Also, the video is saying there’s a rapture of people leaving earth and those of us left behind. That’s what the song is about. Watching those we love leave us behind and fighting for a breath of fresh air when you’re drowning in sorrow.
Royal Beggars by Architects is an absolute banger, one of my favorites along with this song and Animals. Also it's great seeing Kayla lightweight turn into a metalhead 😂 love it
Same here except I found architects a couple of years ago but discovered Imminence and ERRA last year and absolutely love them! If you like that you should check out Resolve, newer metalcore band from France but their vocalist is incredible. My favorite by them is probably Emarald Skies but they are another favorite that I found last year.
All music has dark sides to it, growing up as a strictly metal/metal core fan, my family always thought i was sadistic or some shit lmao. And there are songs like that, but not just in metal. Makes me extremely happy people like you are willing to give it an open-minded shot, architects are amazing, maybe check out i prevail, and maybe parkway drive? Both those bands have amazing stories. So this song/ the album it’s off is about them dealing with the death of their band mate (and brother of the drummer) Tom who died of cancer, see also “gone with the wind” by them, it was written by Tom about him dying.

While not even an Architects song, it’s somehow the most authentically Architects sounding song it several years (probably since this album, Holy Hell, came out).
