Holy Hell was the last album Tom was able to work on and be a part of. I love this band and literally get tears when I hear Gone With the Wind. Even in the pits live it’s a super emotional thing and you can tell.
Tom meant a lot to his bandmates, as well as us promoters and fans. Architects have always treated everyone like family. There are some really strange circumstances leading to his passing that the public just wasn’t aware of. They released a new album, arguably their best to date at that point, booked a massive world tour, and then cancelled everything without explanation. I still remember getting the text from Sam (vocalist) of his passing, and being shook. No one knew for months what was going on, claiming the band couldn’t deal with being vaulted to another level, completely oblivious that Tom had terminal cancer, and the darker, nihilistic themes and messages of the album about the world coming to an end, were about his world coming to an end.
Just got recommended this video and saw your comment. I know a few people that have suffered with and lost their battle with cancer. A lot of times, people with cancer will hang on to do one last thing and then suddenly and very quickly deteriorate. Afterwards because their immune system is exhausted from fighting so hard to accomplish that one last thing. AOGHAU might have been that thing for Tom, and once he finished it, he didn't have to fight anymore and could finally rest.
Architects gone with the wind Tom wrote the lyrics knowing he was going to eventually die of his cancer so it’s from the perspective of someone knowing it’s over basically
this song helped me greatly, my 4 week old son was in heart failure and i had no idea if he will make it. every time i was driving home i blasted this in my car whilst crying. it helped alot to keep myself together
I know we’re literally strangers on the internet but I’m glad something kept you moving forward dude. My condolences to you man, just keep the memories and keep your eyes forward man. Much love to you always🖤
Architects. Black Lung, Dead Butterfllies. Glad to see you both checking out this. Also try Imminence. Heaven in hiding. Temptation. And Wage War. High Horse, Circle the drain.
Every time I understand the true meaning behind a metal song I feel as if I start to cry because they can all be connected to my life from something that happened in the past.
Stumbled across this. Huge architect fan, and enjoy reaction videos. I respect you guys are reacting to something out of the "norm" for what you probably usually listen to, but this was comical. Neither of you speak english properly, especially home girl trying so hard to speak "hood". The song is emotional and significant, especially for the drummer and Architect fans alike. Just felt nothing genuine came from this. But whatever, best wishes to you both.
It is clear you two don’t like metal at all. You two are so out of sync, and are very bad in front of a camera. This just feels so disingenuous. I would stop while you’re ahead 👌
What a mean spirited comment. They clearly are trying something new and if you think everyone is great at everything straight away, then you are more naive than you sound. Leave them be and question yourself and your shitty attitude before questioning anyone else.
I think you’re too used to the exaggerated overhyped reactions some other reactors give. These two clearly are not on that train, however it doesn’t mean they’re out of the game. On top of that, they’re giving metal a try.

Architects made this song after their lead guitarist, founder, and identical twin to the drummer, dan, died. RIP Tom, this song has so much meaning.
Best band seen live saw them with Bury tomorrow at brixton a few years ago was fucking insane
@@SeventhCircle77 yeah. They were in the middle of writing it when he passed.
