year- The PT SLS Elite. Construction is identical, right down to the neck, radius, and hardware. I wasn't getting along with the Fluence Modern pickups though- too far in the virtuoso speed metal direction (they HATED energetic rock and roll chord strumming). I swapped to the Fluence PAFs with coil split just 3 days ago and Jonathan you are right, they sound fantastic. Now my Schecter is truly complete- a huge range of tone options. It's what the guitar deserved, because it really does beg to be played and with the pickup swap there is no genre it doesn't like. I am really happy with the pickups and love love love playing this thing.
I'm glad !! Thanks for sharing!✌❤
Great review. Thank you. I was (am) focussed on the Ibanez RG652AHMFX but after this review I probably need to choose. And also thank you for the great playing.
Glad you enjoyed the video ✌️❤️
Have both of those , and I can just say that You can't go wrong with either... Both are great looking and great playing guitars. I prefer schecter neck profile over Ibanez , and playing the stainless steel frets is just super slinky and easy :)
wow staggering solo in the beginning, very good phrasing. lovely!
Thank you Vincent✌️❤️
I love this guitar it's like a demonic metal machine!! Love Schecter guitars! 🤘 Great job as always!
Lol it’s just a guitar… ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud what can I say I'm an enthusiastic metal head lol
@@onionheadguy7094 well I kinda guessed it 😆
THIS SOUND IS AMAZING!!!! ALL THOSE FISHMAN PICKUPS SOUND SO GOOD
✌♥
I have the seven string version of this guitar finished in blue crimson 💙 its so nice!
Cool ✌️❤️
Amazing my friend!
Thank you✌️❤️
Beautiful looking and sounding guitar. Such very good sustain but this is expected with a neck thru design. Thank you for the review. :)
Glad you like it!✌💚
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I bought one from Sweetwater. You were right Jon. This is a very easy guitar to play. It invites you to play more and more. 😀
Good Presentation Good Job Simple Clear
Thank you✌️❤️
I loved this guitar when I had it, I ended up not liking the cut of burl I had and chose the Km7 mkiii hybrid instead. Awesome demo Johnathon.
Thanks for sharing!✌🤓

Played fabulously. I bit to shreddy for me with the thin neck and flat fretboard but somebody will love it.
Yes I'm sure ✌❤
What a great guitar at a steal of a price!!
Indeed✌️❤️
At first, this looks like a typical shred guitar. But then you showed the back and it looks amazing. Then you showed the side profile and it looks thinner than I expected. Very cool. Hope you’re doing well, friend.
I’m good Aaron.. thanks✌️❤️
You understand good tone. Alot of people don't.
Thanks!
thanks man. Just ordered mine, but i've got the 7 strings version. Cheers
Enjoy!✌💙
I love this guitar apart from the pointy horns and lack of a tone knob, I also like a volume for each pickup for blending the tones
aye..thats true too...✌❤
Looks extremely comfortable
sure is! ✌❤
I bought mine as I'm a Merrow fan (and fell in love with the purple/blue version when I first saw it). A year later I got this one (7 string version). The tones are pretty broad, neck feels solid. Can't fault it... But I would have liked a forearm slant on the body
Nice!!! ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I'm primarily a bassist so I'm used to the longer scale of a 7 string (it's 26.5in)
Ah!! That’s interesting!
@@JonIsJustTooLoud haha. Thanks for the quick reply! I use a Spector Euro 5 LX (it's a tank, at 35in). Playing a regular 25in scale guitar feel weird to me... I'm no guitarist, not at all, but I had to get the KM MKiii
Hello my friend. I really liked the video and thank you. I actually have a question. I'm looking to buy a guitar but can't decide between the SLS elite and the mk6 kmIII. I will be grateful if you guide me.
cant help you...you're on your own sorry...✌
Great review! Have you ever reviewed the James Tyler Line 6 guitar?
Nope✌️❤️
I've said it before and it bares repeating. This guy could play a shoe box with strings on it and make it sound fantastic.
lol..✌️❤️😝
Sir, do you think there is a real and notice sound difference between Regular Fishman Fluence sound vs this K.M.?
yes there is...✌💙
Great review! How does this compare with the SLS Elite? Neck, pickups, build quality? Would you recommend one over the other?
Sorry what’s a SLS?
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Sorry I wasn't more specific. You had a review of the evil twin. I wondered if you had any experience with the Schecter C1 SLS Elite. I enjoy your guitar playing in your videos - thanks!
Hey johnathon. You think you could get a good PAF sound or a Gibson kinda sound from this guitar on some of the voicings
Yes you could ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud ok thank you. Keep up the great videos
@@Terrysoddy ✌️❤️
Nissssssssssssssssssce 🍻
✌️❤️
I own one and love the shape and build quality, my burl top is pretty thin and muted but I'll live with it. My biggest disappointment is the Fishman Keith Merrows. I like the bridge pickup ok but the neck adds nothing but toneless mush, voicing switch does little to nothing to my ears. Split coil doesn't sound like single coil. Fishman moderns sound great to me and I wanted to swap them from an Ibanez I have. Nope, the routs on this axe are form fitted to open coil buckers, moderns won't fit DAMN!

What amp or amp model were you playing through for this demo?
Check the description please
Hi Jonathan, I did check the description, but it only says Line 6 Native. I was wondering which amp model you were using. Did I miss something in the description?
Ah.. I mostly use a fender twin sim for the clean tones.. and the soldano/bogner for heavier tones✌️❤️
Thank you for the info. I have played a KM7 and had noticed there was some sparkle in your tone that you don’t really hear in other demos., which is why I was asking. Great demo!
In my head, I can imagine what you would sound like playing the solo from The Cars’ “Tonight She Comes” with this rig 😀
I'm in between this one and the Schecter Banshee with Evertune bridge.
I'm sold by the Evertune bridge, but this one is awesome.
Did you ever play the Banshee one? What is your opinion on it? (in case you did play it)
I’m not too sure..✌️❤️
nice guitar imo tho id rather have schecter branded locking tuners and have the rechargable battery pack for the fishmans i do find it a bit pricey for a korean guitar when u look at that there are custom shop guitars already in that range
I'm pretty sure the schecter custom shop models are way above ...✌❤
@@JonIsJustTooLoud yeah i ment other brands that are supirior ofcourse
@@Jay-rd6fe
Which brands are better than schecter in the mid-range?
According to you, which guitar is much better than this Km6 MKlll in the range of 1500 - 1700 USD, which for that price has the same characteristics and accessories or better?
Don't tell me that Kiesel's crap, who treats his clients like shit, and charges you 3k USD for a guitar that can be on the same level as an 800 or 1500 range schecter.
The Truth Schecter and LTD are the queens of the mid-range without quibble.
If I want to buy something much more expensive, that has better paint finishes, more exotic woods, and a feast for the eyes, I would go for skervesen raptor 6 or mayoness duvell elite, but neither of them cost 1,500 USD sadly.
And even knowing that those guitars would not have a "BETTER TONE" than the schecter, but as something "AESTHETIC", in which you would spend 2k more.
YOU PLAY SO BEAUTIFULLY, DO YOU GIVE GTR LESSONS?
Yes I do.. on zoom ✌️❤️
